Don't just vote but also leave a post on how you voted please. Stand up and be counted.
I roll but then again I'm old school and have played since December 1986. IMO there's only ONE real way to enjoy the C.O.T.G. Universe and that's those dizzy dice.
Don't get me wrong on-line has a place and is visually spectacular. Heck it helped user in color cards which I've dreamed about since 1986 (I can put away my colored pencils)..... but when it comes to pure enjoyment, sitting down at a table and throwing dice is the way to go.
Some of my fondness memories are with Matthew and friends playing this game. People really get into it and become the characters.

I just like having the cards in my hands. I spend a lot of time looking at them, studying them, laying them all out etc...for me COTG is a completely different adventure than anything else in my life because it's like nothing else I do in my life. I do lots of stuff on my computer, like work. But I do nothing else in life that requires me to sit down with some dice, a stack of art and stats and let my imagination go.
For me, the whole set up is just as important as the time spent playing...it's like a real relaxation time for me. I don't consider the "computer" to be a tool of relaxation as much as I view it as a tool of necessity in modern culture. Even if I find something worthwhile reading online I will always print it out. I try to spend as little time as possible staring into my computer screen, iphone screen etc...even when I'm avoiding all that stuff I find myself spending hours in front of another screen - my TV - either watching something, or playing Madden. If you are someone who gets involved in "social media" you are probably spending even more hours "online". I am able to devote X amount time typing up my results online, and even that can become a chore after a long work week.
COTG is an "escape" from the norm for me. Is a paper dice and cards game "abnormal" in 2012 while everyone is zoned out in soft glow of their computer/TV screens? You bet your ass it is. But that's me. I can totally see how Online is gift for others.

I sometimes use online especially when I'm at work and want to play a bit, but I do prefer dice still.

I am old school the dice and cards make the game more alive...The computer don't seem real enough ... Even playing video sports game I write down results...As we all need to slowdown and see the sunrise...Can't do that with your head stuck on a screen...I also get ideas for story plots as the game is played out on the dice

I have been playing since October of '86 and have never played on line or ever plan on it. Physically having the cards and dice in hand is what this game is all about. I'm on the computer all day at work. Then, when I come home I pay my bills, do my banking and every other real world necessity on-line. Why in the world would I want my one true escape from life to take place on a computer, where almost every other facet of my life occurs. For those of us who played as kids and now play as adults, this game is truly a reminder of our simpler and less stressful childhood. I have many fond memories about playing this game through the years. The thought of continuing the GWF saga on a computer screen would not only alter this passion of mine, but diminish and possibly tarnish it as well.

I play online because .... I have a very bad tendency of losing things like dice and cards. The clincher for me was when a cat urinated on seven sets of cards several years ago.
