Anyone else watch it? Thoughts? The heavyweight title fight was great. I respect both guys, so I didn't have a favorite going in. The pace Cain set was insane, and mixed with his relentless takedown attempts, the right cross he landed toward the end of the first changed the complexion of the fight. I give props to JDS for showing tremendous heart and refusing to quit, but he clearly lost every round, with arguably 1 & 2 being 10-8.

Overall I was disappointed with the event. The co-main event was a barn burner though. Joe Lauzon was a mess.
Varner looked like a beast as well. I was shocked. Looking forward to seeing more of this "new" Jamie Varner.
I am a pretty big JDS fan so I was obviously a little disappointed in that but he rightfully got dominated. I don't mean to take anything away from Cain since he was the clear winner but I don't know how he didn't stop going for takedowns and just smash JDS out. After he clearly had JDS out of the fight he just kept wrestling and when asked in the interviews afterward he just said that it was his gameplan. At some point you have to change your gameplan. I don't know, it just seemed to me that small in close shots weren't the answer to finishing this fight. But again, he CLEARLY won that fight. You would get no argument from me if the judges gave it to him 50-43 like you said LWPD. I really question how long Cain will hold that title but a re-rematch will be a must sometime down the line whether it is for a title or not.
