Out of curiosity, does anyone have an in-depth booking chart that they'd be willing to share? I have a self-made one that I currently use, but I'm always seeking options that could improve my game...

A lot of my ideas for angles and such have come from a number of places as everyone else has said.
I have had a few ideas in mind that actually took many, many cards to play out like what happened with Gorgeous George and Bruiser Brody in N.E.W. or the idea that I had when I paired Tyler Black with Austin Aries that there would eventually be a split and feud. Getting the new Tyler Black card made me want to do that so much faster than I had originally planned, I'll admit.
I've gotten a number of ideas from real wrestling. Mostly from the past as I watch very little modern stuff.
Also, a few ideas have come straight from left field/out of the blue.
An example of that was my pairing of Ox Baker and Necro Butcher as the tag team "Pain & Suffering". I simply wanted to use both of those cards but had no better idea in mind for what to do with them, so... they became a tag team. That quickly lead to me thinking "How neat would it be to make them feud with the Road Warriors?" and I was off to the races.
Dice rolls have made angles that I wanted to do come early once or twice and even get scrapped entirely in the past, as well.
The dice are a powerful tool.
In the end, though, I like to use my own imagination more often than not, as I've long had it in mind that I could book a better promotion than a lot of what I've seen on TV in the real world. Sometimes, though, I see what you other promoters are doing and I get a little self conscious.
There's some seriously good stuff going on in this community.

Like everybody else, I take influence from a variety of sources. My last big angle was ROH vs CZW, I took some elements of that from the feud between the actual two and just expanded it from there. If I see something another promoter has done, I might "borrow" it and try it out in my fed. Which reminds me I really need to get back into my feds, I have just been way busy.

You have to look at the first six months as figuring out where all of your pieces go. Those early months are about figuring out how your set of guys are going to generally perform for you. The trick to a good fed is to know and build your next challenger to get to the next feud. This is very true. I have recently started playing the game and am only in week 7. I started with a tiny roster of 20 but it has been necessary to add talent as I am trying to find the next challenger for my World Title. I pretty much bought up every LOW and LOTF set that was available so it took me a while to even decide on a roster. I tried to randomize my initial draw, but wasn't happy with it so then tried to 'bid' for contracts. I think i've ended up with a mix of guys I really wanted (Brody, Adrian Street, The Vachons, Harley Race, RVD, Gordy) guys I thought would be fun (Poffo, Jim Powers, The Killer Bees, Tiger Mask) and some guys I don't know what to do with (Missing Link, Greg Valentine.) it's so tempting to chop and change at this early stage, but I am determined to stick with what I have for now. I have already fleshed out to 24 full time guys and a few 'attractions'. I owe a lot to this wonderful community who have provided a source of information as well as inspiration. Thank you!

Well nothing wrong with a lil chop and change. I just set my roster for the 4 old school feds I am running and already went through and pulled some as I am planning on adding some soon. If going for a more realistic fed feel that actually fits. Many times a guy would show up and suddenly disappear. Be it injury or falling out with ownership. I do not get as sophisticated as some with limiting roster size or bidding for contracts. I just make sure I have plenty of guys to be in the title picture, a few extra story lines and a few guys to job to the top guys. Some of the vets I try and give a chance but if I did not watch them I tend to have less a connection and they just do not entertain me so I pull them and replace them with someone that will. My biggest issue is trying to fit to many guys into a fed and not having enough room on cards for them all.

My biggest issue is trying to fit to many guys into a fed and not having enough room on cards for them all. Definitely feel your pain... Always on the hunt for ways to remedy this... Including factors similar to those you stated earlier (injuries, disputes with management, on loan to another company, etc.)... In the not too distant future, I plan to introduce a new element to my OutBreak fed that should help alleviate this problem in a big way...
