Awesome card Tim.
I also liked how you introduced the Mongols during the opening match and set up a feud between them and the Samoans.
Congrats to The Sheik for his now 1 year reign as your North American Champion.
Great main event between Race and Bockwinkel and I'm looking forward to Steve Williams' title defense against Curt Hennig.
Is there a possibility that you, Cory, and Chad might add the card you used for Big John Studd in a future set of 4 to LOW Bootlegs?

Cory really runs the LOW Bootleg show, so it's up to him. My Studd bootleg didn't have a lot of research behind it, and was limited to what I remember from his WWF run against Andre.

I'd definitely love to put up Studd. Tim sent me the draft after he first used him in the NWF and he looked good. I'll have to think up three others to put him with.

Cory, You could always include Big John Studd in a set of 4 with a Heenan Family theme. There are lots of former Heenan Family members from both the AWA and the WWF that could work for the other 3 members of that set of four such as Paul Orndorff, Ken Patera, the Blackjacks, the Islanders, and even the Brooklyn Brawler. ;D Tim, These are my predictions for your next card: Brad Armstrong over Tom Prichard King Kong Mosca over Jim Duggan Greg Valentine over Ted DiBiase Bockwinkel and Stevens over Race and Larry Hennig Dr. Death retains his title over Curt Hennig

I'll keep that in mind. Alright, I'll stop piggy backing on Tim's fed thread. My picks for next card are Armstrong, DiBiase, Mosca, Bock and Stevens, and...can't pick for the title bout!

Card #276 – 04/18/2008 Erie County Fieldhouse – Erie, PA
Last week saw the first appearance of Oliver Humperdink’s latest find – the Mongols! This week we’ll see their in-ring debut along with two big matches for the Heenan Family as Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens face Harley Race & Larry Hennig and Curt Hennig goes for the gold against powerhouse champ Steve Williams! Let’s get to the action…
1. Samoan Island Tribe b Danny Doring & Larry Sharpe Oliver Humperdink may not have been thrilled with the Samoans, but they looked good in this match, dominating Doring & Sharpe. Humperdink came to ringside at one point, but referee Andy DePaul had security take him back to the locker room before tempers flared. Samu finished off Sharpe with the Diving Headbutt. This ends a five match winless streak for the Samoans.
2. Billy “Red” Lyons b Al Costello If not for Wild Red Berry at ringside, Costello wouldn’t have had a chance. Lyons got the upper hand right away, and only Berry’s frequent interference gave Costello a breather. Even with the Redheads out of title contention for the moment, their conflict with the Kangaroos is still evident. Sixth straight singles loss this year for Costello.
3. Roy Heffernan dq Ivan Koloff Koloff and Greg Valentine are the next challengers for the tag titles, currently held by the undefeated Kangaroos. This one didn’t last long as once Koloff got Heffernan outside the ring, things fell apart. The Russian Bear nailed Heffernan with his own tag title belt for the DQ.
4. Mongols b S.D. Jones & Cousin Luke Sir Oliver Humperdink led his imposing new team to the ring. Clad in animal hides, and with one spike of hair on their otherwise bald heads, it was a scary sight. Geeto appears to be the leader of the team, while Bepo is just a huge brute. The finish saw the Mongols finish off Cousin Luke with the Mongolian Drop, a combination of a backbreaker by Bepo and top rope kneedrop by Geeto. The backbreaker is similar to the one used by former NWF stars Nikolai Volkoff and Masked Executioner #2.
5. Tom Prichard b Brad Armstrong Without Bullet Bob at the arena, Brad was on his own and it wound up making a huge difference. Armstrong just dominated Cornette’s newest signee. It was completely one-sided until the finish. Brad used the Russian Legsweep, but the Midnight Express came to the ring while Cornette distracted referee Mark Curtis. Eaton & Condrey did the Double Goozle to Armstrong, allowing Prichard to use a slingshot suplex moments later for the cheap win.
6. King Kong Mosca b Jim Duggan Mosca called Duggan’s win in their first meeting a fluke, but Hacksaw gave Big Nasty a rough time again. Lou Albano was ringside but not much of a factor. At one point, they were both down in football stances charging at one another. Neither man seemed to get the better of those exchanges. When it came to the actual match, Mosca won a close one, loading up his elbow pad to knock Duggan silly, then clamping on the Sleeper.
7. Greg Valentine b Ted DiBiase In the battle of Figure 4 Leglocks, Valentine came out on top, pushing his 2008 record to 6-0, and showing he’s still a top singles contender. The match was fairly even, but Valentine got a key distraction from manager Lou Albano along the way to help keep him undefeated.
8. Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens dq Harley Race & Larry Hennig After the fantastic singles match that headlined last week’s STEEL BELT CLASH, Race and Bockwinkel meet again in tag action! When these teams clashed two weeks ago, it was Race pinning Bockwinkel. Last week in singles, it was Bockwinkel pinning Race. This week tempers had escalated a bit, and after a long competitive bout, Race and Bockwinkel were standing toe-to-toe trading haymakers outside the ring. Referee Bucky Palermo had been somewhat lenient preferring to let all four battle it out, but when Race clocked Bockwinkel with a steel chair, he had to call for the bell. All four were slugging it out after the decision until the Heenan Family decided it was best to retreat.
9. NWF Championship: Steve Williams cor Curt Hennig With Williams having defeated Bockwinkel for the title and defended successfully against Ray Stevens, Hennig was the last chance (in the near term) for the Heenan Family to regain the NWF belt. The match started strong, with each man barely escaping the others finishing move. The action went back and forth briefly until Doc pressed Hennig over his head and dumped him onto Heenan on the floor. Hennig was unable to beat referee Izzy Moidel’s ten count, although he will likely get a rematch since the bout didn’t end in a decisive manner.
Dr. Death has piled up a great title run, one of the top five in NWF history! He’ll be in action again next week when we visit Pittsburgh’s Civic Arena! Here’s the current lineup:
* Give those tough Samoans credit! Despite the imposing stature of Humperdink’s new combo, Alofa has challenged Geeto Mongol to a singles match!
* Bob & Brad Armstrong are jumping right into the feud with Jim Cornette! They will team to face Dennis Condrey & Tom Prichard next week! In the past, Prichard has had some issues with Bobby Eaton, but Cornette claims that is water under the bridge! Look out, because this match is likely to get a little crazy!
* Nick Bockwinkel would like Larry Hennig to leave him alone, but the big man won’t go away! Hennig still holds Bockwinkel responsible for his son’s betrayal. The two split wins in their previous meetings, and the Axe would love to get another victory over the Heenan Family’s top star!
* NWF Champion Steve Williams wasn’t satisfied with the countout victory over Curt Hennig this week, and will get a second chance at the cocky star when they meet in tag-team action next week! Williams will team with Hacksaw Jim Duggan while Hennig pairs up with manager Bobby “the Brain” Heenan in what looks like the prelude to a title rematch!
* Harley Race is looking for a rematch with Nick Bockwinkel, but will have to settle for tag partner Ray Stevens next week! Race will try to end a four match losing streak as Stevens attempts to better his 6-1 record when these two top contenders hit the mat!
* Your big main event will see the Fabulous Kangaroos put their perfect record and tag-team titles on the line against Greg Valentine & Ivan Koloff! Lou Albano is the master of tag-team strategy, having taken four different teams to the top of the NWF heap! Can he guide his latest team to victory over Wild Red Berry’s unstoppable Aussie combination?
See you next week in Pittsburgh!

Like the events with the Mongols and Samoans, but really like the direction Steve Williams is headed! The Doctor is on a roll in my fed, but hasn't landed a belt yet (nor a title shot). I am working on something, but need the dice to cooperate. Good luck!

*** NWF BREAKING NEWS *** In some personnel news, former North American champ Larry Zbyszko has given notice and will be leaving the area. Zbyszko was voted 2006 Newcomer of the Year, but despite being the only man to pin The Sheik, never quite lived up to his potential. Recently, Zbyszko was loosely aligned with Harley Race & Larry Hennig, but that alliance was based more on mutual hatred for the Heenan Family than anything else. That leaves Race & Hennig down a man in their battle with the Heenan Family, but not for long! It has been learned that Race & Hennig have convinced west coast superstar Pepper Gomez to make the trip east! “ The Man with the Cast Iron Stomach” has reportedly agreed to terms and will make his debut in mid-May! Gomez and Heenan Family member Ray Stevens had a legendary feud in the San Francisco area. Expect those two to clash again when they meet in the NWF!

Card #277 – 04/25/2008 Civic Arena – Pittsburgh, PA
Promoter note: this was my first card using the updated charts.
This is the first Pittsburgh show since the highly successful SUPERBOWL OF WRESTLING 5, and the atmosphere is electric (partially due to Chad Olson’s wedding on Saturday, which several NWF fans are attending)! There’s another great lineup on hand! We’ve got Armstrongs and Cornette, the entire Heenan Family and the undefeated Kangaroos! Let’s get to the action…
1. S.D. Jones b Danny Doring The ongoing undercard feud continued in this exciting opener. Dastardly Danny has been asking for a NWF title shot, but those requests have fallen on (thankfully) deaf ears. Both really showcased their skills, but it was Philadelphia’s Favorite Son coming out on top after a Headbutt to pick up his first win of 2008.
2. Samoan Alofa dq Geeto Mongol Oliver Humperdink is back with a new team, and his first target appears to be the team he first managed when entering the NWF, the Samoan Island Tribe! The feisty Samoans have no problem with that, and are eager to prove they are much better than Humperdink ever gave them credit for. This was just a slugfest that eventually wound up outside the ring. Geeto swatted Alofa with a steel chair for the DQ, followed by Samu and Bepo joined in for a pull apart brawl before security got involved.
3. Dennis Condrey & Tom Prichard b Bob & Brad Armstrong In this one the Armstrongs face a makeshift duo of Condrey & Prichard. Bob Armstrong was quick to point out Prichard’s problems with Eaton when Cornette managed both in Tennessee. Cornette claims there are no problems, and that everyone is happy. This was a really good match that saw the Armstrongs just dismantle Cornette’s duo early on. Prichard got busted open, but after some timely manager interference, Condrey took over on Bullet Bob. Brad carried the action from that point, with Bob only in briefly for the remainder of the match. After more interference by Cornette, Condrey was able to use the Face First Legsweep to get the pinfall on Brad.
4. Bobby Eaton b Jimmy Valiant Two Jim Cornette matches in a row – can the fans survive? These two may be noted more for their success as tag-team wrestlers, as each has held the NWF tag belts three times. Despite that, both were in the Top 10 singles rankings as of March 31st and are hoping to still be there as of April 30th. It was a frustrating match for Valiant, who had to contend with Jim Cornette at ringside without the aid of partner Mad Dog Vachon, who was not on the card. Cornette was his usual loud and obnoxious self, interfering on four different occasions. The final one saw him trip Valiant and hold the leg as Eaton went for a lateral press that blocked the referee Izzy Moidel from seeing the interference. Eaton got the tainted win and moves his record to 6-1 on the year.
5. Curt Hennig & Bobby Heenan b Steve Williams & Jim Duggan Carnage and confusion throughout this one. Referee Bucky Palermo may have gotten the best workout just trying to maintain order. Wild finishing sequence saw Palermo getting squashed on a turnbuckle whip by Duggan on Heenan. Duggan tries to revive Bucky but Heenan clobbers him with a foreign object. A groggy Palermo recovers enough to make the count. At two, Williams grabs Heenan and buries him with a lariat, but doesn’t get DQ’d because the ref is still hazy. Duggan recovers enough to use the Flying Spear, but can’t follow up with a cover. Heenan is knocked to his corner by the Spear, and makes the desperation tag to Hennig. Hennig is then able to finish off the woozy Duggan with a rolling neck snap. Crazy stuff.
6. Ted DiBiase ddq King Kong Mosca This was a real brawl that saw lots of big moves and damage, but no one really attempting to pin their opponent. It wound up with referee Paddy Grimes trying to separate the two during an exchange, only to get punched by both grapplers during the heat of battle.
7. Harley Race b Ray Stevens Race was trying to get back in the win column after dropping four straight. Stevens had been on a tear before losing to Steve Williams a month ago. Race was in top form here. He did a great job of keeping the brawling Stevens in the ring, and when the action did hit the floor, Race didn’t lose many exchanges. Heenan was moving a little slowly at ringside due to taking a beating in the earlier tag match. Race used the Piledriver to get the win, and Heenan was a split second late trying to break up the pin.
8. Nick Bockwinkel b Larry Hennig Hennig came in with an injury suffered at the hands of his son at the STEEL BELT CLASH two weeks ago. He was obviously hampered by it, but still put up a great fight against Bockwinkel. Harley Race was ringside, and did help turn the match in Hennig’s favor, but it wasn’t enough. As if to taunt long-time rival Race, Bockwinkel used the piledriver, Harley’s finishing hold, to pin Larry.
9. NWF Tag-Team Championship: Fabulous Kangaroos b Greg Valentine & Ivan Koloff Lou Albano was looking to take his fifth team to the championship gold. The Kangaroos were looking to improve their perfect 13-0 record. Valentine & Koloff, who had not been pinned in 2008, started out fast and got Heffernan in trouble. If not for some sneaky moves by Red Berry, this one might have been over quickly. The champs managed to regroup, and started working over Albano’s duo with their unique double-team repertoire. They were eventually able to isolate Valentine and pound him down. Koloff saved his partner after a Boomerang, but as he was being put out of the ring, the ‘Roos hit the move again to keep the titles and continue their remarkable winning streak.
Despite the “help” they get from Wild Red Berry, that’s still an impressive streak for the tag champs! Speaking of impressive achievements, The Sheik (only 1 pinfall loss in 50 singles matches) will be in action next week in Akron! Hopefully there will be some fans there. The last Akron show was the infamous 2/15 debacle that saw six unimpressive matches end in disqualification or countout. The fans weren’t happy, and neither were NWF officials! In response, we’ve done a “two for one” ticket promotion to let the Akron faithful know we’re committed to giving them a good show! Here’s the current lineup:
* NWF newcomer Tom Prichard has given the Cornette camp a numbers advantage over the Armstrongs! Bob Armstrong says he doesn’t care how many wrestlers that momma’s boy Jim Cornette throws at him! Bullet Bob goes one-on-one with the “Doctor of Desire” in Akron!
* After Bobby Eaton’s controversial win over Jimmy Valiant tonight, the tag-team partners will get into the act next week! Valiant and Mad Dog Vachon will take on the Midnight Express! Jim Cornette doesn’t like Valiant, and is scared to death of Vachon! We’ll see how things go down when these two top teams battle it out!
* Ted DiBiase & Jim Duggan are having a rough time with CFL Hall of Famer King Kong Mosca! They’ll team up next week to face Mosca and fellow Albano stablemate Ivan Koloff!
* Larry Hennig may be injured, but he’s not backing down from any challenges! Next week he’ll face off against Heenan Family enforcer Ray Stevens!
* Akron will host the first meeting between the Samoan Island Tribe and the Mongols! Sir Oliver Humperdink will lead his new team against his former team! Who will survive?
* Your big main event will see a “Falls Count Anywhere Match” for the North American Title! Red Bastien holds two straight DQ wins over the current champ, but the stipulation seems to play to The Sheik’s strengths! Can long-time NWF veteran Bastien be the man to finally end The Sheik’s Unholy Reign of Terror?
All this and more next week at the Akron Armory!

Nice card Tim, and am looking forward to your "return" to Akron. I actually have Koloff and Mosca teaming against Dibiase and Duggan, too as I am trying to work on something with Mosca.
I can tell from the results Dibiase is the "Loaded Glove" edition, I use this one currently and may bring the Million Dollar Man back down the road. Which version do you prefer?
