CARD 1057 – LUNA AUDITORIUM:
Lots of nervousness at the first show of the year. Usually there is excitement but it’s tempered by Cordanus being present and backed up by police. What’s he going to do? He has many doctrines and his first act was to stop any special matches being booked. He says the are unnecessarily violent. So the two planned Titan Death matches are replaced by regular ones. Apparently he wanted to go further by banning certain wrestlers from appearing but ran into some legal stumbling blocks. Despite Cordanus casting his ominous presence the GWF puts on a decent show and gets tongues wagging with the announcing of the big main event at DEIMOS PERENNIAL. A Hardcore Battlezone match between the FDF and Team CPC!
Wolf defeated Anarchy. This should of been a Titan Death match until Corfanus interjected. In fact it was fortunate it was taking place at all. Cordanus had been seeking to ban certain wrestlers from appearing at all. Both Wolf and Anarchy were on his radar. You’d of thought they might of toned down the violence because of all that but they didn’t. The new Wolf-Anarchy rivalry is one that could potentially go onto rival other legendary feuds. They are the perfect match for a long hardcore battle. Luckily Maleph was not present to make things worse. Because it had originally been booked as Titan Death he was back in Brymstone in his official role overseeing a new kiddies playground being set ablaze. Doesn’t mean to say Wolf was safe. Blazing Skull or Tortured Soul could easily show up. Anyway the match unsurprisingly began outside the ring. A wild brawl to kick things off with a few chairs being tossed about. The ref turns a blind eye for now. The cameras hone in Cordanus. He shakes his head disapprovingly and screws up his nose. Eventually the match begins properly and it’s is back and forth for a few minutes until Wolf gets on a roll. His attempt with SAVAGE FACE CLAW looks like it might end things but Anarchy refuses to yield and manages to fightback. Wolf is undeterred and after a few minutes more raises the tempo again. With the match not going the way of Anarchy it’s time to try and change things. Tortured Soul and Blazing Skill emerge from the dark recesses of the runway and circle the ring. A dangerous gang attack is imminent. When suddenly having Galactic police and Cordanus present actually proves quite handy. They quickly move into action and the interlopers are forcefully ushered away. Wolf is able to continue and keeps his good performance going. A Wolf Skullcrusher proves successful in finishing Anarchy off. A major win to start the year!
Twin Blood easily beat Disorder X in a non-title match. Mace has many reasons to go after Twin Blood. The promise of cash from the coffers of Colby for any victories over the Rocketmen and the fact he still despises Dreggs. Add into that the fact Twin Blood are the tag champs and beating them could put Disorder X in the title picture. It doesn’t sit well with Mace that Dreggs is outshining him in that respect. He is convinced in his own mind that he carried New Order when they were a team. So it’s fair to say Mace is very motivated. However it turns into a total disaster. Disorder X is given a lesson. Grunge never got tagged in. Twin Blood were swarming all over Mace. He survived a few pin attempts. Grunge’s pin saves helped a bit although the second one after DREGGS OF DEFEAT led to the ref trying to stop him. During which Twin Blood were able to double team. This left Mace too beaten to respond to the pin attempt. Johnny Rocket looked delighted at the outcome. Magnus Colby’s first attempt to get back at him and the Rocketmen had failed miserably. Already Colby is considering getting Team CPC to go after them instead although Thantos is not keen. His team has plenty of other fish to fry.
Enigma wipes out Soldier of Fortune. Enigma’s first match as a Champions team member. You never get a second chance to make a first impression so he is keen to show what he can do as a hero. Fans take a while to get properly cheering. Takes some adjusting after someone’s been a villain for so long. Enigma certainly puts on a hell of a show. There were a few hairy moments due to his risk taking. However he wins the match and in the perfect way possible. With his new finisher ENIGMA SUICIDA. It is every bit as dazzling as it promised to be. One shudders to think what will happen if he misses it (as he inevitably will at some stage) but it’s a good connection and Soldier of Forfune got flattened. Enigma then leaps acrobatically right on top of a turnbuckle to celebrate. The win might just be the building blocks of a major push for Enigma. Okay it’s only against the ageing Soldier of Fortune but of all the talent that exists in the Champions he might just be the pick of the bunch. His future looks very bright.
Titan Attack defeated Transformer. Fans gasp as the monstrous Nth Degree stomps down the runway. The sight of Monad is enough to give young kids nightmares but Nth Degree is on another level. Lord Nexus, now back out at ringside, is hoping his young gun Titans will show no fear and can put a spoke in the wheels of this devastating new team early. Doomsayer is deeply unpopular at ringside but looking extremely satisfied with life. He doesn’t care that he has jeopardised the health of another wrestler or that Desolation Factor now oppose him or even that he could be investigated by the authorities. He suddenly has a really strong team with two top tag teams and the crazed Mad Jester clone. Plus he is free of the CPC shackles. The only thing he isn’t happy about is it is easier for Monad to be pinned here. The GWF is sticking with the rule that any two of his four shoulder blades can be pinned. Doomsayer has the smile wiped off his face. Incredibly Titan Attack gets a win despite being pummelled. Ursa Major got cut off and systematically taken apart. First Nth Degree mauls him and probably would of pinned him after connecting with TWO HEADS ARE BETTER. Scion Nexus came in with the pin save. Ursa Major was then fed to Monad. Again Scion to the rescue after QUADRUPLE CLAMP. Surely he couldn’t last out much longer. However Monad makes a huge error trying a deathjump. Took so long over it that Ursa Major was able to recover and throw him down. Then quick as flash came SHOTGUN CRADLE and just like that Titan Attack had won. Doomsayer was furious at the debut defeat although he’s team did look pretty deadly. They will surely beat many times whilst always being prone to mistakes and falling to surprise losses.
Draconian Sheik controversially beats Rising Sun. Massive test for Rising Sun. He ended 2108 as one of the hottest wrestlers around. However this might be his most dangerous test yet. Lord Nexus was not at ringside this time. Had his hands full dealing with Mutant after the last contest. Meant Rising was even more vulnerable to the Terrorists. He carefully navigates his route to the ring. Once safely down the runway he speedily jumps into the ring and keeps his distance from the Terrorists. Luckily for him Drac has barely noticed him. He was too busy gazing up at a pulsing light in the ceiling. In fact the only time he became aware of Rising was when the Titan skilfully floored him with a leg scissors. The ref had given the green light to start and Rising wanted to be on the front foot. Unfortunately Drac responds aggressively to that and threatens to easily beat Rising. DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER three times in quick succession ought really to of put Rising away. Only the Titan star is made of stern stuff. Forcing himself through the pain barrier to cling on. Only he doesn’t just cling on, he fights back brilliantly and turns the tables. There’s the odd bump in the road but he is moving towards another impressive win. A wristlock suplex is the move after which he chooses to try and pin Drac. Suddenly one of the Terrorists jumps on the apron. The ref is not counting the pin. Instead dealing with this distraction. Meanwhile the other one slides into the ring and throws a powdered chemical right into Rising’s face. He staggers around with his eyes burning and falls through the ropes. Drac follows him and slam’s him into the announcer’s table. Unbelievably the ref is still letting himself get distracted. So Drac continues the butchery by sadistically attacking Rising with something sharp. Rising was bleeding and unable to see by this point. No wonder he was pinned. Finally Lord Nexus arrives on the scene. All too late but at least he is able to protect Rising from more damage and help him away safely.
Dark Justice handled Mutant. Having to rub our eyes. Lord Nexus managing Mutant. Not that he is able to do much better than previous managers in controlling it. Upon sight of Justice it breaks away from Lord Nexus who was trying to walk calmly down the runway with a reassuring hand placed on the shoulder. Mutant first tears into Krakan and then goes at Justice. However it is outnumbered. In the few seconds it took Lord Nexus to reach the ring Mutant had already been floored by Krakan’s rifle. Would of been a nailed on DQ if the bell had been rung to start the match. Only it hadn’t and now Mutant was in trouble as it got pitched into the ring. Now things were officially underway. Lord Nexus was frustrated and looked like he might tangle with Krakan. He just about manages to stay calm and takes a spot on the opposite side to Krakan. His focus now to make the best of this. Unfortunately Mutant was getting creamed. All Justice offence initially when suddenly the Mutant’s primal instincts kick in. It managed to get a few kicks, punches and bites. However the turnaround was brief. Justice wasn’t going to be an opening show upset. He used his disgusting ROD OF JUSTICE and was helped by Krakan’s distraction. It was just about enough to get the job done. Lord Nexus didn’t try any interference of his own despite the urging of the fans. It would of been justified given that illegal finisher. However he didn’t want a hero manager to be seen doing such things in front of Cordanus and was more concerned with getting Mutant safely away.

CARD 1058 – LUNA AUDITORIUM:
No sightings of Cordanus tonight although there are still USFP officials floating around. However nobody is banned and everyone feels a little more relaxed. It’s a cool show and with DEIMOS PERENNIAL a little over a week away more match announcements are made. The one garnering most attention is Pegasus against Vengeance in a cage with the Heavyweight belt on the line. Wraith will collide with Max Shield in an emotional match and longtime enemies Wolf and Mayhem off. That feud will never grow old. Also revealed are Amazonia-Anaxis for the ladies belt, Alpha Power-Rebel Empire, Mandrill-Buck Steele, Cygnus Strikeforce-Third Planet and Tortured Soul-Archon. Plus more bouts planned which are not yet revealed.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, overcome Ninja Assassins by DQ. Twin Blood could easily go onto be one of the greatest tag teams ever. They are in perfect sync as shown in the way they dismantled Disorder X last week. Nothing is too much hassle as they always watch each other’s backs. Their sibling rivalry is now a distant memory. However they needed to be wary of the Ninja Assassins here. The Masked Assassins may be no more but that’s more down to Darkos than them. They still retain all their same skills and abilities to switch. That’s because Darkos is still managing them. Doomsayer hasn’t pulled rank yet and insisted he is the one being at ringside. His priority still lays with Transformer and turning them into an unstoppable force. However he would sure welcome the early addition of gold into his new Code Destroyers team. Unfortunately for him the Ninja Assassins fall victim to stupidity and a nervous ref. Match had barely got going when Daeman pitches Sleeze into the ring post. The kind of act most referees would let go unless it happened too frequently and warnings were ignored. However this ref was quite inexperienced and on a knife edge because a couple of UFSP guys had come right up the ring to watch. So the moment Daeman did that it ended the match prematurely amid booing from the frustrated crowd. Darkos was unhappy too and was also criticised post match on Spacebook for his poor management. He should of been instructing the Ninja Assassins better. The poster’s identity was username Doomsayer9. The media jumps on this apparent early internal dissension. Doomsayer says he doesn’t have a Spacebook account and this was just an imposter using his name to get some attention.
Blade and Spike ends in an entertaining double DQ. Blade has improved a lot and developed a few new tricks. Certainly doesn’t look out of place in such exalted company as Spike. However the legendary Gladiator considers Blade beneath him and initially refuses to engage. All horseplay. Brute laughs as Blade gets frustrated. In the end Blade has to prod Spike to get any reaction. Right in between the eyes. The match then begins and it’s quickly clear this wasn’t going to be the walkover Spike expected. In order to draw Blade’s sting Brute starts to intimidate Lorelei. Naturally Blade stops as he is protective of his mother but she shouts at him to carry on “I can handle myself”. Trouble was this hesitation allowed Spike to smash him from behind. Spike gains great impetus from this and starts to pulverise Blade. Plenty of fatigue tokens building up. One of those was after MEGADESTROYER. Incredibly Blade managed to kickout even though Lorelei’s distraction attempt failed. Blade just wouldn’t give in and found a second wind. When the match then went out of the ring a brawl broke out. Brute, who had been wilfully attacking most times that happened, stood back and let it play out. The bell quickly goes and security gets in amongst it all. Double DQ called. Nobody specifically to blame. It was six of one and half a dozen of the other. This is just crying out for a rematch now. There are a few open booking slots for my show on #1060 at Spica Pyramid so might just pencil it in there. Only thing is that Archon wants Blade to forget about the Gladiators and concentrate on the battle with Brymstone Burning. An outlook which has Archon and Lorelei at loggerheads.
Lance At-Las hands Bloodline a miserable debut. Much anticipated. Plenty of hostility towards Bloodline. He blocks it all and strides out looking like a born winner. Thantos is a couple of steps behind looking satisfied judging by that evil smile. There’s no easing in gently as he goes up against the ever popular Lance. Tellingly Star Warrior is not present. Apparently not ready to face his brother. Apparently still too angry and not trusting himself to show restraint. Bloodline’s first act is to grab a floating mic to address the crowd or more specifically his family “I will seek furious vengeance against those who have blighted me. My old family cannot ignore me any longer. But I have new family now in the CPC and Thantos is like the father I never had. My life begins now”. That brings a mass of boos from the crowd. Bloodline again blocks them out and tosses the mic out the ring. Bloodline then mounts the middle ropes and lords it up urging the fans to cheer him. The booing is replaced by a deafening silence. Finally Bloodline decides he’s ready to wrestle. He beckons Lance, who had just stood back against the ropes during all of this, onto him. Bloodline may have had a sheltered life. Often looked after by nannies and wanting for nothing but sure knows how to handle himself. After a struggling start where Lance uses his greater experience and has a few pin attempts Bloodline turns it around. A throw down from the top rope allowed him get a foothold and he weakens Lance with CETUS MASTERLOCK. It’s more a wear down move than it is a finishing move. A few more offensive moves and then Bloodline decides to go up there himself. Here it comes BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG, brace for impact! A solid hit at +3. However he is left frustrated by a Lance kick out. Sloppy cover from Bloodline. Red mist descends and he goes up there again. Only this time Lance gets out the way. Big crowd roar and Lance doesn’t hang about. Smashes down on Bloodline with a Nomad Knee Drop. He even telegraphs Thantos attempting to storm the ring and meets him with a kick to the head as he climbs through the ropes. Then straight back over to Bloodline for a cover making sure to use his experience and hook the leg. A fortunate low die roll gives him a great win to take the wind out of Bloodline’s sails. It gets worse for Bloodline as the crowd gasps. Star Warrior has decided to appear. He runs down the runway and starts attacking Bloodline. It is so out of character. After smashing Bloodline face first into the mat several times he moves onto Thantos who gets driven into the crowd railings outside. Then back to Bloodline. Star Warrior rolls back the years and hits him with COSMIC BIG BANG. No somersault but spectacular nonetheless. He looks like he might do more but Lance pleads at him stop. It’s as if Star Warrior was possessed and had now snapped out of it. He puts his hands to his mouth and then runs away almost in tears. Couldn’t believe what he had done.
Mad Jester over Defender of the Realm by DQ. First managerial duty of the year for Commando Sam and he is like a kid in a sweet shop. Excited and not knowing what to do first. Does he high five the fans, prep Defender or start trying to attack Jester or Doomsayer? Given Defender’s personality issues it is weird to see him as the level headed one and trying to calm Sam down. Although it didn’t take long to wind him up. Doomsayer goads and points to Mad Jester “look at your true self, this is your mirror image”. Before he can continue Defender charges at Doomsayer only for Jester to come in from the side with his loaded boot. He giggles as Defender then crawls in front of him. Meanwhile Doomsayer incapacitates Sam with the same chest plate beam we saw in the press conferences. On seeing Sam assaulted like that Defender forces himself to stand and rests against the turnbuckle. Just needing a breather before trying to check on him. However Jester isn’t about to let him and flies towards. Defender manages to move out the way and Jester goes tumbling over the top and out the ring. Now Defender’s time to be the aggressor. He spots Jester’s famous barbed rattle and grabs it. Fully intending to bury it in his back. The ref gets shoved aside in the process which led to the DQ decision. Defender reaches Jester at the same time as Code Enforcer Manslaughter who had seen what happened to Sam and headed out. On seeing Sam was okay he took Doomsayer out with a clothesline. His weak exo-skeleton legs meant that he fell just like a baby giraffe. Then moved onto Jester whom he held in a full nelson. Rather than viciously attack Defender discards the rattle and chooses humiliation. Borrowing a lipstick from a female fan in the front row starts decorating Jester’s face. Then to finish a punch to the gut to ensure Jester could not retaliate. Aftermath saw a promo with Jester crazily switching between anger and laughter. The main crux of it was to challenge Code Enforcer Manslaughter and get revenge for sticking his nose into the match.
Feminine Fury over Anaxis and Thrash by DQ. Don’t worry. The Gladiators aren’t about to start creating any alliances. Thrash and Anaxis teaming merely a marriage of convenience. It was a pretty even contest and even Ms. Liberty was getting steady offence. That was until Anaxis decided to slam Supernova into the hard floor outside and trigger a disqualification. Supernova didn’t hang around a minute longer than necessary. With Bloodline in known attendance she wanted to try and talk to him. He’s been ignoring her calls so she hopes a face to face meeting will help.
Maxine Babe pinned Nora Pelf. Noisy match with Johnny Rocket in full voice on the mic and in accompaniment of his new lady. Unfortunately Nora still has lots to learn about wrestling. She struggled. Got away with one as DUDE’S CHOICE is not possible without someone at ringside and Brainstorm is suspended. However Maxine Mauler straight after got her pinned. Maxine then spitefully used her long nails to scratch down Nora’s face causing a nasty eye injury.

BETWEEN THE ROPES:
Everyone is shocked at the way Star Warrior attacked Bloodline. Star Warrior himself is appalled and issuing apologies to the fans and his team. He stops short of apologising to Bloodline. Thantos wants the GWF to throw the book at Star Warrior for the unnecessary injuries caused (4 cards). Commissioner Morpheus issues a statement via the official website that Star Warrior and Lance At-Las are suspended for 1 card. A mild punishment on the face of it but it ends their involvement in DEIMOS PERENNIAL. Poor Lance didn’t do a lot wrong. He’s the biggest victim in all of this. At least he’s got a major win under his belt. Wins were difficult to come by for him last year.
There was also a nasty incident between Maxine Babe and Nora Pelf. Having won their match Maxine scratched Nora down her face. She then ripped her top off and danced provocatively around. Two unsavoury incidents. The injury to Nora’s eye is worse than first thought. She’s out for 5 cards. Although Maxine Babe is out for the same length as Commissioner Morpheus takes a dim view of her action and issues a suspension.

CARD 1059 – DEIMOS PERENNIAL – DEIMOS INTERGALACTIC ARENA:
Cordanus is skulking around again. No lackeys this time to represent him. After all this is the first supercard of the year. He is keeping a log of everything that is happening. We’ve learned pretty quickly to expect the unexpected with this guy. First he manages to stop a fireworks display inside the arena to kick off the festivities. Deemed unnecessary and dangerous. What a killjoy. Then he successfully bans his first victim. Nth Degree who was booked to face Malice is prevented from attending and will be arrested if he shows up. Doomsayer is furious but because he is on thin ice with the legal authorities as it is he fully complies. Pretty unpleasant stuff but the show goes on.
FDF defeated Team CPC in a Hardcore Battlezone match. The matches would rotate between Cage, Titan Death, Stun Rod, Castor Chain, Regular and then back again. Much of the build up has centred on how Bloodline is struggling. Inexperience had cost him on his debut and now injuries were hampering him. Thantos is getting annoyed such a big thing is being made of Bloodline’s loss. Calling Lance a lucky winner. Even his opposite number Commando Sam was getting irked “this match isn’t about one person. Let’s get on with it”. He was certainly fired up in true Sam style. Hopefully his team would be too. In fact both teams were. An absolute epic goes the way of the FDF. Only just. Here’s how it happened … Defender of the Realm defeated Paragon in a cage match. Awesome battle. Defender was in fine form. Really taking it to Paragon and almost escaping after DEFENDER CANNON. Paragon was racking up tokens but managed to come back into it. He was very irritated that he is having to waste so much energy in winning this match. Only he doesn’t. Arrogantly going for a deathjump and missing it. He gets away with that one by recovering quickly and dragging Defender off the cage side. Only to inexcusably make the same mistake twice and miss again (how’s your luck? Defender has a ‘C’ rating). This time there is no second chance. Paragon was too hurt from the fall and Defender gets away from him to win … Bloodline beats Defender of the Realm in a Titan Death match. Bloodline may of been injured but he was well on top. Defender’s last win took its toll. However it was a huge effort to actually get him pinned. Defender went as high as 8 tokens with several stints in CETUS MASTERLOCK and also BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG (+4) included in that. Means that Bloodline’s supposedly unsurvivable finisher has in fact been survived twice in as many matches. Eventually it does do the job for him with a slightly lesser impact (+3). Bloodline breathes a sigh of relief and moves on … Bloodline overcomes Code Enforcer Unknown in a Lepus Stun Rod match. Bloodline rising above injuries and showing he is a top level talent to take this win. His debut loss very much cancelled out by tonight’s performance. He is exceptional in this one. Barely took any damage himself and expertly using the Stun Rod to its full potential. He was also perpetually wearing down the unknown Code Enforcer with CETUS MASTERLOCK. This was the move that ultimately won it for him … Code Enforcer Manslaughter crushed Bloodline in a Castor Chain match. Biggest test yet for Bloodline as his run comes to an end. Not surprising considering his injuries and obvious exhaustion. At one point the Code Enforcer used the chains to incapacitate Bloodline and beat the absolute sh*t out of him. Even after that Bloodline withstood CODE CROWBAR and HEADS WILL ROLL. However the second time the big finisher took place it proves too much to take … Code Enforcer Manslaughter against Colussus ends double DQ. Thrilling match. Back and forth and seemed to go on forever. Both no sold each other’s finishers several times. Eventually a wild brawl happens on the outside. They seem to forget this is a regular match and can be disqualified which they duly are … Rack annihilated Prodigy in a cage match. Looks to be going down to the wire, both teams with just 2 members left. However the FDF now takes a big advantage by destroying Prodigy in just 4 moves. Immediately obvious Prodigy’s heart wasn’t in it. He is swiftly finished off with the singles version of RACKED AND RUINED … Heracles defeated Rack in a Titan Death match. It’s going to the final match. This was just one big power battle which Heracles, helped by being fresher, wins out in. It didn’t take him too long. Probably impacted with OLYMPIA about 4 times until it put Rack down for good … Ruin beats Heracles in their Lepus Stun Rod match. What a way to finish. Saving the best til last. This was a 5* contest. Heracles was doing much the same in the first half of the match as he did to Rack with OLYMPIA several times. Only Ruin refuses to be beaten and comes back strong. There was a moment the holster light came on and Ruin brutalised Heracles. Got a cheer when he shoved it right up Heracles backside. However was nearly disqualified for overuse. That can happen in these usually lawless matches if the rod doesn’t get returned swiftly when the light goes out. After this mauling Heracles was more just hanging on than competing for victory. He is covered in blood as he goes to 7 tokens upon which he is finally pinned following RACKED AND RUINED. Crowd goes nuts. FDF chant throughout the arena over and over. Brilliant ending.
Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, beats Vengeance in a gruelling cage match. Vengeance was furious that Pegasus took the title from him right at the end of 2108. His position of strength within the Gladiator team weakened as a result. It was the worst time to lose it with Brute coming in to be a ringside manager and effectively taking leadership of the team away from him. Could argue that had Brute been at ringside that night Vengeance would likely of still been wearing the belt. Often time past champions don’t get an immediate chance to win their titles back. It’s usually onto the next guy. However Vengeance has a fairly unique opportunity to do so. Plus it was inside a cage. Having spent so much of his youth and early adulthood behind bars he felt very at home. There were distinct patterns to begin. Frantic action, lull and then mind games (mainly from Vengeance). The fans soon became restless and urged Pegasus to do what he does the best. He responds to them and gets a proper hold of Vengeance. Directing him heavily into the cage side. Vengeance staggers to his feet and smiles as blood drips down his nose. He mutters “a bloodbath is what you want, how nice”. He then pounces on Pegasus with the dreaded Eye Cleaver. It was if his collision with the cage had no impact. As Pegasus deals with the assault on his eyes he walks right into HELTER SKELTER. The match turns into something of a marathon after this drama. As it ticks past 15 minutes there are then lots of rest holds as both guys try to build up their energy reserves. Of course we were going to get another wave of activity. One last push from both guys and it has everyone on the edge of their seats. A dramatic moment happens as a criss cross takes place. Both guys end up taking each other out with a clothesline and are down. Many of the crowd is on its feet willing Pegasus. The FDF guys maybe getting a lot of love at the moment but Pegasus still has a huge following. With the help of the ropes and bars he forces himself up after about a minute laying in a daze. Trouble was on the opposite side Vengeance has done the same. Pegasus spots this through his damaged eyes. Vengeance looks like a blur from where he is. Then he just thinks sod it and charges towards. Very risky. If Vengeance moves it would be fatal. However Vengeance fails to move. He’s in too much of a daze too. Pegasus piles into him with a bone-crunching clothesline that sent Vengeance into the bars for a double impact. It hurt Pegasus too but if he could just get to the cage door he would retain the title. Seems an age as he wobbles over in the general direction. He even walked into a turnbuckle and fell over again. Finally he finds the door. By now Vengeance was crawling instinctively over. As Pegasus finds the exit Vengeance pathetically reaches out with an arm to stop him. He’s still several feet away and clutches at air. Pegasus literally falls exhausted through the door and down onto the arena floor in a heap. The bell goes to indicate it’s over and it initiates a huge burst of cheering. The official grabs the Heavyweight belt and offers it to Pegasus but he’s too weak to take it. Just ends up being placed on top of him. Eventually Pegasus is able to rise again and depart the scene. He weakly acknowledges the fans and just drags the belt along behind him. What a match that was and now furious activity as officials start the clean up operation ready for the big main event.
Ladies champ, Amazonia, lost to Anaxis by DQ. Dramatic start. Amazonia comes out and awaits Anaxis. However Anaxis doesn’t answer the curtain call. Amazonia wants to earn her victories. She jumps off the apron and stands on the runway calling Anaxis out. Something doesn’t smell right. Then out of nowhere Anaxis smashes her from behind with her bowl. The cameras did not pick it up but it’s assumed she was hiding under the ring ready to pounce. If that was true then she’d been under there a long while. It’s been a long night. However it takes a lot more than that to slow Amazonia down. She reacts with furious anger to the assault by making sure Anaxis felt her full repertoire. Well almost everything. AMAZON ATTACK stayed on ice. Maybe Amazonia was trying to prolong the punishment. She then nearly got caught out as Anaxis reversed a smash into the ring post. After weathering all that Anaxis got her tail up. Thinking she could spring an upset. Also she noticed Amazonia was bleeding from her head. A legacy of that pre-match bowl smash. Suddenly it was Anaxis making all the running. All Amazonia could do was keep trying to taking the action out of the ring. If she was outside then she couldn’t be pinned. The brawls start to become more regular and the ref was losing control. Plus Amazonia was still fuming over being struck with that bowl. She decides sod it and makes a grab for her Warrior’s shield. At first using it to protect herself and then to swing it at Anaxis knocking her flying. She suffers a DQ for the action. Cordanus probably won’t of been impressed to see two women conducting such violence. Anaxis isn’t normally the vocal type but she wasn’t happy. She’d been close to claiming the title and vows “this isn’t over”.
Wraith pinned Max Shield. Lots of tension as Wraith and Max go nose to nose. Wraith says Max only has himself to blame “you froze me out to pander to that hothead Blizzard. I gave you many warnings but now it’s too late. I’m with people that appreciate who I am and treat me with respect”. It’s an intimidating situation for Max as Sentry is also at ringside looking primed and ready to blast him with the stun gun at any moment. Vertigo would need to be on high alert to help protect Max. Despite this and the vulgarities Wraith was throwing out Max rolls with the punches and engages his old friend in battle. No time for emotion or weakness. Sadly Max comes up short. Showed no shortage of heart and looked the better wrestler in the early part. Even striking Wraith with MAXIMUM IMPACT for a near pin. However that served as a wake up call for Wraith as he was on offence himself very soon after that. His transparency was helping him a lot. Max struggled to gauge how far away he was at times. He fell victim to Wraith’s PHANTOM JACKHAMMER. Three times in a row. Vertigo managing to distract and run interference the first two times. However he then got blasted by Sentry leaving Wraith in the clear to try it again and with it take a significant victory. It didn’t end there for Max. He later took a beating from the controversial security team. Many of them known to Cordanus. Apparently a case of mistaken identity as Max had later stumbled upon Reynard B. Guile being a voyeur. B. Guile was peeking through a crack in the door to Amazonia’s changing area. Yes, he still desires her after all these years. Max threw him down the corridor and B. Guile scuttled away. Only some of the other women sharing the area heard the commotion and assumed Max was trying to get through the door. Poor Max was left black and blue. Will he ever get a break in the GWF?
Alpha Power over Rebel Empire by DQ. After a poor 2108 there were worries that Chaos might blow the Alpha Power tag team off and strike out on his own. Or worse still return to the villain side. However those fears were allayed in the press conferences. Chaos made it clear his teaming with Alpha Force wasn’t a temporary thing and was determined to succeed. So the slate is wiped clean. No better way to get going again by beating Rebel Empire. Although they weren’t holding any gold at the moment Rebel Empire were arguably the most successful team last year. Finally delivering on their obvious potential with success in both GWF and CPC. Alpha Force was relieved to be in the ring wrestling again. A few minutes where he might be able to forget about all the pain Bloodline is causing. Alpha Power were slightly disadvantaged as their manager, Star Warrior, was suspended. On paper it was a match that should of been good. However it proves to be a disappointment. Didn’t last all that long and no meaningful offence. Coming to an end when Vendetta is disqualified for trying to put Alpha Force into the crowd. As with all the cards so far this year there is an overload of security which often time nips potentially dangerous situations in the bud. This was no exception. It was an outcome that did neither team any favours. Perhaps on hindsight this should of been a special match.
Mayhem beats Wolf on a DQ decision. Never gets old. Wolf maybe primarily tasked in dealing with the Brymstonians but he’s always got time for Mayhem. Perhaps the stakes had gone up even more now Mayhem was a Gladiator again. Shame it wasn’t given a special match flavour but the GWF is mindful about trying to book too many of these as it might give Cordanus too much of an excuse to make changes. They serve up high tempo action and everyone settles in expecting another classic between them. However with Brute prowling it was no surprise it didn’t end decisively. He is pledging to be a hands on brawler and shows that here. Wolf and Mayhem take their grappling out of the ring. Wolf managed to floor Mayhem and immediately challenges Brute just like old times. Brute doesn’t even get time to think about it as Wolf rushes at him trying to get his SAVAGE FACE CLAW onto him. Brute is still one tough cookie and fights him off. Mayhem recovers and joins the chaos. We have a messy brawl to the back that took a lot of sorting out. Not sure if anyone came out on top.
Buck Steele/Genocide over Mandrill by DQ. Mandrill is getting moody about suggestions he has lost his controlling grip on the villain team to Thantos and Team CPC. Is insistent they are working together to reach common goals. Although he’s already been shunted out the main event picture here as the FDF and Team CPC go to war. Instead he’s in the mid-card facing Buck Steele although in all probability it will be Genocide. The fans never grow tired of seeing Genocide and are urging the transformation as soon as possible. They are not left waiting for long. Just a single move as Mandrill starts with a clothesline. It’s Buck that goes down but it’s Genocide who gets back up. Going to be tough for Mandrill but a decent number of wrestlers have shown Genocide is beatable. Mandrill puts on a good showing and in the several minutes their contest lasted had some good offence. Even executing COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Even though it wasn’t successful Mandrill grew in confidence. A win would be a great start to 2109. However Genocide’s wild rage was growing with each passing minute. Fearing for his master Sentry sees fit to attack Genocide on the outside. His stun beam was unavailable after missing with it earlier so he uses the base of it to smash the back of the head. Mandrill hears the bell and quickly deduces this is over and fearing a violent reaction from Genocide quickly departs the scene. Sentry left to fend for himself and not so lucky. He is caught by Genocide and press slammed into the arena floor. Genocide then crazily departs presumably on the hunt for Mandrill.
Cygnus Strikeforce crushed Third Planet. First glimpse of Mangus since arriving back in the GWF. He has been spouting a lot of anti-Earth propaganda from his home planet ahead of this. He has also vowed to brand all the Earth scum and won’t rest until they are branded. Commando Sam might be a manager but will not be immune either. In fact he is the main target of Mangus. Notably Krakan stayed away from ringside. Not wanting to be caught in the crossfire of this war. Maybe his absence was crucial as his team loses easily. Mike Fortune slipping up against Maelstrom and losing to ANNIHILATOR EDGE. True to his word Mangus now attempts to brand Fortune. Maelstrom holds him in place only to get branded himself as Tough Guy storms in the from the side and help Fortune get out of the way. Third Planet then tries to take the high ground in the ring and celebrate a symbolic victory. However US. Traitor is not about to let them have their moment. He came in from the other side of the ring armed with a chair and floors them both. They took several hits each. Third Planet may of avoided being branded but both were left injured by the assault (1 card).
Archon defeated Tortured Soul. Archon remains conflicted. Deep down he thinks his team is treading a dark path by having someone like Wolf in its ranks. However he is well aware of the danger posed by the Brymstonians. This was also a very emotional match for him. Face to face with his old pal Vuclepa. Despite all the inherent dangers Archon still refuses to accept Lorelei as a ringside manager. Maybe a bad call because he has a lot of problems and could easily of lost this match. Had to endure the putrid taste of ROTTING CLAW numerous times. Even when Archon does have control he struggles to hurt Tortured Soul. His old friend was showing great willpower to hang on or maybe it’s because he’s an undead warrior that he feels so little pain. In any case Archon eventually got it won. He locked in ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION a few times. The final one saw Maleph fly in to disrupt. However Archon skilfully released his and caught Maleph by the legs managing to then spin him around in the air and throwing him back where he came from. He returned to Tortured Soul who was sitting up in a daze now. Just pushed him back down and covered. Archon was not happy to win. Before leaving he gives Tortured Soul a pitiful look. In his mind there are many more battles to come.
Blazing Skull toasted Blizzard. Blazing is slightly frustrated he cannot get stuck into the Centaurians this month like the other Brymstone members. Instead he aims to melt Blizzard and defrost any ice balls that come his way. Even Wraith chimes in on Spacebook “good luck Blazing and do us all a favour by microwaving that selfish freak”. The way Blizzard started though shocks Blazing. He was absolutely on ‘fire’ and threatening a fast win. He has three pin attempts in the opening 7 moves. Two of those coming from his stinging ICE ATTACK and then FROSTBITE. When that furious opening salvo doesn’t seal the win Blizzard shows his bad side by losing heart. His body language is all wrong and Blazing recovers and takes full advantage. Over the course of the next few minutes he was wearing Blizzard down with BURNING TOUCH three times. All a prelude to the big one DEATH BY FIRE. The move everyone dreads. Lucky for Blizzard that Blazing wants to win rather than increase the risk of being disqualified. So he receives the watered down +3 version. It’s still more than enough to get him beaten but at least he wasn’t leaving the ring injured.
Painmaster beats Dreadnaught to survive a banana skin. Dreadnaught keeps taking a licking but he keeps on ticking. Tonight he takes on Painmaster and hopes it will trigger a run towards the IP belt. This is what Dreadnaught’s target is in 2109. With Painmaster having featured so prominently with that title it would certainly help if he pulls off an upset. The gulf in ability is immediately obvious though. Painmaster is toying with him. Dragonmaster on commentary is particularly worried about Sentry’s stun gun. Worrying that being shot with its beam might be enough to finish Dreadnaught off for good. It’s for that reason he is hoping Dreadnaught doesn’t build any meaningful offence that looks like it might lead to victory. Suddenly what is feared happens. Painmaster gets too complacent and Dreadnaught shocks him with a comeback that culminates in GUIDED MISSILE. Sentry can be seen taking aim with the stun gun from behind where the ref is. The beam goes through his legs but the obscured view means Painmaster is hit. Drama as Dreadnaught has a big chance to win now. However Painmaster somehow still kicked out. You felt that was it, the big chance of the upset had passed. Indeed it was. Dreadnaught ran out of steam. Painmaster got back on top and decided no messing any longer. He used THE TORTURE RACK to get the match closed out.
Malice labours in his beating of Son of Ram. As previously mentioned a new tag team called Animen Invasion has invaded the fed. Don’t expect much from them. One half of that team goes up against Malice to open the show. Son of Ram, remembering the legendary past feud between the Gladiators and the Animen, vows to continue that fight against this new breed. Malice is pretty unhappy being relegated to the curtain jerking role against this low level opponent. He was supposed to be facing Nth Degree in what would of been a gripping battle. The rivalry with Doomsayer’s team still burning inside the Gladiators even though their main enemies are the FDF. Malice enters the ring with a face like thunder. He lets Son of Ram have a free hit before then seeking to demolish him. However he meets a surprise amount of resistance. Son of Ram makes this match go a very long time. Even got a bit of offence. Eventually Malice manages to use FIELDS OF MALICE. Reins in its devastation with the +2 version assuming that’ll be job done. Son of Ram stuns him by kicking out. Malice fumes and immediately scooped Son of Ram for a choke slam. Keeps his hands firmly round the throat in his pinning position. Malice wins but didn’t come out if that looking too good.

CARD 1060 – SPICA PYRAMID:
Cordanus interference again. He fails to get anyone banned but succeeds in taking the first 3 matches off the air. He says they are before the watershed in many galaxies (including Mensa) and as wrestling is so violent it’s deemed very unsuitable. Network execs comply as they are threatened with hefty fines. The chief promoter argues the case with Cordanus. He is set to lose a lot of money over lack of tv exposure but it is non-negotiable. It’s an argument he cannot win and ends up being arrested for continued complaining. The missing bouts do end up getting shown on the weekly ROLL UP episode but only the match ending highlights.
Rising Sun is in the form of his life to beat Skinhead and win the IP belt. Massive moment for Rising Sun to really elevate his singles status. He had been in incredible form until Draconian Sheik controversially ended his winning run. Lord Nexus says confidence is still high as Rising knows he deserved to win that match. Rising starts by offering a handshake to his fellow hero only to be snubbed. Skinhead still has heelish traits and his Rocketmen is a team that walks the fine line between hero and villain. Made for good viewing as it’s always better when one guy is cast as the villain in a match regardless of their status. At least the two managers are on friendlier terms. Lord Nexus and Johnny Rocket stand side by side throughout the contest occasionally chatting and made no moves to do any interfering. Their attitude, at least for this match, was let the best man win. That was refreshing. Although Johnny did get a tad fidgety at times. He knows the Rocketmen are in a very good position holding 2 out the 4 available GWF belts and dreams of winning manager of the year. So maintaining these levels of success are important. Heck, he even believes he could capture another belt with Nora Pelf once she gets more used to being a wrestler. Rising started much the better of the two. Skinhead has to resort to some questionable tactics to bring himself into the contest. Lord Nexus looks over at Johnny when this happens as if to say “hope you not going to say something to your guy”. Johnny says nothing, simply shrugs. Rising is not about to let rule breaking stop him though. Title shots don’t come around very often. Finds another gear and after a few minutes more action performs SUNSET SPECTACULAR twice in a row. Skinhead cannot handle it and is pinned. Fair play to Johnny. He could of tried to storm the ring at this point but stayed put despite it meaning the loss of the belt. Maybe his plans to be manager of the year now need putting on ice.
Matador of M83 reminds everyone of his class as he beats Max Shield easily. Max is all spruced up after the mauling at DEIMOS PERENNIAL but he’s still carrying some residual pain. However he was keen to get back at Reynard B. Guile for causing him embarrassment. The best way was to beat the Matador. The sneaky B. Guile found what happened to Max hilarious and was teasing him with pervert taunts. Vertigo warned him that he better shut his mouth. In fact the Matador didn’t look too impressed with his new manager. He has no time for silly sideshows and only cares about competing for and winning belts again. Just acts professional and gets underway. He then deals with Max pretty comfortably. Sadly Max slumps to yet another defeat. Vertigo tried to help him with a key distraction after BULLWHIP. The Matador simply did the move again straight after. Many hero managers share a common view that they’ll only interfere if the opponent has done something illegal first. Vertigo is no expection to that thinking. Up to now Matador had been pure wrestling. In fact Vertigo probably didn’t have grounds to even try the distraction. Anyway he stays outside second time around and watches Max get pinned. B. Guile jumps around annoyingly “amazing, I’m going to soon to be managing the GWF champion”. It was sad to see Max slowly pick himself up afterwards and trudge away with Vertigo. He’d had a month to forget.
Spike gets the better of Blade. Rematch after their double DQ thriller a couple of weeks ago. Both have resistance in the background as certain individuals believe their focus should be on their main feuds. Brute doesn’t even consider the match important enough to give a ringside presence. Same cannot be said of Lorelei who remains very protective of her son. She would of been mighty proud of the way Blade tore into Spike. He could of won in the opening minute after some high flying action was topped off with BLADE OF RETRIBUTION. Spike just about managed to hoist him off to avoid being an upset victim. A little later he was having to do it again. Spike’s attempts to fight back weren’t going well. Blade was too agile for him. That was until a deathjump went wrong. He flew at Spike only to be caught and powerfully slammed. After that it didn’t promising. Spike doesn’t win immediately though even after MEGADESTROYER. Blade hangs on and tries to mount more offence. Only his phenomenal speed has come down a few notches after the pulverising slam. It gives Spike more chances and his powerful moves increase as the time ticks by. He soon decides to try his finisher again. Lorelei jumps on the apron at this point, which will annoy Archon to see that, only to weakly stretch her hand outwards and shout ‘stop’. A Gladiator wouldn’t stop if a stampede of wild horses was coming at them much less a female pleading from a few feet away. Spike simply places his huge foot on Blade’s cheek crushing it and leaving it bruised. He demeaningly points to the ref to hurry up and make the pin count.
DARK MATCHES
Defender of the Realm beat Brainstorm by DQ. Darla and another unknown blonde bimbo (Maxine Babe was suspended) were both trying to be at ringside with Brainstorm but the ref won’t allow. Orders Brainstorm to choose. The two women are almost fighting over themselves to stay. Brainstorm chooses to keep Darla. Gives the bimbo a demeaning pat on the buttocks and sends her away “don’t worry, tonight both of you can have me” and gives a wink. Defender keeps back so this silliness can take place. He is in a good run and doesn’t want anything to jeopardise that. Seeking a clean win which could be a platform to a big rise up the rankings. Doesn’t work out that way though. Defender is not up to the same standard of recent matches. Twitching uncomfortably at times and grabbing his forehead as if in pain. He even had to survive BRAINSTORMER. Having avoided the upset found himself out of the ring and next to Darla. Pure hilarity as she ‘savagely’ attacks Defender with her poms poms. Because of Defender’s headaches and the way he was clutching at his eyes afterwards it is assumed by the ref some kind of foreign object was also involved. Without bothering to investigate fully he awards Defender a farcical DQ win.
Lethal Lottery over Thunder and Overkill by DQ. The Gladiators wanted to get their hands on Desolation Factor. However they remain out of reach at the moment. So instead Brute believes the crazed Lethal Lottery would be a good test and allow them to remind the wrestling cosmos of their superiority. He also vows to destroy the Terrorists if they dare to assault the Gladiators. Despite this Splatter and Vyper are excited to be facing them. Splatter loves a big guy like Overkill. He would be an easy target to hit with Arsenal. Whilst Vyper dreams of letting his snakes loose all over an unconscious Gladiator. The reality is they don’t even close to doing anything like that. The Gladiators cut Splatter off from the start and never let up. Splatter would surely of been pinned had Overkill not thrown him out the ring then followed him. The Terrorists were close. Maybe trying to show they are not intimidated by Gladiators. Overkill changes their mind as he reaches out and smashes their heads before any carnage can take place. Made a sickening crack sound. He obviously didn’t care that it led to a DQ. Overkill is a man of few words but when a brave journalist stuck a mic in his face later on he growled “I didn’t like the way they were looking at me”.
Theatre of Pain defeated Disorder X. Johnny Rocket is now managing Theatre of Pain sporadically and shows up here. He’s certainly got his finger in a few pies but it seems managing tag teams in his expertise. He hoped to pilot them to victory and claim another managerial win over Disorder X and does just that. Theatre of Pain comes through some hairy moments, especially when Comedy is subjected to DECIMATION. However, with Johnny’s help, Tragedy was able to storm the ring and reverse the cover. After that let off Theatre of Pain improves and go onto win. Thanks to SHAKESPEARE on Mace.

GWF REPORT (THE END 2109 CARDS 1057 - 1060)
GWF Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Pegasus (Top Contender: Paragon) * GWF Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contender: Cygnus Strikeforce) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Rising Sun (Top Contender: Draconian Sheik) * GWF Ladies Champ: Amazonia (Top Contender: Anaxis)
Latest News:
It’s happening sooner rather than later as already Wolf craves a life outside the Centaurians. Realising Archon might drive him up the wall he knows an extra outlet will be needed. So he is now part of two groups. He’s the only member at the moment of what he calls the WOLF PACK. He says anyone can join if they are hardcore enough. All they need to do to qualify is beat him in a Titan Death match. Already the likes of Buck Steele/Genocide and Code Enforcer (Manslaughter) are clamouring to get in. Just as an extra curricular thing. Not sure some of the hero managers approve of this.
As if President Cordanus can’t make himself any less popular he uses his power to go over Morpheus and ditch the currently vacant Cruiserweight belt. Calling it a symbol of the ugly fed wars. He simply says “wrestling has a big image problem. I will fix everything”. Bizarrely Prodigy uses this as an opportunity to get himself in the spotlight. He argues that as Karah left the GWF for the CPC he won the title by forfeit as they had been due to wrestle for it this month. So he claims it is not vacant. As he feels he didn’t lose the belt and Cordanus has no jurisdiction (in Prodigy’s mind) then that means he is still the champion. Even going so far as to having it remade. The original belt whereabouts is unknown. In fact this is the third design so far as the very first one got damaged by Death’s Head when he held it. Anyway it’s all a bit confusing. So far the GWF refuses to recognise Prodigy as a champion and are not commenting too much. They are mindful that antagonising Cordanus unnecessarily would not be a wise move.
Aside from this Cordanus was very busy in this opening month. His crafty methods got several dark shows cancelled and then he actually managed to ban a wrestler from DEIMOS PERENNIAL. Nth Degree was struck off the card at last moment. Thank god it wasn’t someone more important to the show like Pegasus but Cordanus is going after the more villainous hardcore groups it seems. Anyway the event was still a smash hit. Some unbelievable matches took place with the main event, in which the FDF prevailed, proving to be a classic.
As if Bloodline hasn’t caused enough shocks already he makes an appearance on famed GWF talk show ROLL UP. It took place before DEIMOS PERENNIAL but immediately followed the embarrassing debut loss and injury to Lance At-Las. Presumably this took place as he wanted to generate some serious heat again. Somehow he had in hands the sacred feather Omega used to wear before his matches. A precious family heirloom. He urges the camera crew to follow him. Taking them into the rest room. He throws the feather into toilet, openly urinates on it before flushing it away. A disrespectful and disgusting act. Thantos can be heard laughing in the background. Bloodline knows exactly what buttons to push with the Evil Gamemaster managing his affairs. Fair to say his unpopularity is off the charts. However we are already seeing that he has real potential to be a future champion.
There’s an upcoming title shot for Paragon. A surprise to be sure given he hasn’t won a match since 2108 ended. Skewed rankings from the separation of the GWF and CPC are to blame. Remembering he was the sitting CPC Heavyweight champion at the time. Paragon arrogantly proclaims “I knew I wouldn’t be without a belt for very long. My greatness cannot be held back. I dominated the CPC and now I will do the same in the GWF”. Pegasus is confident he can see off the challenge and keep the belt out of his dirty hands. He has found form at the right time as was very evident in his successful title defence against Vengeance. Even though it’s a tough time for the GWF it is good that the heroes are in possession of all the belts. Hopefully that can be maintained next month.
Some important other battles coming next month with the feud between the Centaurians and Brymstone Burning being explored even more. Blade faces Tortured Soul this time whilst Wolf moves onto a match with Blazing Skull. Already Archon is hoping Wolf forgets about all this Wolf Pack nonsense and focuses on the match as he tells the wrestling media “he could be a real help to us in this battle. I expect him to win but with honour”.
Lance At-Las is looking ahead to a positive year. Wins last year were in short supply but just like hover buses two come along at once as he has beaten US. Traitor and Bloodline in successive months. In an interview with GWI mag he says “don’t discount me for titles, I am confident and aiming high”.
INJURED – Bloodline (2), Nora Pelf (3); SUSPENDED – Maxine Babe (3)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
BLOODLINE - Instant impact. Even though he had a debut to forget he was grabbing all the wrestling headlines. He then more than redeemed himself in the Hardcore Battlezone match against the FDF despite not being fully fit. Didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
CYGNUS STRIKEFORCE - Striking fear into the tag team division at last. Easily beating Third Planet even though the branding backfired. With Mangus behind them they stand a change of now challenging for the belts. Something that will happen next month.

CARD 1061 – ARCTURUS PARTHENON:
Refreshingly there is no Cordanus or UFSP presence. Don’t worry he’ll be back!
Titan Attack defeated Lethal Lottery by DQ. Titan fans getting very excited for their beloved heroes after a successful start to 2109. Rising Sun scooping IP gold and Titan Attack putting a spoke into Doomsayer’s wheels after upsetting his monstrous new tag team. Could they follow that up by getting off to a good start in this 3 way rivalry that includes Third Planet and Lethal Lottery? Another win will surely see them shooting up the rankings. They get the win although not in the way they’d of wanted. Scion Nexus got a real rough ride almost immediately. He was struck with MEET ARSENAL. Splatter got away with it. Thankfully Scion still managed a kick out. However Vyper was straight on him with VYPER’S SIDESHOW. He avoided a loss as Ursa Major decided enough was enough and made the pin save. This triggered a brawl which the Titans amazingly won. So Ursa Major tried to take advantage with TITAN VICTORY ROLL. Only to have his pin attempt broken by a foot to the head from Splatter. So the pendulum immediately swung back to Lethal Lottery. Their actions meant they were walking a DQ tightrope. That verdict then comes soon after as the Terrorists decide they will attack Ursa Major after he’s thrown out near them. Fortunately he fends them off and on advice of Lord Nexus they get out of town fast. Take the victory and run. I think lots of DQ outcomes is going to be very much the theme of Lethal Lottery. They were bad enough in the first place without the Terrorists.
Code Enforcer Manslaughter over Mad Jester in a tough match. Jester starts by bounding into the ring and pleads to Manslaughter’s good nature “you wouldn’t hurt one of your own?” Referring to the fact Defender of the Realm is a teammate and friend of his. By attacking his clone is suggesting it’s an attack on him. It doesn’t make a jot of difference. Manslaughter grabs him by the throat and throws him across the ring like a rag doll “don’t waste your breath. I am carrying out Commando Sam’s orders”. Actually Sam was not at ringside due to matters of a ‘military nature’ but Doomsayer was. Seeking any advantage as always. Also mindful that the FDF has started the year with incredible momentum. Jester is initially knocked from pillar to post. However Code Enforcer’s attempts to bully his way to the win hit several roadblocks. Jester, with the help of Doomsayer, managing to comeback and almost won by count-out at one point when Code Enforcer got consumed by getting at Doomsayer. Code Enforcer was also getting frustrated that his CODE CROWBAR didn’t finish the match several times. Eventually he managed to use his more potent HEADS WILL ROLL and end the resistance of Jester.
Desolation Factor defeated Ninja Assassins by DQ. Only a matter of time before Desolation Factor collides with the Gladiators again and Transformer. However Darkos looks to steal their thunder by having the Ninja Assassins take care of them first. He stokes things up by claiming Desolation Factor were sacked by Doomsayer for being slackers. Was made to eat his words as under Commando Sam they are looking like they are a very different proposition. Desolation Factor in total command. Hydrax should really of been pinned after RACKED AND RUINED. Darkos ran interference. However he got pummelled by an angry Commando Sam for doing so. Things started to get out of control after this. A brawl erupted inside the ring. The ref trying his best to restore control. However the Ninjas took things too far by drawing out shurikens. The horrified timekeeper didn’t even wait for the ref’s signal to ring the bell. Luckily they didn’t go through with threats to actually use them. These sorts of incidents will not help the fed in its battle with Cordanus. Sometimes the threat of violence is almost as bad as the act itself.
Blade pinned Tortured Soul. Blade may of been put in his place by Spike last month but he’s still oozing new found confidence. There is no doubt his abilities have improved and he was itching to show them off here. Archon is also happier that energies are being channeled towards the Brymstonians rather than other groups. Blade delivered a great victory which means Tortured Soul has now lost his opening two matches since being brought into the Brymstone Burning team. Something that is causing great embarrassment to Maleph. In fact they are 0-3 against the Centaurians so far in 2109. In fact Maleph was so ticked off by tonight’s outcome he banned all vandalism from taking place back on his homeworld. The manner of victory was BLADE OF RETRIBUTION. By no means a walk in the park though. Blade had to work pretty hard for it. Lorelei played her part too as she foiled Maleph’s attempted distraction by grabbing a leg as he tried to fly into the ring at that crucial moment.
Nth Degree struggles to beat Mutant. The singles debut of this monster once known as Pollux arrives having been put back by the Cordanus ban. He came a cropper against the Titans last month when Titan Attack upset Transformer. Could another Titan handle him/it? Still seems incredible to be describing Mutant as a Titan. This was very interesting as Lord Nexus is known to be keen to get Doomsayer to put Mutant through the Transevolver to see if Montrol can be brought back. Despite that the two managers say nothing to each other during the course of this. Mutant almost stole a fast victory in just 2 moves. An illegal choke hold turned into a pin attempt. The roll wasn’t far away. Nth Degree’s mobility isn’t great and struggles to get anything going. Eventually gets a hold of Mutant and throws it into the turnbuckle with force. Looks like should be curtains after that only Nth Degree makes heavy work. Not looking at all impressive even though he did win. Hardly a move to strike fear as reverts the pathetic old PIN USING ROPES to beat Mutant.
Nora Pelf defeated Hunger by DQ. Can Nora Pelf ‘keep Hunger at bay?’ She is still carrying some injuries from her debut but doesn’t want to be sidelined before even getting started. Johnny Rocket is worried she is moving too fast and prefers her to of stayed holed up at home and resting. Another new female wrestler, later learned to be Serpentine, strays into the match. Her attacking of Nora Pelf causing the disqualification. Before that happened Hunger had looked a very dangerous opponent. We gradually learn a lot more about these two newcomers. They are Brymstonians but have nothing to do with the Brymstone Burning team. When they are together they are called the Hellions. Feminine Fury will be very keen to face them.

CARD 1062 – ARCTURUS PARTHENON:
Told you President Cordanus would be back. He smugly announces that he has the legal backing to ban all Colonists from the show. That’s too bad for Rebel Empire who were booked to face Theatre of Pain as part of their drive to get near the top of the rankings again. Johnny Rocket thought they’d be given a forfeit win as a consequence. However he is left disappointed. Willing replacement opponents are found in the form of Third Planet.
Draconian Sheik beats Rising Sun again and this time it’s for the IP belt. Rising’s first test as the new IP champ. His controversial loss to Drac last month still fresh in the memory. The Terrorists swung that match and would be trying to do so again. Rising is hoping that this time he might get better protection from his manager, Lord Nexus. Sadly it happens again. Not that Lord Nexus could do much about it. He and Rising are jumped viciously on the runway. Powder to the eyes incapacitated Lord Nexus whilst Rising received a beatdown with clubs. It meant he was in a bad way when reaching the ring. Drac needing just 2 moves to win with DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. Rising didn’t let the Terrorists gloat with the belt. Forcing himself to recover quicker than anyone would of expected. He wipes all of them out from behind with flying scissors kick. Then takes hold of the same clubs used so brutally on him to inflict similar punishment. Probably worse as it ends up leading to a 2 card injury for Drac. Although we didn’t know that at the time. If Lord Nexus wasn’t struggling with his burning eyes he might of called him off. Rising was not very Titan like when pressed for comment on his actions “sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire. I hope Lord Nexus understands that”. He gets away with no disciplinary action. Commissioner Morpheus didn’t condone but realises that it was a provoked reaction and factors in the past exemplary behaviour of the Titan team. I suppose the silent punishment is that Rising will not be offered a rematch. At least not yet.
Ladies champ, Amazonia, battles to victory over Anaxis. Early shenanigans as Anaxis gets annoyed at Amazonia for lightening her load by smashing the trademark bowl she carries before things even begin. Amazonia jumped the curtain call and slammed into Anaxis from behind. The sound of her calming Greek music ruined by the smashing sound. Anaxis picks herself up, looks at her bloody hands and then contorts her face with anger. Time for payback. It drives her onto a gritty performance although it takes something pretty special to beat Amazonia these days. Anaxis was withstanding some fierce offence in the first few minutes. She is also wisely choosing not to leave the ring too often even if it gives a chance of a breather. Knows that might increase the chance of a DQ finish. Even threatens a win herself when, as a part of a brief spell in the ascendancy, she uses CALL OF THE SIREN. However the warrior spirit inside Amazonia refuses to let her give in. Managing to come back from the brink and launch another furious run of offence which culminated in AMAZON ATTACK. Anaxis was already carrying a few tokens that even a ‘normal’ move might of beaten her now. The fact it was a finisher just made it certain. Amazonia keeps her reign going and has an aura of invincibility about her lately. She pays homage to Anaxis in the aftermath “she fought like a warrior and I respect that”. Little extra note is that Amazonia’s friendship with Lorelei is growing. Amazonia is trying her best to convince Lorelei to become a wrestler and is even training her. So could happen one day. However Lorelei for now is happy to stay as a manager. She might even take Amazonia under her managerial wing from time to time.
Wolf downed Spike in a Titan Death match. Wolf really pushing the boundaries with his new team as he indulges the first Wolfpack qualifier. Spike has a deep loathing of Wolf yet wants to be part of the Wolfpack. Could only happen in the GWF! Makes sense that Spike would try for it though. He is slightly surplus to requirements in the Gladiator team. Massacre has no objections to this either. The relationship between Wolf and the Gladiator legends is love-hate but they go back a long way. Wolf commences at a frantic pace as always. Spike is being kept off balance and struggled to get much going for himself. For a Titan Death match it is unusually ring focused. Sometimes Wolf has nights where he just can’t be beaten. Tonight is one of those. An early attempt with SAVAGE FACE CLAW gets powerfully broken. However continued punishment absorbed by Spike leaves him unable to repeat that feat when Wolf tries it for a second time. The big Gladiator slumps to his knees under the intense cranium pressure. The referee decides enough is enough and stops the match. Wolf wins and stays hot. However he still awaits his first Wolfpack member.
Thunder and Overkill defeated Animen Invasion. The arrival of new Animen has caught the attention of the Gladiators. More of a minor irritation than anything they are serious about going after. Just bugs that need to be squashed quickly. Brute realises once the match begins that these two are not a patch on the Animal Pack that he used to battle against many years ago. However he won’t if been too happy at how long it took the Gladiators to close out the win. Maybe they were just toying with them. In any event Son of Ram is unable to weather THE TEMPEST and leads to him being pinned. Trying to keep the feud going, which is unlikely, Son of Ram brands the Gladiators lucky and says this is just the beginning of a new legendary rivalry.
Theatre of Pain in fine form to beat Third Planet. Late replacements for the banned Rebel Empire are Third Planet. Krakan is pushing them hard to become major tag team players. Even though they prefer singles action. He was sweating on Tough Guy showing up at late notice but he dutifully did. However he was probably sorry that he put them forward by the end. Theatre of Pain were in total control. Reminding everyone what a great tag team they are. Comedy’s Plot Twist takes care of Mike Fortune.
Soldier of Fortune upset Max Shield. Max going back to basics. He knows his form isn’t good enough. So he looks to the low end of the card to try and give himself a jumpstart. Not that his opponent, Soldier of Fortune, thinks of himself with such low regard. However the truth is the guy is well past it and likely to be retired by the end of the year. His body is not as abused as Dreadnaught but the Transevolver has still taken a toll. Not that you’d know that here as Max has another shocker allowing Soldier of Fortune to win. Max kept getting caught with chart reversals. Surprising given Soldier of Fortune’s very average ratings. When Max finally got a decent run on offence and struck MAXIMUM IMPACT only to get a two count you just knew it wasn’t his night. Guy can’t get a break. He then buckled under a comeback surge and Soldier of Fortune uses THE REVENGER to get him pinned.

CARD 1063– COR COROLI DIAMOND DOME:
Again no action from President Cordanus to spoil this show. Lol, I forgot to roll!
Tag champs, Twin Blood, easily see off the challenge of Cygnus Strikeforce. Mangus declares Twin Blood are eligible for branding by accusing them of being Earth sympathisers. He is more obsessed by the branding than he is about winning the titles. In his words “belts don’t win wars”. Johnny Rocket boldly declares he will put his body on the line for his guys “I’ll take a branding if it keeps the gold”. It never gets anywhere near that though. The champs are so dominant and never in any danger. Maelstrom never got anytime inside the ring other than to try pin saves. US. Traitor was on the end of all their well synchronised moves. He just about survived SEEING DOUBLE but was given no respite as Dreggs moved in straight away to finish him with TWIST AND SHOUT. Johnny Rocket couldn’t help using his mic to tease Mangus “guess it’s only fitting to brand you guys a bunch of losers”.
Ursa Major upsets Prodigy in a 5* classic. Prodigy roars down the runway on his motorbike proudly displaying his expensively made Cruiserweight belt on the handlebars. Cordanus wasn’t having any of this. A police squad moves in to confiscate the belt as soon as he parks up. Prodigy is spitting and swearing as he is held back by two burly officers. Meanwhile the belt is placed onto the floor and smashed to bits with a sledgehammer. The reboot of the division fails miserably. Prodigy complains to the GWF Commissioner Morpheus after this atrocious act. He receives no protection as it was not sanctioned. Morpheus tells him “forget about it, there are plenty of other belts”. It was almost forgotten that there was a match amid all this which was won by Ursa Major. Absolute classic too. Ursa Major wrestled a blinder. Survives being put in MASTERLOCK by Thantos and Prodigy’s THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER countless times. Lord Nexus was so incensed by what Thantos did he even tried to distract after one of these. But it comes so unnaturally to him that it fails. Not to worry Ursa Major keeps kicking out under his own power. He was just able to come of age and do extraordinary things tonight. It sounds like it was all Prodigy only that couldn’t be further from the truth as Ursa Major had loads of offence and was using his best moves many times too. Although his winning move was a back brain kick. Delivered when Prodigy was dead on his feet and carrying his 6 tokens like an albatross around the neck. It was a great win for Ursa Major. Right up there with the glorious moment several years ago that saw him beat Vengeance and win the IP belt. Such a shame it didn’t end with him holding the Cruiserweight belt for the second time in his career. This belt is sadly now just a part of GWF history.
Code Enforcer Unknown over Mandrill by DQ. Mandrill refuses to be shoved aside in the villain shuffle and is signing plenty of matches against the top heroes. Even though he presents a united front with Thantos deep down he thinks the guy is a phoney leader and needs to be kept at arms length. Anyway he needed to forget about all that and deal with one of the many enemies he now has. Commando Sam was in full voice at ringside with the Code Enforcer. Issuing warning after warning towards Mandrill for Galactic code violations. All good entertainment but could do with reining it in. Just one blast from Sentry’s stun gun could easily silence him. As it turns out Sentry saves his attack for the Code Enforcer. He’d just landed a guillotine leg drop. The match hadn’t been going all that long but as there existed a small chance of Mandrill being pinned Sentry moved to try and disable the Code Enforcer with his stun gun. The shot is well wide of the mark due to Commando Sam spotting the intention and slamming into Sentry. Unfortunately Sam took a blow from the gun itself to the gut. Sentry hasn’t got time to charge another shot so storms the ring and smashes Code Enforcer from behind. The ref was just about to slide in to make the pin count but instantly springs up on seeing this to call the DQ. Mandrill and Sentry now prepare to gang up against the hurt Code Enforcer. However they are stopped in their tracks by sudden crowd cheering. It was the arrival of Code Enforcer Manslaughter armed with his crowbar. He clears the ring and a dangerous attack is averted.
Heracles defeated Enigma by DQ. Enigma steps up the difficulty by facing Heracles. It’s a work of art watching him. Even the Star Warrior and Anaxis at ringside behave themselves so the match can be appreciated. Of course Heracles has never been the kind of guy just to easily put someone over. He works hard to stop the aerial bombardment. However he cannot stop himself from getting hit with ENIGMA SUICIDA. The thrilling move brought the crowd to its feet. Sadly it didn’t win it though. Heracles managed to get a foothold not long after by making Enigma hit a ring post. The flow of things changed a lot after that. Credit to Enigma though. He’s not just about thrilling moves. He can take some punishment too despite his smaller frame. Took several hits from OLYMPIA and still not giving in. Time ticks on and tokens build. It’s so nearly a 5* match. Didn’t get the ending it deserved. Heracles threw Enigma over the top rope and as he came out was met with the thick end of a chair. It’s not uncommon from recent converts to the hero side to struggle to shake off their villainous traits. Enigma is no exception and it costs him the DQ loss.
The Hellions defeated Feminine Fury. The Hellions are in intimidating sight. Especially Hunger whose beauty is tarnished by devilish features and symbols of hunger that includes a torso with fangs. Ms. Liberty had a busy match. She very nearly pinned Hunger quickly after THE LIBERATOR. Later she is in the wars and having to face ABDOMINAL HUNGER and DEMONESS DDT. Doing well to survive both moves. Supernova then has a lengthy battle with both Hellions and caught Serpentine with SPEED OF LIGHT but was unable to get her pinned. There was some attempts at outside brawling. Mostly sorted out quickly by the ref who was being pretty strict. It’s anybody’s match. However Ms. Liberty was always probably the weakest link. Despite her spirited effort she does eventually come a cropper after Serpentine uses a Brymstone Bludgeon. Ms. Liberty took a while to recover and when she does sees US. Traitor standing in the runway. He is wrestling later but this is first time they’ve crossed paths in a long time. There are fears he will make a move on her but is more likely rubbing salt in the wounds. Ms. Liberty clams up on sight of him. Supernova urges her to leave and just walk right past him. Ms. Liberty cannot do it and they instead have to jump the barriers and go through the crowd. Traitor stands a few moments later before departing back to the dark recesses of the runway. Fans were venting their feelings and try to pelt him with food and drinks.
Skinhead goes over Malice by DQ. Malice is frustrated. He wants get his teeth into the Code Enforcers. It’s not even happened for him at any dark shows. Just been steamrolling low level opponents. At least Skinhead should provide more of a test even though this is nothing more than a rankings match and doesn’t mean an awful lot. Malice’s moodiness came to the fore during the match. Not much interest in wrestling and triggering a brawl. As the instigator he was disqualified. Match was a dud.
