DAMN!! I thought DDP might have it. Another good match coming up next. Hopefully Black can survive the onslaught of Brody.

Too bad DDP couldn't manage the win... But, it looks like it was a helluva match!
Gonna hope for the underdog again... Let's go Black!

Great bout between Baba and DDP. I had a feeling Baba would take that one but I would have marked out for a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere for a victory. I like both guys in the next bout but I want Brody to advance. I fear the DQ could come into play though I am looking forward to that match.

Thank you for the comments everyone. Bruiser Brody (15) v. Tyler Black (50) Brody cuts his way to the ring and the fans are buzzing. Brody counters a backdrop attempt with a piledriver and then crushes Black with a running leg drop for a 1 count (R9/P2). Black stumbles to his feet and right into a big boot to the face from Brody. 1, 2, 3 and Brody is onto the next round (R3/P3). This one lasted less than five moves. Kamala said it best Up next . . .. Buddy Rogers (10) v. Adrian Street (55) w/Ms. Linda

WOW!! Kamala hit it right on the nose. I'm going with Street in the next round though my gut says Rogers.

Although the match was a squash, the reaction to Brody win was awesome. Thank you for the feedback everyone. mwjergs has stepped up and picked Brody to go all the way. If I recall right, Count Necros is backing Inoki to repeat as champion. Bold predictions considering we are only in the opening round. Buddy Rogers (10) v. Adrian Street (55) w/Ms. Linda Street starts out strong connecting with a running splash which allows Miss Linda to trip up Rogers leading to a two count (R4/P1). Rogers eats the rails on the floor but the referee allows the action to continue. There is a crazy looking spot where Rogers backdrops Street to ringside. Things break down and we get prolonged fighting at ringside. The fans want them back inside the ring. Back inside, it goes back and forth. Street gets rebounded off the ropes but counters with a flying shoulder smash. Rogers avoids Streetβs charge to the corner in the next series and rolls him up (R11/P3) for a one count. Rogers finally finds his groove and goes to work leading up to a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE but Ms. Linda is able to cause a distraction. It is all Rogers but somehow Street counters a backdrop with a piledriver and Rogers is in trouble. Street nails the CRUCIFIX but can only get a two count (R8/P3). Street hits a deathjump smash and then mounts the corner for a second but Rogers is able to shake the ropes sending Street crashing to the mat. Both men are starting to fatigue and the momentum goes back and forth. Rogers finally connects with back to back dropkicks and then hooks the leg for two (R10/P5). Street comes back but Rogers is able to power out of a firemanβs carry throat drop and takes back over on offense. The Nature Boy plants Street with a piledriver a few moves later and gets the three count (R6/P6). This was my favorite match to play out so far. The action is picking up. Up next.... Blackjack Mulligan (23) v. Magnum TA (42)
