Golden Horseshoe Wrestling - Road to the Gold Tour

Decide to reboot my Ontario Indy Fed. The fed will feature action based on the “Pure Wrestling Association” based in Southern Ontario.

Night one was a broken into two shows, an afternoon show featuring ladies action and an afternoon card headlined by a Rumble for the Pure Wrestling Title.

Card 01 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “Elite Women”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON – January 24, 2015 afternoon card

Elite Woman’s Title Tournament Round One

Madison Eagles v. Kellie Skater
This one ends before it really gets going. Skater forces Eagles to the floor after a seated abdominal stretch and then runs Eagles into the ringside table earning a disqualification. (dud)

Lufisto v. Courtney Rush
Some really entertaining back and forth action early on between these two Canadians that the fans really enjoyed. The momentum tipped in favour of Lufisto during a brawl on the floor. Diving Star Headbutts do the damage and Lufisto puts away Rush with a rear naked choke submission. (2.0)

Cheerleader Melissa v. Delilah Doom
Doom tries to get the fans behind her for motivation but Melissa shows why she is considered one of the best in the world and dominates the action from the outset. Doom shows some toughness surviving a KUDOH DRIVER but Melissa is relentless and later hits an AIR RAID CRASH followed by a KUDOH DRIVER and the fans are thankful this one is over before Doom is crippled. (1.0)

Mercedes Martinez v. Athena
Martinez has the advantage early on and nearly steals the win with a roll up. Athena reverses a whip on the floor and sends Martinez hard into the ring post. The referee lets the action continue and Athena capitalizes with an O-FACE for the win. (1.5)

Elite Woman’s Title Tournament Semi-Finals

Lufisto v. Madison Eagles
There was great pace to this one from the outset as the action when back and forth. Lufisto is well known for her brawling but “The Punisher” was just as game for trading blows on the floor and the fans loved it. Eagles began to step up her attack and picked up a near fall with a flying knee strike. Just as Lufisto appeared to be mounting a comeback, Eagles stunned her with an inside cradle to advance to the finals of the tournament. (2.5)

Cheerleader Melissa v. Athena
No one really gave Athena a chance in this one but she brought her A game and gave Melissa all that she could handle and then some. The fans thought Athena would get the win when she countered a backdrop with an inside cradle but Melissa escaped at the last second. Athena continued to dominate the action until it went to the floor where Melissa gets the advantage with straight right to the midsection. Back in the ring a KUDOH DRIVER is followed by AIR RAID CRASH giving Melissa the comeback win. (2.5)

Delilah Doom & Kellie Skater v. Mercedes Martinez & Courtney Rush
The competitors who failed to advance in the opening round were given another opportunity to showcase their skills in a special tag team encounter. The bout featured some solid back and forth action with all four ladies having moments on offense. Skater takes her Roo-Roids and fires up which the fans enjoy. SKATE AND DESTROY does not finish off Martinez however. Later, Doom gets herself in some trouble but survives a FISHERMAN BUSTER from Martinez but Rush tags in and finishes Doom with a top rope crossbody. (3.0)

Elite Woman’s Title Tournament Finals

Cheerleader Melissa v. Madison Eagles
There is long history between these two and the fans were ready for something special. Eagles is the clear aggressor early and looks to end things early after having battled through two rounds to reach the finals. However, she cannot find a means to get Melissa’s shoulders to the mat. Melissa mounts a comeback with her agility but she to is frustrated by Eagles’ defense. The end comes when Eagles avoids a charge into the corner and Melissa hits the buckles hard chest first allowing Eagles to roll her up and claim the victory. Madison Eagles is the first Elite Woman’s Champion of the Pure Wrestling Association. (2.0)

Card 02 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “Holliday Hangover”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON, January 24, 2015 Evening Card

Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx v. Johnny Yuma
The winner of this one is awarded the final entry into the championship rumble main event while the loser must enter first. The story in this one was Yuma playing the face in peril and Page the hated heel who cannot find a way to get the win. Yuma kicks out of several near falls and the fans get behind him before he mounts his comeback. At one point, Page hits a superkick followed by a HEADSHOT CUTTER but can only get a two and half count. Page cranks up the heat using a chair on Yuma on the floor. The crowd pops when Yuma catches Page on the top of the corner and slams him to the mat. Back to back tornado DDTs get Yuma his only near fall of the match. Page hits back to back superkicks followed by a shuffle driver to get the three count and earn the last entry spot in the Rumble. (2.5)

Mike Quackenbush v. Adam Page
Quackenbush is largely regarding as one of the best on the mat but Page turned some heads with a strong start in this one. RIGHT OF PASSAGE nearly wins it for Page. Quackenbush had just one opening and that was all he needed. Jig ‘n’ Tonic set up a QUACKENDRIVER IV followed immediately by QUACKENDRIVER III giving him the comeback win. (1.5)

Chris Sabin v. Josh Prohibition
Prohibition absolutely dominated Sabin from the opening bell leading up to not one but two DRUNKEN DRIVERS but Sabin was able to kick out of the cover both times. Prohibition kept the pressure on and the two battled on the corner with Sabin kicking Prohibition to the mat. It was the break Sabin needed as a deathjump smash was on target and HAIL SABIN followed for the comeback win. (1.5)

Nigel McGuinness v. Shaun Ricker w/Percy Pringle III
From the outset it does not look like McGuinness would last long in the ring with Ricker as the offense from Ricker is non stop and not countered. McGuinness survives the GRAVE TRAIN and D.T.B. before he catches a break with a series of forearms on the floor. The momentum completely switches as the Tower of London falls multiple times and there are plenty of lariats to go around. Pringle’s distraction saves Ricker from a JAWBREAKER LARIAT but McGuinness keeps coming and has Ricker likely beat with a swinging kick/downward lariat but Pringle pulls the referee out of the ring causing a disqualification. (3.5)

Zack Sabre Jr. v. Adam Cole w/Mia Yim
Cole works the crowd for heat prior to the match and then takes the early advantage. Corona Crush sets up PANAMA SUNRISE for a near fall. Sabre Jr. kicks out after a second PANAMA SUNRISE and Cole cannot believe it. Sabre Jr. starts his comeback getting the action to the mat. Back to back Penalty kicks look awesome and Sabre Jr. is able to trap Cole in a CROSS ARMBREAKER. Cole makes the ropes after Yim cannot cause a distraction. Sabre Jr. goes back to the CROSS ARMBREAKER and Cole submits. (2.5)

Bryan Danielson v. Matt Cross
The story in this one was Danielson taking a beating in and out of the ring. Cross was on fire tonight and was hitting everything but could not hit his finisher. Danielson had a brief moment on offense early in the match and tried to make it count with a quick transition to a CATTLE MUTILATION but Cross made the ropes without difficulty. Cross continued to dominate but gradually Danielson’s kicks began to land and he was able to counter a backdrop with a piledriver. Danielson finally had a break and he went to work on the mat with a series of TRIANGLE CHOKES and the CATTLE MUTILATION. Crossface chicken wing did some more damage before a TRIANGLE CHOKE ended the contest. (2.5)

Cheerleader Melissa & Lufisto v. Elite Woman’s Champion Madison Eagles & Athena
Despite being involved in action this afternoon, the ladies are back in ring in a showcase tag team encounter. Athena gets the best of Lufisto for a stretch mid way through the match but a deathjump crossbody is countered with a powerslam for a big near fall. Melissa gets into the bout and works over Athena in and out of the ring including a Samoan Drop and Kondo Clutch. AIR RAID CRASH ends it. (1.5)

Highlights
Huge pop for Lufisto as the fans are surprized to see a female in the match and she brings down the house with a low blow on Shaun Ricker on the floor and then gets a monster pop when she dumps Josh Prohibition. With each elimination, Johnny Yuma gather more and more support from ringside. Lufisto continued to rock the fans with her run and Chris Sabin received no love when he ended Lufisto’s night. Standing ovation for the Super Hardcore Anime. There were plenty of short term appearances. Page entered last and quickly starting taking a beating but a lucky break allowed him to backdrop Sabin from the match. Quackenbush was in trouble with just two left but was able to backdrop Page in the corner. Page hit the apron but rolled back into the ring. Quackenbush planted him with a QUACKENSDRIVER III and then tossed him to the floor to claim the win and the title. The MVP of the match is Lufisto who lasted the longest in the match (10 segments) and eliminated the most competitors (4). Honourable mentions go to Johnny Yuma (9 segments and 3 eliminations) and Rhett Titus (8 segments and 3 eliminations). It will be interesting to see if Titus & Yuma can carry on with their success when they team up as the After Party. (2.0)

Card 03 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “Winter Slam”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON, February 21, 2015

Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarius “TD” Thomas) v. Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)
Some really solid back and forth early on with both sides moving quickly and getting plenty of tags. Thomas gets cut off from his corner and the Bucks go to work with double teaming earning plenty of heat. MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK hits for a two count. The Bucks keep coming. Matt Jackson’s MOONSAULT nearly ends it but a springboard X-Factor from Nick Jackson does (2.0)

Matt Cross v. Josh Prohibition
The long history between these two competitors carries on tonight. Cross looks great early on but Prohibition gets an opening countering a backdrop with a piledriver. Prohibition immediately hits a DRUNKEN DRIVER and gets the win over his former tag team partner (Snake Eyes). After the match, Cross attacks Prohibition with a chair and leaves him in a heap in the middle of the ring (two card injury) (dud)

The After Party (Rhett Titus & Johnny Yuma) v. Bravado Brothers (Harlem Bravado & Lancelot Bravado)
The fans really enjoy the After Party and get behind them from the outset. They have some success as well with Titus hitting back to back MUFF DRIVERS on
Harlem Bravado for big near falls. Yuma gets cut off for a long stretch and is punished by the Bravado’s double teaming in and out of the ring. Titus saves his partner from Lancelot Bravado’s DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX and then Yuma gets the shoulder up at the last second after a GENTLEMAN’S APPROACH. Yuma gets the hot tag and Titus comes in on fire. Arm drag sets up another MUFF DRIVER to Harlem Bravado for the comeback win. (3.5)

Zack Sabre Jr. v. Chris Sabin
Sabin gets the early advantage and tosses his opponent to the floor. Sabre Jr. crawls back in and Sabin nails a CRADLE SHOCK for a big near fall and then crushes Sabre Jr. with a tombstone piledriver for the stunning victory. (dud)

Elite Woman’s Title Match – Madison Eagles v. Lufisto
What a match. Loads of near falls and plenty of action both in and out of the ring. The fans were solidly behind Lufisto but early on it did not look like she would last long. A running knee strike nearly took Lufisto’s head off. The First Lady of Hardcore drew on the support of the fans and made her comeback in a big way. Diving Star Headbutt connected twice and she also hit the BURNING HAMMER twice but could not get the win. The action spilled in and out of the ring and featured some wild brawling. Lufisto makes use of a chair on the floor and the fans eat it up. Eagles then catches a break and makes her own comeback including returning the chair assault on her oppent much to the displeasure of her fans. HELL BOUND but Lufisto gets the shoulder up and the fans explode. They go back to the floor and Eagles decks Lufisto with the Title Belt leaving her in a heap on the floor. The referee finishes the ten count and Eagles retains on a count out. (5.0)

Nigel McGuinness v. Bryan Danielson
Another pairing with some great history. This one likely shorter than the fans had hoped but it was action packed. The opening counters were flawless with neither man being able to find an opening. The fans ate it up. Danielson broke things open with a Yakuza Kick that lead to a TRIANGE CHOKE. Unsuccessful, Danielson moved to CATTLE MUTILATION but McGuinness made the ropes. Danielson made the mistake of rebounding McGuinness into the ropes and McGuinness rebounded with a REBOUND LARIAT for the three count. (2.0)

AC DC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin) v. Irish Airborne (Dave Crist & Jake Crist)
In the end, the quality of this one surprised some but perhaps not the outcome. Both sides have their time on top during the match. Cannon hits a BRAINBUSTER for near fall on Crist and later Corbin takes an IRISH AIR RAID and IRISH COFFEE but Cannon makes the pin save. A HEAD AND ARM TRAP DDT only gets a two count and the action continues. The action evens out with Cannon hot tagging in but Jake Crist joins his brother running spear/enzuigiri combo and then hits a German Suplex for the three count on Cannon. (4.0)

Pure Wrestling Title - “Lighting” Mike Quackenbush v. Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx
Page has some offense to get his heat and the Quackenbush takes over. Page takes a serious beating from this point including several Quackendrivers. Chain Lighting sets up QUACKENDRIVER III for the successful title defense. (1.5)

[Pariah]

The Elite Women's title match was an absolute blast, as we get to see the Punisher retain in brutal fashion...

Was hoping that #AllEgo would put an end to the Quack's title reign... And the Prohibition vs Cross encounter was a disappointment... Although the post-match assault built up some nice heat for their feud...

Very cool victory for The After Party (love that name)... And Irish Airborne went off like a bomb in a spectacular contest against AC/DC....

Things are rockin' in the PWA... Excellent work!

Card 04 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “Destiny”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON, March 28, 2015

Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarius “TD” Thomas) v. Ethan Page & Louis Lyndon w/Selezyia Sparx
Great heat for Page and Lyndon. Despite the fan support, ACH struggles out of the gate and Lyndon hits a solid looking super hurricanrana for the stunning victory. (dud)

Shaun Ricker w/Percy Pringle III v. Adam Page
Page is quickly gaining a reputation of being a difficult competitor to put away and that showed tonight as he survived an early onslaught by Ricker making a strong comeback mid way through the action including a RIGHT OF PASSAGE for a big near fall. Ricker mounted his own comeback after getting the best of the brawl on the floor. Page took an epic beating including multiple GRAVY TRAINS but in the end, the fourth GRAVY TRAIN on the match put Page away (2.0)

Elite Woman’s Title – Madison Eagles (ch) v. Allison Danger
The fans were all over Eagles from the outset and Danger went to work early. It was all Danger as the action went in and out of the ring. Danger picked up several near falls including hitting her finisher twice. Eagles managed to kick out after each time. Eagles gave Danger very few anxious moments as Danger was dialed in. The fans could sense a title change and really got into the action. Danger made use of a chair on the floor but the referee let the action continue. Danger picked up the win and the title with back to back SHIMMERING WARLOCKS. Big title change as we have a new Elite Woman’s Champion. (2.5)

Adam Cole w/Mia Yim v. Scorpio Sky
Cole works the fans for some serious heat but in the ring, it is Sky who dominates. Sky’s offense is impressive and fans show their appreciation. Blackout DDT is crazy good and Argle Bargle hits. Cole gets the occasional offensive move in but Sky had just too much tonight and picked up the win with an ACE CRUSHER. (1.5)

After Party (Rhett Titus & Johnny Yuma) v. Irish Airborne (Dave Crist & Jake Crist)
Dave Crist is in against Yuma and gets control leading to a shoot kick and moonsault double team. Titus gets the tag and looks to getting things going when Crist rebounds off the ropes and stuns Titus with a quick inside cradle for the win out of nowhere. The fans are stunned and the After Party cannot believe it. (1.0)

Nigel McGuinness v. Bryan Danielson
The fans were buzzing for this one and chanting at the outset. The story in this one was the epic beating that Danielson took. McGuinness wore out the American Dragon on the floor with a chair the fans were all over the referee. Four times the Tower of London struck. Some fans were calling for the match to be stopped. The action went back to the floor again and McGuinness used a chair once again on Danielson but this time the referee calls for the disqualification. McGuinness jars with the referee and does not see Danielson crawl back into the ring and Danielson is able to apply a TRIANGLE CHOKE. Danielson refuses to release the hold and officials flood the ring to separate the two. McGuinness needs assistance post match (2 card injury) (2.0)

Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) v. ACDC (Arik Cannon & Darin Corbin)
The Bucks absolutely dominated the majority of this one with plenty of double teaming. Corbin is able to kick out after both a MOONSAULT from Nick Jackson and MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. Cannon gets a hot tag late in the match but he cannot get anything going. Cannon manages to hit a Glimmering Warlock out of nowhere on Matt Jackson and both men go down. They get to their feet simultaneously and Cannon hits an inside out lariat. Cannon covers for the pin while Corbin cuts off Nick Jackson from making the save. (2.5)

Pure Wrestling Title Match – Mike Quackenbush (ch) v. Chris Sabin
Quackenbush appears unstoppable early on as he dominates on the mat and in the air. He picks up a pair of near falls and nearly gets the submission with a Chikara Special before Sabin grabs the ropes. Sabin appears done but manages to hit a German suplex out of nowhere that drops the champion on his head. Sabin has the opening and he makes the most of it with back to back HAIL SABINS followed by a CRADLE SHOCK and finally a third HAIL SABIN to claim the Pure Wrestling Championship. (3.5)

Card 05 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “All Women’s Wrestling”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON, April 25, 2015, afternoon card

Christina Von Eerie v. Su Yung
A fun opener. Yung controls early on until Von Eerie counters a deathjump with a powerslam for a near fall and then follows with 138 for another near fall. The story for the balance of the action is Von Eerie picking up several near falls while in control of the action and Yung, although getting her shots in, not getting near to pinfall. Von Eerie takes it with a 138. (2.0)

Saraya Knight v. Kellie Skater
Skater found out quickly that she was in a fight for her life against her UK opponent. BRIDLED ROCKING HORSE punished Skater who looked completely overwhelmed in the ring. Skater caught a break outside when she backdropped Knight and sent her crashing onto the announce table spilling the timekeeper to the floor. Skater took full advantage with two SKATE AND DESTROY but could not get the win. Knight recovered and appeared simply pissed off and gave Skater an epic thrashing. Knight was not able to reign it in and was disqualified when she assaulted Skater with a chair at ringside drawing great heat. (2.0)

Jessica James v. Barbi Hayden
Some really great speed in this one as the action went back and forth early on. Hayden showed her superior skills and took control of this one. James was never able to get into the match and fell clean to a HAYDEN HALO. (1.5)

Canadian Ninjas (Nicole Matthews & Portia Perez) v. Sara Del Rey & Courtney Rush
This one was insane and left the fans on their feet chanting. Rush was able to turn things around against Matthews in the opening minutes and shocked Mathews with an OLYMPIC SLAM for a near fall that the fans thought was three. The Ninjas quickly regained the composure and cut Rush off from Del Rey. Rush kicked out after a VANCOUVER MANEUVER and the Del Rey saved her after a FUNKY COLD MEDINA. Rush ended up on the floor and Matthews dove off the apron onto her but Rush was able to catch Matthews, get her on the shoulder and OLYMPIC SLAM her through a ringside table. The fans exploded as it was chaos at ringside with both Rush and Matthews down and out. The referee decided to award the match to the Ninjas via disqualification but the fans could not seem to care who won or lost. (2.5)

Madison Eagles v. Lufisto
There is some serious bad blood between these two competitors since the outset of PWA and the fans were hoping for some more wild action. Lufisto came out on fire and connected with an early Diving Star Headbutt that nearly ended it. Eagles was on the run before long drawing great heat from the fans. A rear naked choke forced her to the floor and Lufisto was out after her. Eagles grabbed a chair but Lufisto was ready, wrestling the weapon away and smashing Eagles in the mid section. The referee called for the disqualification. The fans hate the call but Lufisto keeps up the attack after the bell with a chair shot across the back. Suddenly Jessie McKay comes out and drops Lufisto with a Yakuza Kick before helping Eagles escape to the back. (2.0)

Elite Woman’s Title – Alison Danger (ch) v. Athena
Athena showcased all of her skills in her offensive attack on Danger who was on the defensive for a great deal of the bout. However, when Danger did get an opening she made the most of it usually resulting in a pin attempt. Danger hit a SHIMMERING WARLOCK but could not get the three. Athena also hit her finisher O-FACE without getting the win. It was back and forth as the action wore on with Athena pushing the champion to her limit before finally catching her with a sidewinder slam to claim the title (snake eyes). Great ovation for the fans for the new champion as Danger raises Athena’s hand in a show of sportsmanship. (2.0)

Card 06 – Pure Wrestling Association presents “Wrestle Craze”- Alpine Club, Kitchener, ON, April 25, 2015, Evening card

Adrenaline Rush (ACH & Tadarious “TD” Thomas) v. Bravado Brothers (Harlem Bravado & Lancelot Bravado)
The fans were solidly behind Adrenaline Rush from the opening bell and they responded with their best outing to date in PWA. ACH was on fire nailing Lancelot Bravado with a BIG BANG ATTACK for a near fall that had the fans on the edge of their seats. They were able to keep the pressure on Lancelot Bravado from some time but eventually had an opening and nearly ended it with a DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX on Thomas. The Bravado dominated the balance of the match and took the win with a GENTLEMEN’S APPROACH with Harlem hooking Thomas’s leg while Lancelot blocked ACH from making the save. (2.0)

Adam Page v. Adam Cole w/Mia Yim
Just some awesome back and forth action from start to finish in this match. Page took the first half of the match but RIGHT OF PASSAGE only scored a two count. Cole made a strong comeback and unleashed everything on Page but came up short each time he went for the win. Even the PANAMA SUNRISE only resulted in a 2 ½ count. This one ended at ringside when Cole dove onto Page on the floor but Page caught him and then slammed him through the ringside table resulting in Page being disqualified. Cole was left in a heap and the fans were left chanting. (2.5)

Irish Airborne (Jake Crist & Dave Crist) v. Louis Lyndon & Ethan Page w/Seleziya Sparx
The Airborne really look good in this one getting the best of Lyndon and then Page without too much difficulty. Page takes the fall in this one after back to back HEAD AND ARM TRAP DDTS from Dave Crist. Jake Crist blocks Lyndon from making the save and Sparx cannot cause a distraction. (dud)

Scorpio Sky v. Shaun Ricker w/Percy Pringle III
The classic power wrestler against the smaller more agile opponent was featured in this match. Sky wrestled smart and used his speed to keep away from Ricker and then attacking with planchas and dropkicks. After picking up a one count with a springboard dropkick, Sky went to the top but Ricker caught him and tossed Sky to the mat. Pringle directed Ricker to finish it and he did with back to back GRAVY TRAINS, the only offense he had of the match. (1.5)

Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) v. After Party (Rhett Titus & Johnny Yuma)
Another match that featured well matched opponents with resulted in some entertaining hard fought action. The momentum in this one was constantly changing from the opening bell. At one point it looked like the Bucks might go on a run but Titus caught Nick Jackson on the top of the corner and tossed him to the mat. The fans were treated to second table spot of the night when Yuma backdrops Matt Jackson through the ringside table. Titus tags in and takes the action back the floor and cracks Jackson with chair across the back. The referee calls for the disqualification and the fans are not happy. Nick Jackson collects his brother and makes his way to the back to a chorus of boos. (2.0)

Pink Ladies (Madison Eagles & Jessie McKay) v. Elite Woman’s Champion Athena & Alison Danger
The current Elite Woman’s Champion and the two former champions are all featured in this match so the fans are expecting something special. The fans were not disappointed. The Ladies gained the early advantage largely in part to their extensive time teaming together. Eagles was able to hit back to back HELL BOUNDS on Danger but could not get the win. A hot tag to Athena turned the momentum and the Elite Woman’s Champion appeared to have the match won with a O-FACE to McKay but Eagles made the save kicking off a wild brawl. Athena and Danger maintained control however and Danger put way McKay shortly after with a Lovelace Choker. After the match, Danger and Athena had a stare down and Danger told Athena she was coming for the title. (3.0)

Matt Cross & Nigel McGuinness (inj 1) v. Bryan Danielson & Josh Prohibition
The intensity between these two teams was off the charts as the battle raged in and out of the ring. McGuinness shined as the MVP of the action hitting multiple JAWBREAKER LARIATS throughout the match. Cross had his moments as well as he hit high flying moves both in and out of the ring. At one point, Prohibition was able to powerbomb McGuinness through a ringside table but the action kept going and the fans were unglued after yet another table spot. In the end, McGuinness was able to recover and weaken both Prohibition and later Danielson with Tower of London before putting away Danielson with a JAWBREAKER LARIAT. (4.0)

Pure Wrestling Title Match – Chris Sabin (ch) v. “Lightening” Mike Quackenbush
Once again the pace between these two competitors was incredible. Sabin never allowed his challenger to gain any momentum stepping up his own attack with a dive to the floor. Back in the ring Sabin unleashed a solid attack that included a pair of tombstones and a German suplex that nearly killed Quackenbush. Quackenbush kicked out the cover but Sabin kept coming with a sit out powerbomb for a near fall and then nailing HAIL SABIN to retain the title in dominating fashion. (1.5)

Congratulations to Athena on becoming the new champ... Even though I was rooting for Danger, it was a solid matchup and the victory well deserved...

It seems like the refs were a bit heavy handed on this night... Maybe a few No-DQ contests are in order to clear up some of this bad blood... The Ninjas vs SDR & Rush was exciting... But, Lufisto vs Eagles just got plain nasty...

Barbi Hayden looked to be on her game and it would be cool to see her move up in the Elite rankings... And I really enjoyed CVE's victory in the opener as well...

Truly entertaining!

Card 06 (which wasn't posted when I originally commented) was a burst of energy...

After Party was impressive against the Bucks... Too bad they got carried away by their own enthusiasm... And Cole might have picked up the DQ win, but I think Page delivered a pretty clear message with that slam through the table...

Always happy to see the Airborne chalk up a win, even if the match left something to be desired...

Cross & McGuinness had an all-out war with Danielson & Prohibition... M-Dogg is truly one of my faves and it was cool seeing him hit a few spots before Nigel came in for the big finish...

Pleased that the Pure Champion retained to conclude another excellent show... Hail Sabin!

I am going to run a few shows in my legends fed this week but the PWA will be back shortly as they go on the road for a special spot show in Chatham, Ontario that will feature Danielson v. McGuinness on top plus a Title Defence by Elite Woman’s Champion Athena along with Matt Cross one on one with Josh Prohibition.
