Ring of Victory Battlefield
episode 101:
The Backseat Boys vs. Steve Corino & Adam Pearce:
The Backseat Boys's slump continued this week. Corino got the win out of nowhere with the Old School Expulsion to open the show.
Tyler Black vs. Eddie Kingston:
Kingston battered Black with strikes early on, scoring a near fall with the Backfist to the Future. Black bounced back and wore down Kingston with the Paroxym before getting the win with the Phoenix Splash.
Ricky Landell vs. Tiger Mask:
Tiger Mask destroyed Ricky Landell. Landell mounted almost no offense. Mask got the win with the Tiger Suplex.
Thunder & Lightning vs. Al Snow & Crossbones:
Crossbones & Snow dominated Quackenbush early on. Quack made the hot tag to Liger and the momentum shifted. Liger attacked the much bigger Crossbones with great ferocity, knocking him senseless with two koppo kicks. Liger scored the win with the Liger Dive.
After the match, Ultramantis berated Al Snow for not performing up to his expectations. Quackenbush interrupted Ultramantis's diatribe and said their fued had to end. He challenged the Order to a six man tag match next week. If Quackenbush, Liger, and Albright win, Al Snow and Head go free. If not, Quackenbush will leave RoV! Ultramantis quickly agreed.
Bryan Danielson vs. King Kong Bundy:
Bundy pounded Danielson early on, using his size and strength to his advantage. Danielson rebounded and scored near falls with the Yakuza Kick and a small package. Bundy tried to get to his feet but Danielson clamped on the Cattle Mutilation for the submission victory.
After the match, Danielson got on the mic and told Rick Rude he was coming for him next week.
Jim Londos vs. Ted DiBiase:
DiBiase hit Londos with the loaded glove before the bell. Londos never recovered. DiBiase hit Londos with the loaded glove five more times before the referee stopped the match and awarded it to DiBiase. Londos was bleeding profusely from the mouth and was no longer able to defend himself. DiBiase left the ring laughing as the crowd showered him with trash.
Rick Rude vs. Erick Stevens - Ring of Victory Grand Championship:
Stevens attacked Rude at the opening bell, hitting him with three overhead release suplexes. Rude looked to be in big trouble but his strength advantage turned the tide. Rude worked Steven's neck, hitting two spinning neckbreakers before putting him away with the Rude Awakening to retain the title, his eighth successful defense, tying the reigns of Strangler Lewis and the Masked Superstar.
