Less than 2 weeks til the premier... Stoked!
To those that plan to watch... Any hopes for the series?
I'm looking forward to a more urban setting than the original series... And I would like to see the writers continue to concentrate on the relationships among the living and less on their struggle against the dead themselves...
Regardless, I just KNOW I'm gonna love this show!

What I am looking forward to seeing is how everything begins to fall apart once the outbreak hits. In the original we are already weeks into the apocalypse before Rick awakens from his coma, so we can only assume how civilization reacts and ultimately crumbles.

Seeing all the promos for this show has me amp'd for this series, but it's only a 6 episode run this time out. I think it will do well, right now AMC has several shows not fairing that good like a favorite of mine in Halt and Catch Fire to Turn. Better Call Saul is a hit and The Walking Dead is truly a hit, so I think Fear needs to have success and will have it. I like that they're doing it in Los Angeles and it'll be fun to see how society in the TWD world falls apart...

I am excited for this series as it means even more Walking Dead, and this time around we get to see what happened when the Outbreak first started, which I think is a great idea.
If Fear does great it should start to run when TWD is on hiatus, giving us 8 Weeks of Dead, 8 Weeks of Fear, 8 More of Dead and finally 8 more weeks of Fear. Giving us 32 Straight weeks of the Dead Universe.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been out of the loop on stuff the past few months when moving and prepping for the con. Very much looking forward to watching this. I have to echo the others and say I am looking forward to seeing how things started off. Should be very cool.

I as well want to see the break down of society. It is an aspect that gets glossed over too much in dead movies. Sadly from the commercials it seems it will be a fast downward spiral. I would much prefer to see things go slow. Rumors running wild. People with their crazy conspiracy theories getting attention as things get weirder and weirder.
On top of that I think it would be cool if one of the docs from the CDC in Atlanta is in this. Either the one we actually saw a bit in season one or just one that was seen in his flashback talk. Perhaps leading to better explanation of the "walking dead gene" or whatever is in us and how it got there.

I was thinking about this just now. I don't want to see a walker until episode three. I want to see these people in their normal lives, day to day. When suddenly you start to hear these strange stories on the news and start reading things on the net. I also don't want these people to immediately know that they have to kill the brain of the dead. Similar to what on_the_edge said.
