Blehschmidt thanks for checking out the action. Chucky T has really turned some heads especially against Ciampa. I have enjoyed the bouts with Outlaw Inc and will be looking forward to their singles bouts. I have always kept it in the back of mind I would build a singles feud between them after their tag team run. Thanks for the suggestion of the tag team match with the singles straps on the line. It might be something I will build towards.
aceldamas it was very deflating and I actually considered scraping the fed and starting from scratch with some minor changes.
Sam Fain thanks for the feedback. Edwards and Danielson was a blast to play out. Danielson has been inconsistent from time to time so I will be curious to see where he ends up after falling to Edwards. The feud between Outlaw Inc and the Champs was a lot more exciting than I had first thought it would be.
Card 10 – Natural Wonders of the Ring –Knights of Columbus Hall, Niagara Falls, Ontario
Juan Francisco De Coronado w/Man Servant Herbert & Archibald Peck w/Veronica v. Osirian Portal (Ophidian & Amasis)
Huge heat for Peck and De Coronado as they each take their time “preparing” for action on the floor. The fans are into the early action which moves at a quick pace. Peck goes for the CRANIAL CRESCENDO twice in the match missing both times. Ophidian is able to escape a CORONADO CLUTCH and later punishes Peck with a Death Grip. De Coronado kicks out after an OSIRIAN SACRAMENT and the action goes to the floor where hits a double underhook powerbomb putting Amasis through a table! The fans are chanting as the bell sounds. De Coronado has been disqualified. **
Green Ant v. Chuck Taylor
Taylor is coming off a significant loss to the Northern Lights Champion Eddie Edwards last card while Green Ant continued to dominate in undercard action. Taylor dominated the early action drawing plenty of heat along the way. He controls the action both in and out of the ring and Ant has zero offense from the opening bell. Three times Taylor hits an OMEGA DRIVER and Ant gets the shoulder up after each one. The fans are really getting behind Ant as he avoiding being counted out of the ring twice as well. Ant counters a back drop with a piledriver and makes his comeback with a Chikara Special that nearly ends it. Back to back tombstone piledrivers get a near fall. Taylor escapes a CLOVERLEAF but Ant keeps coming locking in a second CLOVERLEAF for the win causing the fans to explode. ****
Tursas v. Homicide
Homicide continues his quest to enter the Pick Six by stepping into the ring with the man at the top of the list, Tursas. Overcoming the considerable size disadvantage proved difficult for Homicide as Tursas tossed him around in the early action. A pair of Kreuz Bombs shake the ring and look to almost break Homicide in half. Homicide manages to kick out of the pin attempts and even survives a DIVING CROSS BODY from the second rope! Homicide is able to avoid a shoulder tackle and finally gets things going with a pair of deathjump smashes. Homicide then hits DA GRINGO KILLER and the fans explode. Tursas kicks of cover and Homicide hits his finish again. Kick out. Third DA GRINGO KILLER and we get a third kick out! The fans cannot believe it. Homicide just keeps up the attack but takes things too far when he attacks Tursas with a fork and is disqualified. **** ½
A.R. Fox v. Bryan Danielson
Management has decided that winner of this bout will be the next challenger for the PWFI title currently held by El Generico. Just another insane contest between these two competitors. Although the match was not as long as some of their past encounters, it was action packed. Things picked up when Danielson countered a somersault stunner with a Yakuza Kick in a slick looking spot. They were done by a long shot. At ringside, Danielson uses a release wastelock suplex to put Fox through a table and the fans are chanting. Not to be outdone, Fox then put Danielson through a table of his own with a slingshot legdrop. Fox takes it up a notch with a suicide senton that has both men reeling. Danielson reverses a whip at ringside sending Fox shoulder first into the ring post. Back inside, Danielson immediately goes for kill with CATTLE MUTULATION targeting Fox’s shoulder but Fox makes the ropes. The American Dragon switches to a TRIANGE CHOKE but again Fox makes it to the ropes. Danielson does not lose focus and immediately applies a second CATTLE MUTULATION and gets the submission victory. The fans give both men a huge ovation! *****
Robert Anthony v. Eddie Kingston
These two have torn the house down in their recent contests and the fans were hoping for some more the same tonight. Kingston comes to fight and gets the best of an early chop battle that sends Anthony to the floor. Kingston maintains control but cannot get the win after a SLIDING D. It is Kingston’s night as he keeps up the attack both in and off the ring. Kingston connects with a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE but can only get a two count. Anthony counters a high angle bell to back suplex and hits an Ace Crusher. Kingston bails and Anthony follows. Both men tear up ringside and Anthony takes thing too far when he drops Kingston with a chair shot busting him open and earning a disqualification. Anthony is not impressed and shoves the official to the mat before leaving the ring. **
Larry Sweeney & Pinkie Sanchez v. Hounds of Hardcore (Danny Havoc & DJ Hyde)
The fans do not care for either one of these teams so there is great deal of heat at ringside. Sweeney looks very impressive early on against Havoc getting a near fall with a 12 LARGE ELBOWDROP. Both teams are able to make tags and Hyde gets the best of Sanchez. Sweeney gets back into the action but cannot get anything going. Hyde plants Sweeney with a Cyclone Slam and the Havoc finishes it with TOTAL HAVOC. (Cat’s eyes). * ½
Mike Mondo v. Tommaso Ciampa
Both these men have seen their stock fall in recent cards and were looking to turn things around and climb back into the pick six. Mondo comes out strong and takes the battle to Ciampa in and out of the ring. Mondo cracks Ciampa across the back with a chair shot earning some heat from the fans. Back inside, Ciampa battle back and connects with a deathjump clothesline followed by PROJECT CIAMPA for only a two count. The balance of the contest really belongs to Ciampa. Although Mondo does have the occasional offensive move, the story of the night really is Ciampa and his running knees to the corner which have a devastating effect. It is that move that leads to the three count and a big win for the Sicilian Psychopath. ***
PWFI Tag Team Title Match – Johnny Yuma & Charlie Haas (ch) v. The Tribe (Hawaiian Lion & Navajo Warrior)
You can really feel the anticipation of a title change at ringside. The Tribe do not disappoint and come out looking unbeatable early on cutting off Haas from his corner and working him over. The Tribe crushes Haas with RESERVATION DEVASTATION but cannot get the three count. Lion then immediately applies an ANKLE LOCK but Haas is able to grab the ropes. Yuma tags in but quickly gets turned inside out by a lariat and the Tribe continue to batter the champions. A Slot Machine rocks Yuma. Both teams begin to make more frequent tags as the action evens out. Lion mount the corner but Yuma is able to meet him on the top buckle and counters with a superplex that gets the champions back into the match. Yuma connect with SEX FACTOR but Lion kicks out. Haas tags in and immediately wraps up Lion in the HAAS OF PAIN but Lion makes the ropes. Haas applies the hold again and Warrior is in for the save. Haas drags Lion back to the middle of the ring and locks in a third HAAS OF PAIN. Yuma counters the save attempt with a backdrop and Lion has no choice but to tap out. The belts stay with Haas & Yuma in an amazing come from behind win. ***
Another big night of action with an epic battle between A.R. Fox and the American Dragon for the number one contender’s position and an impressive title defense for the seemingly unstoppable Tag Team Champions. In addition, Green Ant continues to roll entering the pick six. Up next, the PWFI returns to Hamilton Ontario. Last time in Hamilton history was made when the first PWFI Champion and Tag Team Champions. The following contest has been signed for the next card
*In a special challenge match, Tomasso Ciampa will face Chuck Taylor as the intense rivalry between these two continues.
*It was announced that following tonight’s card that The Tribe have left the PWFI and have returned to the West Coast Indy Scene. As a result, a new top contender in the tag team division will be decided when the Osirian Portal faces the Hounds of Hardcore. The winning team will get the next shot at Johnny Yuma & Charlie Haas
*Northern Lights Champion Eddie Edwards will be putting his title on the line against the newest member of the pick six, Green Ant. Will Ant continue his winning ways or is the end of the line for the fan favourite?
*A Hamilton Hardcore challenge has been made and Eddie Kingston will battle Robert Anthony once again this time under Hardcore Rules. Kingston likes to brawl and should be in fine form when he steps into the ring again the man who arguable stands between him and a PWFI Title shot. Anthony was fined 5 thousand dollars for his shove of the official and issues a formal apology for his actions. However, there will be no apologies for what he will do to Kingston.
*In the main event, by virtue of his win over A.R. Fox tonight, Brian Danielson challenges PWFI Champion El Generico for the title. Last time these two were in the ring together was at Road to Destiny as two thirds of the three way match to determine the first Northern Lights Champion and that night the American Dragon walked away with the title. Can he do it again?
