I can't be the first to think that Filsinger could use Kickstarter to fund card sets that may not otherwise be financially viable. Smaller indy promotions, special theme sets, etc. Kaiju Big Battle comes to mind. I think there are enough of us who would support projects in this way. Has this ever been discussed?

Fan contributions are most likely for these undertakings.

I don't know if that would really make much sense. FG would have to approach indy feds and then explain to them that this set will happen if the fans raise the money for it ahead of time. You really can't expect Kaiju Big Battel to sign up without a set being a sure thing. Could Kickstarter help get some already signed guys released? Maybe... but I think the idea is that those lower level types of guys (and gals) are to be a part of Promoter Prime.

honestly, it might be a bit much to expect. Plus you can't just get them to pay for a set, you have to give some incentives, and with the way Filsinger does things, it doesn't really do much for that (best they could probably do is connect online stuff with them)
I think if FG feels the market is there, they'll do it, if not, they won't
Now if it would get some guys for LOW who wouldn't sign without certain cash incentives, that could be a different story.
