Personally I think the different backgrounds for different feds makes a lot of sense.
Chikara - has the stars which makes sense with the somewhat sci-fi/fantasy feel.
ROH - originally had stars. That never made any sense to me. Now each card has a different background which to me makes a lot more sense and looks really cool.
Evolve - see above.
CZW - the black background creates a gritty feel. The only possible improvement could be a blood spatter background. Just a thought.
CWFH - The white background feels a little more old school to me, which makes sense based on the somewhat old school feel/booking of the fed.
Shimmer - Has the unified pink/purple Shimmer logo background, which I love!
Olde Wrestling - sepia tones. 'nuf said.
On a separate note, I completely understand why ROH has and really does NEED updates. To have a Cedric Alexander card that represents him from 3 years ago just doesn't seem right. But, as someone who doesn't run an ROH fed, updates are certainly less exciting. I like that we are getting cool new art and that the stats/moves will likely be a better representation of the wrestler, but it's no where near as cool as getting someone new for the first time.

I would like to point out that I am absolutely NOT against guys getting updates, I am super happy for the Cedric and ReDRagon updates. When Archibald Peck got his Chikara update, I was probably the happiest guy on this board!!
I just didn't want my dislike of Lethal to come across as me bitching about guys getting updates if anyone took it that way.
As for next set speculation....RD Evans, Updated Mark Briscoe, Adam Page are my big wants, and I wouldn't mind a slightly more powerful Ciampa as well if were updating more guys.

This Final Battle set is off the hook! Nice to see some "must have" additions and some updates as well. I know Silas and War Machine were big ones on my wants list. And Syndal was a surprise and very exciting to see.

I live in Buffalo and I'm usually among the first to get my cards, if they come from Phoenix it will be a little longer. |

I somehow managed to get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off this coming weekend. If these cards showed up before that, it would be a freaking awesome start to Christmas!!
