Dice. I feel like I don't get as "involved" playing online.

I just like having the cards in my hands. I spend a lot of time looking at them, studying them, laying them all out etc...for me COTG is a completely different adventure than anything else in my life because it's like nothing else I do in my life. I do lots of stuff on my computer, like work. But I do nothing else in life that requires me to sit down with some dice, a stack of art and stats and let my imagination go. For me, the whole set up is just as important as the time spent playing...it's like a real relaxation time for me. I don't consider the "computer" to be a tool of relaxation as much as I view it as a tool of necessity in modern culture. Even if I find something worthwhile reading online I will always print it out. I try to spend as little time as possible staring into my computer screen, iphone screen etc...even when I'm avoiding all that stuff I find myself spending hours in front of another screen - my TV - either watching something, or playing Madden. If you are someone who gets involved in "social media" you are probably spending even more hours "online". I am able to devote X amount time typing up my results online, and even that can become a chore after a long work week. COTG is an "escape" from the norm for me. Is a paper dice and cards game "abnormal" in 2012 while everyone is zoned out in soft glow of their computer/TV screens? You bet your ass it is. But that's me. I can totally see how Online is gift for others. Pretty much everything said here, I agree with. In a day and age of spreadsheets, webinars, ebooks, and email, it is relaxing to be in physical control of something you cherish.

Wow I'm really in the minority here. I play online and online only. For me it's a lot easier to play online. Easier to keep track of stats without writing everything down. Easier to know where your at because it shows you your last roll. I used to always lose my place when I played with the dice with so many distractions. You don't have to set up a table, just turn on your PC and get going. You can play at work if you have a PC like I do. You don't have to wait for your order to arrive in the mail, instant download. I know a lot of ppl won't let go of the way they have been playing for years but I think most new users will probably play online more. JMO

dice only.
I might get back into GWF and online if the early classics ever get released online so I can start from the begining.

I like to have both cards and online games. Just this year I have come to enjoy the more online, cause just the easy have running everything from a browser and spreadsheet. Sine I dont have anyone to play the game with here this is perfect for one man feuds.

Online. I don't work in front of a PC all day and enjoy rolling online. I also buy the cards to use at cons and just to have. I used to roll the physical and tried a while back, but it seemed slower to me. Nothing wrong with cards/dice, but I prefer online now. Also with 2 small children who like to grab and color on things, a house that we are outgrowing, I don't have a lot of room to call my own to play. To each their own though.

I only play via dice.
I personally just really prefer rolling dice to clicking a mouse.
Although nowadays I mostly only gamble at the sports book, I think it is sort of similar to how I used to play blackjack as I preferred to play blackjack at the table with the cards in my hands instead of playing video blackjack on the machines at the bar.
Plus, for me, I play alot of feds and I also follow alot of feds. Most of the feds I follow are through my computer (CHIKARA streaming, ROH TV episodes, CZW's streaming subscription service, all of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood's episodes, etc) and I often multitask by playing my feds on my computer table in front of my computer monitor while watching another fed on my computer monitor and I would not be able to do both of those things together if I was playing online as I only have one monitor.

Online at it's launch got me back into the game, but soon after I returned to the Dice and only the Dice. I've been playing the game since 1988 and setting up everything even today is a Fun Adventure in watching each match unfold with the Human touch in rolling them dice and so it's DICE for me...
