With my friends Ryan and Mary, tonight (fireworks night)I went to see the Las Vegas 51s play Fresno here in Las Vegas.
The 51s won 2-0 as Ike Davis went 3 for 4 including a solo home run that I knew was gone as soon as the ball hit the bat. Ike Davis, who was recently named the PCL Player of the Week, is really playing well for Las Vegas. I wonder if he might get recalled by the Mets at some point soon?

I'd think Ike Davis would be called back up if he keeps playing well... yes indeed, it turns out Ike Davis is getting recalled tomorrow but with Josh Satin (who also played for the Las Vegas 51s earlier this year) playing so well, I wonder if Ike Davis will be a reserve at least for now? |
