I agree they should have save Cena-Lesnar. why have him come back and lose immediately? that's no way of building anything. The classic thing to do is what they would have done in the hogan era. Have Lesnar come in, wipe out some top Heels (which might be difficult at the moment with most of them turned face like Orton and Sheamus) and then down the line you have Lesnar backstab Cena.

As discussed before, they should not have rushed Cena vs. Lesnar, instead saving it for SS. They may have even draw higher numbers had they done that, and left HHH off the show entirely. Cena vs. Lesnar is a much bigger main event than HHH vs. Lesnar, but, gotta make HHH happy so it is what it is. Okay, so everyone knows I'm a big fan of Triple H, as I wear his t-shirt along with my yankees hat at galaticon every year. ;D With that being said, I will admit, Cena vs Lesnar II likely would have sold better than Triple H vs. Lesnar. This is about the only argument I can buy about Triple H not being in the main event. At the end of the day, having Triple H vs Lesnar at Summer Slam made better sense, and here's why: 1) If Cena vs Lesnar II takes place, we already know who wins. It's too predictable. With Triple H vs Lesnar, while we think Brock wouldn't come back just to lose twice in a row, we also wouldn't hold it past Triple H to try and bury Lesnar. Triple H vs Lesnar at least gives some suspense as to the outcome of the match, as opposed to we know Lesnar won't job twice to Cena. 2) When Triple H vs. Lesnar II takes place, it will likely be at the next major PPV. What if (and this could be a big if) Triple H jobs to Lesnar again? Now Lesnar can brag that he beat Triple H twice in a row! IIRC, this hasn't been done since 2005, and it was with Batista, one of his buddies. It is well known that Brock is not one of Triple H's buddies. Next PPV, Brock can redeem his loss to Cena. This particular scenario could set some real suspense if Brock Lesnar vs Taker were to take place at WM. While guys like HBK and Triple H had great performances against Taker at WM, I knew who was winning. The last time I really wondered who could beat the streak was WM21 against Randy Orton. He was pushed to a point where I really thought if anyone could beat the streak, it was him. Since then, it's been pretty obvious no one would beat the streak. If Lesnar were to beat Triple H twice, and then beat Cena, I believe it could bring back the suspense of "Can he beat the streak?" that I have missed since WM 21. JMO.

No, not Cena/Lesnar II, just Cena vs. Lesnar the first time. Meaning, shouldn't have rushed it on a B show for a crappy HHH match. Instead, they should have saved Cena vs. Lesnar for SS. Had they done that, HHH wouldn't have even needed to be on the show at all.

it would be interesting if Lesnar beat HHH twice..but
Could have really been interesting if Lesnar wiped everyone out....Then took on Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Ya, I don't think anyone credits any of that gate to HHH. It's Summerslam (which sells with or without HHH in the main event) and it's Brock Lesnar (who earns the crossover fans). That could have been Brock vs. a few different guys and I bet it would have drawn the same numbers. Exactly. Cornette nailed the HHH agenda in a shoot interview when he stated, "HHH doesn't draw money. He's the guy who works with the guy who is drawing money."
