So I got the AJ Styles cards in the mail today (both are awesome) but it brings up a question that I am going to pose to other promoters on the board. How are you going to use him not necessarily what matches is he going to get because that is the easy and most fun part. But given that he has two cards, are you going to use one card first and switch to the other later? Or are you going to alternate between the two cards? My plan is to use the unhooded AJ card first (The one that's art was revealed first) and then switch to the hooded card later (The one that's art was revealed second). I am wondering what other promoters on here are going to do though.

I'm gonna use the hooded card first and use the classic card for big matches.

I'm just going to use the classic card because that's the AJ I like the most. I'm shooting him straight to the top of my NXT fed.

So the hooded one is current AJ, while the other is classic early 2000's indy AJ?

It's more like 2004-2006 TNA didn't completely suck yet AJ.

The Spiral Tap isn't a finisher on the classic version, it's an add 1 and he has the Pele Kick.

So the hooded one is current AJ, while the other is classic early 2000's indy AJ? The hooded one has the calf killer, the hoodless one has a lot of moves he did back in what people would consider his peak.

Decided to put hooded AJ up against the top 10 color cards that I have, here were the results. vs. Davey - awesome match, AJ won vs. Edwards - total squash, Edwards won vs. Aries - very good match, AJ won vs. Savage - total squash, Savage won vs. Hero (LOH) - total squash, Hero won (snake eyes suck) vs. Roderick Strong - total squash, Roddy won (snake eyes suck) vs. Michael Elgin - total squash, Elgin won (Elgin Bombs suck) vs. Kevin Steen - another squash, Steen won vs. El Generico - a squash that AJ actually won! vs. Tyler Black - a squash, Black won
For those keeping score, hooded AJ went 3-7. Horrible dice rolls on my part + that (pw) check on L2O + the down - 3 on L2D = hooded AJ didn't perform like I'd hoped. The alternate AJ card doesn't have the (pw) check or the down - 3, I'm inclined to believe he'd fare much better but man the hooded art is so much cooler.

Since I will likely be using AJ in my Legends fed I am considering using a dice roll to determine which card to use each time I use him in a match. Since there are quite a few moves that are unique to each card it feels like by doing this I will be getting the best of both worlds. He does feel a little over powered for a Legends fed though so I don't quite know what to do about that yet.
