Matt Hardy and the Headbangers??? In ROH? This is not the 90's, ROH is not the WWF. You might want to tell that to ROH, then. Matt Hardy does not need to be anywhere near ROH promotion or game. He's been in ROH before, in 2005 to be exact and he had awesome matches during his stay, including one of the matches that established Roderick Strong as a top guy. Future ROH cards should be those who are real ROH wrestlers, not rejects of the "Attitude era" Well, WGTT and Rhino aren't 'real ROH wrestlers', they're WWE rejects. Would you want them replaced in the set, too? I mean shit, I want Bobby Fish, TJ Perkins (screw him no longer being with ROH, we got the Bucks) and BJ Whitmer (not really but I needed a third name) as well, but I'm not gonna object to a ROH Matt Hardy card. (Note: I don't care how long WGTT slum it in ROH, they're WWE guys and always will be.)

Names bring in fans. Matt Hardy and Headbangers are stars with name recognition a Davey Richards or Eddie Edwards don't have. You can't advertise "hey, this guy you don't know is going to do awesome stuff in the ring" to the casual fan and have it work. They come to see the names they know, and THEN (hopefully) they get drawn back by the regulars. Besides, every one of those guys still has a ton to give to wrestling; these are not broken down hacks by any means.
I think the Headbangers have finished up with ROH, but I have NO problem with it if they haven't. Also, ask anyone who wants to make money if they'd like to have Matt Hardy be associated with their wrestling product. I'll bet the answer is a resounding "yes" almost every time.
PS: I would not consider myself a Hardy fan, but the facts speak for themselves about what he means in name recognition and fan support.

Guess I don't hate him as much as others seem to because I'd love a Matt Hardy card if plausible.

Looking at the alumni list right now. It seems the most compelling releases aren't signed. I'm talking about guys like Jimmy Rave, Red, Yang, Gibson, etc...
There's only a handful of guys left from the current roster for releases.

Exactly my point. A lot of the big names won't be available for release.

Who the hell wants a Matt Hardy card with +4 agility and an 8(5) PIN? With the special instruction: Before match roll one die: 1-3 play normally. 4-6 Matt Hardy went on a bender before the show and is in condition to work. Roll for suspension.

Anyone who says Matt Hardy still has anything to contribute to the business has clearly not watched any of his post WWE work.
