ROUND ONE
BRISCOES VS S.C.U.M. (CORINO AND JACOBS)
Mark Briscoe got a 1 count on Steve Corino with the CUT-THROAT DRIVER. Jay Briscoe tagged in and the Briscoes gave Corino the SPIKE JAY DRILLER and Jay made the cover and Mark prevented Jimmy Jacobs from making the save as the ref counted 1-2-3 and sent the Briscoes into the semis.

AMERICAN WOLVES VS C&C CONNECTION
Eddie Edwards caught Caprice Coleman with a chin checker and made the cover and scored a 2 count. Davey Richards tagged in and gave Coleman the Alarm Clock. Richards would later give Cedric Alexander the Alarm Clock. A suicide dive and cover by Richards barely even got a 1 count on Alexander. Alexander was also kicked to death by Richards. Richards applied the Cloverleaf to Alexander but Cedric refused to submit. Edwards tagged in and gave Alexander the DIE HARD and still couldn’t finish the gutsy opponent. Richards caught Alexander in the ANKLE LOCK but Coleman made the save. Richards had Coleman beat with a suicide dive but then Alexander made the save. Richards gave Coleman another Alarm Clock. Finally, Edwards dropped Coleman with machine gun chops and made the pin to advance to the semis.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: AMERICAN WOLVES
HOUSE OF TRUTH (RHINO AND STRONG) W/ TRUTH MARTINI VS FUTURE SHOCK
Roderick Strong hit Kyle O’Reilly with the SICK KICK but barely even got a 1 count. Rhino tagged in and gave O’Reilly the GORE! And it was academic 1…2…woah he kicked out and Rhino was just stunned! Later, it was Adam Cole who felt the GORE! But then he kicked out at 1! Rhino speared Cole into the ring apron and Cole had to work to beat the countout. Strong tagged in and applied the STRONG HOLD but Cole still would not be beaten. Cole fought back and hit a FLYING CROSSBODY for a 2 count on Rhino. O’Reilly tagged in and gave Rhino triple butterfly suplexes and went for the cover and got a 1 count. O’Reilly got Rhino in the GUILLOTINE CHOKE but couldn’t get the tap out. Cole tagged in and just missed ending the match with the FLORIDA KEY to Rhino. Rhino came back with a spinning spinebuster and 1 count on O’Reilly. GORE! Rhino finally puts away O’Reilly as Strong prevents Cole from making the save.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE HOUSE OF TRUTH
WRESTLING’S GREATEST TAG TEAM VS YOUNG BUCKS
Shelton Benjamin hit Matt Jackson with a corner splash and made the cover and scored a 1 count. Benjamin also got a 1 count on Matt with the PAYDIRT. Charlie Haas tagged in and Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team went to the LEAP OF FAITH on Matt and Haas could barely even get a 1 count out of it. The HAAS OF PAIN just missed putting Matt away. Another HAAS OF PAIN forced Nick Jackson to make the save. The ref put Nick back into the corner, allowing Benjamin and Haas to double superplex Matt. Haas made the cover and got the 3 as Benjamin made sure Nick couldn’t make the save.

SEMIFINALS
BRISCOES VS WRESTLING’S GREATEST TAG TEAM
The Briscoes connect with the SLINGSHOT LARIAT and Jay cover Shelton Benjamin and gets a 2 count. A brutal suplex from Mark Briscoe scores a 2 count on Benjamin. A splash on the concrete floor by Mark and Benjamin has to beat the 10 count to get back into the ring. Jay tags in and delivers the JAY DRILLER to Benjamin and gets the 3 count as Mark cuts off Charlie Haas.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE BRISCOES
AMERICAN WOLVES VS HOUSE OF TRUTH
Death by Roderick got a 1 count on Davey Richards. Strong with the SICK KICK to Richards and scored a 1 count. Rhino tagged in and gave Richards a spinning spinebuster and made the cover and scored a 1 count. The STRONG HOLD could not put Richards away. A spear outside the ring and Richards had to beat the countout. The SICK KICK by Strong and Eddie Edwards had to make the save. Rhino tagged in and gave Richards the Death Valley Driver and scored a 2 count. Strong tagged back in and applied the STRONG HOLD and still couldn’t end Richards. Rhino tagged in and GORE! 1-2-3 as Strong cut off Eddie Edwards.

THE BRISCOES VS THE HOUSE OF TRUTH
A brutal suples, a cover and a 3-count and Mark Briscoe beats Roderick Strong while Jay Briscoe keeps Rhino from making the save.

Excellent start to your ROH fed... House of Truth actually went farther than I expected, but couldn't get past The Briscoes... Although it wasn't much of a surprise finish, Jay and Mark well make for solid champs to kick things off... Nice work!

Admittedly, I am not well educated on ROH but I do know of the Briscoes and the Wolves. |

Admittedly, I am not well educated on ROH but I do know of the Briscoes and the Wolves. I'm in the same boat, my friend. I know very little about the majority of the talent in the Indy feds... Doing as much research as I can online, while addin some creative touches of my own... And having great fun with it! |

QUALIFYING MATCHES
STEVE CORINO VS JIMMY JACOBS
The two members of S.C.U.M. complained that it was unfair that they had to face each other in a qualifying match and that this showed there was a conspiracy against S.C.U.M. Corino scored a 2 count with a diving leg drop. Jacobs came back and hit a deathjump and scored a 1 count. Corino came back and used a foreign object on his S.C.U.M. teammate. Corino followed up with the OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX and scored a 2 count. Corino followed that up with the OLD SCHOOL LARIAT and scored the 3 count. His celebration was short-lived, however, when it was announced that his first round opponent would be his other S.C.U.M. teammate Kevin Steen!
WINNER OF THE MATCH: STEVE CORINO
MIKE MONDO VS KYLE O’REILLY
The winner of this match would face Davey Richards in the first round of the ROH Heavyweight Title Tournament. There was a bit of momentum swings before the Mondo Facebuster scored a 2 count. O’Reilly came back with triple butterfly suplexes and a cover and 2 count of his own. O’Reilly was ablt to lock in the GUILLOTINE CHOKE but Mondo made it to the ropes to break the hold. Another set of triple butterfly suplexes and the cover 1-2-3—no Mondo just kicked out before 3. One final GUILLOTINE CHOKE and Mondo tapped.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: KYLE O’REILLY
ROUND ONE
DAVEY RICHARDS VS KYLE O’REILLY
Richards right away with a suplex on the floor and O’Reilly had to avoid being counted out. Davey Richards followed up with the Cloverleaf and was that close to getting the win. O’Reilly was then kicked to death and Richards made the cover and the 1-2-3 are you kidding me! O’Reilly kicked out! Richards followed up with the Alarm Clock and then applied the ANKLE LOCK and still couldn’t finish O’Reilly. Richards went back to the Cloverleaf and finally it was over.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: DAVEY RICHARDS
KEVIN STEEN VS STEVE CORINO
Jimmy Jacobs came out with his two S.C.U.M. teammates and said that the plan to conspire against S.C.U.M. has backfired since the ROH had now guaranteed that S.C.U.M. would own the ROH World and TV Titles. Steen locked Corino in a sharpshooter but Corino would not tap out. Steen ended it shortly afterwards with the PACKAGE PILEDRIVER.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: KEVIN STEEN
HOMICIDE VS TOMMASO CIAMPA
Homicide attacked Ciampa with a fork and followed up with DA GRINGO KILLER to end this one.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: HOMICIDE
SHELTON BENJAMIN VS RHETT TITUS
Benjamin hit a deathjump for a 1 count. Benjamin also got a 1 count with a power slam. Benjamin just missed ending it with the PAYDIRT twice. A third PAYDIRT still couldn’t end the match. A fourth PAYDIRT, however, did.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: SHELTON BENJAMIN
JAY LETHAL VS ADAM COLE
Lethal got a 2 count with a springboard DDT. Lethal ended it with Hail to the King.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: JAY LETHAL
EL GENERICO VS MICHAEL ELGIN W/TRUTH MARTINI
Elgin scored a 2 count with the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB. Generico Came back and got a 1 count with the Yakuza Kick. Generico went for the BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! But Elgin fought it off. Elgin came back with another SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB for a 1 count. Elgin scored a 2 count with the Deadlift Powerbomb. Generico came back with a suicide dive and then went for the cover but only got a 2 count. Generico followed up with another Yakuza Kick and cover and scored a 1 count. Generico hit a 450 splash and made the cover and scored a 1 count. Generico hit a corkscrew moonsault, made the cover and scored the 3 count as Martini could not make the distraction.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: EL GENERICO
EDDIE EDWARDS VS MIKE BENNETT W/MARIA AND BRUTAL BOB
Eddie Edwards got a 2 count with the DIE HARD followed up with the DIE HARD again and 1-2-3 and Edwards wins….no, the ref says only 2. Edwards thought he heard 3 and was celebrating but it was Bob who had slapped the mat and yelled 3, making Edwards release the pin prematurely. Edwards with another DIE HARD and again 1-2-3…no, only 2 as Maria had put Bennett’s foot on the ropes and the ref says match continues. Another DIE HARD and 1-2-3, no, yet again, this time Bennett does just get a shoulder up (the third straight time Bennett beat the pin by 1). Bennett comes back with the BOX OFFICE SMASH and held the tights as both Maria and Bob each held a leg and the ref counted to 3. (Of course, Edwards, with a pin of 2, rolled snake eyes. That’s the way COTGOnline be sometimes).
WINNER OF THE MATCH: MIKE BENNETT
Davey Richards came out and protested on the behalf of Edwards. ROH Commissioner James E. Cornett then came out and said that while he would not reverse the referee’s decision, he would give Richards a chance to right the wrong himself by making sure that Bennett and Richards faced off in the quarterfinals of the ROH World Title Tournament.
RODERICK STRONG VS RHINO
Like S.C.U.M. The House of Truth was more than unhappy that two of their members had to face each other in the first round. It looked like the STRONG HOLD would end it but at the last possible moment, Rhino grabbed the rope to break it. Strong hit the SICK KICK and scored a 1 count. Strong reapplied the STRONG HOLD and again Rhino reached the ropes to stay alive in the match and the tournament. A third STRONG HOLD still couldn’t get the job done. One more STRONG HOLD and Rhino was finally finished.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: RODERICK STRONG

Haha! Corino MUST be losing his mind at this point... No surprise that Steen knocked him out of the running...
El Generio with a BIG win over Elgin to advance... Nice work! (But, I guess that rules him out as TV champ... D'oh!) And a bit of an upset with Bennett defeating Edwards... Thought we might see both American Wolves in the quarters...
Strong vs. Rhino must've been quite the contest... No doubt Martini is not a happy camper...
A few surprises in round one which is never a bad thing... Steen is probably the favorite to win at this point... Looking good so far!

First of all...congrats to the Briscoes on ROH World Tag Champs! It seems like your tournament is exact opposite of the tournament I am running at the moment.
Secondly, not a lot of upsets IMO in the World tournament....Steen has to be the odds on favorite to win and I will go with him to win it all...or Jay Lethal.
