Well there's not much to be said past all the strong opinions and comments expressed in the BIG NEWS! thread.

So, since COTGonline is an ever evolving project designed to enhance the Champions of the Galaxy game playing experience and is driven by the opinions of loyal Promoters, we've reinstated the Rankings system.

As we're working to not only design things for a NEW audience, we're working to keep the CORE audience satisfied. Obviously, there are many people who find the Rankings System simply too valuable to remove.

We'll just have to work harder to tighten the system and streamline things without yanking out such an obviously useful and popular feature...especially on such short notice.

My apologies for creating what will forever be remembered as the "24-hour Uproar!"

Expect the Rankings system back in effect the next time you log-in to COTGonline...later TODAY will be the unveiling of the awesome new Battle Royal Simulator.

Thank you Osk and BDS. This shows how great the COTG staff is and how customer service should be in every business! I wish I knew more about computers so I could help you streamline it and make it easier for the mainstream, unfortunately I'm a dolt when it comes to internet computer skills. I would like to see the Rankings evolve into something everyone is satisfied with and am always here if you need any opinions from someone who uses the rankings everytime he plays.

I guess I owe you some drinks at GenCon for this one!

Honestly, it's not the difficulty of the streamlining of the system that's the huge problem - it's the time. There's just only so much dev time for COTGonline to go around, and the size and complexity of the rankings system make everything take longer than it would without them. In a situation where dev time is limited, that's a bad thing.

I, for one, did not really care whether or not the rankings system was in place but seeing as how so many of the promoters found them to be useful and the way the COTGOnline staff listened to their loyal customers and responded promptly, that tells me that I made the right investment when I subscribed to COTGOnline. We can all see that we have the right people working on this project. People who will listen to what the customers want.

I pretty much agree with vrobx - I never really used the rankings, but it seems like many people did and I'm glad that things were decided upon without alienating the longtime players.

Now, can we get the new charts in the Game Table or what?
