If someone would have told me last year that at 41 years old, the man who once played Bubba Ray Dudley, if given time and opportunity, could with-in nine months headline a card that would deliver TNA's largest domestic crowd in company history, I wouldn't have believed it. Well the man who now plays Bully Ray proved me wrong! He took up the challenge, got in shape, delivered in the ring, stepped it up on the mic, consistently carried high quarter hours, and capped it off by producing a company record at the Lockdown PPV.
Major props for showing that if you work hand and believe in yourself, the handicaps of age and typecasting can be overcome, even in the wacky world of pro wrestling. Below is a look at his impressive run:

I have to say that I'm really impressed too. At first, I tought it was going to be like pretty much every TNA angles. I tought that they would come up with a follow up for the story one week at the time (Immortal ... AJ Styles/Daniels) . Now with this one, I have the feeling that they wrote it all up for the next 9 months and they are playing it backwards like a SAW movie ending which is very cool. Every thing pretty much sticks together and I dig it. I know they pretty much did it so they would stay with the company, but I think it's nice to see Ray and Devon holding to two top titles in TNA. I feel like they really deserve it.

I was stunned with how well they tied it all together, it wasn't the massive ass grab that the Immortal explanation was. I've enjoyed Bully a ton since he became Bully a couple of years ago. Who would have thought he'd be one of the most entertaining acts in wrestling by himself?! Insane.

Definitely agree. Devon has done very well to transform himself as well. And neither one of them is still living on the Dudley Boys characters.
