the next QPW show (the first since June) is Saturday February 1st (the same day as National Pro Wrestling Day and the day after PWG's DDT4!)
the first match announced is QPW Champion Adam Thornstowe (of Reno Scum) defending his championship against Drake Younger!

February 1st was actually one of the two Saturdays of Second Semester that I am supposed to work- but I just cleared it and I have been told I can go to California that weekend for PWG's DDT4 on Friday and QPW on Saturday!

February 1st was actually one of the two Saturdays of Second Semester that I am supposed to work- but I just cleared it and I have been told I can go to California that weekend for PWG's DDT4 on Friday and QPW on Saturday! And, although I am not sure if CWFH will do one of their bimonthly Sunday tapings that weekend since it is the Sunday of the Super Bowl, I just remembered I will still be saving my flex day for this school year that I can still use on an upcoming Monday to attend a CWFH Sunday taping in California! And, unless my Seahawks make the Super Bowl that weekend, if CWFH indeed has a show on February 2nd, I would definitely stay another day and make it 3 wrestling shows in California in 3 days!  |

Joey Ryan vs Cheerleader Melissa (as previously mentioned, Joey runs QPW with my friend Alan who lives here in Las Vegas and Alan and Joey go together to alot of Angles games in Anaheim while Cheerleader Melissa is also a really good friend of Alan as he and she go to Giants games and NHL games together)
Brian Kendrick vs Kyle O'Reilly

I just bought my prepaid ticket to this show so I can get in the first line into the building. This show is definitely worth the $18 ticket price.

quick recap of tonight's results:
since QPW's Joey Ryan is no longer with TNA, QPW can now do DVDs and QPW debuted two awesome commentators- PWG's Excalibur and ROV matchmaker Nigel McGuinness!
Willie Mack and B Boy defeated RockNES Monsters
Johnny Goodtime had one of the most impressive suicide dives I have ever seen which sent B Boy crashing into my front row center seat (I got out of the way in time) and Goodtime kept flying down the aisle and into the next room where he landed on the table used to sell tickets and I think he broke that table as it was not reset up afterward.
Brian Cage defeated Nick Madrid via WEAPON X
Cheerleader Melissa defeated Joey Ryan.
This of course was a comedy match and alot of fun as usual when Joey Ryan is wrestling a woman. At one point early in the match, Melissa was giving Joey Ryan some chops and then she pointed at her own chest and told him "give me your best shot." Joey Ryan then said "my best shot comes from here" and pointed at his crotch. Towards the end of the match, Ryan got his wrestling trunks torn pretty badly and afterward he put them on the head of a female fan who was celebrating a birthday. Joey Ryan then gave that female fan a lap dance and for a tip she put some dollar bills down his underwear.
Kyle O'Reilly defeated Brian Kendrick
A great technical match with lots of submission holds. I saw that lots of praise has already been given to this match on Facebook by some of the other fans I know who were also in attendance.
Chris Hero defeated Kevin Steen
Hero was a surprise replacement for Adam Pearce who had a family emergency. I actually knew about Hero because my friends Ryan, Mary, and Richard who all work for QPW invited me into the building early for awhile before they let in the other fans. But I of course kept that information about Hero secretly being on the show to myself.
Christina Von Eerie and Candice LeRae defeated PPrAy 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls match
QPW Champion Adam Thornstowe defeated Drake Younger
The crowd really favored Younger who I would argue in terms of popularity is the Daniel Bryan of SoCal wrestling- instead of Yes! chants there are loud Drake! Drake! Drake! chants at both PWG and QPW. At one point near the end of the match, Thornstowe had a chair in the ring and it fell outside to land right in front of me. Thornstowe told me to pick up the chair and give it to him and instinctively I started to do so but then I stopped because I was wearing one of my Drake Younger shirts and I refused to pick up the chair. Thornstowe then asked some other front row fans to give him the chair but they (Drake Younger fans too) also refused. Thornstowe then started flicking people off until one guy wearing a Clippers jersey finally got up and gave Thornstowe the chair but that fan got booed by the crowd who chanted "Clippers suck." That chair was later used to give Thornstowe the victory to retain the QPW Championship. The crowd really wanted Drake Younger to win and one fan near me even said "that was more disappointing then Batista winning the rumble"- I disagree because I like Thornstowe even though I was also cheering for Drake
afterward, I talked to some friends and briefly to a couple of the wrestlers (Kendrick was wearing a Seahawks hat on the night before the Seahawks play in the Super Bowl) before driving back to Las Vegas (I wanted to make sure I got home in time for the Super Bowl.)
Regardless of whether my Seahawks win or lose the Super Bowl today, I have already had an awesome time this weekend both at QPW last night and at PWG on Friday night!
