Orton helps his son to the back. (BO 3; JV 6)
Match #4: The Sandman v. Ted DiBiase w/Virgil DiBiase draws huge heat by presenting Gary Michael Cappetta with a medical letter stating that DiBiase cannot compete due to an “upper body injury.” Commissioner Charlie Cox comes out and tells DiBiase if he cannot compete, than Virgil will take his place. Virgil is not pleased, but the fans explode. DiBiase looks like he will attack Cox but Sandman hits the ring and decks both DiBiase and Virgil. Virgil survives a HARDCORE DDT and the action spills to the floor. DiBiase interferes; nailing Sandman with a chair shot and tosses Sandman back into the ring. Virgil downs a semiconscious Sandman with a COBRA CLUTCH at 0:49.
Mil Mascaras is on the Hotseat with Bill Apter. United States Champion Iron Sheik comes out demanding that Apter interview him because he is a champion, not a Masked Freak. Match #5 Bobo Brazil (inj) & The Last of the Famous International Playboys v. Midnight Express & Brother Jonathan w/Jim Cornette Great pop for Brazil and the Playboys. The Sandman – DiBiase feud picked up right where it left off with DiBiase outsmarting Sandman tonight. Commissioner Cox was not so impressed however. Cox has determined that DiBiase medical note expires on April 25th and he has signed Sandman to face DiBiase on April 26th at the Philadelphia Arena, the same arena DiBiase injured Sandman at back in January. As well, Cox has signed a rematch between Virgil and Sandman next week. The winner will get to pick the stipulation for the Philadelphia match between DiBiase & Sandman!
Bob Orton made a huge statement handily beating Johnny Valentine tonight. But he paid the price and only the intervention of his father saved him from being seriously injured at the hands of Johnny and Greg Valentine. Bob Orton Sr has signed his contact to compete in the LWF and the Ortons will face the Valentines as part of the all star card in Philadelphia which already features the Sandman – DiBiase match and Buddy Rogers defending his title against Bobo Brazil.
Look for some wild brawls in the coming weeks between Hacksaw Duggan and Sabu.

Match #4 Giant Baba & The Destroyer v. King Kong Bundy & Ox Baker Japanese media cover the match from ringside and Bundy draws their attention predicting a five count will end the match. Finally Bundy is able to tag in and squashes Destroyer with an AVALANCHE but Destroyer kicks out at the lost possible second. Baba tags back in when Bundy misses a bulldog and Baba ends the contest at 3:40 with a Russian Legsweep while Destroyer blocks Baker’s pin save. (GB 2, D 4; OB 5; KKB 6)
Virgil & Ted DiBiase are guests on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter. Virgil announces that next week's match between DiBiase & Sandman will be a handicap lumberjack match. Ted DiBiase & Virgil v. The Sandman. DiBiase tells Sandman not to worry about picking lumberjacks because he will find the best lumberjacks money can buy.

A shocking end to one the LWF’s best feuds with Bockwinkel going over Gotch in the cage in just three moves! Bockwinkel is poised to take another run at Buddy Rogers the LWF Title.
Plenty of DQs tonight which left the fans frustrated to say the least filling the ring with trash at the conclusion of the main event. This seems to happened at Witschi's Sports Arena quite frequently.
Big news out of Commissioner Cox’s office. The Commissioner has scrapped the Destroyer v. Valentine number one contenders match scheduled for May 3rd. Destroyer has requested that he along with partner Giant Baba receive a shot at the LWF Tag Team Titles. Cox has granted the request and the title match is the first confirmed match for the May 17th Madison Square Garden Show. It is expected that Bockwinkel will challenge Buddy Rogers on that card should Rogers still be LWF Champion at that time.
The bouts between Duggan & Sabu are fun to play. After two DQ finishes it is time to take things to the extreme starting with a Texas Death Match in two weeks at LWF's debut at the Nassau Coliseum. The main event in Long Island will feature the Valiant Brother's return match against the Russian Assassin's for the LWF Tag Team Titles.
Up next, we return to the Philadelphia Arena for what promises to be a wild night. Matches already signed include:
- Jimmy Snuka attempts to get some revenge when he faces Playboy Buddy Rose in singles action
- Jimmy Valiant faces Russian Assassin #2 one on one
- Dick Hutton returns to continue his feud with Ox Baker. Although he has medical clearance to compete, Hutton is not full recovered and may have taken on too much stepping back into the ring with the powerful madman Ox Baker
- The Orton Boys make their debut and have a score to settle with the Valentines after the Valentine’s attack on Bob Orton Jr. three weeks ago
- In a handicap lumberjack match, The Sandman finally gets his hands on Ted DiBiase who will have Virgil as his partner and will get to hand pick all the Lumberjacks. Can the Sandman overcome these odds?
- Bob Brazil attempts to capture the LWF Title from Buddy Rogers in the main event.
