Proteus has struggled with more agile opponents but that would not be a problem in this match. Brute survives an early offensive onslaught and then takes control and hits a running clothesline and covers and gets a two count. Proteus comes back and gives Brute the OVERHEAD TOSS and scores a two count. Proteus followed up with a full power slam and cover but only got a one count. Proteus followed up with another full power slam to pin Brute but only for a two count. Proteus followed up with another OVERHEAD TOSS and scores the three count.

MASSIF 1-1 VS EXECUTIONER 0-2
Massif dominated early on as his agility advantage and not his power advantage was the key. He scored a two count with the Massif Power Slam. Massif followed up with a head butt and cover and scored a one count. A rookie mistake allowed Executioner to set up the HEADSMAN GUILLOTINE and just missed getting the three count. They fought back and forth before another HEADSMAN GUILLOTINE scored another two count. Massif came back and hit the VOLCANIC DROP but only got a one count. Massif followed up with another Massif Power Slam but barely got a one count. Massif stayed in control, however, and would hit another VOLCANIC DROP to finally get the three count.

THANTOS 1-1 VS MASSACRE 0-2
What an intriguing situation we have here! If Thantos loses, he falls to 1-2 right away! But, if Massacre loses, the Gladiators will be a combined 0-6 in the 2087 VX Cup Tournament!
Thantos went for a sunset flip but Massacre sat down and went for the pin and got a two count. Massacre quickly followed up with the MASSACRE SLAM and scored another two count. Massacre followed up with another MASSACRE SLAM and scored another two count. Massacre then followed up with the DECAPITATOR and scored another two count. Thantos fought back and hit the Satanic Skull Smasher and scored a two count. Thantos followed up with a sleeper hold but Massacre reached the ropes to break the hold. After a few minutes of back and forth, Thantos slapped on the MASTERLOCK and Massacre had to submit.

COMRADE TERROR 2-0 VS COMMANDER SAM 0-2
This blood feud makes its way to the 2087 VX Cup Tournament!
Terror right away goes on the offensive and locks in the Comrade Neck Clutch but Sam is able to hold on and escape it. Sam comes back and hits the Peacemaker slingshot and makes the cover and gets a two count. Sam reverses a sunset flip and gets a two count there as well. Terror counters a skullcrusher and locks in the Comrade Neck Clutch again and just misses getting the submission. Terror follows up with a deathjump and a cover and gets the three count.

STAR WARRIOR 2-0 VS KILLER QUEEN 1-1
The Cosmic Punk shocked the galaxy when he pinned Thantos in Round Two. Could he do it again?

Star Warrior makes quick work of Killer Queen, scoring the pin after a karate chop.

WOLF 2-0 VS INVINCIBLE KRAKAN 1-1
A top notch matchup for such an early round as Krakan must now run the gauntlet of Wolf, Thantos and Star Warrior.
Wolf tries to end it in just two moves with a face rake but only gets a one count. Krakan quickly turns it around and hits the FALLING FACE SLAM and scores a two count. They fought in and out of the ring. Krakan hit another FALLING FACE SLAM but only got a one count. Krakan followed up with another FALLING FACE SLAM and got the three count.

ACTAGON 2-0 VS RENEGADE 1-1
Tag team specialists clash in this intriguing third round match that has the scientific excellence of the Greek God meeting the out of control brawling style of the Neptunian.
It doesn't take long for Renegade to lock on the SPINECRACKER but Actagon breaks away before having to submit. Actagon comes back and gets a two count with a flying skullcrusher. Renegade comes back and gets a one count with the Cropper Slam. Renegade then gets the pin following a shoulder breaker.

LORD NEXUS 2-0 VS EXO-KING 1-1
The third round ends with the Lord vs the King. Speed vs power.
Both men used their power and agility advantages to turn the tide and then King caught Nexus in a reverse backbreaker but could not get the submission. Though Lord Nexus would get some offense in, Exo-King was controlling the big moves and got a one count with a flying body crusher. A bit later, and another flying body crusher gained another one count for the King of the GWF. Exo-King followed that up with the DEATH VISE and got the submission.
