lol the whole guys "backstage" bit. I guess they got their source who was backstage at the taping for this weeks Impact. Oh whats that? This weeks show was taped weeks ago and no one was "backstage" this week. Maybe they were talking to Universal employees who were hanging around the Impact Zone. To make sure my conscious is clear I must tell anyone who buys this at 100% true that the stories they read in the National Enquirer are not real news and made up for entertainment purposes only. Maybe they actually talked to the employees at home and just said "backstage" not to break kafabe, "It's still real to me." Yea cause it would have so destroyed it to simply say "talent". Maybe they did talk to some of the guys but I doubt it. They talked to one guy who MAYBE works for TNA and he said people were upset and since they do not need to name a source that is good enough for them. But if employees are upset they are as sad as the people who look at the whole thing as an attack on TNA. To me it is DA making fun of all the rumors going around. Not sure if you saw this but when the talk of DA having an escape clause and how Impact would be dropped in September many people were saying it was due to being wrestling and DA decided they did not want it. Well this thread shows that is not true. Speaking of the thread and getting back on topic, I hope the episode they showed this weekend is the one they are showing on DA this Wednesday as it was really solid. I think it is a good time for new fans to get exposed to RoH. I love love love LOVE how they built the title vs title match. Lethal laid the trap and Briscoe fell for it. When have you ever heard a World Champion talk about a contender "ducking" them. It is always the other way around.

Can't we all just be wrestling fans, agreeing to disagree on which company or companies we prefer??? No. If you don't like TNA, you're a sheep. Where you been the last 13 years? Hiding. From Little Bo Peep.

General consensus was TNA had a better show than ROH this week.

I wasn't too keen on this 'debut' of ROH, for being exposed to a new audience they open with a generic shouty rasslin promo and then the first couple of matches aren't anything special (I mean they're good but I watch ROH when I can and I didn't know who any of the guys were), and no mention of their new channel! The wrestling wasn't bad obviously, I was just expecting a big event for their debut and got a few standard (for ROH) matches.

That's because it was just a rebroadcast of their syndicated show that was taped well in advance of their new TV deal.

I watched the show last Sunday night so I can't remember who was doing the "generic shouty rasslin promo". I just can't think of anyone shouting in ROH.

General consensus was TNA had a better show than ROH this week. Well blame part of that on DA. I doubt RoH had enough advance notice to set up a real good show for their debut on DA. I do not think those at DA are paying attention to what is going on with the wrestling companies enough to help them. I mean if they had waited just one month to move Impact to Wednesdays TNA would not have to tape Impacts for post Slamm days BEFORE Slamm. Or at the least TNA could have forgone the "live" Impact before Slamm and did the taping during their last set. So yea between that and not giving RoH enough time to set up a good debut on their network I am not impressed with programmers at DA.

I am guessing he is talking about the Briscoes. They opened with talk of their tag match with HoT and Jay talking about Lethal "ducking" him. If you are new to RoH it did not make sense probably. But if you had been following some that is a GREAT promo. I LOVE the whole champion saying the challenger is ducking him. Shows that Lethal and Truth's plan is working to a T.

Yeah I meant the Briscoes at the start, I'm not dissing the promo or saying it's not cool, I thought this was a new TV show debut (I'm in the UK and ignorant to US TV scheduling/programming) and to a new audience, I would definitely think it come across just as some redneck rasslers shouting 'im gonna git you!', which to my mind is a terrible way to win over a modern audience with no idea of these characters. As I say, the shows content was good, but I thought this was a debut show and was expecting a somewhat grand event to win over new fans. My fault anyway for not really knowing what's going on!
