I was actually kinda disappointed with the fights overall last night. Not quite as much excitement as I had hoped. I thought Cote/Le would have put on a much more exciting fight and had hoped that Guillard would show his skills and power a little better. Maia and Hyun Kim ending early because of injury didn't help. Too bad. I was really looking forward to this one.

My chest hurts just watching that knee he landed. Ouch. The moment just before impact was classic. Missed spinning back fist into collapse against the octagon, begging off in the corner...and then BAM! It would be tough to script it better than it came off in real time.

Sonnen's camp are apparently trying to get it ruled a 'no contest' for the trunks grabing and the knee.

Sonnen's camp are apparently trying to get it ruled a 'no contest' for the trunks grabing and the knee. Everyone knows I'm the biggest Chael fan, but sorry, this shit isn't flying. Chael admited that Silva was the better man, and it should be left at that. I think this is a desperate attempt to get an immediate rematch. Based on what I saw from the shots from LWPD, it's back at the end of the line like everyone else. With that being said, I hope Sonnen destroys his next few opponents and gets another shot!
