Card 11 – Knights of the Squared Circle –Knights of Columbus Hall, Hamilton, Ontario

Juan Francisco De Coronado w/Man Servant Herbert v. Frightmare
Frightmare makes his debut tonight and has the fans on their feet after a Frightensteiner and a somersault plancha. The match ends far too quickly however as Coronado grabs a chair and attempts to smash his opponent but Frightmare wrestles the weapon away and decks Coronado earning a disqualification. The fans don’t like the call but Frightmare gives chase to De Coronado and Herbert who quickly escape ringside. *

Northern Lights Title Match – Eddie Edwards (ch) v. Green Ant
A handshake gets the action underway and many of the fans are surprized to see the title match this early in the card. Edwards takes control and really dominates his challenger but in typical Green Ant fashion, Ant is very difficult to defeat. Edwards hits a chin checker for two and a DIE HARD also gets a two count. Ant is able to grab the ropes to escape an Achilles Lock. The fans are waiting on Ant to get something going but he never does as a second DIE HARD gives Edwards the win. **

Mike Quackenbush v. Drew Gulak
Two competitors making their debuts squared off next. Quackenbush has the fans behind him tonight and gets the early advantage with a Black Tornado Slam followed by a deathjump smash. Gulak bails and Quackenbush follows with both men brawling on the floor. The referee comes outside to get the match back into the ring and Gulak shoves the referee to the floor and is disqualified. Hamilton Hardcore Match – Eddie Kingston v. Robert Anthony
Although the fans were hoping that both these men would tear it up this one ended before it even really got going. Anthony went to charge at Kingston in the corner who stepped out and Anthony crashed hard against the buckles. Kingston quickly rolled up Anthony for the three count in the first minute of action. A huge disappointment for the fans but a big win for Kingston. *

Tommaso Ciampa v. Chuck Taylor
We get a Ciampa gonna kill you chant that has Taylor very concerned. Despite the fans warnings Taylor survives the early offensive attack by his opponent is able to get control of the action. A pair of turnbuckle powerbombs rocks Ciampa and leads to a somersault suicide dive. Taylor then hits an OMEGA DRIVER but Ciampa kicks out of the cover at 2 bring the fans to their feet. Taylor hits a second OMEGA DRIVER and claims the win. Suddenly Drew Gulak is in the ring and he joins Taylor for a two on one beat down on Ciampa. Ciampa is leftdazed in the ring. Afterwards, Ciampa gets to his feet and then issues a challenge to Gulak to a match at the next card in Whitby. * ½

Tursas v. A.R. Fox
Tursas does not appear to be in the best of moods and this is a bad thing for fox who gets tosses around the ring and then planted with a deadlift powerslam. Fox rolls to the floor and Tursas comes out after him cracking Fox across the back with a steel chair. The referee calls for the disqualification and the fans jeer Tursas out of the building. Dud

The Hounds of Hardcore (DJ. Hyde & Danny Havoc) v. Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian)
The winning team will go onto to challenge Johnny Yuma & Charlie Haas in Whitby for the Tag Team Titles. This match was fantastic and had the fans on the edge of their seats from bell to bell. The Portal showed great tag team skills early on keeping a fresh man in the ring at all times with frequent tags and cutting off Hyde from his corner. Hyde survives both a DEATH GRIP from Ophidian and later an OSIRIAN SACRAMENT. The Portal maintain the advantage and appear to have the match won after an Egyptian Destroyer but Havoc drops an elbow onto Amasis and places Hyde on top of his opponent for a near fall. The Hounds take over the action and get Amasis in trouble especially after a sick looking Summoning Lariat from Hyde. Havoc connects with TOTAL HAVOC for a two count before Ophidian is able to get back into the action. The balance of the match goes back and forth but the Portal is able to make more tags to keep the momentum on their side. Amasis hits the EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION on Hyde for the win. *****

PWFI Title Match – El Generico (ch) v. Bryan Danielson
The fans are on fire at the start of this one. A handshake leads to a Greco-Roman knuckle lock and we are underway. A Yakuza Kick spills Generico to the floor and the American Dragon comes out after him. Generico reverses an Irish whip and Danielson goes hard into the ring post. Back inside, Danielson is still stunned and Generico goes for the kill with a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH! that is spot on for the three count. The match ends very quickly and Generico remains your champion! Dud

A somewhat in consistent night of action with the Hamilton Hardcore match and the main event being let downs while the Osirian Portal and the Hounds of Hardcore showed that tag team wrestling is not dead in Ontario. Danielson’s loss in the main event was significant as the match was his second title opportunity while listed in the pick six and as a result he is removed from the pick six and now must battle his way back into the pick six if he wants another shot at title. Up next, we head to Whitby for another sold card of action featuring the following contests:

*Larry Sweeney looks to slip into the pick six when he takes on Robert Anthony

*The Hounds of Hardcore came up short in their bid to become the top contender for the Tag Team Titles tonight and will be looking to regroup when they face a new combo in the PWFI, Green Ant & Frightmare. The action should be intense.

*A.R. Fox has been given another opportunity to earn a shot at the PWFI Title as a number one contenders match has been signed as the Whole Foxin’ Show will face The Last of the Dying Breed, Eddie Kingston!

*Drew Gulak has balked at getting into the ring one on one with Tommaso Ciampa and instead has responded to Ciampa’s challenge with one of his own, a tag team match. Ciampa has agreed but who will he get to be as his partner?

*In the main event, Johnny Yuma & Charlie Haas put their tag team titles on the line against the team that has come from the bottom of the division to earn a title shot, Osirian Portal

I can't believe how well Haas & Yuma are doing! Always cool to see an odd team have success!

Gulak and Ciampa should be an interesting match once they go one on one.

While I like Johnny Yuma, I am not a Charlie Haas fan at all. GO PORTAL!!!

Chuckie T gets some help from the Legal Eagle, and beats Ciampa again. Be interesting to see if Ciampa has anyone willing to come fight by his side.

aceldamas Charlie Haas & Johnny Yuma have really been impressive on top of the tag team division so far. However, I will say that the Tribe did not stick around long enough to give them a serious challenge and Murder Inc are really more of singles wrestlers so perhaps bigger challenges are on the horizon for the champions. I am sure that Ciampa will be in the ring with Gulak one on one soon.

Blehschmidt Ciampa has really been on his own so far and cannot seem to handle Chucky T let along Taylor and Gulak as a team. He will need some help from somewhere. Can anyone trust him?

Card 12 –Battle Ground –Live Act, Whitby, Ontario

Larry Sweeney v. Robert Anthony
An entertaining opener with Sweeney really working the crowd for heat. The action is closely contested with both men having moments on top. Anthony turns things around when he catches Sweeney climbing the corner and tosses him to the mat earning a nice pop from the fans. Anthony finishes off his opponent with a TACO PIZZA. *

Juan Francisco De Coronado w/Man Servant Herbert v. Bryan Danielson
The American Dragon is on the outside of the Pick Six for the first time and seems driven to get back into contention. His first obstacle was the hated De Coronado who proves to be no slouch tonight. Danielson is the early aggressor but De Coronado has answers to several holds and gets the best of Danielson at ringside during a brawl. De Coronado cannot get Danielson in a position to finish however and the Dragon comes back locking in CATTLE MUTILATION but Herbert causes a distraction. Danielson punishes De Coronado with kicks and strikes before finishing him off with a diving headbutt. ***

Frightmare & Green Ant v. Hounds of Hardcore (DJ Hyde & Danny Havoc)
The fans are solidly behind Frightmare & Ant as the action gets underway. The action goes to the floor almost immediately but Ant gets the best of Hyde much to the pleasure of the fans. Ant takes the battle back outside and attempts to dive onto Hyde at ringside but Hyde catches Ant and powerbombs him into a table at ringside. The fans are chanting and Hyde has earned a disqualification. What a crazy spot to end the match *

A.R. Fox v. Eddie Kingston
The winner of this match will be the next challenger for the PWFI Title currently in the possession of El Generico. Fox uses his speed to get the immediate advantage on Kingston including Lo Main Pain followed by a deathjump smash and then a 460 SPLASH that only nets a two count. Kingston bails and Fox comes out after him. Kingston grabs a chair and smashes Fox across the back and this one ends in a disqualification finish. The fans are not pleased with the call as both men continue to brawl their way to the dressing room. *

Mike Quackenbush v. Archibald Peck w/Veronica
These two know each other very well so it is surprising when Peck opens with a whip into the ropes which results in Quackenbush countering a back drop with a piledriver. Quackenbush dominates this one including a dive onto the floor that has the fans rocking. Quackenbush plants Peck with a QUACKENDRIVER III. Veronica cannot cause a distraction and your winner is Mike Quackenbush. *

Pinkie Sanchez v. Scorpio Sky
Sky looked very impressive in his debut tonight ducking a jumping enzuigiri and attacking with knee strikes to the stomach before hitting an Argle Bargle followed by a ACE CRUSHER AND ROLL INTO DRAGON SLEEPER for the victory. Dud

Drew Gulak & Chuck Taylor v. Tommaso Ciampa &
The fans are still buzzing after Sky’s impressive victory and give Gulak & Taylor plenty of heat. Ciampa comes out next to a solid ovation and then his partner is introduced… Northern Lights Champion Eddie Edwards! We get Taylor v. Ciampa from the outset and Ciampa beats Taylor from corner to corner including a running knee that fans love. Gulak is able to get into the match and the momentum turns. Gulak gets the best of Ciampa on the floor and then connects with a deathjump smash before applying a GU-LOCK. Ciampa cannot counter. Edwards never tags into the match and Taylor & Gulak have a big win. Post match, Taylor begins to lay the boots into Ciampa drawing huge heat. Gulak goes after Edwards and it is chaos. Suddenly Icarus arrives and joins Taylor & Gulak in their attack earning huge heat. The fan thens explode when Davey Richards comes out of ringside and evens the sides coming to the aid of Edwards and Ciampa. Security is needed to pull the two teams apart. *

PWFI Tag Team Title Match – Charlie Haas & Johnny Yuma (ch) v. Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian)
The Portal are out to a solid ovation as they become the third team to attempt to take the Tag Team Titles from the tandem of Yuma and Haas. Yuma starts in against Ophidian and scores quickly with a running lariat that turns Ophidian inside out. Yuma covers for a 2 count and then follows with an Otter Drop for the pin (Cat’s Eyes pin after just two moves!). dud

Although tonight’s in ring action was somewhat disappointing the fans were treated to the debut of both Icarus and Davey Richards to the PWFI. Icarus has joined former FIST stablemate Chuck Taylor while Richards has sided with his American Wolves partner Eddie Edwards.
Up next, the PWFI returns to Toronto for a huge night of action featuring the following contests:

*A pick six challenge has been made as Lightening Mike Quackenbush will attempt to enter the Pick Six for the first time when he takes on Robert Anthony who has been in the pick six for some time but has only had one title shot

*In a rematch from tonight, the Hounds of Hardcore will battle the upstart tandem of Green Ant & Frightmare. Will another victory by Ant & Frightmare fast track them to the number one contenders position or will the Hounds of Hardcare reign in their violence long enough not to get disqualified and take their shot at the champions in the near future?

*In six man tag team action, GIST (Icarus, Drew Gulak and Chuck Taylor) battle the American Wolves and Tommaso Ciampa in what should be an absolute war.

*Bryan Danielson makes his first official attempt to regain a pick six position when he takes on former PWFI champion Tursas. Last time these two clashed Tursas went through a table and Danielson was disqualified on route to Tursas title tournament win. Will The American Dragon be able to regain a spot or will the power of Tursas prove too much?

*A.R. Fox came out on top against Eddie Kingston tonight and as a result will challenge PWFI Champion El Generico in the main event. Expect plenty of high flying action when these two battle for the gold.

Haas & Yuma are blessed by the dice! I'm pulling for the Hounds of Hardcore to challenge them next.

aceldamas I hope that the feud between Ciampa and Taylor continues in that direction. Ciampa has really come up short however and I am not sure how long the feud will last. The Hounds have been around for a while but cannot seem to get to the top of the rankings.

Card 13 – Where Stones Roll –El Moncambo, Whitby, Ontario

Larry Sweeney v. Scorpio Sky
Sweeney wrestled his best match in PWFI yet and came out really strong and really took over after a low blow set up a piledriver. Sky survived a 12 LARGE ELBOW DROP but Sweeney was not to be denied tonight however it would take two more 12 LARGE ELBOW DROPS throughout the contest to get the job done. Sky gets no offensive moves the entire match! **

Hounds of Hardcore (Danny Havoc & DJ Hyde) v. Frighmare & Green Ant
Ant and Frightmare had the fans behind them tonight especially some of the youngsters on hand and managed to cut off Hyde from his corner early on. Ant and Fightmare used text book quick tags to keep a fresh man in the ring at all times and punished Hyde with a Chikara Special and sommersault plancha and even a crucifix bomb. Havoc was eventually able to tag into the action but he could get nothing going. A Super Frankensteiner gets Frightmare a two count before Frightmare connects with a FRIGHT CRUSHER for the three count. Awesome win for the relatively new pairing of Ant and Frightmare.* ½

Mike Quackenbush v. Robert Anthony
A handshakes gets the action underway and the fans show their appreciation. Anthony has been very difficult to beat when it comes to defending his position in the pick six but he is still considered the underdog tonight. Despite this, Anthony is impressive early on picking up a near fall after a Death Valley Driver and a second after an Ace Crusher. Quackenbush catches Anthony climbing to the top ropes and tosses him to the mat starting his comeback. Quackenbush makes excellent use of the Chikara Special and Quackendriver to weaken his opponent. Anthony kicks out after a QUACKENDRIVER II but cannot counter a Chikara Special and has to submit. Quackenbush moves into the pick six. *** ½

American Wolves (Davey Richards & Northern Lights Champion Eddie Edwards) & Tommaso Ciampa v. Team GIST (Icarus, Drew Gulak & Chuck Taylor)
Great action from the outset in this one. We get Ciampa against Taylor early on and the fans eat it up. Taylor survives a PROJECT CIAMPA before the Wolves go to work on him including a nasty locking kicked to death from Richards. Eventually, Taylor is able to get the tag and Gulak leads his team back looking particularly good against Ciampa. The momentum then goes back and forth as both sides make clean tags in an effort to get the advantage which Richards does against Icarus. A multiple suplex assault is enough finish Icarus and give Richards the pinfall. ** ½

Pinkie Sanchez v. Eddie Kingston
The fans have to had to begin to wonder is Kingston was ever in a good mood. Bad mood or not, Kingston early struggled early especially with Sanchez’s speed. A BURNING SNICKLEFRITZ nearly gave Sanchez the upset win and the fans really came to life at this point. Kingston finally got into the match punishing Sanchez with a series of tombstone piledrivers, lariats and punches. Sanchez managed to survive a SLIDING D but a second SLIDING D was too much. **

Juan Francisco De Coronado w/Man Servant Herbert & Archibald Peck w/Veronica v. Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian)
The last time these two teams clashed was in Niagara falls and Amasis ended up going through a table for his trouble in a disqualification win. Amasis has an impressive start against Peck using the SNAKE CHARMER to set up the EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION for a two count. The Portal team up for an OSIRIAN SACRAMENT but De Coronado makes the save. The momentum turns when Peck is able to make the tag. Ophidian is cut off from his corner for a few minutes but Amasis is able to get back into the action but soon finds himself in trouble against De Coronado. Amasis is nearly pinned after a double underhook powerbomb. Peck tags in and uses a Baton Smash to drop Amasis but the referee sees it and disqualifies Peck. Peck is not pleased and then decks the referee with the Baton drawing huge heat. ** ½

Bryan Danielson v. Tursas
The battle of power v. scientific skills was next in a rematch from the first PWFI card. Tursas looks like a complete monster in this one from bell to bell tossing around his much smaller opponent. Danielson show no fear and just keeps coming after his opponent however including several times at ringside getting the best of brawls on the floor. There is great looking spot where Danielson attempts a running knee strike but Tursas counters with a standing powerslam. That is how the match went. The action spilled to the floor and once again The American Dragon showed his heart and battled Tursas blow for blow. Tursas then picked up Danielson and rammed him back first into the ring post. Tursas is not finished and sets up a table. It is going to be a Kreux Bomb through the table but the American Wolves arrive and go to work on Tursas. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards then connect with double team slam that sends Tursas through the table! The crowd is chanting as the Giant has fallen and Danielson is back in the pick six. **

PWFI Title Match – El Generico (ch) v. A.R. Fox
A handshake gets the action underway and the fans show their respect for both competitors. Huge electricity at ringside for this one. The champion wastes no time in going for the win hitting back to back SPIKE BRAINBUSTERS for a pair of near falls. The intensity at ringside increases as Fox battles back on the floor. Fox puts the champion on a table and hits a slingshot leg drop sending both men through the table. The fans are on their feet. Fox cannot capitalized on the huge spot which may have done just as much damage to himself. Generico comes back with a series of Yakuza Kicks and a sick looking exploder suplex into the turnbuckles for a two count. Generico then hits a perfect BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! (6) for the three count. ** ½

Some big news coming out of tonight’s card. First, PWFI officials were less than pleased with the actions of Archibald Peck after he struck the referee with his Baton following his disqualification loss in tag team action. As a result, PWFI officials have suspended Peck indefinitely! That’s right, Peck is gone and may never be back in the ring. Also, in what has a more significant impact on roster, medical officials have confirmed Tursas suffered a significant undisclosed injury as a result of being put through a table by the American Wolves tonight and will be out of action for some time. The duration of the absence could not be confirmed but a party close to the former champion confirmed that Tursas had returned Finland for treatment. Since it is unknown how long Tursas will be gone, he has been removed from the Pick Six.

Up next, the PWFI makes it return to Kitchener for an stacked card from start to finish. The action will include the following bouts:

*Not pleased with his performance tonight and just plain embarrassed, Scorpio Sky has demanded a rematch with Larry Sweeney. Will the King of Sting have more success in Kitchener or his the start of a run by Sweet ‘N’ Sour Sweeney?
*In a pick six challenge, Davey Richards will make his singles debut and will battle Mike Quackenbush. If the American Wolf gets the win, he will earn a spot in the pick six in only his second match in PWFI.
*In the first of three main events, Eddie Edwards puts the Northern Lights Title on the line against Robert Anthony. Anthony has been in the pick six since the beginning but this will be his second title shot so win, lose or draw, he will be automatically dropped from the pick six.
*In the second main event, PWFI Tag Team champions Johnny Yuma & Charlie Haas look to make another successful defense when they face the combination of Frightmare & Green Ant
*PWFI Champion El Generico returns to the place he won the title and put the belt up against the always tough Eddie Kingston in the main event.
