Definitely feel your pain... Always on the hunt for ways to remedy this... Including factors similar to those you stated earlier (injuries, disputes with management, on loan to another company, etc.)... In the not too distant future, I plan to introduce a new element to my OutBreak fed that should help alleviate this problem in a big way... A black hole pops up and swallows a bunch of them? Haha! You're thinking of a Stephen King novel now, I think...

They would all just push things into the hole to get rid of it. It just would get bigger and bigger. I think it was named Honey Boo Boo

There's a limit? Hmmmmmm, I guess maybe one day I will follow that, but I haven't yet.

Yep. It is when you have too many guys on the roster and not enough room on cards to give them all time.

My biggest issue is trying to fit to many guys into a fed and not having enough room on cards for them all. Definitely feel your pain... Always on the hunt for ways to remedy this... In the not too distant future, I plan to introduce a new element to my OutBreak fed that should help alleviate this problem in a big way... Run it like a territory. If you have an idea for a guy use him and once you're done with him just don't use him until you have another idea. That's how I run my giant indy. Guys come and go as I have ideas for them. I have guys I'll always use and that becomes the core group and then guys come and go as I have need of them. Colt came in, did a program with Steen, lost and he's gone because I don't have a use for him. Jigsaw lost the TV Title to ACH and I might keep him around but he might also disappear for a few months.

Actually it is the guys moving from company to company is the reason I put my other feds on the side and started my more old school feds. The problem is I have a bunch of guys I like and ideas for them. Not all are big plans but just small feuds or what not. Obviously I just need to put some on the back burner as I can not have 20 matches every "week" but damn that is hard. I am like an impatient kid when it comes to that lol

Yep. It is when you have too many guys on the roster and not enough room on cards to give them all time. I always envision my fed as being only the televised shows of the promotion, so in my mind there are tons of other shows going on in which people we don't see on a lot of cards still get work. Maybe I'm strange for looking at it like that, though. I have been accused of being strange before....

So many different levels of play you can do. I tend to focus on more of what is in front of me ie the "televised" cards I run. In the past I thought like you do. My real issue is having so many "employees" in a fed but not really using them. Because I try and rotate them in and sometimes I am switching guys on cards too much and the flow of feuds is not good including sometimes being forgotten for "weeks" or even "months" at a time.

You'd see the bumpers for the local shows and a lot of those guys were rarely if ever on TV. All Japan worked the same way too. They had shows almost every day during tours and only 4 of those dozens of matches made it on TV weekly. A guy might come in like Lizmark in 1984 and work 12-15 matches and only make it on to TV once or twice. Jumbo, Baba, Kabuki and Tenryu were the guys showing up on TV every week.

I'd like to think that I was going for an 80s feel to my fed the whole time, but I also think I should have been a little more up front about that in the early days of New Era Wrestling.
Either way... that's how I run my stuff.
