I'm actually really happy with this 20-man set. (I've decided to pick up Promoter Prime to get the Neon Express, plus I have Brute/Massacre from the original set, and they are in the game...) Toss in the managers from the first pack, and I think there is a really good universe here.
Huge fan of having Ace and Jet Set as main eventers, and I really like these mid-carders too. I think Racer/Kobra are stronger than Buster/Pro, but otherwise I think the second pack has a slight advantage.
Who do you think we'll see in set three?

We dont have much tagteams in so far.Better said complete teams.But that is easy to change with adding Danger Zone,Buzzsaw,Brit Buckingham and some others.From the Big Names for sure Dude Brohan.

Got my cards today. Ace Arcadium is far and away my favourite card in either set. Gorgeous art, and really fun stats. I like his "Cheat Code" gimmick as well. I stick by my earlier statement: this is the stronger set. I can only hope we get a third version some time. Having 20 characters is really great -- 28 would be better!  |

Of the set two cards, only Warhawk/Bug Buster scream "meh" to me. Ace Arcadium and Jet Set Strutter are the obvious stars of the set, but I think Mighty Leo is going to win a lot of big matches in some promotions. Skullgore is fun, Tennis Pro has some huge upset potential, and Hammerhead's going to be quite fun as well. I think I'm going to do the 16-man tournament, and also throw the Neon Express up against Brute/Massacre and see what happens.

Am just curious. Why do a few people make references to Brute and Massacre in relation to 80s Mania? Presumably they pop up in the app? Not really my cup of tea if that's the case as I don't like the mixing of separate things but then I am funny like that - I hated Greg Valentine sticking his nose into the COTG universe and mixing fiction with reality. But I did just wonder where this came into play?
