With all the advances in online digital media in recent years, like Indy events live on iPPV, youtube and social media making Indy wrestling more available to audiences outside of their local markets, could we possibly see the growth in wrestling coming from outside of the WWE in the coming years? Or are people inherently lazy and dismissive of what is not on cable TV?

Or are people inherently lazy and dismissive of what is not on cable TV? Ding ding ding, we have a winner. People don't want to pay to follow other promotions, they'd rather stick with what they know than pay to see something they'd like. I know several people who don't want to watch ROH because "I don't know any of the guys". Well shit, you don't know who anyone is when you start watching wrestling in the first place.

I have not watched Wrestling in over 3 years, WHY??? I did not like what i was seeing!! WWE and TNA were Crap in my book and i just quit watching.
Now 3 years later i started to tune in on the internet to some indy stuff like Chikara and ROH, WHY?? I like what i saw.
Its not as "easy" to try to keep up with these feds but i would rather take the time and money to do so because i like the product.
If more people would stop being sheep and watch WWE or TNT then complain about, and put some time into these indy feds they would or could grow in to something that may give the "big boys" a run for their money.....
In the past few months i got lucky enough to have ROH programing show up on a somewhat local TV. Granted its at 1:30am on Monday Morning/Sunday Night, but i have been watching when i can and catching the ones i miss on the internet.
I can completely understand why wrestlers want to work for the big guys, and i dont blame them one bit!
I cant think of many people that would pass up getting to the top of their said profession with a huge bump in pay!!
Ok i am done with my ramblings now........ Back to the show...
