The golden era of the Galaxian Wrestling Federation has come to its end. In his never ending quest for power and dominance, Thantos formed an alliance of galactic villains. The sole purpose of this alliance, was to topple Omega and claim the Galaxian Heavyweight Title. In response, Omega brought together a group of galactic heroes to oppose Thantos. As a result of these actions, the Galactic Code was broken. The GWF became an intense battleground. Several wrestlers were scarred, maimed, and had their careers end during this time. The backers of the GWF were disgusted by what it had become. They decided to shut the GWF down. However, a new group of backers saw the potential of what the GWF could be going forward, so they bought the GWF. Thus the GWF was saved, and the backers dubbed themselves The Galactic Wrestling Council. They decided to move forward with the GWF in its new incarnation. They offered new contracts to the current GWF wrestlers. Some stayed and some chose to leave. In the end, a solid roster of talent was signed. The next step was to renovate the Deimos Arena. It was renovated into a phenomenal Galactic Arena that now holds trillions of fans, who can witness the greatest wrestling in the galaxy. The year is now 2087, and the time for the new GWF is at hand. The Galactic Wrestling Council has decreed, that it will hold two tournaments. One to determine the Galaxian Tag Team Champions, and one to determine the Galaxian Heavyweight Champion. The rules of the tournaments are the same. A team or an individual will compete. No one can be in both tournaments. Once a team or individual accumulates three losses, they are immediately eliminated from the tournament. The tournament will last until the champions are crowned. Tune it to see the beginning of a new era!!M

The New GWF Year 2087: Card #1 Massif VS Exo-KingExo-King wins by Submission at 4:37 Fatigue Count: Massif 0 Exo-King 0
Exo-King attacked Massif before the bell could even ring. Massif was able to weather the storm and was able to turn the tide several times during this match. Exo-King almost picked up the early win with a perfect Flying Body Crusher, but Massif wasn't down and out yet. The damage was done though, as Massif was caught in the middle of the ring in the DEATH VISE. With nowhere to go, Massif held on as long as he could, but had no choice but to tap out. Lord Nexus VS Death KnightLord Nexus wins by Pinfall at 2:15Fatigue Count: Lord Nexus 0 Death Knight 1
Death Knight started out strong, but seemed to fizzle out quickly. Lord Nexus using his experience, picked up the win after hitting Death Knight with a cross body block from the top rope for the win.Backstage Promo: Looking intense and as confident as ever, Thantos had this to say: "So it seems the Galactic Wrestling Council wants to impress the fans with these tournaments to crown new champions. Well they shouldn't have wasted their time. Everyone knows I will be the Galaxian Heavyweight Champion when it is all said and done!! Let the Galactic Wrestling Council play their games, as there is no game that I do not Master!!" The Flying Titans VS Ghengis Khan & Mutant The Flying Titans win by DQ at 2:38 Fatigue Count: Pit Viper 0 Pulsar 0 Ghengis Khan 0 Mutant 0
Pit Viper started strong, taking it straight to Khan. Khan in desperation tagged in Mutant, but Viper kept his dominance going. He tagged in Pulsar, who was eager to get a piece of the action. Pulsar's offense took Mutant out to the floor. Mutant played possum, and when Pulsar came out to get him, Mutant smashed hit in the face with a steel chair. The referee DQ'd Mutant right away. Pit Viper went to check on Pulsar, as Khan and Mutant went to the back laughing.Omega VS Thantos Thantos wins by CountOut at 3:25 Fatigue Count: Omega 0 Thantos 0
Both men that are no strangers to each other, locked up in the main event of the evening. This was a very technical bout, as both men reversed each other time and again. In the end, Omega left the ring to catch his breathe and out of the crowd came Death Knight. Death Knight proceeded to hit Omega from behind with the Cosmic Lance, as Thantos distracted the referee. It was an easy win for Thantos as the referee counted out Omega.Next Week:
Wolf vs The Incredible Kraken
Commander Sam VS Comrade Terror
Neptunian Space Croppers VS Vanity & Killer Queen
Star Warrior VS Executioner

Great opening show! Really enjoyed the promo cut by Thantos... He's putting the entire company on notice and I look for him to make good on his promises... That being said, not sure what kind of message he is sending by allowing Death Knight to take care of his business...
Now that Viper already bears the scars of their brutality, Khan and Mutant tried to give similar treatment to Pulsar...
The lineup for next week looks superb... Wolf taking on Krakan is going to be intriguing... And what are the Gladiators of Aethra waiting for? Nothing good, I bet...
Entertaining stuff!

Thantos definately spoke his mind, but how does he master the game? Will he do it underhanded or through his natural skill? Plus was Death Knight acting on his orders, or was he acting of his own accord? Viper knows the brutality of Khan & Mutant, but how will Pulsar react?

Nice start. Gotta love 2087 and the boys who started it all. Thanks Rex Havoc. I have actually just got into the COTG line. I was mostly a LOW and Indy guy, but I really liked what others have done it their Feds and I decided to give it a try. I can say I have way more ideas and stories for COTG than I ever came up with for LOW. I was short sighted in not giving it a chance. Now I am all in!

The New GWF Year 2087: Card #2 Commander Sam VS Comrade Terror The Match ended in a Double Disqualification at 10:03 Fatigue Count: Commander Sam 0 Comrade Terror 1
The hate these competitors has for each other was self evident in this match. Both competitors would not let up on the other, and neither you wield. At the close of the match, both men ended up outside the ring and started to brawl. The referee was unable to regain control and with no other choice disqualified both men.
Backstage in the Exercise Room: Pulsar is laying into the heavy bag with determination. In walks Pit Viper. "How are you holding up kid?" Pulsar doesn't stop, but responds to Pit Viper. "I can't take what Mutant did Lying down. He won't make a mockery of me!" Pit Viper absorbs what Pulsar said and responds. "Don't let them drag you down to their level, that is never worth it. Their day of reckoning will come, I promise you of that!" The Neptunian Space Croppers VS Killer Queen & Vanity Killer Queen & Vanity win by Pinfall at 2:02 Fatigue Count: Beast-Rider 0 Renegade 3 Killer Queen 0 Vanity 0 Renegade was isolated from Beast-Rider the entire match, and Beast-Rider never got involved into the match. Vanity was able to hit the Pulverizer on Renegade early to pick up the win. Beast-Rider didn't make the save as he was busy going after Killer Queen for messing with the beast that was brought to ringside.
Backstage: The Invincible Kraken looks pleased with Mutant. "Mutant, you did as I expected you would against those self righteous Titans. You made an example of the young one in brutal fashion. I knew I could count on you. Next time you meet the young titan, I want you to make sure he never forgets you! Now, I want you to accompany me to my match against Wolf. I know I can count on you if Wolf decides to get primal." Mutant follows Krakan like a love sick puppy.
The Invincible Krakan VS Wolf This match was a No Contest Fatigue Count: Krakan 0 Wolf 0
This match never got started. Before the bell rang, Pulsar ran to the ring and attacked Mutant at ringside. Pulsar was not to be denied, as he pounded on Mutant. Krakan tried to come to Mutant's aid, but he and Mutant were double speared through the ringside barricade by Pulsar. Security arrived to break the scene up. As this was happening Wolf went to go get Krakan back into the ring, but was blindsided with a chair shot by a hooded fan. The fan revealed himself to be none other than the Executioner. The referee deemed both men not able to compete and threw the match out.
Star Warrior VS Executioner This match was a No Contest Fatigue Count: Star Warrior 0 Executioner 0 After the situation was cleared from the last match, Star Warrior came to the ring and was awaiting his opponent. As Executioner walked down the ramp, he was attacked by none other than Wolf! It seems Wolf recovered from the chair shot quickly and repaid Executioner by throwing him off the entrance ramp into the crowd, where they brawled all the way to the back of the arena. The referee determined that the match could not take place and called it a no contest. Star Warrior left the ring and greeted fans and signed autographs.
Next Week: 2 grudge matches are to take place:
Pulsar vs Mutant and Executioner vs Wolf
Since they didn't have matches, the following match was made:
The Invincible Krakan vs Star Warrior
And of course you can't miss:
The Gladiators of Aethra vs The Greek Gods
