Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 116: The Young Bucks vs. The Heartbreak Express: The Young Bucks didn't fare so well against the larger Heartbreak Express. Matt was in trouble for most of the match. Phil hit Matt with a foreign object in full view of the referee, drawing the DQ. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Timber: Claudio Castagnoli and Timber fought a hard-hitting match. Timber got near falls with the moonsault and Log Splitter but Castagnoli bounced back. Claudio wore down Timber with his arsenal of European Uppercuts before getting the win with the Ricola Bomb. Mil Mascaras vs. Crossbones: Crossbones gave Mascaras some tense moments early on and surprised the crowd with his toughness but Mil got the win after two crossbody attacks, followed by a Flying Bodypress. After the match, Mil Mascaras was leaving ringside when Ultramantis Black challenged him to a match on Delirious's behalf! Dustin Lee vs. Masked Superstar: Dustin Lee avoided the Masked Superstar's power game and attacked the masked man, scoring a near fall with the swinging ddt before hitting the Hard Drive for the win! Lee & Jacobs vs. Corino & Pearce - Ring of Victory Tag Team title match: Jacobs and Corino started the match and Corino wore down Jacobs with the Old School Expulsion and hitting him with ringside objects. Corino covered Jacobs but Lee made the save. Corino tagged in Pearce. Pearce piledrover Jacobs for a near fall but Lee again made the save. Jacobs managed the hot tag to Lee and Lee cleaned house, nearly kicking the heads off of Corino and Pearce. Lee covered Pearce after a running power bomb but Corino attacked him with a chair, breaking the pin and drawing the DQ. Rick Rude vs. Curt Hennig - Best of Seven Series finale!: The tension was heavy in the air as the opening bell rang. Rude and Hennig went at it full bore from the start. Rude scored the first near fall of the match with a sledgehammer and the second with a suplex. Hennig took control after a missed turnbuckle charge and scored a near fall with the rollling neck snap. Rude got to his feet and Hennig hit the HennigPlex! 1 2 3! Hennig wins the series after a 3-0 deficit! After the match, Hennig & Rude shook hands and then hugged. Rude said he'd miss the fat, out of shape Ring of Victory fans before he left the ring area. Hennig took the mic and said he'd see Bryan Danielson in two weeks for the Ring of Victory Grand Championship! next week: - Dustin Lee vs. King Kong Bundy

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 117: The Heartbreak Express vs. The Young Bucks: The Heartbreak Express and the Young Bucks had the crowd on their feet for most of the match. Once again, the Bucks struggled with the much larger team. The Heartbreak Express got the win after a Heartbreaker on Matt. Tyler Black vs. Crossbones: Tyler Black took the fight to Crossbones and hit a monster Phoenix Splash for the win. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Chuck Taylor: Claudio destroyed Chuck Taylor in near record time with the Ricola Bomb. Dustin Lee vs. King Kong Bundy: Lee fought hard but was no match for the sheer size of King Kong Bundy. Lee kicked out after one Avalanche but was pinned after the second. Ring of Victory announced that the first show broadcast from Japan will be in three weeks and the main event will feature Bryan Danielson & the returning Brent Albright taking on Japanese legends Antonio Inoki & Rikidozan! Mil Mascaras vs. Delirious: Delirious looked great against Mascaras at the outset, scoring near falls on the legend. Mascaras bounded back and pinned Delirious with the Flying Bodypress for the win. Jimmy Jacobs & Brodie Lee vs. Steve Corino & Adam Pearce - RIng of Victory Tag Team title match, Falls Count Anywhere: This match raged all over the arena. Lee & Jacobs seemed out of their element at first but rallied and took control. Lee continued his head-kicking ways and bloodied both Pearce and Corino. The end came when Jacobs wrapped barbed wire around Pearce's neck and locked on the End Time for the win. Lee and Jacobs have surpassed the Backseat Boys at eight defenses with only the Kings of Wrestling and the James Gang with more. next week: - Mil Mascaras vs. Tyler Black

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 118: Mike Quackenbush & Eddie Kingston vs. The Heartbreak Express: The teacher and student team of Quackenbush & Kingston faired well in their debut, winning after Kingston hit a Yakuza kick on Sean Davis. Erick Stevens vs. Timber: Stevens had trouble with Timber's superior power early on, nearly being pinned after a Log Splitter. Stevens hung in their and bounced back, scoring near falls with two overhead release suplexes before getting the win with the Doctor Bomb. Arik Cannon vs. Chris Hero: Chris Hero dominated his former teammate, winning with the Hero's Welcome in short order. Mil Mascaras vs. Tyler Black: Mascaras controlled the first half of the match and hit both of his finishers on Black for near falls. Black rallied and hit the Phoenix Splash for a near fall. Black worked Mascaras over with the Enzuigiri and the turnbuckle powerbomb before hitting a second Phoenix Splash for the win. Black beats Mascaras! Dustin Lee & Drake Younger vs. Masked Superstar & King Kong Bundy: Lee & Younger fought dirty against their much bigger and more experienced foes. Bundy brutallized Lee with two avalanches and a power drop early on. Younger used his light tubes to bloody both Superstar and Bundy. Lee, with an assist from Younger, hit the Hard Drive on Bundy to the thunderous applause of the crowd. It looked as if Lee and Younger would be victorious but Superstar turned the tide of the match and hit the spinning neckbreaker on Drake for the win. Bryan Danielson vs. Curt Hennig - Ring of Victory Grand Championship: Danielson & Hennig tore the house down with their display of technical ability. While Hennig had the size, strength, and speed advantage, Danielson was the agressor. Hennig scored near falls with the Axe and the rolling neck snap. Danielson bounced back after a brawl on the outside and busted Hennig open with MMA strikes and scored a near fall with the small package. Hennig rolled out of the ring and Danielson followed, only to be hit with a chair in full view of the referee, drawing the DQ to the boos of the crowd. After the match, Hennig and Danielson continued brawling around the ring area. Security arrived as the show went off the air. next week: - Erick Stevens vs. Tyler Black

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 119: Mike Quackenbush & Eddie Kingston vs. The Young Bucks: Quackenbush & Kingston continued their winning ways. Kingston hit the Urange Suplex early on for the quick win. Necro Butcher vs. Chuck Taylor: Taylor was a bloody mess within minutes but Butcher couldn't finish him off. Taylor made a comeback and hit the Awful Waffle for the win. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Crossbones: Castagonli and Crossbones fought a competitive, power based match. As usual, Castagnoli wore his opponent down with his European uppercut variations before hitting the Ricola Bomb for the win. Mil Mascaras vs. Chris Hero: Hero attacked Mascaras before the bell and hit the Hero's Welcome for a quick win. Erick Stevens vs. Tyler Black: Stevens mauled Tyler Black, taking him down at the opening bell and hitting three brutal Doctor Bombs for the win. Lee & Jacobs vs. Superstar & Bundy - RoV Tag Team titles: It looked as if the tag team champions's days were coming to an end until Bundy busted Jimmy Jacobs open on the floor. Jacobs returned to the ring with a vengeance, hitting Bundy with the railroad spike and locking on the End Time for the win. Bryan Danielson vs. Curt Hennig - Ring of Victory Grand Championship!: Hennig controlled the first few minutes of the match, hitting the rolling neck snap for a near fall and going for the HennigPlex. Danielson kicked out of the HennigPlex and took control. He busted Hennig open with the MMA strikes and suplexed him all over the ring. Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation but Hennig got to the ropes. Three times, Danielson dragged Hennig away from the ropes and locked on the Cattle Mutilation but Hennig managed to escape each time, his shoulders paying the price. Danielson went to the top rope and hit the crossbody but Hennig rolled through for a near fal, then hit the HennigPlex! 1 2 3! Curt Hennig is the new Ring of Victory Grand Champion! next week from Japan: - Dustin Lee vs. Tiger Mask

I really liked the two matches of Danielson and Hennig, great ending with Hennig winning the RoV Belt and the RoV is on FIRE!

Hennig and Danielson had some good matches. I'm hoping Hennig holds on to the belt long enough to do Hennig-Danielson 3 in a few weeks, possibly in an iron man match.

Well, Hennig mounts the nearly impossible comeback in the best of seven and then wins the championship. It may not be "perfect", but it does make for a heckuva a story the way it's all gone down.
That lineup for the Japan show looks pretty good. I'll be waiting for that one.

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 120: Quackenbush & Kingston vs. Corino & Pearce: Quack and Corino started off and neither man could hold the advantage. Corino hit Quack with the ring bell, busting him open, and tagged in Pearce. Pearce and Quack brawled until Quack made the hot tag to Kingston. Kingston and Pearce quickly spilled out of the ring. Pearce suplexed Kingston on a section of guardrail, drawing the disqualification. Savage T came out to the ring with his arm in a sling and said he wouldn't be able to wrestle tonight but had a replacement, bringing out Dr. Cube! Tyler Black vs. Dr. Cube: Black laughed at Dr. Cube's appearance but wasn't laughing long. Cube hit the scalpel kick, knocking Black down, then the Iconoclism for a near fall. Dazed, Black rolled out of the ring. Dr. Cube followed and hit a brutal power bomb on the concrete. Black was unable to return to the ring and got counted out. Necro Butcher vs. The Sheik: Necro Butcher and the Sheik attacked each other with unnerving savagery, each drawing blood within moments. Butcher hit the Asiatic Spike twice but the Sheik seemed unphased. He repeatedly grinded a spike into Butcher's forehead, rendering him a bloody mess. Butcher came back and hit the death valley driver, sending the Sheik rolling out of the ring. The Sheik and Butcher brawled on the floor for ten minutes, pausing only to repeatedly break the count. Necro Butcher rolled the Sheik back into the ring and hit the Tiger Driver for a near fall. The Sheik bounced back and threw a fireball into Necro Butcher's face, singing the referee in the process. The referee disqualified the Sheik and awarded the bout to Necro Butcher. Dustin Lee vs. Tiger Mask: Lee attacked Tiger Mask before the bell and was quickly knocked down and given a Tiger Suplex for his troubles. Lee kicked out but was clearly unnerved by the speed of Tiger Mask. Tiger Mask hit the piledriver on Lee before landing another Tiger Suplex for the easy win. Brodie Lee vs. Giant Baba: Lee's offense was no match for the size and strength of Giant Baba. Baba chopped Lee senseless, then hit the piledriver for the win. Bryan Danielson & Brent Albright vs. Antonio Inoki & Rikidozan: Albright and Inoki started the match. Albright hit the Exploder but Inoki shook it off and hit the Enzuigiri for a near fall, then locked Albright in the Octopus hold. Albright got to the ropes and tagged in Danielson. Danielson and Inoki struck each other senseless, neither man going down. Inoki tagged in Rikidozan and the barrage of vicious strikes continued. Finally, Rikidozan hit the Thunderous Chops for a near fall, followed by two Hiplocks and a cover. Albright made the save. Rikidozan pummeled Danielson but Danielson came back and took Rikidozan down. Danielson locked on the cattle mutilation but Inoki made the save. Danielson locked on the cattle mutilation a second time but Inoki again made the save, this time blasting Danielson with the Enzuigiri. Rikidozan covered Danielson but Albright made the save, hitting a diving headbutt and rolling Danielson on top. Rikidozan managed to kick out and make the hot tag to Inoki. Danielson took a barrage of Inoki chops but made the hot tag to Albright. Inoki charged in but Albright was ready. He hit the half nelson suplex, then locked on the Crowbar in the center of the ring! Danielson knocked Rikidozan off the apron with a Yakuza kick and Inoki had no choice but to tap out! next week: - Erick Stevens vs. Chris Hero - #1 contenders match

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 121: Samoan Island Tribe vs. The Young Bucks: The Young Bucks isolated Alofa and wore him down with quick tags. The Bucks got the win after hitting More Bang For Your Buck three tims on Alofa. Brent Albright vs. Savage T: Albright made T tap out in near record time with the Crowbar. Tyler Black vs. Dr. Cube: Black gave Dr. Cube a one-sided beating and got the easy win with the Phoenix Splash. Erick Stevens vs. Chris Hero - #1 contenders match: Stevens mauled Hero, suplexing him all over the ring and scoring a near fall with a Doctor Bomb. Hero kicked out but fell prey to the Sarasota Screwdriver. Stevens will meet the winner of tonight's main event for the RoV Grand Championship next week! Mike Quackenbush & Eddie Kingston vs. Steve Corino & Adam Pearce: Quack and Kingston isolated Adam Pearce and wore him down with their finishers. Kingston knocked Corino off the apron and Quackenbush hit the Quackendriver II on Pearce for the win. Curt Hennig vs. Claudio Castagnoli - Ring of Victory Grand Championship: Castagnoli kept Hennig on his toes with his superior strength. Castagnoli hit the Ricola bomb early on but Hennig kicked out. Hennig hit the HennigPlex for a near fall but Castagnoli renewed his attack shortly after. Castagnoli nearly knocked Hennig out with one of his European Uppercut variations and then went to the top for a crossbody. Hennig rolled through the crossbody for a near fall, then his a second HennigPlex for the win. next week: - Brent Albright vs. Necro Butcher
