Truly impressive victory for Homicide... Was really hoping to see A-Double go a long way, but Kyle O'Reilly of one helluva competitor... Really enjoying the tournament so far!

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, I appreciate it!
Pariah, I too was really hoping to see Aries make a long run in the tournament, but the dice were just against me in Week 2. Not a single one of those matches ended the way I wanted it too (well, I was honestly fine with either Hero or Ciampa, but....) Daivari eliminating Biff was the biggest kick in the nuts for me!

Daivari eliminating Biff was the biggest kick in the nuts for me! Yeah, that outcome was pretty wack... Whenever I feel someone in my OutBreak fed really NEEDS a win, I put them against Daivari... LOL!

911Wrestling.com Report Championship Wrestling SPIKE Week 3 1) Trent Barreta vs Colt Cabana {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Two guys who weren't ever really given a chance during the time they spent in "the fed" getting another shot in the big time. This started out as a comedy match, and a good one at that. The crowd was into it, and both guys more than held their own. Trent finally had enough of the shenanigans and went to work on Cabana and both men were able to show what they could do when it came to wrestling as well. A picture perfect top rope frankensteiner and the Gob Stopper were enough for Barretta to pick up the victory. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Trent BarrettaBackstage, Drew Galloway cuts a fired up promo about how he may have been the chosen one, but now he will be the champion. We are then taken to a video package showcasing the aerial antics of his opponent in the main event, AR Fox.2) Tommy End vs Cedric Alexander {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Man, I would have loved to see these guys get more than eight minutes! For anyone who had never seen Tommy End before tonight, they only got a taste of what the man is capable of as he beat Cedric Alexander senseless in the opening minutes of the match. Alexander was finally able to muster some offense after cracking End with an enzuigiri that echoed across the building. From that point the contest was more back and forth, and Alexander was finally able to secure the victory after planting End with a tornado DDT. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Cedric AlexanderBefore the commercial break, we cut backstage where we see Zack Sabre Jr. who is competing in the next match throwing European uppercuts into a heavy bag. Someone knocks on the door and tells him "it's time" he nods, grabbing his jacket and heads for the ring.3) Drew Gulak vs Zack Sabre Jr. {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} It will be interesting to see what the reaction to this match is amongst the differing fan bases. This was a technical masterpiece with some absolutely brutal strike exchanges interspersed, and I would assume that nothing like this has been seen by most of the people who are watching this show. The European uppercuts that were being thrown were particularly vicious, especially the charging corner uppercuts from Sabre that looked like they were shifting the ring. Both men were applying submissions that were drawing groans and sharp inhales from the crowd, and Sabre connected with a Penalty Kick to the back of Gulak that caused a "Holy Shit" chant to break out. Gulak hit a German suplex, and was attempting a second one, but Sabre reversed the waistlock, hooked a full nelson, and plowed Gulak with a Dragon Suplex for the 1,2,3. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Zack Sabre Jr.4) Drew Galloway vs AR Fox {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} AR Fox came flying across the ring as soon as the bell rang and hit a somersault lariat on Galloway that put him down. Fox was quickly up top and hit a beautiful 450 splash that only got two. Fox took some time positioning the much larger Galloway on the turnbuckle and then attempted Lo Mein Pain, but was met with a brutal kick as he leaped toward the turnbuckle. Galloway then slowed everything down and took charge of the match nearly putting away Fox multiple times. Fox mounted a comeback, and attempted a spectacular imploding 450 splash, but he crashed and burned on the attempt and Galloway simply picked him up, planted him with the Double Arm DDT and covered him for the victory. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Drew Galloway

911Wrestling.com Report Championship Wrestling SPIKE Week 4 The show opens with Jay Briscoe backstage delivering a verbal beat down to his opponent Michael Elgin that keeps the censors on the edge of their seats. Briscoe promises that Elgin is going to find out what Manning Up is all about.1) Jay Briscoe vs Michael Elgin {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Someone apparently forget to tell Briscoe and Elgin that "wrestling is fake" as these two beat the holy hell out of one another. Just a brutally stiff back and forth contest that saw both men devastate one another with high impact moves, huge strikes, and some hardcore brawling on the floor. Briscoe managed to press slam Elgin, then catch him in a Death Valley Driver that nearly got the win. Elgin retaliated with a lariat and an Elgin Bomb, but Jay kicked out at 1. Another Elgin Bomb saw Briscoe kick out at 2. Briscoe was able to come back, and connect with the Jay Driller, but Elgin got a foot on the rope. The fall finally came when Elgin connected with the Avalanche Elgin Bomb and covered Briscoe for the 1,2,3. After the match, the two exhausted competitors shook hands as the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Michael ElginWe are taken to a video package of the behemoth Brian Cage working out and getting ready to compete. He is lifting weights bigger than most men, and flipping over monster truck tires and other crazy feats of strength. The words "F'N Machine" show up at the end of the video.2) ACH vs Timothy Thatcher {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Before tonight only a handful of people had heard of Timothy Thatcher, but come tomorrow, he will be the guy the message boards are talking about. While it sucked to see a guy as talented as ACH get so little offense, he was the perfect guy to make Thatcher look like the technical monster he is. From the opening lock up Thatcher tied ACH in some of the most painful looking submissions one could think of, and worked his arms and wrists in ways that made them look like they were breaking. ACH fought valiantly, but Thatcher was unrelenting and finally hooked on the Thatcher Stretch after a solid eight minutes of torture and secured the submission victory. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Timothy ThatcherWe cut backstage where Eddie Edwards gives a quick word on his way to the ring, saying that last time we saw him he was making an Impact in the tag team division, but tonight it was time for Eddie Edwards to stand on his own.3) Eddie Edwards vs Brian Cage {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} This was a good match that had the bad fortune of a coming after a great match and a one sided ass beating that looked absolutely legit. Cage nearly ended it in seconds, coming out of the corner with a discus clothesline that almost ripped Eddie's head off. Edwards was able to come back and control the mid portion of the match by grounding the larger Cage. The crowd did come alive when the mammoth Cage hit a lionsault out of nowhere, and then later lifted Edwards off the apron from the middle turnbuckle held him for a good ten seconds, and then splattered him all over the mat with a superplex. Cage finally put Edwards away with the Weapon X just before the twenty minute mark. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Brian Cage4) Matt Sydal vs Roderick Strong {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} It would appear the show was running a little short on time as this one only went about three minutes. Strong jumped Sydal before the bell, worked him over for a bit, and then hit some nasty back breakers. Roddy plowed Sydal with the Sick Kick, but only got two. Strong placed Sydal on the top rope for a superplex, but Sydal fought him off, and then shoved him off the turnbuckle. Sydal stood up and hit his always amazing Shooting Sydal Press and got the pinfall. Winner, advancing to Round 2: Matt Sydal

911Wrestling.com Report Championship Wrestling SPIKE Week 5 The night kicks off with a video package recapping the first round of the CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament. We then get a montage of the 16 remaining competitors, and a graphic telling us that Round 2 begins now!!1) Cedric Alexander vs PJ Black {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} This was by no means a five star technical classic, but man was it a ton of fun. Both guys were just flying all over the place, throwing out spin kicks, and generally wowing the crowd. Black connected with a 450 Splash mere minutes into the contest that everyone thought was the end, but Cedric kicked out at 2 and 99/100ths. Cedric blasted PJ with a Kick to Kill that looked like it killed him, but Black was able to get his foot on the rope. The end came when Black shoved Alexander off the turnbuckle while he was attempting a superplex, and then connected another 450 for the win. Winner, advancing to Round 3: PJ BlackWe go backstage where Johnny Gargano talks about his upcoming match with Homicide, and finally having a chance to show a world wide audience why he is the Cat's Pajamas, the Bee's Knee's, the Whole Shebang, and Johnny Wrestling.2) Timothy Thatcher vs Sheik Daivari {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} This match opened with Daivari slapping Timothy Thatcher in the face. Thatcher stared him down and Daivari went for it again, but Thatcher caught his arm took him down and began to wrench that arm in directions that it isn't supposed to go. Thatcher was relentless, just working on the arm of Daivari with holds and submissions, and occasionally taking a break to bend his wrist back to the canvas and then stomp on his elbow. Daivari was able to mount a bit of a comeback, but made the mistake of attempting a Camel Clutch, which Thatcher reversed and then went back to work. Finally, Thatcher was finished and locked on a Fujiwara armbar which had Daivari tapping the mat in agony. What a freaking showing from Thatcher. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Timothy ThatcherDrew Galloway and Michael Elgin are both shown in the back getting prepared for the main event. We then cut to Homicide walking toward the ring, as he is next!3) Homicide vs Johnny Gargano {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} The hard working Homicide that showed up against Adam Cole was back against Gargano and these two guys tore it up. Gargano tossed everything he had at the veteran, but each time Homicide used years of knowledge to counter him, and when that didn't work, he used good old fashioned cheating. Gargano nearly got 'Cide to tap out to the GargaNO Escape, but Homicide was able to reach the ropes. Eventually, Homicide was able to connect with an Ace Crusher that Gargano never saw coming, and then planted him with Da Gringo Killer to ensure his victory. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Homicide4) Michael Elgin vs Drew Galloway {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Holy Shit! What a war. This started off pretty even with both guys exchanging strikes and moves. Elgin surprisingly took control and beat Galloway from post to post. Galloway started to mount a comeback, but Elgin ran him down with a lariat, knocked him loopy with a spinning backfist and planted him with an Elgin Bomb, but Galloway kicked out at two. Elgin continued in control, hoisting Galloway up for a thirty count suplex, followed by another backfist and another Elgin Bomb, but Galloway got his foot on the rope. Elgin was in shock at this point, but he scooped Galloway back up and planted him with a third Elgin Bomb. He covered him for the One, Two, Thre...NO!!! Elgin was in shock and began arguing with the referee over the count. He yanked Galloway to his feet by the hair, and ripped off his elbow pad and called for the lariat. Galloway ducked it and nailed Elgin with a big boot, then hooked and dropped him with the Double Arm DDT. Galloway was too tired to cover right away, and by the time he did, only got one. Galloway would hit a second one, that Elgin would kick out of at the last second moments later. The end finally came when Galloway hit the Scot Drop and cradled Elgin for the pinfall. Both exhausted men shook hands to a standing ovation from the crowd. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Drew Galloway

By eliminating Elgin, Galloway has placed himself as a front runner to take this whole thing... Gargano dropping out is a bit of a shame, but Homicide is a fierce competitor...
Of the matches remaining in round two, I'm most looking forward to Sydal vs. Sabre Jr... Should be a spectacle...
Personally though, I still think AJ Styles is the man to beat... Great stuff!

911Wrestling.com Report Championship Wrestling SPIKE Week 6 Championship Wrestling SPIKE begins this week with the ring announcer introducing the newly appointed Public Face of the Board of Director's, former ECW World Heavyweight Champion "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. Douglas announces that he will serve as something of a commissioner for the promotion, relaying information to the fans from the board of directors, and making on the spot decisions when they are necessary.
He goes on to announce that in two weeks, there will be a special extended edition of Championship Wrestling SPIKE being dubbed "CWS Inauguration" that will see the final three matches of the CWS World Heavyweight Championship Tournament as well as a Battle Royal to determine the brackets for the upcoming CWS World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Douglas went on to thank the fans and then called for the nights action to get under way.1) Kyle O'Reilly vs 2 Cold Scorpio {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Man, this was a one sided ass beating, but it may be the single most entertaining one sided ass beating I've seen in years. Scorpio started the match by slapping Kyle hard in the face and basically acting like he wasn't taking the kid seriously. Huge Mistake! Kyle went to town destroying Scorp with kicks, nearly submitting him to a brainbuster, then rocking his world with Axe and Smash. Triple butterfly suplexes, a brainbuster, and all kinds of other ass whooping continued the beating, and O'Reilly looked like a world beater tonight. The end finally came after Scorpio managed to reach the ropes while locked in ARMageddon, so Kyle just splattered him with another brainbuster in the center of the ring and then choked him unconscious with a guillotine choke. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Kyle O'ReillyWe are taken quickly backstage where Tommaso Ciampa and Brian Cage who are going to compete later in the show have already begun to fight in the locker room. A host of officials and other wrestlers rush in to break them apart. It would appear that we'll have a war on our hands later tonight!2) Matt Sydal vs Zack Sabre Jr. {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} WOW! Sydal and Sabre apparently decided that they weren't only going to try and steal the show, they were going to try and steal the whole damn tournament. Sabre went to work early keeping Sydal grounded and just grinding him with brutal strikes and submissions. A Penalty Kick looked to have possibly murdered Sydal, but he kicked out at 2 and nine tenths. Sydal finally shifted the momentum after leapfrogging a charging European uppercut attempt and leg lariating the head of Sabre most of the way off. Sabre was able to kick out of the Shooting Sydal Press once, but after being planted with a Here It Is driver, and enduring a second SSP, that was all she wrote. The two got a standing ovation after the match, and embraced in the center of the ring. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Matt SydalAJ Styles is interviewed and simply states that he is a man of few words and will let his actions in the ring speak for themselves and show everyone why many consider him to be the best wrestler on the planet.3) Brian Cage vs Tommaso Ciampa {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} This was just an all out brawl from the beginning with both guys throwing bombs, brawling all over the place, and generally trying to destroy one another. I thought more than once that we were getting a Double DQ for the finish. Cage planted Ciampa with his Weapon X and nearly secured the 3 count at one point, but Ciampa was able to clamp a hand around the bottom rope. Cage was able to kick out of Project Ciampa once, but when Ciampa planted him with it a second time after another massive brawl on the floor, the big man was unable to kick out and "The Sicilian Psychopath" advanced. Winner, advancing to Round 3: Tommaso Ciampa4) Trent Barreta vs AJ Styles {CWS World Heavyweight Title Tournament} Styles backed up his words from earlier in the night and put on another amazing performance like he has been doing all over the globe for the past several years. Trent was game, and had this match been on any other show that didn't contain Sydal/Sabre would have likely taken match of the night honors. Trent tossed virtually everything he had at AJ, but Styles was always one step ahead. AJ made several attempts at hooking on the Calf Killer, but each time Trent was able to either counter or reach the ropes. The end finally came when AJ plowed Trent with the Phenomenal DDT, then hit the Styles Clash for the victory. Winner, advancing to Round 3: AJ Styles

Incredible matchup between Sydal and Sabre Jr... Loved every minute of it!
No surprise that The Phenomenal One advanced... But, hat's off to Trent? as well... Great performance!
After looking over the results of the past contests, I'm also very impressed with Kyle O'Reilly... He could very well be the dark horse in this thing...
Can't wait til the quarter-finals begin... Awesome stuff!
