It just seems odd..That It works some of the time. I want to get online and play multiplayer matches with people...but it's hard to set up a table and a time if your not sure your even gonna be able to play. It gets very frustrating sitting there praying you get to connect.

To that end, though, the more of the three points of info I requested in my first post here that y'all can get me, especially #3, the faster we can get it fixed. Thanks for your help!

okay so I was able to get connect with Mike last night and we discovered a few things about the connection reliability. It really seemed like a crap shoot as we were able to connect 50% of the time and the other 50% of the time were the standard waiting for other player to load screen or the client server is full.
There seemed to be no constant as we would close out and try and connect again and either connect or get a different error all together.
The java window really didn't give any information when any of the errors occured either. The java box is great for communicating with the other player though if you don't get in.

ames has been tweaking the multiplayer connection code. I'd appreciate it if any of you who play multiplayer from time to time could let me know if things have been getting easier for you. Thanks!

The Faction and I played last night and we connected right away...it completely shocked us...in a good way. I know he had problems last week and so did I and it looks like whatever James did did the trick.

Yeah, James tinkered with a few things that might have been causing the connection problems... great thing is, there are some other things he's working on currently that will improve the Game Table even that much more.
We'll keep you posted, but please, like BDS said, keep reporting on the speed and success rate at which your Multiplayer Games connect right here in this thread.

I was just going to say the same TM. I was completely shocked to get into a table on the 1st attempt. I chalked it up to good luck, but if there was some code work being done then I'd say after just one test session there has been a drastic improvement.

Last night Dayton Dave and I played. We connect OK the first time (although not as fast as when The Faction and I met up). However, my mouse went funky at one point (new wireless mouse) and I hit a back space button by mistake. After that we were not able to reconnect. I event turned off my internet to try and get a new IP address, but it still didn't work. We will try again tonight.
