Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 79: The Naptown Dragons vs. The Young Bucks: The Naptown Dragons and Young Bucks had a fast-paced exciting match. Both teams focused on tandem offense and quick tags, much like their previous encounter. Scotty Vortekz was definitely the mvp of the match, dealing out considerable punishment without absorbing much. The end came after a Cyclone Kick on Matt. The Naptown Dragons have secured a shot at the RoV Tag Team titles.
The RoV cameras showed Larry Hennig sitting in the front row, watching the action.
Chuck Taylor vs. Ultramantis Black: Taylor spent more time focuses on needling the crowd and less in paying attention to Ultramantis Black. Black took control, hitting two Ocean Cyclone suplexes before pinning Taylor with a crossbody from the top for the win.
Adam Pearce and his manager, Larry Sweeney, came out to the ring. Pearce went on a tirade about lack of challengers for his RoV Grand Championship until Larry Sweeney pointed out Larry Hennig sitting in the front row. Sweeney and Pearce left the ring and baited Hennig from the other side of the rail. Eventually, Hennig snapped and pulled Sweeney over the rail and pummeled him. Pearce jumped the rail and brawled with Hennig until security mobbed them.
Mike Quackenbush vs. Eddie Kingston: Quackenbush and Kingston fought an exciting back and forth match. Kingston impressed the crowd with his offense. Neither man could hold the advantage for long. The end came when Quackenbush hit the Quackendriver on the floor for a count out victory.
Chris Hero vs. Brodie Lee: Hero and Lee fought a grueling mathc, each more intent on punishing the other than getting the win. Hero eventually hit the Hero's Welcome for the three count.
As Lee was getting to his feet, Arik Cannon came from the crowd and hit the glimmering warlock on the big man. Hero laughed and extended a hand to his former partner. Cannon shook it, then gave Hero a vicious clothesline followed by the Burning Hammer. Cannon got on the mic and said he was going to take the RoV title as soon as he got a shot.
Drake Younger vs. Delirious: Delirious controlled the match until he made the mistake of taking it to the floor. Younger took over and quickly put Delirious away with Drake's Landing. After the match, Tyler Black came from the crowd and maced Younger before smashing him with a steel chair and hitting the Phoenix Splash. Black was escorted out by RoV officials and Younger managed to leave the ring without assistance.
The Sandman vs. Necro Butcher - Falls Count Anywhere: The Sandman and Necro Butcher battled all over the arena. Once the match left the ring, it never returned. The end came when Necro Butcher hit the Tiger Driver in the aisle for the win. After the match, Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs attacked the Sandman and helped Necro Butcher powerbomb him through a flaming table. Claudio Castagnoli and Mike Quackenbush hit the ring to help the Sandman as the show went off the air.
