That Nashville show was so much fun. I love a Battle Royal where the winner gets a title shot the same night. King Kong Bundy with a big win there but then he lost to Exotic Adrian Street in the Southern title match. Congrats to Adrian on moving into third place on the title defense list. I agree with Troy on seeing Eddie Gilbert on the face side. He is off to a good start and hopefully with bigger things to come.

That tag team battle between the Armstrongs and Koloff & Saito must have been insane to roll out.
Excellent read!

The Armstrong match was really fun to read, a great card top to bottom! Vachon vs. Sullivan will be a fun one I think!

Thanks to Troy, Crue Fan, Booker Bill, and Victory Roll for the comments!
Highlights of the last two episodes of USWA Championship Wrestling:
July 29 • Commissioner Bob Armstrong announced that “Exotic” Adrian Street’s next challenger for the USWA Southern Heavyweight championship will be someone the British glam rocker knows well—“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson! Danielson will return from his back injury that occurred by Street, Chris Candido, and Jim Cornette’s former bodyguard Dan “The Beast” Severn after Danielson’s No-Disqualification Match in April in Nashville. These two will battle for the Southern title in the main event on August 21 at the Sailors & Soldiers Memorial Coliseum in Evansville. Street and Jim Cornette, flanked by Mr. Hughes, were interviewed in the studio. Lance Russell congratulated Street on retaining against King Kong Bundy last week in Nashville and continuing his reign. Street said that his cardio is better than Bundy’s and he defeated “King Kong Blubber” easily! He said that he defeated Danielson once before and doesn’t understand how Commissioner Armstrong could give him another title shot. Lance reminded Street that when they wrestled for the title in April in Jonesboro, this was one week after the attack on “Dragon” and he was not at 100%. Cornette interrupted and said that Danielson at any level is never the caliber of wrestler that the “Exotic One” is. He said that he will defeat Danielson once again and do whatever he can to put him out of wrestling permanently! Cornette also complimented Bundy and Jimmy Hart on a good effort last week and told “The Mouth of The South” that there were no hard feelings! • Another match was added for the USWA-BTW joint card in Findlay on August 14, that features two current BTW stars that are very familiar to USWA fans. The first Southern Heavyweight champion and a former USWA World Tag Team champion Bobo Brazil will do battle with the genocidal, suicidal, homicidal, death-defying Sabu! Sabu, the nephew of BTW U.S. Heavyweight champion the Sheik, is still aligned with his uncle and manager Abdullah Farouk. He teams up with the high-flying Rob Van Dam, but still competes in singles competition. USWA fans will love seeing this one-on-one match-up form a feud that was hot in 2007 and ’08!
August 5 • More matches were made for the August 21 card in Evansville! o Tommy and Eddie Gilbert will get the match they had originally requested at Independence Day Bash, when they face World Heavyweight champion “The Gamemaster” Kevin Sullivan and The Dark Patriot! The Gilberts gave Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito quite the challenge at Beech Bend Raceway Park before Sullivan got involved. Eddie got to battle the “bogus” Patriot on the last card at the Nashville Fairgrounds and was victorious but couldn’t capture the masked man’s mask. You can bet the World champion and Sir Oliver Humperdink will be extra protective of the Dark Patriot’s black-and-red mask on this night! o Speaking of The Patriot, the original Patriot will be in action in Evansville as well, when he faces Tyler Black! Both wrestlers are hoping to get back on track and get in the singles championship picture. It will be the power of the Patriot against the high-flying, hard-hitting offense of the Iowan! o Mad Dog Vachon, accompanied by Doctor X, was interviewed. The Algerian brawler announced that he and the masked Doctor have found their new ally. He has been successful in his home country, competing in the CWA (Catch Wrestling Association) and in the last year in Central States Wrestling (CSW). Lance Russell asked who this international star could be and Vachon revealed it is “The Clawmaster” Baron Von Raschke! Raschke has quite the reputation for his brawling tactics and his powerful brain claw! Vachon announced that Raschke will make his in-ring USWA debut at the Evansville card!
The USWA kicks off the month of August with a huge card on August 7 at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville! • Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana will take on one-half of the World Tag Team champions “The Doctor of Desire” Tom Prichard! Cabana will get his hands on fellow Jim Cornette-managed wrestler “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce next week in Findlay but he hopes to defeat Dr. Tom first. Can the Chicago native triumph over the six-time World Tag Team champion? • A first-time tag team match will take place when two-time former World Tag Team champions Steve “Dr. Death” Williams and Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy will take on the undefeated House of Humperdink team of Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito! Sir Oliver Humperdink’s team has been very impressive, defeating all comers. Williams and Gordy want to get another World Tag Team title shot. Who will win this battle of these two powerful duos? • In a rematch from two months ago in Memphis, Hillbilly Jim will collide with King Kong Bundy! Jim scored a huge upset over the New Jersey giant last time. Bundy is fired up to avenge that loss, particularly after winning the Battle Royal two weeks ago in Nashville. Which big man will walk out of Knoxville the winner? • In a special attraction from BTW, U.S. Heavyweight champion The Sheik and “The Wild Bull of The Pampas” Pampero Firpo will take on Angelo and Lanny Poffo! Week before Angelo challenges for the Sheik’s title and before Firpo and “Leaping” Lanny do battle, these four men will collide! Will the Poffos get momentum before the Findlay card or will Abdullah Farouk’s men triumph? • In a rematch of the New Year’s Knockout XIII main event, “The Boogie Woogie Man” “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant will collide with “Classy” Freddie Blassie! Valiant retained the World Heavyweight title on December 31 in Louisville. Both men are looking to get back in the singles title picture. Valiant’s trachea injury is nearly healed and perhaps having his voice back will give him confidence. But Blassie is bent on hurting opponents and winning money and championships. Will “Handsome” Jimmy go 2-0 against “The King of Men” or will “The Hollywood Fashion Plate” avenge the loss against “The Boy from New York City”? • Two fan favorite tag teams from two different promotions will collide, when the USWA’s Uptown Boys take on BTW’s Bobby Fulton and “Flying” Fred Curry! Fulton and Tommy Rogers had a three-match series last summer that Rogers swept but the matches were competitive, scientific classics. Rogers and Marty Jannetty are undefeated and looking forward to challenging for the USWA World Tag Team titles next week in Findlay! Fulton and Curry have become a popular tag team in BTW and could pull off the big win and give the Uptown Boys their first loss. Which popular duo will get the victory? • The main event will be a battle between two vile wrestlers for the USWA World Heavyweight title. Current champion “The Gamesmaster” Kevin Sullivan of the House of Humperdink will defend against Mad Dog Vachon! Vachon is a two-timer former World Tag Team champion but this will be his first shot at the World Heavyweight title. He earned the shot by defeating former champion “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant. Since that non-title win, he has gone on to defeat Valiant twice more. Sullivan injured Valiant back in March in Memphis at the USWA’s 500th card and went on to win the title in Louisville at Derby City Stampede. His evil tactics have led him to victory and to injuring many opponents. Perhaps his evil mind games won’t work against a fellow rulebreaker like the Algerian brawler. It will be interesting to see whom the Knoxville fans will support of either grappler, if either! Can Vachon stop “The Gamesmaster” or will the Boston brawler hold on to the gold?
All these bouts, plus Tommy Gilbert takes on Bobby Shane of the First Family of Wrestling! As well as the reunion of The Flying Redheads and “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce in singles action!

Some great action coming up. Really looking forward to Saito & Koloff vs the Miracle Violence Connection. That should be a hard hitting and brutal match.

Cory,
I’ve never really had the time to read all the Feds and still try to find time to play the game, but I really loved catching up on this. Such great mixture of matchups, personalities, and generally fun. Love it!

Thanks to Hunter G., JRo7, and Victory Roll for the comments!
August 7, 2017 Card #515: Civic Coliseum in Knoxville
1) “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce was victorious in the opener over “Sodbuster” Kenny Jay. Jay tried to be the aggressor at the opening bell but Pearce took control and dominated the action. He hit a spinebuster and followed up with the jumping piledriver to score the pinfall in about two minutes. Jim Cornette’s man looks ready to reignite his feud with Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana next week in Findlay! DUD
2) The Flying Redheads had a successful reunion, scoring a tag team victory over “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe and “The Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz. Red Bastien and Billy Red Lyons picked up right where they left off, not showing any ring rust as a team nor any animosity, despite battling each other the last two years. They kept the New Jerseyan Sharpe in the ring the entire match. They hit a double dropkick and Bastien stayed in control. He hit the airplane spin into the atomic drop, sending Sharpe crashing head-first into Rodz in their corner! Bastien covered Sharpe and scored the pin in about four minutes. The Knoxville fans gave the Redheads a big ovation for their reunion win! ¾*
3) Bobby Shane rallied back to defeat Tommy Gilbert via submission after eight minutes of action. Gilbert was a house of fire in the opening minutes. He hit the running knee lift as Shane returned to the ring from taking a breather. Gilbert went for a cover but Shane kicked out. Gilbert hit a back suplex and scored another near fall. Shane rolled out of the ring again and Jimmy Hart ran over to him. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert tried to go after Hart but Frank Morrell saw him coming and warned him back to his corner. Hart used this distraction to pull an object out of his jacket and hand it to Shane. Shane returned to the ring and used the object on Tommy. Shane then slipped it into his boot. He then went up to the top rope and came off the top with a loaded stomp. He covered Gilbert but the Gilbert patriarch kicked off. Shane went for the Japanese sleeper. Tommy started to drop but fought out of the hold. Shane took the bout to the floor again and rammed Tommy’s head into the ring post. He tossed him back and clamped on the sleeper again. Morrell checked Gilbert’s arm and it dropped three times, giving Shane the win. Shane did wake up Gilbert with a stomp with the unloaded boot. Eddie jumped in the ring to check on his father. Hart was happy with Shane’s win, especially before Gilbert challenges Ray “The Crippler” Stevens for the Mid-America Heavyweight title next week in Findlay! ***
4) One-half of the World Tag Team champions “The Doctor of Desire” Tom Prichard scored a controversial disqualification win over Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana. This was a back-and-forth battle between these two. Midway through the bout, Prichard scored a near fall after blocking a charge from Cabana in the corner with a boot to the face. Prichard’s tag team partner Chris Candido made a surprise appearance since he was not booked on this card. He joined Jim Cornette and Mr. Hughes at ringside. Prichard charged at Cabana with a clothesline but Cabana ducked the clothesline and backdropped Prichard over the top rope and to the floor! Cabana went out after Dr. Tom. Cornette jumped up on the ring apron to distract Jerry Calhoun. As Cornette did, he slipped the tennis racquet to Candido. While Cabana pounded on Prichard, “The Suicide Blonde” snuck around the ring and tried to attack Cabana but “Boom Boom” saw him coming. He decked Candido, who dropped the racquet. Cabana picked up the racquet and was going to nail Candido but Prichard stopped him. Cabana responded by nailing Prichard with the racquet. Unfortunately for Cabana, Calhoun turned around in time to see this and disqualified Cabana after 10 minutes. Prichard grabbed the racquet and he, Candido Cornette, and Hughes quickly retreated. They were met in the aisleway by “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce, coming off his win in the opener. Pearce stared down Cabana, gloating how Cornette’s stable had tricked Cabana! You can bet that Cabana will be extra fired up when he and Pearce do battle again but for the first time in a USWA ring, next week in “Flag City, USA”! **½
5) In a battle of two powerhouse tag teams, two-time former USWA World Tag Team champions Steve “Dr. Death” Williams and Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy battled the House of Humperdink’s Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito to a double disqualification after 30 minutes of intense action! Koloff and Saito worked over “Dr. Death” for the first few minutes. Saito went for the Scorpion Leglock in the first few minutes but Williams powered his way to the ropes for a break. Koloff missed a charge into the corner and Williams tagged to “Bamm Bamm.” Gordy worked over “The Russian Bear” and even hit the power bomb but the former USWA World champion kicked out. Gordy later hit a second power bomb but Saito made the save. Saito was the legal man and went for a judo throw on “Doc” but Williams blocked it and hit a spinebuster. Williams busted Saito open with a head butt but the Japanese Olympian made the tag to Koloff. Koloff controlled Williams for several minutes. Williams surprised Koloff with a lariat. He tagged to Gordy and the two-time former World Tag Team champions hit a double football tackle. Gordy went for a cover but Koloff kicked out. Williams had control of Saito a few minutes later. Williams knocked him out of the ring. Saito reached in and tripped Williams’ leg, then drug him to the corner and smashed his leg into the ring post. He then applied the Scorpion again, with Williams far away from the ropes and Saito close to the House of Humperdink’s corner. Williams was in a lot of pain and was trapped in the hold for nearly a minute. Gordy came in and attacked Saito to break up the submission attempt. Koloff jumped in and started to slug it out with Gordy. Williams was hobbling around but had enough strength to duke it out with the Japanese Olympian. Joe Wheeler put the five-count on both teams but all four men continued brawling, so Wheeler was left with no choice but to disqualify both teams. The fan favorites finally gained the upper hand and sent Koloff, Saito, and Sir Oliver Humperdink back to the locker room! ****
6) King Kong Bundy avenged his upset loss from two months ago with a pinfall on Hillbilly Jim. Bundy had the initial advantage but Jim rallied back and dazed the New Jersey giant with a head butt. Jim managed to hit a scoop slam on the 446-pounder, which rocked the crowd! Jim went for a pin but Bundy kicked out. Bundy fought back, knocking Jim off his feet with a shoulder tackle. He then tried to beat Jim with his own finisher—the bear hug. Jim started to weaken. Frank Morrell checked Jim’s arm. It dropped twice but bounced back on the third attempt. Jim punched at Bundy but the giant kept the bear hug locked on and then drove Jim backward into the buckles. He then whipped Jim into the opposite corner and followed up with the Atlantic City Avalanche to score the five-count after eight minutes. “The Mouth of The South” Jimmy Hart was very happy with Bundy’s win! **¾
7) In a special attraction from Big Time Wrestling and a preview of two of next week’s matches, United States Heavyweight champion The Sheik and Pampero Firpo defeated Angelo and Lanny Poffo in about six minutes in decisive fashion. The Sheik and Firpo were accompanied by their manager Abdullah Farouk. “The Wild Bull of The Pampas” attacked Angelo right at the bell. Angelo fought back and tagged to his son. “Leaping” Lanny hit a body slam on Firpo but Firpo rallied back and tagged to the Sheik. The U.S. champion pounded on Lanny and locked him in the Camel Clutch. Angelo came in the ring and broke up the submission attempt. Firpo came in as well and the two brawled to the floor. While the Sheik and Lanny continued the battle inside the ring, Firpo hit Angelo with a chair on the floor and then returned to his team’s corner. Sheik tagged Firpo back into the ring and the Argentine pounded on “Leaping” Lanny before locking in El Garfio and pinning Lanny’s shoulders to the mat with the claw. Farouk’s team was very vicious in tag team competition. How will they fare against the Poffos one-on-one next week in Findlay? ¼*
8) “Classy” Freddie Blassie got a win via disqualification over “The Boogie Woogie Man” “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant. Valiant had the early advantage and looked as if he might get a repeat win against “The King of Men.” He whipped Blassie into the ropes but telegraphed a back body drop, allowing Blassie to surprise him with the Southern neckbreaker about two minutes into the match. Blassie went for a cover but Valiant kicked out. Blassie then resorted to his rulebreaking tactics to try and defeat “Handsome” Jimmy, blatantly choking him and biting him before attempting a pin. Red Bastien, coming off of his earlier win on the card with Billy Red Lyons, came out to cheer on Valiant and to get in the mind of Blassie, whom he’s battled this year. Blassie spotted Bastien and gave him a boot to the face from inside the ring. He then hit a second Southern neckbreaker. An irate Bastien jumped in the ring and pounced on Blassie. Joe Wheeler was left with no choice but to disqualify Valiant after 4½ minutes. Blassie quickly retreated to the locker room. Bastien apologized to “Boogie Woogie,” who understood Bastien’s temper toward Blassie! *¾
9) In an inter-promotional match between two popular tag teams, the BTW team of Bobby Fulton and “Flying” Fred Curry gave the USWA’s Uptown Boys their first loss in an exciting 24-minute match! All four wrestlers shook hands with each other before the match in a great sign of sportsmanship and the Knoxville fans were appreciative of this. Tommy Rogers and Fulton started off the match for their respective teams, continuing their friendly rivalry from last summer. Rogers quickly gained control and tagged Jannetty. Jannetty went for an atomic drop but Fulton flipped backward over Jannetty rolled to his corner and tagged Curry. “Flying” Fred immediately went up to the top rope and came off with a flying body press on Jannetty. Curry’s own momentum caused him to roll past Jannetty and not secure a cover, so he went up to the opposite turnbuckles and came off again. Jannetty rolled through on this attempt and ended up on top in a pinning position but Curry kicked out. Curry rallied back and he and Fulton trapped Rogers in the ring for several minutes. Fulton blasted Rogers with a running knee lift and scored a two-count. Later, Curry and Jannetty were the legal men. Curry gained the upper hand and came off the top rope with an impressive sunset flip for a very near fall. Curry showcased his aerial abilities again, hitting a missile dropkick on Jannetty for another two-count. Fulton tagged back in and got Jannetty down on the mat. He tagged back to Curry, who went up to the top rope. Fulton tossed him off with their finisher—the Rocket Launcher. Curry landed on top of Jannetty and made a cover. Fulton blocked Rogers from attempting a save and Fulton and Curry got the huge pinfall. While the Knoxville fans had supported the Uptown Boys for most of the match, they did pop big and gave Fulton and Curry a big ovation for their hard-fought win! Rogers and Jannetty seemed disappointed to have suffered their first loss but knew they had been beaten in a scientific manner. Fulton and Curry offered their hands first and the Uptown Boys accepted. Fulton and Curry wished their opponents good luck against the Heavenly Bodies for the USWA World Tag Team titles next week in Findlay and indicated they would be watching from the locker room! ***
10) After intermission, fans went from a great scientific match between two popular teams to a vicious brawl between two rulebreakers for the USWA World Heavyweight title. “The Gamesmaster” Kevin Sullivan, accompanied by manager Sir Oliver Humperdink, put the title on the line against Mad Dog Vachon. This was Vachon’s first shot at the World title, which he earned by pinning “Boogie Woogie Man” “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant, who was champion at the time, back in April in Jonesboro.
The fans slightly favored Vachon tonight, possibly wanting to see a title change and possibly due to Sullivan and the House of Humperdink’s vile actions in the past year, injuring several top USWA stars. Vachon got the champion down on the mat and used his own finisher against him—the double foot stomp! Sullivan was hurting but surprised Vachon with a shoulder tackle and then followed up with a clothesline. “The Gamesmaster” was frustrated right away and went to his robe. He pulled out his golden spike and jammed it into Mad Dog’s head, right in the middle of the ring! Jerry Calhoun saw this and disqualified the champion about 90 seconds into the main event! Fans were outraged by this! Sullivan continued to spike the challenger after the bell until several USWA referees and officials got him and Humperdink out of the ring. Fans pelted the World champion and the manager with garbage as they returned to the locker room! neg*

Really enjoy reading your fed Cory. Can't wait till somebody finally dethrones Sullivan. Got a question for you. When you have wrestlers, such as Colt Cabana or Adam Pearce, do you use their color indy card or do you use their B&W legends card?

Really enjoy reading your fed Cory. Can't wait till somebody finally dethrones Sullivan. Got a question for you. When you have wrestlers, such as Colt Cabana or Adam Pearce, do you use their color indy card or do you use their B&W legends card? Thanks for the comment, Derek! Everyone is different. For Colt, I currently use his original B&W card from Legends 11. For Pearce, I use the color card from the NWA CWFH set, with a few tweaks to make him more a little more even with Colt's first B&W card. I really liked the artwork on that card and thought Grant did a good job of making the moveset accurate for Pearce at the peak of his career. One other wrestler currently in my fed that fits this category is Luke Harper (Brodie Lee). I initially used his LOTF Second Fall card. But during the summer of game year 2017, I decided to use his Chikara card, as I liked the artwork better. I did tweak him a bit there too, mainly on his L1O and L2O but otherwise, I thought the card fit well in a Legends fed and especially how I'm currently using him, primarily as Tyler Black's bodyguard but wrestling as well. Speaking of Black, in case you can't tell by the moveset, I currently use his LOTF Second Fall card.
