Thank you to everyone who has followed along so far and to those who have taken the time to post feedback.
Lou Thesz (2) v. Bobby Eaton (63) w/Jim Cornette
The second half of the draw opened up with an interesting match-up between front runner Thesz and darkhouse Eaton who has gone deep into the tournament in the past. Thesz presses the attack early on and a spinning neckbreaker (ch) gets a one count (R10/P3). This one is all Thesz both in and out of the ring with holds, counters and dropkicks. A THESZ PRESS leads to another one count (R10/P6) before Thesz moves to a double wristlock for another near fall (R6/P5). Another double wristlock and Thesz puts Eaton to the mat for two (R10/P6). Thesz runs Eaton into the ring post during a brawl on the floor and then takes the match back to the ring and hits a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP. Cornette is able to distract Thesz saving Eaton from defeat. Thesz continues to look unstoppable. A stepover toehold facelock has Eaton on the verge of submitting when Cornette jumps into the action and smashes Thesz with his tennis racket. The referee calls for the disqualification. Thesz quickly regains his feet and airplane spins Cornette much to the pleasure of the fans at ringside.
Up Next . . . George Hackenschmidt (31) v. The Crusher (34)

Yeah, Cornette saw the writing on the wall... No way Eaton was getting out of that mess alive... Too bad he didn't manage to injure Thesz and knock him out of the tournament... Would like to see someone lower in the seeding come out on top in the end... Unless it's Andre... Andre ALWAYS deserves to win ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I had a feeling Jimmy would be getting involved. He paid for it. The next match is a toss up for me. I can go either way.

I am glad everyone seemed to enjoy the post match treatment of Mr. Cornette.
George Hackenschmidt (31) v. The Crusher (34)
The old school brawler against the classic mat wrestler was featured in the next match. Add to that both menβs power and things could be very interesting. It is back and forth from the opening bell with neither man able to get the advantage. Once the match goes to ringside, Crusher is at home and takes control including a body slam onto the floor that nearly results in a count-out. Back in the ring, Hackenschmidt pushes back and maneuvers Crusher into a RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. Crusher is dead center in the ring and cannot get free (R2/P3). Snake Eyes bites The Crusher.
Up Next . . . Giant Baba (18) v. Dallas Page (47)

The tournament rolls on with some great action. I really enjoyed Thesz taking out Cornette. That was classic and well deserved. Hackenschmidt vs. Crusher may be my favorite match-up so far but snake eyes took out Da' Crusher. Danielson vs. Costello should have been a classic but the dice took care of that. I'm going with Baba over DDP in the next bout.

Although I fear his opponent may be too much for him, I'm gonna throw my support behind DDP... Would love to see him advance to the next round. BANG!

I think DDP needs to rely on hitting that DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere to get by Baba.

I have to back DDP in the next match. He has the Diamond Cutter for out of nowhere a couple of times. Go DDP! BANG!

Thanks for feedback cruefan68, Pariah, Count Necros and Nick_Nuke. Everyone seems to be hoping that DDP will take out Baba with a Diamond Cutter. Giant Baba (18) v. Dallas Page (47) The fans were on their feet for Page has he made his way to the ring through the crowd and he showed near fear of his much larger opponent. Baba made him pay however countering a head scissors and planting Page with a Russian legsweep. Baba covers for a 2 ΒΎ (R4/P3). A back suplex sets up a NECKBREAKER DROP but Page kicks out of the cover (R10/P7). It is all Baba with several boots to the face. Baba sets up for a Russian legsweep but Page counters with a DIAMOND CUTTER. 1, 2, kick out (R6/P5). The fans thought it was over but Page is back into the match. It goes back and forth. Page connects with a discus clothesline but cannot take full advantage. Baba is able to counter a figure four leglock (ch) and sets up for a Russian legsweep. This time Page thuds to the mat and Baba hooks the leg for the three count (R5/P5). Next up.... Bruiser Brody (15) v. Tyler Black (50)
