AMBER GERTNER: Amber Gertner here with all your Shimmer Women Athletes News and Notes. I am here live at the Shimmer Headquarters in Chicago Illinois and once again this program will address all things going on in the world of Shimmer Women Athletes.

It has been a busy few weeks for the management team here at Shimmer. First Shimmer and the National Wrestling Alliance announced the 2016 European Tour Dates. Shimmer will be holding four events over seas next year with dates in Germany, England, France and Italy. Be sure to check out ShimmerWrestling.com & NWA.com for further details. Shimmer Volume 55 featured the Kimber Bomb's defending the Shimmer Tag Team Championship in a two out of three falls match against the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew. The Wrecking Crew made it a clean sweep and as per a stipulation in the contract for the match the Kimber Bomb's will now have to work there way back into title contention. In other big news "Everybody's Favorite Girlfriend" Jessie McKay became the Number One Contender for the Shimmer Championship Jessie McKay had this to say following her victory over "The Punisher" Madison Eagles:

JESSIE MCKAY: At Shimmer Volume 55 I became the Number One Contender for the Shimmer Championship, and with Shimmer visiting my hometown of Sydney Australia I can't wait to become the Shimmer Champion in front of my fellow countrymen. Evie you better be prepared for the fight of your life because there is no way in hell that I won't be walking out of Australia as the reigning and defending Shimmer Champion

GERTNER: If Shimmer is anything it is always looking for ways to give the fans what they want. With that said Evie's first defense of the Shimmer Championship will take place Saturday June 20th, 2015 at the Allphones Arena in Sydney Australia as part of the joint Shimmer/NWA show. Don't worry Tokyo Shimmer Fans you haven't been forgotten. The June 14th Shimmer Show from the historic Tokyo Dome will feature the reigning Shimmer Champion Evie teaming up with Jessie McKay against the reigning Shimmer Tag Team Champions the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew of Lacey & Rain. Lacey and Rain had the following to say after hearing about this exciting match up:

LACEY: Once again Rain and I are your reigning and defending Shimmer Tag Team Champions. At Volume 55 we humiliated that team glorified jobber team of Kimber Lee & Cherry Bomb. Those to jobbers couldn't even pick up a single victory in a two out of three falls match. And how are Rain and rewarded? We get the chance to get our hands on the Shimmer Champion.

RAIN: That's right Lacey. At the Shimmer Tokyo Dome show you and will have the chance to prove to the world why we are the two most dangerous women in the Shimmer locker room. After we destroy Evie and Jessie McKay in Tokyo neither one will be in any condition for their match in Sydney. Speaking of Sydney Lacey and I could care less who Shimmer throws in front of us. Sydney Australia will see the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew take on and defeat any and all challengers. So Women of Shimmer who among you has the desire to step up and try to take these belts from us?

GERTNER: Strong statements from the current Shimmer Tag Team Champions. What I can tell you fans is that the Shimmer Tag Team Championships will be defended on both Australia shows and on night one Team Blondage of Krissy Vaine and Amber O'Neal will challenge for the belts. On night two Christina Von Eerie and MsChif will get their opportunity at the belts. Also in Australia Kellie Skater will return to the Shimmer ring following the injury to her tag team partner the legendary Tomoka Nakagawa. Kellie Skater had the following to say:

KELLIE SKATER: In Sydney Australia I return to the ring and I will have a tune up match before I get my hands on Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews. Ninja's I am coming for you and I won't rest until you two have paid for taking out my good friend and tag team partner Tomoka Nakagawa, and believe me when I say that Tomoka wants you two just as bad as I do.

GERTNER: I for one can't wait to see Kellie Skater back in action. Even though she isn't medically cleared to wrestle Tomoka Nakagawa has stated that she won't be missing the Tokyo Dome show for anything. Tomoka has asked for some mic time in Tokyo and Shimmer Management couldn't deny her request. What does Tomoka Nakagawa have to say? If you can get to Tokyo I highly recommend you get there. For those fans who can't be there in Tokyo remember all shows will be streaming live on NWA.com & ShimmerWrestling.com

Sara Del Rey defeated Saturyne via submission when she locked the masked Saturyne in the Cross Arm Breaker for the third time of the match at the 6:45 mark. Del Rey dominated Saturyne in this match as she looked to reverse her recent losing streak.


Regeneration X (Allison Danger & Leva Bates) defeated S'N'S Express (Neveah & Sassy Stephie) via count out when Leva Bates crushed Neveah with a diving mushroom stomp to the arena floor at the 8:47 mark of the match. The impact of the move drove Neveah head first into the arena floor where she laid motionless as the referee hit the ten count ending the match. Following the match Sassy Stephie revived her tag team partner and the two women left the ringside area as Regeneration X celebrated in the ring.


"Punk Rock Ragdoll" Heidi Lovelace defeated "Wrestling Goddess" Athena via submission when Lovelace locked Athena in the Love Lock at the 12:03 mark of the match. This back and forth match saw momentum constantly swing back and forth and Athena even kick out of two Frog Splashes before she tapped out to the Love Lock. The Punk Rock Ragdoll Heidi Lovelace even kicked out of back to back O-Faces at one point before she managed to roll to the arena floor and mount the late comeback that saw her force Athena to tap out in Tokyo.


"Super Hardcore Anime" LuFisto defeated Laura Phoenix w/ The Dark Menace via pinfall when LuFisto knocked Phoenix out cold with a spinning back fist at the 5:21 mark of the match. Phoenix dominated this match until LuFisto caught her coming out of the ring with brutal leaping kick. Back in the ring LuFisto caught Phoenix with the Burning Hammer for a near fall before hitting the spinning back fist for the victory.


"Sweet" Saraya Knight defeated "Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez via submission when she locked Martinez in the Knightmare at the 25:58 mark of the match and the Latina Sensation was forced to tap out. Martinez started this match strong out classing Saraya Knight for the first ten minutes of the match or so, but she couldn't keep Saraya Knight down in this match. Once the match began to spill to the floor Saraya Knight began to take control as she beat Martinez with everything she could legally get away with until they were back in the ring and Knight locked Martinez in the Knightmare for the victory.


Team Blondage (Amber O'Neal & Krissy Vaine) defeated MsEerie (Christina Von Eerie & MsChif) via pinfall when Krissy Vaine caught MsChif charging at her in the corner with a brutal running lariat at the 26:42 mark of the match. This back and forth match saw numerous near falls as both teams pulled out everything they could in order to win. Towards the end of the match MsChif and Von Eerie were in firm control when Vaine shocked MsChif with the clothesline for the victory. Team Blondage even connected with a pair of Blonde Bombs on both McChif and Von Eerie, but they couldn't keep either woman down either time they connected with the move. Following the match Team Blondage made a quick exit before MsEerie could fully process the loss.


"Future Legend" Cheerleader Melissa & "The Punisher" Madison Eagles wrestled to a double disqualification at the 9:34 mark of the match when both women started hitting each other with steel chairs while both women were brawling on the arena floor. The brawl continued as both women fought all the way to the backstage area as security tried to separate them. During the actual match both women countered nearly everything the opponent could throw out until both their tempers flared and both were disqualified.


Thunderkitty made short work of Daizee Haze when she locked Haze in the Sleeper Hold at the 3:23 mark of the match and Daizee Haze faded out as the referee raised her arm three times giving Thunderkitty the submission victory.


Jessicka Havok made even shorter work of Mia Yim when she connected with the Havokiller for the victory at the 0:25 mark of the match. Havok opened this match up with a two-handed choke hold that took Mia Yim to the mat before Havok connected with the Havokiller for the victory.

Before the Main Event of the evening could get underway Tomoka Nakagawa and Kellie Skater of the Global Green Gangsters came to the ring. Tomoka Nakagawa had her right arm in a sling as she was helped by Skater into the ring. Once in the ring Nakagawa grabbed the house mic she first cut her promo in Japanese before repeating it in English:

NAKAGAWA: Canadian Ninja's injured me and forced me to think about my future. Before the Ninja's injured me I was thinking of retirement. Now I won't retire until I have rid Shimmer of the Ninja's and once I am healthy again I am heading back to Shimmer to start that quest. The Ninja's made me miss wrestling in my home country for Shimmer and that is unforgivable. Ninja's your days in Shimmer are numbered.

Nakagawa and Skater then left the ring as the Tokyo Dome fans cheered them.




NON-TITLE CHAMPIONS VERSUS CHAMPIONS

Shimmer Champion Evie & "Everybody's Girlfriend" Jessie McKay defeated the Shimmer Tag Team Champions Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew (Lacey & Rain) when Evie caught Rain with the TTYL at the 14:25 mark of the match. The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew dominated most of the match as they isolated Jessie McKay in the early part of the match making quick tags before McKay mounted a brief comeback and tagged in Evie. Evie came in like a house of fire first hitting Rain with a brutal Yakuza Kick that sent Rain crashing to the arena floor. As Evie stuck her head through the ropes Rain caught her with a brutal right hand. Rain then got back in the ring and hit Evie with the Acid Rain before tagging Lacey into the ring. Lacey then hit Evie with a spinning wheel kick for a near fall before tagging Rain back into the match and the two hit Evie with the a brutal double team in the corner. Evie then mounted a comeback when Rain came off the tope with a splash and Evie rolled out of the way. Evie then hit the TTYL for the victory as McKay stood stunned in the corner. Following the match McKay left the ringside area as Evie celebrated the victory.

Team Blondage vs. MsEerie was quite the matchup... Von Eerie & MsChif had my support, but you can't win 'em all...

Woah! Brutally efficient work by Jessicka Havok!

Great main event action as well... Although I don't think McKay was too pleased with how the outcome came about...

Sunday June 21st Australia Show to feature an eight team
Mixed Tag Team Tournament.

A poll conducted on the NWA App asked fans in Australia if they would like to see a mixed tag team tournament on the Sunday June 21st show at the Allphones Arena in Sydney Australia an overwhelming 82% of the votes cast were in favor of this concept. To keep things interesting the NWA & Shimmer Women Athletes will be making the tournament a "Ladies Choice" affair. The women who take wish to take part in the tournament will choose their partner after they have been introduced in the ring. The NWA is flying in more talent who will just be able to make the show in case they are selected by the girls who chose to enter the tournament. The eight women involved will be announced on both NWA.com & ShimmerWrestling.com immediately following the June 20th show.

The National Wrestling Alliance and Shimmer Women Athletes wish all the best to the participants of this historic Tag team Tournament.

PART ONE OF TWO


Bruiser Brody defeated "King of Old School" Steve Corino via pinfall when he connected with the Jumping Knee Drop at the 6:21 mark of the match. Brody absolutely controlled this match as he beat the hell out of Corino on route to earning the victory with the Jumping Knee Drop. Brody even got away with blasting Corino with a pair of steel chair shots while the two men were brawling on the arena floor.


Saturyne defeated Laura Phoenix w/ The Dark Menace via pinfall when she hit Phoenix with a springboard cross body at the 15:36 mark of the match and the Dark Menace failed to distract the referee. This back and forth match saw both women control the momentum for long stretches. Saturyne dominated the early stages until she missed a suicide dive. Later in the match Saturyne eventually connected with the suicide dive that helped set Phoenix up for the springboard cross body block. The Dark Menace did get involved with the this match when he blasted Saturyne with his cane behind the referee's back, but it wasn't enough to keep Saturyne down in this contest.


2 Cold Scorpio defeated Nigel McGuinness via pinfall when Scorpio connected with a third Scorpio Splash at the 8:45 mark of the match. Scorpio did a great job of controlling the action in this match as he countered most of McGuinness' comeback attempts as he worked McGuinness into position for the three Scorpio Splashes.


Sara Del Rey defeated "Wrestling Goddess" Athena via pinfall when she caught Athena coming off the top rope with a lung blower variation at the 9:46 mark of the match. Athena dominated most of the match but was unable to keep Del Rey down despite hitting almost everything but the O-Face for a series of near falls before she went to the top rope and was caught with the lung blower for the loss. In the early stages of the match Del Rey caught Athena in both the Royal Butterfly and Cross Arm Breaker but after each move Athena made it to the ropes breaking the hold.


Tyler Black defeated "Big Rig" Brodie Lee via pinfall when he caught Brodie Lee with a Buckle Bomb at the 4:41 mark of the match for the shockingly quick victory in this highly anticipated match. Both men countered a lot of the moves their opponents moves until Black caught Lee with the Buckle Bomb for the only pinfall that gave Black the victory.


"Sweet" Saraya Knight defeated Courtney Rush via pinfall after she crushed Rush with a brutal corner dropkick at the 14:13 of the match. This back and forth brawl saw both women pull out all the stops as this contest went all over the ringside area as both women brawled back and forth before Knight finally took control and got Rush caught in the corner where she connected with the corner dropkick for the victory.


Head Rockers (Al Snow & Marty Jannetty) defeated the Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark Briscoe) via pinfall after Al Snow entered the ring and smashed Mark Briscoe in the back of the head with Head as Briscoe was covering Jannetty. After that with the referee distracted by Jay Briscoe the Head Rockers then connected with a brutal Head Shot into a Superkick that knocked Mark Briscoe out cold. The Head Rockers then made a quick exit from the ring as Jay Briscoe checked on his brother. Official match time 15:39. This match would have probably ended a lot sooner if the referee hadn't been taken out midway through the match when Mark Briscoe pulled the referee in front of himself as Marty Jannetty was coming off the top rope with a missile dropkick. As Jannetty was checking on the condition of the referee the Briscoe Brothers mounted a comeback that saw them control the remainder of the match.


Veda Scott defeated the "Punk Rock Rag Doll" Heidi Lovelace via pinfall when she connected with the Q.E.D. at the 18:37 mark of the match. Lovelace dominated most of this match, but she couldn't keep Scott down long enough to set Scott up for the Frog Splash which gave Scott the opening she needed to make the late match comeback. Once back into control of the match it didn't take long for Scott to find the opening she needed to put Lovelace away with the Q.E.D.
