*TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS SET TO BE CROWNED NEXT: On the same card #6, the first live Smackdown of the year, the first and second rounds of the WWF Tag Team tournament will take place. Match-ups include: The Road Warriors vs. the Outsiders, the Brothers of Destruction vs. King Kong Bundy & Masked Superstar II, Demolition vs. Powers of Pain (Warlord & Giant Bernard) and Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs. Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. *HOGAN RETIRES THE GRAPPLER/INURES BOB ORTON FOR 8-10 MONTHS: And Mr. Wonderful is next! Following the big sneak attack by Roddy Piper and his gang of thugs, Hulk Hogan has been on a revenge tour across the country! First, Hulk sent the Grappler packing and out of the WWF with injuries following ATOMIC LEG DROP multiple times after the bell. Next, Hogan bashed Bob Orton's arm into the ring post after their match, stopping only after Hulk broke Orton's arm in two! On card #6, Hulk Hogan continues his tour vs. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff! Of course, all of this leads up to the most anticipated match of all, a one on one match pitting Hulk Hogan vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at the Royal Rumble.
*HAS ANDRE THE GIANT JOINED THE HEENAN FAMILY?: As the Royal Rumble approaches, we have still not seen, nor heard from Andre the Giant. Hulk Hogan continues to try and contact his "friend", looking for answers when Andre failed to back Hogan up vs Piper and his gang. Making matters worse, Hogan found Bobby Heenan's business card in Andre's dressing room. Still, nothing is certain until Andre speaks for himself.

First things first, the Rock congratulates RVD on defeating the Rock on his way to winning KOTR and becoming WWF IC Champion. The Rock says the Rock and RVD will meet again one day. Secondly, he welcomes everyone in the audience to SMACKDOWN, home of the Rock, the Rock's show, and............the People's Show. And because it's the People's Show, the Rock is gonna give the people what they want, and that's a match pitting the Rock vs. any jabroni in the back with strudel big enough to accept the Rock's challenge! The Rock take off his sunglasses and challenges anyone in the back to come out and fight him in the historic first ever match on SMACKDOWN! ... ... finally, someone answers the challenge.......... It's the Honky Tonk Man, with Jimmy Hart! Honky shake, rattles and rolls into the ring and dances to the boos of the fans...The Rock acts really impressed, nodding his head along with HTM's music and claps as Honky dances...Jimmy Hart is excited that the Rock is having a good time...The Rock welcomes his opponent, and goes out of his way to compliment Honky on his style, his hair, and of course, his dance moves. HTM and Jimmy Hart eat it up. * Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. Powers of Pain (Warlord and Giant Bernard)Grueling, brutal match, and best match by far of the night so far. Warlord (7 tokens) and Bernard (4 tokens) dominate the first several minutes of the match, isolating Ax (8 tokens) and almost finish him with FULL NELSON, but Smash makes two crucial pin saves. The Demos come firing back with DECAPITATOR three times (!!!) and the crowd erupts when Warlord keeps kicking out. WWF Update/On the eve of the Royal Rumble *ROYAL RUMBLE LINE-UP IS SET! With the Royal Rumble only hours away, the line-up for the card has been finalized. 5 big matches are scheduled for tonight in the Summit. Here is a look at each match up: - Kurt Angle vs. Nikolai Volkoff - Kurt Angle is looking for justice after being clubbed over the head by Volkoff and the Russian flag a few weeks back. Adding insult to injury, Volkoff sang the Russian National Anthem over the fallen body of Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle is not the most popular wrestler with the fans, but the fans all across the USA are cheering him on vs. Volkoff! - WWF Tag Team Tournament Finals, Demolition vs. Brothers of Destruction - The Undertaker and Kane form quite possibly the most unstoppable team in pro wrestling history. Already, they have defeated the mighty Road Warriors, a tag team many fans rival even Demolition. Demolition was nearly eliminated by the Powers of Pain, but their relentless aggression and ability to take loads of punishment puts them in the finals. It's a classic battle of the immovable objects vs. the irresistible force! One team walks out with the belts, and their names in the history books forever! - WWF Intercontinental Championship, the High King, RVD (c) vs. the Ultimate Warrior - Big rematch from the finals of the King of the Ring, where RVD defeated Warrior to become WWF I-C Champion. Lots of bad blood between these two after the Warrior broke up RVD's coronation. Both men will also compete later that night in the Royal Rumble. - No Disqualification Match, Hulk Hogan vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper w/ Randy Orton - Tensions have reached a fever pitch between Hogan and Piper ever since Piper and co. jumped Hogan on Piper's Pit back on card #1. It's down to the Rock and Chris Jericho! The Rock electrifies the crowd with a spinebuster, ROCK BOTTOM, and finally the PEOPLE'S ELBOW, grabbing Jericho by the hair and heaving Y2J over the top rope and out to the floor! Winner:

What a Rumble for Batista, he took out the Undertaker, Yokozuna & Andre but The Rock wins it all. I like to see Batista get a title shot after such a impressive showing. A fun Rumble overall, sold stuff Swarm...
