Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 77: The Young Bucks vs. The Heartbreak Express: The Heartbreak Express started strong, wearing down Nick with brutal double team attacks. The Young Bucks rebounded from a tremendous beating and isolated Sean Davis, wearing him down before getting the win with More Bang For Your Buck.
It was announced that RoV Officials, due in part to petitions from The Sandman and Drake Younger, will allow the Age of the Fall, Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black, to begin competing in Ring of Victory starting in three weeks.
Chuck Taylor vs. The Belgian Brawler - Waffle vs. Waffle: The Waffle vs. Waffle challenge was a one-sided beating. Taylor attacked before the bell and had the Brawler on the ropes for the entire match. Taylor hit the Awful Waffle for the win.
Chris Hero vs. Eddie Kingston: Kingston fought hard but couldn't keep Hero down. Chris Hero is determined to secure a title shot and so pulled out all the stops, getting the win with the Hero's Welcome.
It was announced that Sabu and Timber would both be out for a time due to injuries.
Brent Albright vs. Yukon Eric: Many thought Yukon Eric would be too much for Albright and he proved them wrong. Although Eric had the size and strength advantage, it didn't stop Albright from suplexing him out of his boots and locking on the Crowbar on two occasions. Albright got the win with the Exploder Suplex. Yukon Eric was favoriing his shoulder after the match.
Necro Butcher took the mic and brought out his mystery partner, Delirious! Butcher said they were tired of being ignored and were going to make an impact with the Age of the Fall tonight!
Drake Younger & The Sandman vs. Necro Butcher & Delirious: The match quickly broke down. Younger fought like a demon, breaking light tubes over Butcher and Delirious's heads. Eventually, his tactics earned a dq loss for his team when the referee caught him strangling Necro Butcher with a strand of barbed wire. The crowd showered the ring with trash after the match. Younger and Sandman challenged Necro Butcher & Delirious to singles matches next week!
Ring of Victory Tag Team champions The Valiants vs. The Backseat Boys: The Valiants looked tired against the Backseat Boys. Acid wore down Johnny Valiant and tagged in Kashmere. Kashmere continued the assault but some desperation tactics allowed Johnny to tag in Jimmy. Jimmy shifted the momentum and worked over Kashmere until Kashmere made a comeback and hit the Cradle Breaker out of nowhere for the win! The Backseat Boys are the new RoV Tag Team champions!
Ring of Victory Grand Champion Adam Pearce vs. Don Leo Jonathan: Pearce attacked DLJ before the bell but the Mormon Giant was unfazed. DLJ took control and proceeded to maul the RoV champ. Pearce kicked out of a pin attempt and DLJ resumed his onslaught but Pearce wouldn't stay down. DLJ climbed the ropes and went for the flying crossbody. Pearce rolled through and covered DLJ for the near fall. DLJ kicked out but Pearce quickly hoisted him up for a brutal jumping piledriver for the three count to retain the title.

Good showing by Pearce and a big win by the Backseat Boyz. Gotta love RoV action.
I have a feeling we may be seeing a team-up of the Taylor and Rupa - using the Waffle connection as a team rallying point.

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 78 preview: - Last week, Don Leo Jonathan failed in his bid to wrest the Ring of Victory Grand Championship away from Adam Pearce. This week, Larry Sweeney will attempt to put DLJ out of the title picture completely when he sends his hired gun, Brent Albright, to take on the Mormon Giant. Will DLJ prove he deserves another title shot or will Brent Albright take him out the way he's taken out Sabu and Yukon Eric?
- It was a shocker when Delirious turned his back on the RoV faithful and chose the side of Necro Butcher and the Age of the Fall. One person it makes little difference to, however, is The Sandman. The Sandman is out for blood and Delirious is his target. Can Delirious defeat the Extreme Icon and can Sherri Martel effectively watch the Sandman's back?
- The rivalry between Drake Younger and Necro Butcher has been around as long as Ring of Victory itself and it heats up even more this week when Younger and Butcher collide in a hardcore match. Can Younger win a measure of revenge agains Butcher or will he be left lying in a pool of blood at the hands of Necro Butcher and the railroad spike?
All of this and more, including Chris Hero, Eddie Kingston, and the Young Bucks, on the next episode of RoV Battlefield!

So do I... now. The Wafflehouse Express? It is ashame that they don't have a Pancake connection, because the International Team of Pancakes (ITOP) would be a good name. I do like the Wafflehouse Express, but maybe spell it Wafflehaus Express - makes it look more international!

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 78: The Naptown Dragons vs. The Young Bucks: The Dragons and the Bucks wrestled a fast and furious match, both teams utilizing quick tags and tandem offense. Unfortunatley, Nick was caught whipping Dustin Lee into the ring post on the outside, resulting in a DQ end to an otherwise great match.
Eddie Kingston vs. Savage T: Savage T was way out of his league. Kingston floored him with the Uranage Suplex at the opening bell and followed it up with a Lariat for the quick win.
Louden Noxious entered the ring and introduced the returning "LAW Superstar" Arik Cannon. Cannon corrected Noxious, saying he now wants to be known as "LAW Main Eventer" Arik Cannon. Cannon ran down the RoV roster, saying he'll make an impact next week.
Chris Hero vs. Brodie Lee: Chris Hero started strong but couldn't keep Brodie Lee down. Lee rebounded and nearly took Hero's head off with a series of Big Boots for the win.
Brent Albright vs. Don Leo Jonathan: Albright tore into the Mormon Giant, attacking the big man's legs with the Sharpshooter and scoring near falls with the Exploder and the Half-Nelson suplex. DLJ, frustrated, tossed Albright to the floor and slammed him into the guardrail, drawing the dq.
It was announced that Erick Stevens and Brent Albright would miss the next four weeks of shows to represent RoV in the L1 Fighting Spirit Cup tournament, along with former RoV stars like Rikidozan, Strangler Lewis, and Frank Gotch.
The Sandman vs. Delirious: The Sandman dominated most of the match but Delirious came back unexpectedly and hit the Chemical Imbalance #2 for the win. After the match, the Sandman cracked Delirious over the head with the Singapore Cane, then held Delirious's legs while Sherri Martel hit the splash from the top. After the Sandman allowed Martel to light his cigarette, the pair left the ring area.
Drake Younger vs. Necro Butcher - Hardcore Match: Younger and Butcher fought all over the ring area, hitting each other with pipes, light tubes, barbed-wire baseball bats and other foreign objects. Both men wore the crimson mask within minutes. Butcher got the win with the Asiatic Spike Submission.

- Chris Hero called last week's loss to newcomer Brodie Lee a fluke. Lee disagreed and challenged Hero to a rematch. Can Chris Hero back up what he says or will Brodie Lee get another victory and the last laugh?
- With the Age of the Fall's in ring debut just over a week away, the Sandman and Drake Younger have their hands full when Drake Younger takes on Delirious and the Sandman and Necro Butcher collide in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Will Younger and the Sandman score much needed wins or will the spectre of the Age of the Fall's debut be the distraction Butcher and Delirious need?
