Since we have an EVOLVE thread on this board, I thought perhaps we could also have a CZW thread too.
Did anyone else see Proving Grounds last night? If so, what did you think?
listed below are some of the things I really liked about last night's IPPV (some show SPOILERS posted below:)
some of the things I liked from Proving Grounds 2016
the arrival of Da Hit Squad (and they showed up later in the show too, this time with Homicide!) I am looking forward to seeing TV Ready vs Da Ht Squad who I could definitely see as future champions.
Lio Rush's post match promo (it was great!)
Intermission during which time CZW showed a match of El Generico vs Kevin Steen which I had not seen before.
Preacher making his return after suffering that horrible neck injury.
David Starr calling out that racist fan (good for David Starr!)
the return of B-Boy to CZW and B-Boy after his match saying he will be back in CZW soon!
It is awesome that CZW is doing IPPVs 3 weeks in a row with next week's Welcome to the Combat Zone and then Best of the Best on April 8th.

I see Zandig came back last night because CZW has gotten stale with DJ in charge. Looks like that is the new big feud. I like it, but think its funny that John Zandig is basically Shane McMahon in CZW right now.

Sozio has announced that he is retiring and that his last match takes place at next month's CZW show The Boss is Back:

Seems like there is a lot of CZW guys retiring early. Did Sozio wrestle anywhere besides CZW? I wonder if the rougher style puts extra strain on their bodies. Guys that gain success outside of CZW may feel that strain is worthwhile but if they ONLY see success in CZW then maybe they start to question it. I'm purely speculating of course.

Did Sozio wrestle anywhere besides CZW? I think, especially in the last few years, Sozio has mostly wrestled in CZW and some Northeastern regional feds.

Wow! I didn't realize Da Hit Squad was in CZW. Definitely hope we can get them in the next set now. It would also be pretty cool to get a CZW Legend in each game edition since we got Nick Mondo, though I know that is probably easier said than done.
