Kurt Angle (2 tokens) slaps on the ANKLE LOCK, and Sheik is in trouble! Nikolai Volkoff rushes the ring and clubs Angle over the back of the head with the Russian flag for the automatic DQ. Kurt Angle qualifies for the Royal Rumble, but is humiliated when Volkoff stands over him and waves the Russian flag in front of the booing crowd!
Winner: Kurt Angle by Auto DQ when Volkoff interferes


We get a cool video package of both Kevin Owens and Finn Balor training recently at the Hart Dungeon with Bret Hart, Owen Hart, and Davey Boy Smith.


* ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens trucks Finn Balor (8 tokens), hitting him with a piledriver on the ring apron and 3 consecutive POP-UP POWERBOMBs. Balor is down and needs help to the back after the match.
Winner: Kevin Owens wins with POP-UP POWERBOMB x 3, officially qualifying for the Royal Rumble.


* Demolition vs. "Young Stallion" Jim Powers and Koko B. Ware
Demolition destroy Koko B. Ware, never letting him tag out, and win with DECAPITATOR in under 2 minutes. After the match, they beat up Jim Powers just for fun.

Bam Bam Bigelow w Sir Oliver Humperdink vs. One Man Gang
Wild 4 star big man match! Bam Bam dominates early but Gang will not stay down! Gang fights back and has the match won with his 747 SPLASH (+2) when Sir Oliver Humperdink gets on the ring apron and distracts OMG! Bigelow fights back and wins soon afterwards with a ground shaking DIVING HEADBUTT!
Winner: Bam Bam Bigelow wins an awesome match over One Man Gang w DIVING HEADBUTT, officially qualifying for the Royal Rumble.


* ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
"The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase w Virgil vs. Claudio Castagnoli
With a grin on his face, the Million Dollar Man stands nose to nose with Claudio, and offers the Swiss Superman a fist full of $100 dollar bills in exchange for bowing out, and allowing Dibiase to advance to the Royal Rumble without a fight. Claudio stares at the money, then back at Dibiase, then back at the money, then back at Dibiase once more...

The crowd begs Caudio to say no!

Claudio looks at the crowd, reaches back and..............

shakes Dibiase's hand, accepting the money!

The ref rings the bell, and Claudio jumps out of the ring, taking a 10 count loss!

Dibiase laughs maniacally as the crowd showers him and Claudio with boos! "EVERYBODY'S GOT A PRICE - FOR THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN!"

Winner: The Million Dollar Man buys his way into the Royal Rumble!


* "Macho Man" Randy Savage w Sensational Sherri vs. "Leaping" Lanny Poffo
Poffo hits a slap and a back flip, sending Macho Man into a rage! An ax handle over the ringside barrier and FLYING ELBOW DROP finish the match in under a minute.
Winner: "Macho Man" Randy Savage w FLYING ELBOW DROP.


* ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Bryan Danielson vs. Kane
Bryan Danielson can do nothing to keep Kane down, and Kane wins after a 3rd CHOKESLAM!
Winner: Kane qualifies for the Royal Rumble with CHOKE SLAM.


The mysterious hooded figure is seen watching from the stands again...he crosses his arms into an X, and quickly disappears...


*MAIN EVENT
Hulk Hogan vs. The Grappler
An enraged Hogan is seeing blood, and goes right after the Grappler! Grappler fights back and puts Hogan down, but Hulkamania won't die! Hogan makes a comeback and wins with ATOMIC LEG DROP! The crowd comes unglued!
Winner: Hulk Hogan with the ATOMIC LEG DROP.

Hogan pushes the ref out of the way after the match and hits 3 more thunderous ATOMIC LEG DROP's on the Grappler, sending him out of the arena and out of the WWF on a stretcher with severe injuries! Hogan promises to do the same to Mr Wonderful, Cowboy Bob Orton, and Rowdy Roddy Piper!

*ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
"Mr. Monday Night" Rob Van Dam vs. Mankind
5 star brawl! Exactly what you would expect from these two dare devils! A bloody RVD (7 tokens) hits his FOURTH 5 STAR FROG SPLASH to finally keep Mankind (8 tokens) down for the count! The crowd gives both fighters a standing ovation!
Winner: RVD qualifies for the Royal rumble, winning with 5 STAR FROG SPLASH.


The mysterious hooded figure appears in the crowd again...he crosses his arms into an X and posts up in the nose bleeds.


The crowd erupts as Bret "the Hitman" Hart comes down to the ring in street clothes. He shows a clip of Kevin Owens defeating Finn Balor to qualify for the Royal Rumble, and then asks Kevin Owens to come to the ring. Kevin Owens comes out to a mixed reaction of cheers and boos. Bret Hart officially introduces Kevin Owens into the Hart Dungeon stable. They shake hands, then hug. Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith soon join them, and both welcome Kevin Owens onto the team.

* Kevin Owens w Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith vs. Marty Jannetty
KO brutalizes Jannetty, hitting him with 3 consecutive POP-UP POWERBOMBs before finally covering him for the merciful pin.
Winner: Kevin Owens with POP-UP POWERBOMBs.

The four Hart Dungeon members then leave together to a round of cheers from the crowd...


* ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
4 star match! The Wyatt family get run off by Moxley and Rollins after they broke up a pin after SPEAR, leaving Reigns (7 tokens) one on one with Bray (9 tokens), one more SPEAR and Roman Reigns is going to the Royal Rumble!
Winner: Roman Reigns qualifies for the Royal Rumble with a SPEAR.


A fired up Hogan searches for Andre the Giant throughout the locker room and backstage area, asking everyone who he runs into if they have seen Andre. Nobody has. Hogan continues his search, looking for answers....

HHH and Batista are seen talking in the Evolution locker room. HHH has a problem with Batista using his "I walk alone" music leading up to the Royal Rumble. HHH reminds Batista that his job is to make sure HHH or Ric Flair walk out of the rumble as champion. Batista reminds HHH that it was HHH who said every member of Evolution is fighting for their spot on the team. Batista reminds HHH that it was HHH who said no one on Evolution was safe from being replaced. Batista stares down HHH and says "that includes you, too." HHH grits his teeth in anger as Batista heads to the ring for his match...

* Batista vs. Timber, the Insane Lumberjack
Batista squashes Timber, hitting a spear, a jackhammmer and finally, BATISTA BOMB for the pin.
Winner: Batista with BATISTA BOMB.


The mysterious hooded figure is seen watching from the crowd again. Me makes an X with his arms and disappears into the crowd...


Hogan continues search for Andre in the back when he comes to Andre's dressing room door. Hogan barges in! Hogan looks everywhere, but Andre is nowhere to be found. Hogan notices some items thrown on the floor...he sees a Hulk Hogan 8x10 photo, ripped in half, along with a Hulk Hogan wrestling buddy torn to shreds. Hogan clutches both in his hands as he tries to make sense of it all. Then he sees it...something on the table. A business card. Hogan picks up the business card and reads it...

Hogan crumples the card in his fist and grits his teeth in anger as he mumbles "AAANNDREE!!"

The crowd erupts as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin makes his way down to the ring! Stone Cold has a problem with some comments Bruno Sammartino made a few weeks ago about some of the wrestlers getting automatic spots in the Royal Rumble. Stone Cold has a problem with Bruno saying Stone Cold needs a short cut to win the Royal Rumble and become WWF Champion. Stone Cold says "If you want to see Stone Cold and Bruno Sammartino in the ring together right now, gimmme a HELL YA!" the crowd erupts! Stone Cold calls Bruno out to the ring and invites him to clear the air over a beer.

The crowd feels the intensity as Bruno heads to the ring...

Bruno faces Austin, and says he will not take back what he said. Bruno says he respects Austin, but does not agree with the drinking, and he definitely does not agree with the swearing. Bruno says he will have to politely decline the offering of beer. Stone Cold says that if Bruno does not share a beer with him, there's gonna be a problem.

Bruno unbuttons his shirt and rolls up his sleeves...Stone Cold hands him a beer...Bruno pours the beer out onto the mat! The Rattlesnake bites with a STONE COLD STUNNER but Bruno escapes, and pushes Austin into the ropes and up into a BACKBREAKER RACK! Bruno heaves Austin over the top rope and out of the ring!

A stunned Austin can't believe what just happened, and laughs in disbelief as Bruno stands tall in the middle of the ring!


* ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Jake "the Snake" Roberts vs. Randy Orton
The Viper and the Snake battle in a chess match of wits and evil, taking the match outside of the ring several times. Randy dodges a turnbuckle charge by Jake and hits RKO for the 1-2-3!
Winner: Randy Orton qualifies for the Royal Rumble w RKO


The mysterious hooded figure is seen yet again, and this time, he is coming through the crowd, headed right to the ring!

IT'S CM PUNK!

CM Punk has not been seen in any wrestling ring since walking away from the business to train full time in MMA. Punk has his own mic, says no one will cut him off, and that it's pipe bomb time! Punk calls WWF "phony"

“Well, that’s another thing in that phony world. What does it mean to be a good fake wrestler? That’s an identity crisis that I think I struggled with. It doesn’t matter if you’re the best; someone else picks who they want in the top spot.”

Punk goes on to rip the guys back stage

“I’ve always been surrounded by guys who talked about it (going into MMA). Half of them talk about it; none of them do it. They have their little comfortable safety net doing WWE stuff, I guess. I would much rather give it a shot than just talk about it.”

Just then Punk is cut off by.........

BROCK LESNAR!

Lesnar is led to the ring by Paul Heyman. CM Punk is obviously super annoyed. Heyman takes the mic, and directs his attention to CM Punk:

Heyman: Good to see you Phil. (Punk cringes) I'm gonna call you Phil because I know how much you hate it. And also because I can no longer say I respect you enough, to call you by the name of the man I once knew as CM Punk. You come out here and have the audacity to call the very sport, and the very people who made you famous - phony? You have the audacity to come out here and crap on me, and everything I have ever done for you and your career? If it wasn't for "phony wrestling", you'd be a nobody, a nothing, a son of a drunk. (Punk is getting angry). Without all of this - you would never even be in the position to fail - and fail is what you will do - in MMA.

(Punk begins to roll his wrists like he's gonna punch Heyman)

You want to be an M-M-A fighter, do you? Well let me introduce you to another M-M-A fighter, my client, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, and FUTURE WWF World Heavyweight Champion - BROCK LESNAR!

Like a beast unleashed, Brock attacks Punk! Brock takes Punk down and busts him open badly! Punk is bleeding! German suplex! German suplex! German suplex! German Suplex! German suplex! German suplex! F-5!

Punk lying in a pool of his own piss, blood and vomit...

Brock locks on the KIMURA, snapping Punk's arm in two!

The crowd EXPLODES as a balling AJ Lee hits the ring! Brock grabs her by the hair! German Suplex! German suplex! German suplex! Another F-5!

Medics rush the ring and beg Lesnar to stop the carnage! Heyman calls off Lesnar, finally. Punk and AJ are strapped to stretchers and removed from the building, and the WWF, and pro wrestling, forever.

Our first match of the evening is a huge Royal Rumble qualifier, with bad blood between the opponents. Roddy Piper comes out first to his classic bagpipe music. Piper intimidates Finkle into announcing Superfly as Jimmy "Coconut Head" Snuka. Piper goads the booing crowd as the Fink cowers in shame.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka
Piper uses a FOREIGN OBJECT to bloody Snuka, then slaps on the SLEEPER HOLD and Superfly goes to sleep!

"British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith vs. King Kong Bundy w Bobby Heenan

Wow! Owen Hart hits a spinwheel kick that connects with Mr. Perfects' jaw and almost ends the match in one move! Owen locks Perfect in SHARPSHOOTER! But Perfect makes the ropes. Perfect gets a reversal and goes to town on Hart, finishing him quickly afterwards with an Indian Death Lock and PERFECT PLEX!
Winner: Mr. Perfect avoids an upset and qualifies for the Royal Rumble with PERFECT PLEX.


* NO DISQIUALIFICATION MATCH
Hulk Hogan vs. "Cowboy" Bob Orton
Hogan goes crazy! He pummels Orton, finishing him quickly with ATOMIC LEG DROP! But Hogan is not done! Hogan drags Orton outside of the ring and bashes his arm into the ring post over, and over, and over and over, and over again until a sickening CRACK! can be heard throughout the arena! Hogan breaks Bob Orton's arm! Orton wails in pain as he is helped to the back!
Winner: Hulk Hogan w ATOMIC LEG DROP.


* MAIN EVENT
ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Bruno Sammartino vs. "Superstar" Billy Graham w The Grand Wizard
5 star match that had the crowd on their feet the whole time! The match opens with a test of strength by Graham (9 tokens) that Bruno (6 tokens) wins! Bruno almost squashes Graham, but a timely distraction by the Grand Wizard helps Superstar get on offense. Graham almost wins with SUPERSTAR BACKBREAKER, but Bruno won't stay down! Bruno kicks out of a foreign object attack, wrestles the object away from Graham and lifts him up for BACKBREAKER RACK! A defeated Graham has no choice but to tap out!
Winner: Bruno Sammartino is the final entrant into the Royal Rumble, winning with BACKBREAKER RACK.

This is just awesome stuff!! Better than anything the WWE is putting out. Love the Bruno/Austin confrontation, that could definitely be an interesting feud. Already trouble brewing in Evolution?! Love the ending of RAW with Lesnar and Punk. Punk bit off way more than he could chew!
