CARD 1127 – COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Mandrill is vastly superior to Corporal Aegis. Another appetiser for GALACTICON. Only worry for Aegis is his energy levels. Has he been too active in recent weeks? Word is he has been maintaining an intense schedule on the dark shows. Appears so as this was ridiculously one-sided. Mandrill immediately weakened Aegis with his dastardly Voltaic Stunner and maintained almost total control. I think I may only of had a couple of rolls on Aegis’s offensive charts during the rest of the bout. Mandrill kept his biggest moves on ice. Choosing to go for MUTANT MAULER regularly. It is what gives him the victory. It’s very disappointing for the crowd to see their hero beaten in such a manner. It wasn’t too far from being labelled as a squash. Hopefully Aegis won’t be eating humble pie for long. It’s what happens at the main event that matters most. Of course Mandrill was in a massive bragging mood after this.
Rebel Empire over Max Shield and Genocide by DQ. Both sides looking for a psychological advantage ahead the GALACTICON main event. The Colonizer-ROC rivalry is the most intense of them all. However nothing is solved here. Was an entertaining back and forth battle at first. The highlight being Vendetta trying to match Genocide in a power contest and failing miserably. The resultant monster choke slam evidence of that. Ultimately it descends into chaos. Max Shield found himself on the outside of the ring with Sentry bearing down on him. Sentry decided to charge him only to bounce off Max’s forcefield. The stun gun went loose and Max instinctively grabbed it. Urged by the crowd he blasted both Nefarus and Vendetta leaving them in a state of temporary paralysis. A great moment but not good for the result for the ref disqualified Max. Some refs have been criticised on Centra for being a bit too trigger happy with the disqualifications. On this occasion the ref had no choice.
Painmaster defeated Trench by DQ. Would Trench look like a fish out of water in a singles match? He still had the hulking presence of Warfare at ringside. Hopefully to neutralise Sentry. Doesn’t help him though. Painmaster’s experience too much for him. Trench was fortunate not to be beaten via THE TORTURE RACK. Warfare had extended his longevity in the match. However it still looked as if Trench was on a path to defeat. Not a clean one as it turned out as Warfare kept getting too physically involved despite repeated warnings from the ref. Although the DQ when it came was quite abrupt. Painmaster makes noises afterwards about wanting to face Corporal Aegis one-on-one. Will Mandrill let him off the leash?
Vyper cantered to a win against Dreggs. This had the potential for both partners to be at ringside and spoil the match. Some relief when neither shows. Dreggs was wearing his half of the tag belts to which Vyper taunts “make the most of it”. A long thin snake is coiled round his own body. It slithers further down and settles round the waist to form a snake belt. Dreggs laughs “you’re trying to intimidate the wrong guy, I’m not afraid of snakes. In fact I’ve been dealing with them all my life”. Perhaps subconsciously it did unsettle him though as he loses big time. Just 3 moves in finding himself stuck in a Scorpion Death Lock for a torturous amount of time. Once released Vyper then needed one more move to win and that was his finisher VYPER’S SIDESHOW. He then puts the snake all over Dreggs who was too hurt to react to it. Hope things are closer when Twin Blood faces Lethal Lottery at GALACTICON proper.
Titan Attack keep their winning run going against 3rd Planet. The Titan duo still treading water until their deserving chance of a title shot comes. Until then they are chasing their tenth win in a row. 3rd Planet are determined to stop them. Well maybe not Tough Guy. He doesn’t look like he gives a sh*t. Anyway it’s another masterclass from the Titans. They dominate large parts of the match. Only criticism is that despite unloading all their finishers against both members of 3rd Planet they were struggling to get the actual pin. It allowed Mike Fortune to almost get a smash and grab pin on Ursa Major during the brief time he got on top. Fortunately Ursa Major responded and got the Titans their deserved victory via a vertical suplex that took all the wind out of Fortune. The fact both Fortune and Tough Guy had 10 fatigue tokens between them at the climax shows just how dominant the Titans had been.
Dark Justice mauled Prodigy. For a shot at the Centra belt at GALACTICON. Prodigy looks mega pissed that he’s even having to go through this. A sideshow is the two managers Thantos and Krakan being close to each other. They shared an uneasy alliance for years as wrestlers. Just about showing tolerance (apart from 2087 when Krakan unsuccessfully challenged Thantos for villain leadership in my fed). Since entering the managerial game their paths have rarely crossed. Krakan ended up being the smug one by the end of this. Prodigy just didn’t turn up and got an ass kicking. Thantos then ended up getting ejected for trying to interfere. There was no saving Prodigy as he felt SHOCK PROBATION (for the third time in the match). With that Justice goes onto the Centra championship match and Prodigy might not even end up being a part of the event unless he can squeeze himself onto the undercard.
Mutant wins a messy one over Grovel. Much like the old Mutant-Creeper feud this is probably going to become everyone’s guilty pleasure to see these two creatures matched up. It’s not the first time they’ve met on Centra although it doesn’t seem to be in their memory banks. They start by sniffing each other suspiciously. Then something triggers in Mutant’s brain and it lets out a moan before trying to take a bite out of Grovel. After that it’s carnage. Grovel is slightly stronger during the course of it but has no finishing moves and suffers for that. Then Mutant wins an outside brawl which most people would have put money on ending in a DQ. Only it didn’t and the action returned to the ring where Mutant pounced with TEMPLE GRINDER twice in a row. Reading Grovel’s actions aren’t easy although the ref took its violently slapping of the mat as a submission signal and called it as such. Would Grovel benefit with more guidance from Krakan? Unfortunately Krakan is treating it much like he has done with Mutant in years gone by. No real care or concern. Although it must be said the Terrorists are not much better with Mutant.
Supernova wins a fast paced match over Anaxis. Supernova has still not given up hope of being ladies champion again despite stumbling several times this year. She realises the need to dust herself down and start again. A good thing is she’s stopped trying to contact Bloodline and get through to him. That is an unwanted distraction. She now simply says “I have no brother here with me on Centra”. Longtime rival Anaxis gives her plenty to think about though. She is feeling pretty liberated herself after years of being treated like a doormat by Heracles. It hasn’t toned down her heelish traits as she demonstrates with an attack before the bell to try and catch Supernova off balance. Supernova is ready for it though and takes total control for the first few minutes. Several pin attempts ensure Anaxis is suitably fatigued. However Supernova’s reluctance to go for her finisher gives Anaxis a chance to get a foothold. Nearly getting a win against of the run of the action via CALL OF THE SIREN after Supernova dawdled on a deathjump. Although Anaxis has a decent spell Supernova is able to shock her by winning an outside brawl. She now realises it is best to take the chance of her finisher and with SPEED OF LIGHT gets the pin. A big confidence booster which will stand her in good stead for GALACTICON where she will team with her on off friend Amazonia against the despicable Hellions.

CARD 1128 – GALACTICON 24 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
ROC beats the Colonizers of Centra in an epic Aethran Ultimate Escape match that went right to the wire. The match everyone’s been waiting for finally arrives. Safe noise levels probably breached by the crowd as the ROC come out. The cage can barely contain all the bodies once they are in. So often things boil over before things officially start. However everyone is aware that conservation of energy could be key. So they all line up on opposite sides to each other. Everyone wonders who might start this off. After what seemed an age but was probably only 30 seconds Max Shield steps forward for ROC. In response Vendetta steps forwards for the Colonizers. Of course the switches of personnel in the middle came thick and fast but this was the thumbnail for the main event as Max stood before Vendetta. Little did we know just how close this would go. Here’s how it played out … Painmaster escaped against Genocide. After a cautious opening fall it took Genocide entering the action for a prolonged period to light things up. Trouble is it wasn’t with intended effect. Bizarrely he struggles against Painmaster and lets him slip out the cage after being smashed into the side and then struck with a guillotine leg drop … Genocide atones very quickly as he escapes against Vendetta albeit needing two hits with CORPUS GENOCIDE. He even foiled a save by picking Vendetta up and throwing him like a lawn dart straight into Nefarus. Vendetta bitterly regrets having a stab at Genocide as he’d come up woefully short … Nefarus recovered to get out against Trench. During this fall Wraith had really done a number on Corporal Aegis. There was concern for his health in the latter part of the match … Vendetta manages to give the Colonizers a solid lead as be beats Max Shield. Escaping after a wild brawl which saw the outnumbered Colonizers get the better of it. Not helped by Warfare accidentally knocking Max over like a tenpin … Max Shield gives the ROC hope as he beats Wraith. A forearm smash did the damage … Trench gets out against Wraith after a spinning DDT. During this fall a huge battle between Warfare and Wraith took centre stage. The huge Warfare is tough as nails but not really had the chance to show what he can do so far in the GWFC. However tonight he has proved his worth by taking hits so he could weaken Wraith. A real martyr for the cause. Although Mandrill wrecked the escape the SWAT Team earlier thrilled fans with their TRENCH WARFARE finisher on Wraith … Mandrill beats Warfare with a Prime Piledriver. Remarkably Mandrill had kept himself freshest of everyone and didn’t have fatigue token on him at the time of his escape. Guess that’s his greater experience at play. What a finish though as Wraith now on his lonesome to try and defeat Aegis and Warfare. Every one of them looking dead on their feet … Warfare has another colossal scrap with Wraith. He has really come of age tonight as he prevails. Wraith tried to surprise him with a Now You See It Clothesline as Warfare was against the turnbuckle. Warfare somehow dodged and Wraith ran straight into metal. Warfare was able to clamber out the cage and leave Aegis one-on-one against Wraith. Both struggling but Aegis with the advantage. How fitting it would be if he could be the one to win this match given his standing on Centra … Corporal Aegis finishes the whole thing off as he knocks Wraith out with a single arm DDT. Triggers a scene of mass jubilation throughout the Palladium. Aegis is joined outside the cage by his team. He stands tall amongst his peers. This was his night!
Heavyweight champ, Terminus, loses to Wolf by DQ in a match officiated by Massif. Once again Massif is brought in to troubleshoot. Commissioner Morpheus has great trust in him. He doesn’t want the big matches at this first Centra based GALACTICON to end in chaos. Given the history between Terminus and Wolf there was a high probability of that happening. Although one can argue the earlier barbed cage match was pretty chaotic. It was great to hear Wolf getting such a big pop. The early months when his form was patchy saw the crowd struggling to warm to him. Now they’d seen what he was all about they realise he why he was so popular in the known dimension. The heat is definitely still there between the two wrestlers. Massif is forced to push them apart. He is determined to make himself heard and set the tone. Thantos doesn’t escape either as Massif’s final word is directly for him. Would Thantos take the warning on board? Massif has been known to physically punish wrestlers and managers in the past for their transgressions. Sadly it comes to be that Massif confronts Thantos. Match was barely a few minutes old and not really got going. Wolf ended up voluntarily on the outside. Probably looking for a good brawl to spice things up. Only Massif didn’t like the proximity of Thantos. Fully expecting him to attack Wolf. Massif came outside too and physically asserted himself. Thantos bumped off Massif’s huge chest. Terminus got all defensive of his manager and started arguing with Massif. Something he was made to regret as Massif began to pummel him. With Terminus taken care of and Thantos at a safe distance Massif walked over to the timekeeper’s table and rang the bell himself. He then grabbed the floating mic and boomed “nobody questions my authority, Terminus is disqualified”. Dissapointing outcome for the crowd but nobody was more disappointed than Wolf. His chance to win the belt ruined. Only he knew better than to appeal with Massif in this mood. He maybe one of the greatest hardcore icons in history but he’s not stupid. Surely he’ll get another shot. Just not in a show with the same splendour as GALACTICON. In fact Morpheus confirmed he will before the day was done via a Centra Spacebook posting.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, successfully defend against Lethal Lottery in a Titan Death match. Risky title defence for Twin Blood gets even riskier as officials fail to confiscate Arsenal from Splatter. A couple tried and nearly got their heads taken off by it. Any further attempts are then foiled by Vyper placing his large snake in the runway. There was a sense of forboding about all this. Twin Blood’s confidence had already been dented earlier this month with an unexpected loss in a non-title match against the Ninja Assassins. The bookies were favouring Lethal Lottery. Even allowing for Lethal Lottery sustaining injuries earlier on. Dragonmaster on commentary added “if it is to be end of their title run then it was a solid one but maybe change is good though”. Twin Blood looked as if they were about to make DM eat those words with a high octane start that had Lethal Lottery rocking. They were in perfect synchronisation. The match on paper may of favoured Lethal Lottery. However Twin Blood gives them very little chance to get going. It’s clear Lethal Lottery are far more hurt from their earlier botched lottery attack than thought. Splatter is slow and never got anywhere near his weapon. He became the main focus of Twin Blood’s offence and ultimately submitted to TWIST AND SHOUT from Dreggs. Vyper’s interferences were cleverly foiled by Sleeze who had bravely picked up his snake and taken it backstage. A few screams were heard behind the curtain when he did. Vyper was too distracted by this to assist Splatter. He was too busy hobbling up the runway to try and see what had become of his pet.
Centra champ, Code Enforcer Manslaughter, resists the challenge of Dark Justice in a Lepus Stun Rod match. To say Manslaughter has been taking this match seriously is an understatement. As part of his preparations he has been getting zapped with a Stun Rod daily to try and get used to the shock and pain. Good idea but he’s been hampered by not knowing who he’d be facing until just a week ago when Justice beat Prodigy. Of course Justice had an advantage. His illegal rod means he is very adept at using them. The one he usually uses may not be electrified but its size, weight and shape is similar. Would Justice use his trusty weapon or wait for the more potent rods to become available? Or just use both? The answer was neither as practise paid off for Manslaughter. He was mostly on offence when the holster light went off and made efficient use of the rod to chip away at Justice’s reserves. He also wasn’t shy about using his finishers at any opportunity. The only good thing to say about Justice’s performance was how he held as long as he did. However the punishment never really relented. Manslaughter got it done in the end. After thrusting the rod right into Justice’s gut he followed up with HEADS WILL ROLL again to hold onto the Centra belt.
Desolation Factor crushed Malice and Overkill in a Barbed Wire Cosmic Cage match. Finally we would have an outright winner. So many of their meetings have ended in DQ. It was even the same at GALACTICON 23. The cage setting is an absolute necessity. Rack and Ruin were breathing a bit heavy having just been involved in that wild lumberjack brawl in the last match. However just the sight of Malice and Overkill trooping out galvanises them. Rack grabs one of the cage sides between the barbs and starts shaking it violently in anticipation. There is no calming him down. The Gladiators can barely get into the cage when he is attacking him. Malice almost falls back through the door under the barrage of blows immediately. The door hadn’t been shut and by the rules of a cage match that would have been a win for the Gladiators. Anyway that weird and disappointing outcome was avoided and the match commenced. Much blood was then spilt as the teams traded momentum. Plenty of times all four of them threw out the tag team rulebook to wildly brawl. This pattern eventually broken as gasps are heard by the fans nearest the barbed cage side where a big battle is taking place. They can hear things starting to snap. The joins of the cage fail and the entire side tumbles towards the ground. Only the high crowd barrier stopped it smashing right down onto those in the first couple of rows. Rather than hesitate Ruin uses it to his advantage by bodyslamming Malice onto it. Malice was pinned onto the barbs. As he tried to pick himself up his back was getting torn to shreds. That took so much out of Malice. He then got a face full of the barbed sides a couple more times after this shocking incident and was then easily pinned via RACKED AND RUINED. This was a huge jolt for the Gladiators to lose in such a big match and with such ease. Although Malice was the one pinned Overkill was so ineffective too and looking in desperate need for a cleansing. Trouble is out here on Centra there’s no chance of that happening. Of course there are always casualties in this kind of match and Malice sustains a 2 card injury.
Paragon against Bloodline gets called off after their Hydra Lumberjack match descends into an uncontrollable brawl. Absurd start as Detective Quidun delays the start of the match so he can get finger prints from everyone. Why was he waiting til now? Leads to him getting heckled by some of the crowd. The lumberjacks get so bored some of them end up brawling and the match hasn’t even started. Many of them battle up the runway and out of sight. We don’t see them again til much later. All that’s left initially is Prodigy and Mace on the side of Bloodline. Whilst for Paragon he just has Enigma. Johnny Rocket is forced to join him as a reluctant lumberjack. There were plenty of highlights. The biggest of which was when Prodigy used THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER on Paragon outside the ring and then fed him back to Bloodline to finish him. Bloodline blew it big time by missing with BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG. After this the missing lumberjacks all started to wander back. Things getting more and more tense until they all started brawling again. Only this time it was in the ring and even more chaotic than before. The ref tried to restore order but was left with no choice but to call the match off.
Pegasus is lucky to beat Thunder by DQ. Before being given his singles push Thunder always fared very well in solo action on the rare occasions it happened. However on Centra, since it became official, it has been disastrous. A promising run in the Centra tournament but since then loss after loss. It’s not that he’s been wresting badly though. Many think he should of posted wins against Pegasus and Euritar before now. Anyway he broke the losing run against Sir Ender (who wouldn’t!) and is now bragging he is ready to finally beat Pegasus. Brute was on hand to try and make that happen despite the best efforts of Commando Sam to stop him. Thankfully Sam and Pegasus seemed to be on good terms again and working together. Would it be enough to stop a Gladiator in this mood though? Perhaps not. The two juggernauts fought an epic match. Eventually it seemed to be going the way of Thunder and he starts to use his finisher THE TEMPEST a number of times. By the fourth one a twitchy Sam storms in to save Pegasus. He’d tried to resist as long as he could. It was such an effective run in that it turned the match on its head. From a position of certain defeat Pegasus was about to pin Thunder after PROJECT PEGASUS. This prompted an angry reaction from Brute. First he smashed Sam with the Aethran casque. Then he entered the ring and wiped Pegasus out from behind with a clothesline. Almost collecting the ref in the process. Instant DQ ruled. You can never feel sorry for a Gladiator but it was harsh on Thunder. He’d been brilliant tonight. Sam later defends his actions “Brute attacked Pegasus earlier in the match when he was outside the ring, as soon as that happens all bets are off”. Maybe he had a point.
Vengeance easily beats Code Enforcer Euritar. Vengeance is secretly hoping he can win and Thunder loses in the next match. That is the ideal scenario to boost his standing on the Gladiator team. He goes down the psychological warfare route with Euritar to unsettle him. Imploring him to remove his mask and show his true self. Commando Sam has seen it all before and shouts out “don’t do it, he’s trying to get inside your head”. Vengeance gives off one of those evil grins he so often does. It always hides a sinister intent. He goes on to use his vile Eye Cleaver to weaken a lethargic Euritar and then HELTER SKELTER comes. Three of them in a row. Too much for Euritar to handle. Sam agonises on whether to interfere. He decides against it as doesn’t want to be seen to be getting involved without a good reason. As a result Euritar slips to defeat in what had been a surprisingly short match. Vengeance decides to spare Euritar the embarrassment of an unmasking. His mind was already wandering towards possible future riches. His claim on championship gold has been seriously strengthened off the back of this. If Thunder stumbles in the next match surely Brute will have to give him the big singles push.
The Clones defeated Theatre of Pain by DQ in a wacky match. This might have been better confined to a circus than a wrestling ring. In fact the Clones have arranged special clown music for their entrance. They both come down the runway on tricycles juggling eggs on their entrance. Theatre of Pain tries to outdo them. Tragedy bursts through a wall next to the ring curtain (it’s just a hologramatic effect) whilst Comedy shows off a trapeze act in the rafters and drops right into the middle of the ring between the Clones. They dismount their tricycles and pelt Comedy with eggs. By the time Tragedy arrives to support him Comedy is covered head to toe in yolk. Tragedy then slips on some of it and goes down hard. What a farcical start. The crowd is thoroughly entertained though. Oh yes. There was a match too. Not much wrestling as Defender, Jester and Comedy focused more on playing tricks and trying get laughs out of the crowd. One guy that wasn’t in the mood for any nonsense was Tragedy. Under that mask he’s probably never cracked a smile in his life. Growing irritated by all the tomfoolery he decides to pick up one of the tricycles parked in the runway and swings at Defender. He then stamps the other one out of shape causing Jester to cry and laugh at the same time. The ref decides that warranted a DQ and brings the curtain down on a very odd match.
Grunge over Skinhead by forfeit. Fans get on Grunge’s back as he tries to get under Johnny Rocket’s skin by dragging a Nora Pelf dummy out to the ring. However when Skinhead is announced they begin to cheer loudly and will him to teach Grunge a lesson. Skinhead has been a bit of a crowd favourite on Centra. They like his edgy partying style. Trouble is in recent weeks that hasn’t been a good thing. He can barely go past a bar without a fan beckoning him in and buying a drink. He’s got no willpower and has fallen out of many bars in the early hours. There have even been brushes with the law. Desperate men do desperate things and Skinhead fails to show here. A last minute booking into rehab to purge the drinking habit out of his system. Except he failed to tell anyone so he no shows and Grunge goes over him by forfeit. Poor Johnny Rocket was shattered as he’d been running round like a looney looking for him. He knows the value of a win at this event. Ultimately there was nothing he could do. Grunge celebrates like he’d won a key match. Playing air guitar and making disgusting obscene gestures to the crowd. One particularly riled Johnny as Grunge grabbed the Nora Pelf dummy and pretended to hump it.
Spike overcomes Lance At-Las in a powerful performance. Couple of golden oldies with plenty of past successes. Nowadays they have slowed down somewhat although there is nothing slow about the way they went about this. There was a silent respect backed up by the fact neither wanted either of their managers at ringside. It was just a good old fashioned battle. Lance was the underdog but threatened an upset with his finisher MARS MANHANDLER after a really good start. Unfortunately Spike kicked out and grew in stature. Dragonmaster on commentary was well into the swing of things, getting more and more excited until he famously screams “wow, that’s gotta hurt”. That was in response to Spike nailing MEGADESTROYER. It may of lost a bit but still remains one of the most famed and potent finishers around. Lance deserved respect for surviving it once. However he was toast after the second one.
Blade and Archon win quite easily over Anarchy and Tortured Soul. Pretty quick. Anarchy never got any involvement. Blade and Archon had Tortured Soul’s number. Barely a couple of minutes gone when it was beaten with ARCHON SLEEP CLAMP. Then came the drama as the Brymstonian duo wanted to continue things. Whilst Archon tries to fend off Tortured Soul we see Anarchy make a move on Blade. Maleph has dropped a chair into the ring and Anarchy now has it. Blade backs away to the turnbuckle but his path is blocked. As Blade braces for impact Lorelei comes into the ring brandishing a spear shouting “leave my boy alone”. The tip is thrust right onto Anarchy’s neck as a warning. Archon obligingly drops the chair and slowly leaves the ring. Lorelei’s action leads her into another conflict with Archon who has managed to deal with Tortured Soul by now. With the match now over and done with they engage in a very public argument. You can see the delight on Maleph’s face as he beckons Anarchy and Tortured Soul away. They could have made another post match attack quite easily but preferred to let the Centaurians tear themselves apart. Neither Lorelei or Archon were backing down. It took Blade, almost in tears, to pull his mother away. Eventually she relents and the two walk down the runway hugging and sobbing. A very distressing moment.
Rising Sun gets an eyecatching win over Mayhem. Bit more like it for Rising Sun. Having been unhappy with the level of recent opponents he’d put a lot of pressure on Lord Nexus to get him a bigger gig here at GALACTICON. Mayhem certainly fit the bill. Except Mayhem is now the unhappy one having wanted to be nearer the top of the card and involved in one of the hardcore matches. Clearly he is very low down the Gladiator pecking order nowadays. Both make the best of it and serve up a pretty cool match befitting this great event. It’s Rising Sun who prevails as he makes a comeback to win via SUNSET SPECTACULAR. There is post match drama as Splatter and Vyper try for a lottery attack (not seen one of these for a while). It goes hideously wrong and Arsenal ends up in the hands of Rising Sun. Mayhem thought he might be the target and shoulder charged Splatter from behind causing Arsenal to go loose. Rising then lays both Splatter and Vyper out and casts doubt on their being able to wrestle later on. Normally Lord Nexus would not approve but as it was self defence he supports Rising’s actions.
Hellions defeated Supernova and Amazonia. Amazonia’s quest to face men has gone quiet. However maybe she’ll get another gimmicky match after this. An entertaining bout came to end with Hunger beating Supernova via ABDOMINAL HUNGER. It was a shame because Supernova had almost pinned Hunger a few mins before that after SPEED OF LIGHT. Amazonia was a bit too slow to help Supernova as she was nursing the effects of WOMEN’S SUFFERAGE from much earlier on. Anyway out of nowhere and with the Hellions long gone Sir Ender tries to make a name for himself and gallops to the ring to help Amazonia and Supernova. Shouts his catchphrase ‘Sir Ender to the rescue’ as he clumsily enters the ring only to end up getting beaten up by both Amazonia and Supernova. He still doesn’t realise he is a laughing stock and truly believes his gimmick is over with the fans. They love it when Amazonia lays him out with her shield.
DARK MATCHES
Prodigy has to raise his game to beat Soulwatcher. Bold of Soulwatcher to return to action so soon. He lost a lot of blood in that savaging by Draconian Sheik. His opponent, Prodigy, looks disinterested to be saddled with this dark match before the main show. He could have been competing for the Centra belt! The only way he’s getting on TV now is later as a lumberjack. Anyway the Soulwatcher wrestles a really good match. The guy is underrated and comes close to an upset after THE REVELATION (it was a dangerously low roll on Prodigy’s pin). It took a hefty collision with the turnbuckle to halt the Soulwatcher’s momentum. Once that happened Prodigy took over. Unloaded most of his repertoire and THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER (it took two of them) ensured this banana skin was avoided.
Nth Degree crushed Son of Ram. The show is underway with an interesting match as an extension to the Animen Invasion-Transformer feud. Animen Invasion has done far better than expected but Son of Ram on his own was out of his depth against this monster. Got beaten in just 3 moves via PIN USING ROPES then suffered a minor injury (just the 1 card) as Nth Degree, on Doomsayer’s instruction, delivered repeated head butts after the bell.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2110 CARDS 1125– 1128)
Champions:
* GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Terminus (Top Contender: Wolf) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Ninja Assassins or Rebel Empire) * GWFC Centra Champ: Code Enforcer Manslaughter (Top Contender: Prodigy) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Sniper (Top Contender: Taechon or Ms. Liberty)
Latest News:
More Archon-Lorelei heat. Archon has issued an ultimatum to Lorelei and that is stay away from ringside or he will leave the team. Lorelei pleads “Crossfire dying hurt you but he was my son. You cannot understand the depth of pain I feel. That’s why I acted like that to protect Blade”. Archon still will not condone her actions. “your loss all those years ago was a terrible tragedy, we all still hurt but that does not give an excuse for your actions”. Naturally Blade is hardest hit. He looks up to Archon as a mentor and father figure but blood is thicker than water and he supports his mother.
The Soulwatcher getting a bit of a storyline going. Calls Draconian Sheik “work of the devil”. Clearly it’s all black and white with this guy. There’s no inbetween. He’s a bit like Archon only not nearly as intense. The trigger point was the sad scene where the Soulwatcher faced Draconian Sheik and he had to be helped away at the end with blood pouring from his forehead. The crucifix that is so sacred to him used to inflict the injury. The scar now on his head maybe hidden under a mask but will serve as a permanent reminder of what happened. Commissioner Morpheus wants to suspend Draconian Sheik but the Soulwatcher has asked him not to because that will delay being able to get into the ring with him. It’s a tough one for the Commissioner because doing nothing sends a message to villains that they could get away with brutal attacks. However he is quietly impressed with the Soulwatcher’s spirit and very aware of the cult following he has.
Busy month for the bumbling Sir Ender. On top of his tales of nincompoopery (sorry bravery) he managed to get himself duped by the Gladiators. Truly believing that they see him as a possible future member but need to see him in close combat regularly. So basically he is now going to be their cannon fodder for the foreseeable future. He also got himself beaten on by Amazonia and now finds himself stepping in the ring with her very soon. Sir Ender says of the match “I would never strike a woman but Amazonia is no woman. She is a man trapped in a women’s body. I am ready to teach her a lesson inside that ring”.
Reynard B. Guile stormed into Commissioner Morpheus’s office straight after the Ninja Assassins upset Twin Blood in a non-title match. He was demanding a title shot and went as far as to demand the GALACTICON tag title match between Twin Blood and Lethal Lottery be changed. Morpheus tried to send B. Guile away at first. In the end he reached an agreement that if the Ninja Assassins can beat Twin Blood in another non-title match next month then the shot is theirs. If they fail then the title shot goes to Rebel Empire.
Skinhead is in rehab for the next month. His partying lifestyle was getting out of control. He no showed at GALACTICON leading to Grunge getting a forfeit win. Johnny Rocket is not happy he didn’t tell him as it meant the team receives a fine. However he is trying to be supportive. Skinhead’s many fans have posted lots of get well messages. Johnny will also be keen to get back at Grunge for his actions after being awarded the win. His bringing out a dummy Nora Pelf doll and disrespectfully humping it made Johnny’s blood boil. In fact so much as that Johnny said he’ll even step into the ring himself to face Grunge.
Detective Quidun stood ringside at most of the matches at GALACTICON observing and looking for clues. Then mingling among the wrestlers at the event after party. Claims that he has been thrown off the scent by sabotage of evidence gathered and is back to square one. Leads to many starting to label the incompetent investigation as a joke.
FALLOUT FROM GALACTICON … Where to start? The collapse of the barbed cage wall during the Desolation Factor-Malice and Overkill match is one of the most shocking moments in GWF/GWFC history. Normally it would of been the main talking point only it got overshadowed by the incredible victory of the ROC over the Colonizers in the Aethran Ultimate Escape match main event (luckily the cage stayed intact for this). Deep down nobody really thought they could do it. Aegis says “it was an amazing night but we must not relax. The Colonizer threat is not suddenly going to go away just because we won this match. However I am sure we have Mandrill’s attention now”. Naturally Mandrill is furious. Secretly Painmaster might be happy because Mandrill’s new so called right hand man Wraith was responsible for 4 of the 5 escapes. He had a bad night. Elsewhere the Heavyweight title match was a dud. Massif was brought in so it could flow. Only he got too overbearing and ended up pummelling Terminus for questioning his authority. Commissioner Morpheus was angry at the poor match. Rather than blame Massif he pins it on Terminus and Thantos. As a form of punishment he is expected to rule that Terminus face Wolf again next month but if he comes through still as champion he will have to defend again in the same month against one of Corporal Aegis or Genocide. It will be a miracle if he ends it still as Heavyweight champion. Another dissapointing outcome was the lumberjack match between Paragon and Bloodline. Things got so wild that the ref had to abandon it. They must now schedule a rematch. It wasn’t a good night for the Gladiators as they went up against the FDF. Losing both of the key matches against the FDF. The only ones emerging with any honour was Spike winning the golden oldies battle with Lance At-Las and also Vengeance who destroyed Euritar to thrust himself into the championship reckoning. Will he get given the big singles push ahead of Thunder now? Especially as the chosen ones of Thunder, Malice and Overkill all stumbled. What else? Well there was a big mess up from Lethal Lottery. Looking to turn up the heat in their feud with the Titans they tried to attack Rising Sun after he beat Mayhem. They ended up getting smashed up themselves and the injuries seriously hampered them when they came to face Twin Blood later. In fact the injuries were so bad that they could still be feeling them in 6 cards time! The final big talking point was what happened between the Centaurians and Brymstonians. Not so much for the match itself but what happened after. For a reminder on this refer back to the top of this latest news section.
INJURED – Son of Ram (1), Malice (2), Splatter (6), Vyper (6); SUSPENDED – none; REHAB – Skinhead (4)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
MANDRILL - Despite his team losing to ROC at GALACTICON Mandrill still looked very strong. Knocking off Corporal Aegis and Warfare with ease. Honorable mentions go to Vengeance (for the way he carved up Euritar) and Sniper (who continues to look unbeatable as the ladies champ).
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
DESOLATION FACTOR - Any win against the Gladiators is a big deal. The fact they did it in a brutal barbed wire cage match with such authority at an event of that magnitude makes them obvious winners of the award. It has caused a big embarrassment to Malice and Overkill.

Poor Vendetta cops Genocide’s anger and loses to CORPUS GENOCIDE … Nefarus slips out against Trench … Vendetta defeated Max Shield … Max Shield overcomes Wraith via a forearm smash … Trench escapes and it was also against Wraith after a spinning DDT … Mandrill overcomes Warfare after a Prime Piledriver … Warfare does the deed against Wraith who missed a big move to eat metal … Corporal Aegis makes the glorious final escape after nailing Wraith with a single arm DDT)

CARD 1129 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS: Primus is fast becoming a breeding ground for undesirables. Primitives still rule the roost through weight of numbers although more and more of the criminal element of Centra are migrating here to evade authorities. It is becoming an extremely dangerous place to come to. Interestingly about a mile from the site of the Lava Pit matches the primitives have set up some kind of shrine to Grovel. They lack intelligence but seem to have constructed something at the foot of a small volcano with its name childishly carved into it and pictures of Grovel nailed into it. I wonder if they realise the significance of its opponent tonight as Corporal Aegis steps into the dreaded pit to face Grovel in the main event. Corporal Aegis handles Grovel in a Lava Pit match. One of the most fan requested matches was to see somebody on the ROC team go to Primus and face Grovel in this unique style of match. Well Commissioner Morpheus wants to give them what they want and asked the ROC to send a willing combatant. Step forward Corporal Aegis. He will take just about anything on. His mantra is to lead from the front. Nobody else on his team will be a guinea pig. He is also brimming with confidence after the ROC triumphed over the Colonizers and now feels he can beat anyone (including Mandrill, so far he has lost both their one-on-one meetings). Aegis was sure met with some hostility as he clambered into the pit where Grovel was waiting. Somewhere a bugle had sounded which just seemed to attract more of them. The primitives usually throw rocks but this times some were throwing faeces into the pit. Utterly vile and Aegis was unable to avoid it all. Not to be put off he got on with the job at hand. Managed to absorb some early wild assaults from Grovel and then turned the match in his favour by reversing an attempt to throw into the wall of the pit. Aegis has learned not to waste time in going for his finisher when the opportunity presents itself. He initiates the Opening Salvo which leads to CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. It was so effective that Grovel was powerless to stop him escaping pit. Just crouched in a corner and moaned pathetically to itself. Despite the threat of the primitives Aegis got out quite easily. Was a decent win when you consider a legend like Wolf has lost to Grovel this year in this match type. Twin Blood see off Ninja Assassins in a non-title match. If the Ninjas could beat Twin Blood again they’ll get a title shot. It was the Commissioner’s decision. Despite manoeuvring the Ninjas into this position it’s clear they are unimpressed with Reynard B. Guile’s managing of their affairs. They are giving him the silent treatment although they’ve never been big talkers. It’s almost been forgotten that Phantast wants to manage in the GWFC and he could do worse than take the Ninjas on. Anyway that’s all a side issue. The match itself was fast and furious. The Ninjas came out with an incredible early offensive wave and Dreggs was lucky to be still standing after taking DOUBLE EDGE SWORD and DEATH POINT STRIKE in quick succession. Somehow he got a crucial defensive tag in and Sleeze came out flying. Handling both Ninjas with a minimum of fuss. After he’d done considerable damage to Hydrax regular tags were exchanged to bump up the fatigue count. They then linked up for TWICE BITTEN to get Hydrax pinned. Daeman stumbled trying to get there for the pin save and the Ninja’s charge towards to a title shot was over. B. Guile did nothing to endear himself to them either. He was about as useless as a chocolate fireguard to them. Too busy trying to get under Johnny Rocket’s skin or arguing with hecklers in the small crowd.
FDF overcame the Gladiators in a mini Battlezone match. The singles stars of each team take each other on. The only big names not involved are Mayhem and Code Enforcer Manslaughter. They both have other engagements this month. Thunder brags ahead of the meeting that this will be his time to shine. He wants to be first out for the Gladiators so he can score as many wins as possible. However he is disappointed as the order is randomly drawn and he gets the anchor spot. At least maybe a greater chance to score the decisive victory by that placement. Significantly Commando Sam has free rein of the outside. There was no Brute. According to Sam, Brute had met with an unfortunate accident shortly before curtain call. Perhaps the Code Enforcers had done a number on him? Sam promised that with no outside threat he would stay hands off and only coach his troops. It turned into a great contest which was won by the FDF. Here’s how … Code Enforcer Euritar defeated Vengeance to kick it off. Vengeance crushed Euritar as recently as GALACTICON. Euritar wanted revenge and got it. He didn’t let Vengeance get going with any of his sadistic moves and just kept him off balance most of the time. A beautifully executed Enforcer DDT finished him off … Spike levels things up over Code Enforcer Euritar. The trusty old legend delivers for the Gladiators. Euritar seemed to find it hard to adapt from dealing with Vengeance and got consistently overpowered. Spike used MEGADESTROYER to dispose of him … Pegasus eventually gets Spike beaten. Although it was all Pegasus he showed immense frustration. He used PROJECT PEGASUS four times and Spike kicked out every single time. In a strop Pegasus stamped his feet and shouted “why won’t you stay down?” Spike showed amazing endurance and was up to 6 tokens before finally wilting. Pegasus having nailed him with a flying elbow drop … Pegasus closes out the whole thing by beating Thunder by DQ again. Thunder is very charged up. On entering the ring he cracks his knuckles and says “let’s get it on”. It heralds what was a frantic battle. They always are between these two. However Pegasus prevails again. He’d come close in the middle of the match with PROJECT PEGASUS. Unbelievably it failed him again. Thunder was struggling a bit to that point but came on strong after that. Inevitably the longer it went the more likely a brawl would break out. When it did Thunder got too reckless. Tried to use a chair and was swiftly disqualified. Obviously the decision went down well with the crowd but cannot help but feel for Thunder. Obviously has a huge future as a singles wrestler. Just cannot get a break at the moment. I suppose the fortunate thing for him is that Vengeance didn’t fare too well in match at the beginning. So the FDF win with one spare man, Lance At-Las, not seeing action. SWAT Team beats Transformer. Positive signs for the SWAT Team recently. They got their first win on TV last month albeit by DQ and both performed admirably in the big GALACTICON Aethran Ultimate Escape match. Especially the hulking Warfare. However Transformer has also come on strong of late too. Recovering from the embarrassment of losing to Animen Invasion to post some solid wins. It was a very even contest for the first few minutes. Perhaps Transformer looking the more likely. However Monad tagged out to Nth Degree rather than try to go for the kill. Nth Degree relinquished control and the SWAT Team weren’t slow to pounce on his errors. Warfare showed his immense power to toss him around the ring and then Trench came in to finish off. They recognised his DOUBLE ARM DDT would be twice as effective on the two heads of Nth Degree and so it proved. Suddenly the SWAT Team are coming good. Many of their previous losses can probably be put down to naivety but as Trench said afterwards “we are getting the hang of this wrestling lark”. Ms. Liberty in outstanding form to beat Taechon. A date with Sniper awaits the winner. Tough one to call. As time has passed more women have been willing to face the gender neutral Taechon. It’s become clear he/she holds no strength advantage over other women. In fact she’s weaker than most. Instead relying on exceptional martial arts skills. It’s a testament to both of them that they face each other to earn a title shot. They have outperformed much bigger names like Supernova, Amazonia and Thrash in recent weeks. Someone’s good form had to come to an end and it was Taechon’s. She simply got blown away by Ms. Liberty. Probably among her best ever matches as she just went for it immediately. Match lasted only 2 or 3 minutes but in that time there were countless pin attempts and THE LIBERATOR (which was the winning move) was used 3 times. It would be amazing if Ms. Liberty can win the title. She’s actually done it twice in the past but is not listed as a former champion because of the strict rule that you have to of made at least one successful title defence. Something she’d love to put right. It’s going to take a hell of an effort to beat Sniper but if she repeats tonight it might just be possible.
Dark Justice has a torrid time in beating Dreadnaught. Time for everyone to hold their breath again as Dreadnaught is back in the ring. Panting and wheezing as always. Justice wasn’t about to tread carefully. When asked by Trisis why he’d take the risk of wrestling someone so fragile he dismissively said “if he dies in the ring with me so be it, I won’t have a guilty conscience”. The fact he was once a brief tag partner of Dreadnaught as Retribution many years ago has no effect on him. Dreadnaught was not even spared the presence of Krakan at ringside. He was there ready to exert influence and callously says “if Dreadnaught dies then I want a ringside seat”. Their complacency nearly comes back to bite them in a surprisingly competitive and very exciting contest. Justice dominated the early minutes and there were a couple of worrying moments for me as i had to roll for a possible consultation of the death chart twice. Each time I was just one number away. However Dreadnaught was like a zombie in this one. Kept getting up and coming at Justice. He even come close to a massive shock victory after GUIDED MISSILE. There was then another close pin after Superpunch Howitzer. Krakan looked very uncomfortable watching this and gave Justice plenty of rollickings. Dreadnaught then fatally went for a deathjump. He was so unsteady up there and Justice was able to get over and throw him off the turnbuckle. Justice then followed with a backward head slam and finally was able to get Dreadnaught pinned. A worried official entered the ring to check Dreadnaught after this as he wasn’t moving. He approached pensively and gave a little nudge. Dreadnaught suddenly sat up which gave him a fright. With the help of the ropes Dreadnaught got himself up and staggered away like a drunkard. Yay, Dreadnaught lives to fight another day!

CARD 1130 – RUINS OF ANTILIA: Wolf goes wild against Terminus to win the Heavyweight belt in a Ruins of Antilia match. Terminus has been doing everything possible to avoid another title defence against with Wolf. He demands as champion he should be consulted over suitable contenders and Wolf, having contributed to their unsatisfying DQ outcome at GALACTICON, should not be considered. He is also unhappy that he is being forced to possibly defend the belt twice in the same month if he comes through this. Commissioner Morpheus takes great delight in reminding Terminus and Thantos that although he may be the champion that gives no right to pick and choose opponents. To annoy Terminus even more Morpheus then moves the goalposts to make it a Ruins of Antilia match at the last minute. Terminus looks pretty fed up as the match time finally arrives. He gets even more glum as Wolf plays mind games. One period in the contest saw Wolf head out into the ruins and play a game of hide and seek. As Terminus searched around the dark environment Wolf was letting off howls and throwing objects across the ground. Terminus had no idea which ruin Wolf was hid behind and from what direction he might get attacked. When Wolf eventually sprang out it took Terminus by complete surprise and gave him a big upper hand. Wolf was in one of those moods where it looked like nothing would stop him winning. He got the action back into the ring and although there was some trading of momentum Wolf was getting closer and closer to getting his famous finisher locked on. Finally it happened with SAVAGE FACE CLAW being applied after Terminus rebounded violently off a turnbuckle. For added effect Wolf dragged Terminus outside with the hold still applied. Terminus had no choice but to follow. He was then driven into a crumbling wall several times. All the time Wolf still keeping him in the claw. The impacts damaged his own hand too. Then Wolf dragged the limp body of Terminus back to the ring and pinned him right in the centre. He was the new champion. It’s not a setting to celebrate so Wolf simply grabbed his newly acquired belt without any fanfare and left. Within hours there was speculating over whether Wolf would now defend his belt at SATURDAY SKIRMISH on #132 against Genocide who was the next planned challenger for Terminus. No question that Wolf would be up for it. Only sticking point is Morpheus. He prefers heroes against villains especially where title matches are concerned. Ladies champ, Sniper, barely gets over the line against Ms. Liberty. Sniper’s title run has been nothing short of incredible. Now up to 45 cards and closing in on 50. That’s over a year as the champion. When she arrived there was obvious talent but nobody expected her to dominate the women’s division like she has. Add to that her potentially interesting backstory with Krakan (still unrevealed) and she’s quite a character. In fact Krakan was in Antilia for 3rd Planet’s match earlier on and they’d crossed paths. A heated argument broke out and Sniper shouted “just you wait, I’ll blow your cover when you least expect”. Krakan looked like he might strike her for a moment before realising eyes were in him and instead storming off to the nearest teleporter. It would have been interesting to see how Tough Guy might of reacted to it as rumour has it that he has the hots for Sniper. Worries that might unsettle Sniper for her title defence prove to be the case as she comes dangerously close to losing her belt. It was probably a case of Sniper being off her game a bit and Ms. Liberty being in great form. Sniper missed a deathjump after a few minutes and Ms. Liberty pounced with THE LIBERATOR twice in a row. Last gasp kick out from Sniper on the second one. Ms. Liberty continued dishing the punishment until Sniper turned it around during an outside brawl. However she found Ms. Liberty showing similar resolve as she fired off TARGET PRACTICE three times over the next few minutes but couldn’t get the pin. The tide turned again and Ms. Liberty got a head of steam up. It was hinted that Commando Sam was on standby to bring her young son, Adam, out to the ring should she pull it off. Sadly we will never know as Ms. Liberty did the same as Sniper did earlier and missed a deathjump. Her fall was worse and added to the earlier punishment taken it finally saw her off. Sniper looked relieved to of survived this defence and acknowledged the battle she had by saying later “that was my toughest title defence yet”.
Max Shield goes over Painmaster in a Castor Chain match. Max is living in the shadow of Corporal Aegis and Genocide on Centra. He is happy to play a supporting role though and Aegis often leans on him for advice. Tonight Aegis has asked him to take care of Painmaster and Max was happy to oblige. It was Max’s idea to make it a Castor Chain match. Painmaster wasn’t keen on the special stipulation but doesn’t want to look like a coward to Mandrill as he desperately tries to show he is a more worthy right hand man than Wraith. As soon as the chain attaches to Painmaster’s wrist he pulls Max towards him. Max resists and we have a tug of war spot to start the match. That lasts about a minute with neither gaining much traction until Max suddenly releases the tension causing Painmaster to embarrassingly fall backwards. It sets the tone for Painmaster. He fights hard but always looks second best. Neither was shy about using the chain. Max just had the better moves. Probably should have won earlier than he did. His MAXIMUM IMPACT didn’t pack enough punch to fully incapacitate Painmaster. However he managed to get the chain wrapped around Painmaster’s neck to assist with the potency of a 360 neckbreaker. That did the trick and continues the excellent run the ROC team is having. No question they are currently on top in the feud with the Colonizers after what was an iffy start to the year.
Animen Invasion upset Theatre of Pain. The Clones are still playing games with Theatre of Pain as they show up here and lay various traps. A bucket of water over the top of the entrance to the runway soaked Comedy. Then a hologram of Mad Jester appeared in front of Tragedy just before the ring. Tragedy lashed out at it only to fall through the hologram and hit the deck. Theatre of Pain was furious but the Clones were nowhere to be seen. A rematch should really get booked between these two teams but Commissioner Morpheus thinks it’s a bad idea after the wackiness of their GALACTICON meeting. He said at the time “this is wrestling, not a bloody circus”. Animen Invasion weren’t laughing. They wanted to start the match. Son of Ram had mist coming out of his nostrils indicating he was angry. He shouted out to Tragedy “stop fooling around you clowns and get in the ring”. Bad idea. Tragedy stomped right over and barged him forcefully out the ring and the started on Antak. Looking set to win in just 2 moves after hitting Tragic End. Son of Ram scrambled back into the ring for the pin save. The ref intercepted him and tried to send him back to the corner. Meanwhile Defender of the Realm came out for underneath the ring where he’d been hiding. He drove the end of his spear right into the back of Tragedy’s head and put Antak on him in a pin position before vaulting the crowd barrier to get out of sight. It all happened so quickly. Comedy didn’t even see what happened. The ref looked a bit bemused at the sudden switch around but obediently slid into to make the three count in favour of Animen Invasion. Shocking outcome. Theatre of Pain will be fuming when they watch the tape back and see what really happened.
Enigma and Blade over 3rd Planet by DQ. Unusual partnership. Since being bumped out the Centra belt picture Enigma finds himself drifting aimlessly. Whilst Blade’s troubles with Archon and Lorelei are well known with all their dirty washing being aired in public. So Enigma and Blade just kind of found each other backstage at a recent dark show and agreed they should team up and forget their troubles. They actually show a little humour and even give themselves a one off nickname calling themselves ‘the Drifters’. Sadly we don’t get a chance to see if they make a good team. Ends very quickly when Krakan needlessly attacks Blade when the youngster leaves the ring to stop Tough Guy’s momentum causing a DQ. Tellingly Archon, who wasn’t keen on Blade mixing it up, has an opinion on the poor match “I’ve told Blade to stop leaving the ring, if he had followed my example and stayed we wouldn’t of had such a lousy match”. Blazing Skull annihilated Meteor. Poor Meteor is undeterred. He keeps trying to test himself against much more talented and dangerous opponents in the hope he’ll nick a big win and it may be the catalyst to his improving. They don’t come much more dangerous than Blazing Skull. Especially as Blazing has bragged that he will hold nothing back and make Meteor feel the full force of DEATH BY FIRE. Of course Lord Nexus was doing his best to protect him only he had his hands pretty full with Maleph. Fortunately he is spared a serious burning incident. Probably because Blazing surprised himself by winning it so quickly. Just 4 moves in and he goes for a cover after a Cobra Clutch Suplex which gets the pin. It was almost a move earlier as BURNING TOUCH had Meteor in some distress. Lord Nexus fears there could be afters and gets Meteor out and away as quick as possible.

CARD 1131 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Tag champs, Twin Blood, defends in a classic against Rebel Empire. Plenty of aches and pains on Twin Blood’s side after a hard fought win against their bogey team the Ninja Assassins on #1129. However as Dragonmaster explains “we didn’t show enough faith in them to beat Lethal Lottery at GALACTICON and they blew them away. There is no chance they’ll lose tonight”. Kiss of death perhaps? Win or lose though it’s very clear that Twin Blood has potential to become one of greatest tag teams in GWF/GWFC history. This is already their second run with the belts and they have now made it to 28 cards in this current reign. There has also probably never been a better synchronised team than them. They start in fine style with well coordinated double team attacks. The entire crowd is with them. Nobody wants to see the Colonizers with any belts. It begins what becomes a pulsating match. Trying to write all the different segments just too difficult. Literally every conceivable finisher was used. Often more than once and every possible interference chart was rolled on. Perhaps the most memorable was Sentry (busy night for him) using his stun gun on Dreggs which had everyone holding their breath. Luckily Dreggs came through this hairy moment by reversing an attempt to toss him into the turnbuckle. This was the winning sequence as Nefarus rebounds into a neck-breaking clothesline which provides the setup for SEEING DOUBLE. With all interferences exhausted and Nefarus up to 7 tokens by this point the chances of him surviving that were slim and so it proved. Twin Blood had come through a difficult month in fine style to continue their tag reign. However the fact Sleeze had 5 tokens himself by the end speaks volumes for how close this had been. Centra champ, Code Enforcer Manslaughter, defeated Prodigy by DQ. The title shot does eventually come Prodigy’s way. Just a month later then he hoped. Dark Justice’s miserable failure at GALACTICON probably made Commissioner Morpheus wish he’d plumped for Prodigy in the first place. Prodigy doesn’t want to blow this big chance. He burns down to the ring on a motorbike (he’s built up a new collection since being in Centra). Almost mows down Manslaughter and Commando Sam who were still walking to the ring. Sam’s dive for safety led for him pick up an injury. As Thantos ambled past a while later to take his managerial spot he laughed down at Sam. Then offered his hand “need some help old man?” Sam batted it away and forced himself to stand and take his own position. Dramatic stuff but pales in comparison to the actual match itself. It was a marathon and continually hung in the balance. At one point Thantos thought he might try to attack Manslaughter on the outside. Prodigy and Thantos ended up just getting their heads smashed together by Manslaughter which really got the crowd going. So much more was to come as they fought a titanic battle. The only criticisms were the lack of finishers. Not one got rolled. However it showed you don’t need big finishers to make a great match. It had gone on so long that I’d already started my countdown to the time limit. Setting a target of 30 more moves to get the match completed. As we got into the final 10 Thantos saw fit to interfere again and this time it was even worse. The ref called a DQ and Thantos got taken out again. This time by a clothesline. Manslaughter then took Prodigy out before reaching around under the ring. Pulled out a crowbar which was the weapon he so frequently used a couple years ago in the fed wars. Everyone expected him to beat on Prodigy with it but instead he used it to trash the motorbike. When Prodigy came round and saw all the dents and broken parts he was livid. Mandrill defeated Genocide by DQ. Despite being the best Colonizer wrestler Mandrill has never had the same success as the rest of his team against Genocide. Generally he always gets trampled over. The feeling was tonight could be different. Mandrill has already shown superiority to Corporal Aegis one-on-one and many fear he is a Heavyweight champion in waiting. Sentry would also be instructed to step in where necessary to assist Mandrill. Genocide didn’t have the same luxury. The only ringside presence the ROC occasionally has is Trisis and this was far too dangerous a match for her to be there. Corporal Aegis would never allow it. So she has to instead watch nervously alongside Dragonmaster in the commentary booth which is set well back from the ring area. Of course this meeting comes on the eve of Genocide’s title shot against Wolf. So this means this match could well be a dress rehearsal for title matches to come between them. Hopefully if that happens it will be much better than this turned out. It was mega disappointing. Genocide began with a furious anger and hinted this could be a squash. Mandrill took the first opportunity to bail out the ring which was less than a minute after opening bell. Genocide should have waited it out and let Mandrill return. However he was too hyped up. He wanted at Mandrill and tore through the ropes. Ringside furnishings were flung in all directions as he tried to get at Mandrill who was using Sentry as a shield. The ref feared for the potential devastation and called the DQ. It didn’t stop Genocide as he kept coming. Sentry was able to fire off the stun gun just before he got hold of him. Genocide is so powerful it didn’t paralyse him. Instead he dropped to a knee. It gave Sentry time to charge up and fire off another shot and the double dose had the same effect of a single shot to normal wrestlers. Mandrill lorded up the proclamation that he had won. Deep down though he wanted the pin. Hopefully there is no lasting damage for Genocide going into next week’s match with Wolf. Mayhem overcame Archon. Back to the drawing board for Mayhem after losing to Rising Sun at GALACTICON. He is in danger of not qualifying for the cage bracket at ONLY THE BEST. Archon would be a tough opponent though. Although he is at odds with Lorelei there is no disputing his form. If he could get close to Mayhem and get his submission moves going he stands a great chance of winning and boosting his own hopes of making the cut for OTB. Unfortunately he doesn’t really come close. Given Mayhem’s penchant for brawling Archon does a pretty good job of keeping it inside the ring. However he doesn’t get any rhythm going and Mayhem beats him with DANGER ZONE. One to slow him down and a little later another to finish him off. Archon might have been bladed near the end too as he is drenched in blood. Ahead of OTB Mayhem then tries to show he is the king of hardcore by smearing Archon’s blood across his chest and then licking some off his face. His final disgusting act is to make a sickening gesture.
Disorder X ends the winning run of Titan Attack. Every time Titan Attack wrestles their winning run gets mentioned but it’s such a phenomenal achievement to have ten consecutive wins. Surely Disorder X wouldn’t be the ones to end it. Thantos doesn’t always accompany Mace and Grunge as their importance to Team CPC is far less than the other guys. However he wants to see the Titan run ended as he has never had much love for the Titan team. Even when he fought on the side of the heroes. He said in the build up “we will bust this myth that Titan Attack is a great tag team, I’m sure everyone is sick and tired of hearing about their winning run”. He succeeds in masterminding it. I suppose the winning run always had to end sometime. Although didn’t expect it be in such fashion. A mere 4 moves which is a squash. Mace just laid siege to Ursa Major straight away. The poor Titan was thrown with such force into a turnbuckle it crippled his back. Next up was DECIMATION. Although a pin save failed Ursa Major somehow survived it only to then walk straight into a GUITAR SHOT by Grunge. It was scandalous that the ref let it go. Ursa Major was out like a light and pinned. Mutant shocks Rising Sun with a DQ win. One step forward and then one step back for Rising Sun. He goes from the high of beating Mayhem at GALACTICON and fending off a lottery attack to now having to face the manky Mutant. Lord Nexus insists Rising is happy to act on his advice and take on “these necessary matches”. Its importance does grow when the Terrorists come out. Usually they leave Mutant to fend for itself. Not that any of their instructing gets through to it. Mutant seems more interested in the fly that is buzzing around the ring. Chasing it around trying to eat it. It just ends up eating a fist delivered by Rising. Ran straight into it. What looks like it should be an easy win for Rising then gets a lot more complicated as he gets powder thrown in his eyes by one of the Terrorists after SUNSET SPECTACULAR. He becomes much more susceptible after that. His struggling vision ultimately cost him. Without treatment it got worse and he ended up chopping the ref in the neck after mistaking the silhouette.

CARD 1132 – SATURDAY SKIRMISH – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Genocide obliterated Wolf to become the new Heavyweight champ. It’s vitally important for the ROC that their incredible main event win at GALACTICON was not a flash in the pan and they follow it up with something big. It doesn’t come much bigger than winning the Heavyweight belt and to do it against a legend like Wolf would be incredible. Genocide is the sort of unstoppable machine that once he gets a belt it could prove very very difficult to take it off him. Big problem is when going for titles he cannot be trusted not to get disqualified. The mind of Buck Steele is having far less influence and as we have seen he spends more time in his Genocide persona. Even in everyday life. So basically any opponent, if they are smart, will try their best to direct the action out of the ring where Genocide is likely to lose control. Of course Wolf isn’t the type to play for a DQ outcome although he would certainly be up for any brawling possible. The fans were very excited as they got going. Split down the middle over who they wanted to win. Most of them just wanted to bear witness to a great battle without anyone sticking their nose in. Wolf goes for the jugular immediately only to get completely outmuscled. He finds his head planted into the turnbuckles via berserk pounding assault so many times that he is seeing stars. Then as he staggers forwards Genocide boots him right in the coccyx. So hard that Wolf might have trouble sitting down for the next few days. He then pushes Wolf over and sets himself for CORPUS GENOCIDE. Despite the tremendous impact of such a move Wolf manages to survive it. Barely reaching out with a foot to brush the nearest bottom rope. It just delays the inevitable though as Genocide scoops Wolf up. He then pings him around the ring for another minute or so before going for the big finisher again. The only hope for Wolf would be to move but he hasn’t got it in him and takes another almighty collision. It’s in the centre of the ring this time. Though even if Wolf had been near a rope he wouldn’t have got a foot up this time. The roof comes off as Genocide is handed the belt. He wildly swings it above his head and then violently shakes the ring ropes. Then it dawns on him to try and control himself and check on Wolf. However Wolf had quietly mustered enough to vacate the ring and slip away. His big mistake was trying to go toe to toe with Genocide. It won’t be lost on him but there was relief that these two seemed to get through it without a war breaking out. Hopefully their loose friendship remains intact. Although the biggest relief was that the main enemies of these 2 guys, Gladiators, Brymstonians and Colonizers had not disrupted the match given their presence at the show. Well all apart from the Brymstonians. That could have been a worst case scenario. Expectation now is Mandrill will step up to challenge Genocide. Should have confirmation of the new top contender very soon. Wolf will likely slip back into battling the Brymstonians for now. Malice and Overkill pound the Clones in a Titan Death match. With a brief history of DQ outcomes when these two teams have met it made sense to throw them together for a Titan Death match. Although most matches involving the Gladiators seem to go that way. Defender of the Realm, in particular, would need to tread carefully. Malice hasn’t forgotten getting speared by him in the backside last time they met. Plus it has to be said the Gladiators are mega p*ssed at just losing to Desolation Factor. Making them angrier than usual. For once the Clones dispense with the silliness. They were initially dancing about with their arms linked when Defender spots Overkill staring them down with a kind of “I want to kill you” look. Defender breaks away from Jester and snaps his fingers “okay serious heads on now. Mister moody over there doesn’t look too happy”. The Clones made a spritely start and Defender in particular gives Malice plenty to think about. Jester also had the audacity to fire off his Jagged Edge Standing Kick at him. It was a matter of time though before Malice managed to close one of them off. Jester was the unfortunate victim. It was a miracle that he mustered a kick out after FIELDS OF MALICE. Malice contorted his face angrily at this and decided to feed Jester to Overkill. The monstrous Gladiator briefly lost control after a calamitous move over by the turnbuckle and was almost floored via a Mad Dash Clothesline. However Jester then let himself get dragged outside and in this Titan Death environment that was suicidal against a Gladiator. He was slammed several times over tables. Defender could offer no help as Malice had gotten his precious spear and was threatening to break it in half which had him almost in tears. Meanwhile Overkill threw a barely conscious Jester back in the ring and decided to dive at him with a top rope move. To see Overkill crouched on the top turnbuckle is always a surreal sight. It was more like the sort of bomb that you’d see at a local swimming pool than any move you’d see in a wrestling text book. The impact was off the charts and the whole ring shook violently. Overkill then nonchalantly pinned Jester. The Gladiators quickly marched away satisfied these bugs have been squashed and they can get focus back on Desolation Factor. Paragon gets the better of Bloodline in a Hydra Lumberjack match. Rematch from GALACTICON. After the mess of the last one Commissioner Morpheus steps in and assigns random lumberjacks to each side. Means there are not really any safehavens for either guy. These are not well known wrestlers either. All plucked from new wrestling schools that have been setup on Centra since the formation of the GWFC. A bit of a ragtag bunch. This bothers Bloodline more than Paragon. He has already claimed corruption and that Morpheus is trying to make things more difficult for Team CPC members “he was friends with my father, it’s obvious he wants me to lose”. That landed him a small fine at the time and the threat of suspension should he make further slanderous comments. Anyway onto the match and it was a rollercoaster ride as both men had their moments. Bloodline fatally missed with BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG in one thrilling moment. Has to be said that the lumberjacks were obediently doing their jobs trying to make a name for themselves. At one point they swarmed ring after finishers. Was particularly detrimental to Bloodline as he got beaten up by virtually everyone as he was trying to apply CETUS MASTERLOCK. It made things easy for Paragon to finish him via FINAL OVERTURE. Paragon showed his usual arrogance after as he put his jacket on followed by bow tie before demeaningly kicking Bloodline out the ring and calling him a spoiled brat. He then acknowledged the work of the lumberjacks and shook their hands. Deep down he knew they’d won him this match. Wraith wins a thriller over Corporal Aegis. Painmaster is still seething in the background over being denied a chance to lock up with Aegis. Even after GALACTICON where Painmaster excelled and Wraith flopped he is down the pecking order and struggling to handle it. He doesn’t consider a match with Max Shield as happened earlier this month a top draw. Mandrill’s way of dealing with the mutiny is to force Painmaster instead of Sentry to be at ringside. Dragonmaster on commentary speculates “could this be the night Painmaster turns on the Colonizers? It’s not a question of it if but when”. Unfortunately this bold prediction doesn’t come to be as Painmaster dutifully does his job and oversees a big improvement by Wraith. It’s a thrilling match which Wraith edges after a third PHANTOM JACKHAMMER finally stopped Aegis. Painmaster then held Aegis so Wraith could continue attacking him after the bell. Aegis took several Now You See It Clotheslines before his attackers scarpered. They heard Genocide scream somewhere in the distance and didn’t want to be around when he arrived. Luckily Aegis only took a 1 card injury. Could have been worse.
Cygnus Strikeforce shocked Desolation Factor and then branded Commando Sam. Desolation Factor looking to remain hot. Just like Titan Attack they are primed to challenge for the tag belts but Commando Sam doesn’t want to rock the boat by having them take on another hero tag team. Although I suspect he won’t be as patient as Lord Nexus is being. There was a real added edge to this because it brings two enemies of the classics era into close vicinity, Mangus and Sam. Not to mention US. Traitor. Sam actually uses the match to try and make Traitor remember his true self by calling him Adam. Traitor angrily reacts “that name no longer has any meaning to me” and then proceeds with a swift movement to snatch the American flag from Sam. He rips it into two. You don’t do something like that to the fiercely patriotic Sam. He turns to Rack and Ruin “right boys, you have my permission to send him out on a stretcher, nobody does that to the flag”. It’s all getting very heated and Mangus now steps into to stoke it up even more by vowing to brand Sam at the end of match once Desolation Factor are beaten and unable to protect him. Initially it seemed the chances of that happening were one in a billion as Desolation Factor knocked both Traitor and Maelstrom from pillar to post. Although if there is a criticism of Desolation Factor is they can be very inconsistent and mistakes start creeping in. They let their opponents off the hook and Cygnus Strikeforce gets a foothold in the match. Then almost out of nowhere Maelstrom shockingly pins Ruin after ANNIHILATOR EDGE. Commando Sam stood flabbergasted and is then grabbed from behind by Traitor. Mangus laughs as Sam is branded. Desolation Factor didn’t react at all. Sam tries to cover the burning mark and runs off humiliated and shouting “don’t look at me”. Rack and Ruin gormlessy stood watching the whole facade allowing Cygnus Strikeforce to then slip away without further confrontation. Grunge beats Johnny Rocket in a predictable squash. Johnny could of put up one of his team against Grunge. However he was so incensed by Grunge’s doll humping at GALACTICON he wanted to take care of matters himself. Very chivalrous and hopefully not foolish. This match followed hot on the heels of Nora Pelf facing Anaxis where Grunge conducted more obscene behaviour. Nora actually wanted to be with her man at ringside but for her own safety Johnny wouldn’t allow it. He was hopelessly out of his depth though. First move he tried jumping on Grunge’s back and just got smashed into the turnbuckle. After that it was just a question of how long Johnny could last out. To be fair to him he did kick out of a couple of pins. Grunge ended resorting to a GUITAR SHOT to win the match. Poor Johnny was sprawled out and didn’t really know what day it was after that. Nora Pelf waited for the coast to be clear and tended to Johnny. Cradling his head gently until he seemed well enough to get up. Good job Johnny has no managing assignments later as he’s probably too beaten up to be a part of anything else tonight. Fair play to him though. He had stood up for Nora’s honour. Anaxis coasts to a win over Nora Pelf. Grunge has continued being obscene to Nora in the lead up. Posting pornographic pictures of him and Nora together. Clearly photoshopped. Johnny Rocket warns him over Centra Spacebook that he will be made to pay tonight. Grunge posted back “alright, alright. Keep your pants on”. Cue lots of laughter emojis after what has happened to Johnny in the distant past. It then gets worse here as Grunge shows up at ringside and the whole place gasps as he then removes his pants right in front of Nora and gives her a face full. Fair play to her that she tries to kick him right in the groin. Sadly it’s an air shot. Before she can try again Anaxis has leapt at her and starts slamming Nora’s head into the turnbuckle. Grunge now disappears. Happy with what he has done but it won’t be long til we see him again as he’s up next against Johnny. The admirable thing is that Johnny, despite knowing what’s coming, was still with Nora at ringside. Maybe it’s a way to take his mind off it as it’s pretty inevitable he is going to get pretty beaten up. Sadly his presence cannot lift Nora to get any great heights. She was second best to Anaxis from the moment it started. A distraction by Johnny bought her some time after CALL OF SIREN but then the move came again a little while later that was it. Johnny stopped short of physically trying to interfere against a woman. Maybe he could have helped Nora if he had. Amazonia over Sir Ender by count-out. Everyone’s been looking forwards to this. The chance to see the annoying Sir Ender get his ass kicked by a woman. However a twist. In a ridiculous scene Reynard B. Guile leads Sir Ender (on horseback) out and will advise him. Amazonia is taken aback. B. Guile makes her screen crawl and she tries to wipe him out in the runway. It spooks the horse and Sir Ender is thrown off but his fall is broken as he lands right on top of Amazonia. It hands Sir Ender an unexpected early advantage. Of course he cannot maintain and it’s not long before Amazonia is embarrassing him in the ring. Even winning a test of strength. However she grows frustrated that anytime momentum builds Sir Ender keeps leaving the ring to discuss tactics with B. Guile. Then after a few minutes Sir Ender does it again and just leaves on B. Guile’s advice. Amazonia shouts after him but has to accept a count-out win. Sir Ender is branded a coward for taking the walk. He denies this and says “I decided that Amazonia is a woman after all and I could never strike one. I hope everyone understands that besides being a great wrestler that I am also a gentleman”.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2110 CARDS 1129 - 1132)
Champions * GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Genocide (Top Contender: Mandrill) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Malice and Overkill) * GWFC Centra Champ: Code Enforcer Manslaughter (Top Contender: Wraith) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Sniper (Top Contender: Anaxis) Latest News: We have a new Heavyweight champion! Wolf was too much for Terminus amongst the Antilian ruins and blew him away. The sight of Terminus being driven into a stone wall whilst SAVAGE FACE CLAW was attached will stick long in the memory. Wolf knew Genocide was waiting in the wings to challenge Terminus at SATURDAY SKIRMISH depending on the outcome. He threw out the unwritten rule Commissioner Morpheus has supported that heroes don’t challenge heroes and demanded that he be able to defend against his old partner and friend. Morpheus relented as Wolf refused to be labelled a hero “I am my own man. I don’t identify as hero or villain. When I face Genocide in the ring he becomes my biggest enemy for as long as the match lasts!” The battle was memorable more because of how one-sided it was. Genocide just destroyed him. Wolf’s big mistake was trying to go toe to toe with Genocide. Most others look to gain advantage by nefarious means but in a straight fight Genocide has no equal as Wolf found out. By winning the belt Wolf temporarily became a 6-time holder. Actually having won it 7 times but one of those he lost the belt immediately to Thantos (wayback in the earliest days of 2087). That brought him level with Chaos and Thantos (both 6) and ahead of Star Warrior (5). However his inability to defend the belt at least once quickly pegged him back to being a 5-time holder again. So Chaos and Thantos remain top dogs. I suppose if you wanted to split hairs and find who is the most successful it is still Chaos as he held it 6 times although he won it on 8 occasions. With Wolf showing no signs of going anywhere and Chaos stuck in Dimension K and ageing it is possible Wolf could go on to surpass his achievements and become the greatest ever. Anyway for now Genocide has the title and it’s going to take someone pretty special to beat him for it. Perhaps Mandrill can do it straight away. Whatever happens it’s been a golden period for the ROC team. They could never of imagined such success and virtually the whole of Centra is behind them. Maybe the fans might prefer Corporal Aegis to be the one holding the gold but they love Genocide so aren’t too bothered.
Skinhead returns to a wrestling ring on the next show. He claims he is a new man “I’ve purged that sh*t out my system. All I want to do is go to bed early now with a good book and a glass of warm milk”.
Titan Attack’s winning run finally ended. After 10 straight victories they were beaten by Disorder X. Most thought it would take a team far more highly ranked than them to do it. It was pretty much a squash too although Lord Nexus was quick to point out that the manner of victory was achieved illegally with a GUITAR SHOT doing the damage. I didn’t know if there had been better runs than this in the past. I seemed to remember Titan Express going on a long, long winning run during the WAR GAMES period. So I looked that up and was shocked to see that Titan Attack’s winning run pales in significance to that. Titan Express managed 18 straight wins until they got beaten by Advance Guard late into 2093! I am sure nobody will be matching or surpassing this run anytime soon.
After all this time I noticed a difference between Painmaster’s COTG online card (which is what I use to run my fed) and the actual physical card from 2106 which frustrated me. I have noticed a few actually and always make a mental note. Am sure there are more. Anyway this is quite significant as his out of ring and turnbuckle should be rated as A and not B. Even with this decline he has done okay but I am going to fix this right away. To explain this and create even more tension between him and Mandrill this is because for the last few years an experiment has been occurring. Mandrill approached Doomsayer after remembering the power ups that were experimented with in the earliest days of the Galactic Rebels. Doomsayer developed a pill and Mandrill chose Painmaster as the guinea pig. To keep favour with Mandrill he has been taking them on a fortnightly basis. However it is clear they have had no effect even though the cocktail has been tinkered with many times over the years. Perhaps they have made Painmaster worse. Anyway with Wraith now favoured in the Colonizer team Painmaster is refusing to take them any longer. Within just a couple of weeks he starts to feel better for it. So there you have it. We’ll let that simmer in the background.
Commando Sam is spitting mad after Mangus branded him after Cygnus Strikeforce beat Desolation Factor. It will take weeks for the mark to fade. Sam was initially humiliated and wanted to go to ground. However anger has taken over. He doesn’t want to take his eye off the ball with his main feud against the Gladiators but Cygnus Strikeforce are now very much on the radar of the FDF. ONLY THE BEST is next! My favourite event. Naturally the fans of Centra cannot wait having seen videos of previous tournaments from Dimension K. All the wrestlers are literally falling over themselves to make the cut. Commissioner Morpheus says that all the old rules still apply. So it’s still the top 8 as well as only 1 per team per bracket for singles and tag. The cage tournament has similar stipulation except there is more leeway for lower ranked wrestlers to come in so we might see someone like Grovel included. Also it’s not uncommon for certain guys to prefer the cage tournament and defer their spot in the main tournaments. That’s certainly Wolf’s preference. He is desperate to win this bracket again having won 3 out of the first 4 cage tournaments but nothing since wayback in 2099. He is still the most successful in this category with 3 wins although Mad Jester, Buck Steele/Genocide and Code Enforcer Manslaughter are all hot on his heels with 2 wins each. In singles Paragon was the winner last year. It will take many years though for anyone to match the two most successful in its history who are the legendary Chaos (5) and Raven (4). Technically one of Chaos wins was when it was rebadged into something a bit different but for the purposes of the record books it is counted as an OTB win. For the tag bracket nobody has dominated. It took years for a team to actually win more than the one. Superiority Complex eventually did it and added a third trophy in 2103. They remain the only team to win it more than the once. The only teams on the current roster who could win a second one are Twin Blood and Rebel Empire. They will both start among the favourites to prevail. Notably this is a category where the Gladiators have not had great success despite their legendary tag teams. Brute and Massacre never won it and the arguably even better Thunder and Overkill only succeeded the once despite spending almost a decade together as a team. Anyway just as everyone is looking forwards to this great event there is a shock. Read below!!! Detective Quidun’s latest whack-a-mole style of investigation is to start preventing suspects from competing at significant shows to see if they crack under pressure. A number of wrestlers were all part of the crowd during the poisoning of Massacre and have been targeted. Then there are other wrestlers who could have motives. So with all that in mind Vengeance, Code Enforcer Manslaughter, Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Vyper and Wraith are all prevented from being part of OTB as they have been booked to be brought in for questioning on the exact days this prestigious tournament is being staged. It’s a stroke of luck for certain guys like Thunder, as Vengeance is removed from the equation. He actually maintains a reasonably high ranking largely off the back of his good run in the Centra belt tournament but surely Vengeance would of been in the singles bracket ahead of him. Potentially Quidun could cripple the tournaments if even more guys get picked on. He’s toying with preventing the entire Gladiator and Rocket Men teams from entering. Also, not that they’d of qualified, Animen Invasion because the poison (according to Doomsayer) originates from Andromeda. There’s nothing that can be done to stop him as he has the power to do it. Plus he has the support of Corporal Aegis. INJURED – Corporal Aegis (1), Splatter (2), Vyper (2); SUSPENDED – WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: GENOCIDE - The fans went wild as the ROC team took possession of the Heavyweight belt. Genocide kept self control long enough to do it. Wolf was his plaything in that ring. It’s going to take one hell of a performance to beat him for the belt now he’s got it. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: TWIN BLOOD - Tested to the max this month but still on top. Both their wins over the Ninja Assassins and Rebel Empire were epics. Honourable mention to the SWAT Team who showed they are getting the hang of things with an impressive win over Transformer.
