Ring of Victory Battlefield
episode 99:
Jimmy Jacobs & Brodie Lee vs. The Heartbreak Express:
Lee & Jacobs wrestled another impressive match. The Heartbreak Express tried isolating Lee but Lee bounced back and nearly kicked Sean Davis's head off with a series of Big Boots. Lee tagged in Jacobs and Jacobs got the victory with the End Time.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Bennie Blades:
Claudio squashed Bennie Blades, winning with the Ricola Bomb.
Ring of Victory Grand Champion Rick Rude came to the ring, got on the mic and told Jim Londos that he hired the One Man Gang to take him out because he was sick of promoters giving Londos all the advantages. Jim Londos walked down the ramp, also with a mic. He said Rude was just making excuses and Londos would be giving him a chance to prove himself soon. Rude laughed and said he wasn't the only one who wanted Londos out of the way. With that, Ted DiBiase jumped the rail and hit Londos with the Black Glove. Rude slid out of the ring to join DiBiase in the assault until Erick Stevens stormed the ring with a steel chair, running off the heels.
Bryan Danielson vs. Chuck Taylor:
Taylor started strong but Danielson made a comeback and tore him apart. Danielson wore Taylor down with the triangle choke and crossface chicken wing before putting him away with the Cattle Mutilation.
It was announced that Jim Londos & Erick Stevens will face Rick Rude & Ted DiBiase in tonight's main event!
Steve Corino & Adam Pearce (with Larry Sweeney) vs. The Samoan Island Tribe:
Coriono & Pearace functioned well as a team. Pearce looked better than he has in a long time. Pearce scored the win for his team with a Jumping Piledriver on Alofa.
Brent Albright vs. Al Snow:
Albright and Snow tore the house down with their match. Albright controled most of the match, frustrating Snow with his strength advantage. Snow bounced back and hit a moonsault out of nowhere for the win.
Chris Hero vs. Ricky Landell:
Chris Hero overcame a one sided match, including both of Landell's finishers, to win with the Cravate Buster.
After the match, Larry Sweeney came to ringside, laughing. Hero, out of breath, got on the mic and asked what was so funny. Sweeney said that he never planned on Landell OR Hero being part of Sweet and Sour International. With that, Hero was attacked from behind by Tiger Mask! Tiger Mask is the crown jewel of Sweet and Sour International!
Jim Londos & Erick Stevens vs. Rick Rude & Ted DiBiase:
Rude & DiBiase pummelled Stevens in the opening minues. It looked as if Londos wouldn't get his hands on Rude. Stevens made a comeback and the hot tag. Londos attacked Rude with unbelievable aggression. Londos took Rude to the mat and locked on the Boston Crab but Rude made it to the ropes. The match spilled out on the floor and Rude got disqualfied for hitting Londos with a chair.
After the match, King Kong Buny joined the fray, only to have Bryan Danielson hit the ring to even the odds. The show went off the air with the six men brawling around the ring.
