As I feared the 3 hour Raws have been feeling like 3 hour Raws the past couple weeks. Luckily I always watch on my DVR and can fast forward the many recaps. There is a lot that drags on...but it does give extra time for some things. Luckily it gives more time to Daniel Bryan.
I know I am not alone in thinking that Bryan is the highlight of Raw every week, but he has just been classic the past 2 weeks with the Anger management. The skits have been good, the interplay with Kane has been great, and his interaction with the crowds have been fantastic. The guy just has skill with facial expressions and working the crowd...and he is damn good at working in the ring too. Thank goodness he was given a chance to shine.
As for the rest of the show...thought it was interesting that the Miz was given the spot of announcer this week. He did ok, and was able to put over the talent on many instances, but his timing was off and there was a lot of dead air. He can certainly continue to work on his announcing skills and maybe someday be a good color guy.
I kind of figured that they would make Punk go heel on the Chicago crowd, and really the only way to do that was to refuse to wrestle. The Paul Heyman association makes the story a little more interesting. Punk has always said he is a Paul Heyman guy.

Should have left it alone after the hug. The fans didn't/don't want to see them fight.
Overall, the show was very good imo. CM Punk's character is finally cool again. Cena vs. ADR was PPV quality with a good pay off ending. Plenty of good wrestling and seeing Claudio live on RAW was a huge breath of fresh air.
Good show minus everything Cole said and did. Arguing with Miz and acting like a face really insults fans by ignoring their recent history as best buddies. Made no sense whatsoever to have Cole act like that. Then later he said Cena was defending vs. Punk at NOC. This guy might need to be let go sooner than later. He's really run his course and he's not improving. Gotta be some ex wrestler who can take his spot and do so much better.

Agree 100%. Raw has been feeling loooooong.
Daniel Bryan is definitely the highlight each week. I wasn't fond of Kane in the Anger Management segments though. He kind of poopooed his entire origin story I thought. Outside of the wrestling universe his story is completely ridiculous but inside the wrestling universe he needs to keep acting like it is 100% legit or else everything looks stupid.

yeah the Cole-Miz stuff made no sense. Cole has been in love with Miz , and now suddenly he's talking like a face again. WWElogic Bryan is the highlight, and he's drawing the most reaction from the crowd. it was funny when he told Kane they had to hug again he started to crack a smile. glad to see chicago behind Punk, but of course wwe tried to sabotage that too. Thankfully Cena didn't show up till the end, which made it convenient to change channels.

Unlike the "good old days" when raw storylines were somewhat sensicle and drawn out appropriately, the storylines today not olny make no sense but are short snippets that have no connection to possible reality and don't connect to each other. Its like … let's throw this out there but wait, this is going no where so let's put this out there now even though it don't flow with what just happened. Poor story-telling now and it gets progressively worse each week. I find my self turning the channel well before the second hour ends and following up by reading about what I missed the next day. I never regret missing it either. ;D

I'm thinking PUNK may now call out MIZ.....and we may see a face turn before his movie hits (would be a good feud too).......Did anyone else detect some HEEL in Layla during the Miz Exchange?
BTW: Layla's music....HOW IS THAT PG?

This was the 1st three hour RAW I thought was worth the 3 hours. There was lots more wrestling and far fewer recaps and social media nonsense , which was awesome.
Punk was great, and having Punk and Heyman together could be fantastic.. hopefully it'll lead to a stable of some sort.
The Miz-Cole thing was bizarre, but I really want to see Miz as a face, so whatever... he had his moments on commentary... the stuff with Layla was really good, IMO.
I wouldn't mind a Miz-Punk feud.. has he done the movie filming yet? If not, PUnk could 'injure' him for more heel-y-ness before moving on to whatever WM program they go with.
Bryan-Kane as a tag team would go a real long way to make tag teams viable again, so it won't happen. The Anger Management stuff rocks, though.
Only thing I didn't like was the AJ-Vickie angle. AJ's actually be really good as GM, but it seems they're not going to stick with it.
