Wikipedia has a standard of "notability" that articles are required to have. This means coverage in third-party sources. Now, it would not be particularly difficult to establish that for COTG--someone with the old Collector's Packs or the Jamestown Post-Journal coverage or the gaming magazine coverage would be able to do that easily. But you HAVE to cite sources if you're going to have a Wikipedia article--I'm guessing the lack of those is why it got deleted the first time. A Wikipedia article on COTG would be great, but it'd have to be limited primarily to stuff that's covered in those tertiary sources. A bit of a plot overview would probably be okay, but the tertiary sources tend to primarily cover the origins and development of the game itself rather than "in-universe" stuff. I thought at one point a separate wiki for COTG had been established somewhere. That would be the place to put information like Rahl Ratings or other gaming-specific information. Those are the stated guidelines, but it doesn't really work out that way all the time. There are pages full of unsubstantiated hyperbole that get left intact, and others full of factual and sourced info that disappear. It's a random process decided by whether or not you get in the crosshairs of a zealot community admin, or someone with an agenda.

Would something like the LOW Resource be kosher with Tom & Co. if an industrious individual were to start something like this?

Well, I think a wiki page would be more readily accessible for everyone but I wouldn't want to put it together if the FG folks didn't want it. I don't want to infringe on copyrights or anything.

Interesting timing for this discussion to come up... Probably part of the Titor/Condor Security conspiracy. They are everywhere, I'm telling you.

Interesting timing for this discussion to come up... We're proud to announce than an official FG Wiki page is currently in development. Stay tuned! Of course. I am always a day late and a dollar short with my ideas. I have more than once had an idea for a TV show or something and drag my feet finding a way to cash in on it only to see someone beat me to it. Granted this was simply an idea and not a money making one but yet another example of an idea of mine coming to fruition by no involvement of my own lol. But that is great news. I hope it gets expanded into pages for individual characters. It would be nice to look up stuff to see the history and things like what the finishers are. I know the finishers are listed in the books but I have either lost or misplaced some over the years. And to be honest even with reading it I do not always know exactly. That is where Wiki comes in with things like connections to the page with the move listed for a more detailed explanation.
