Latest News:
Mace gets both barrels from Destructon 3000 over getting suspended and costing New Order their spot on GALACTICON. Even Dreggs cannot understand why he is acting so strange. If anyone was going to lose it against Metalhead it should of been him given the blood links. The result is that Mace has said he will try and keep his temper under control for the good of the team but warns Destructon 3000 he doesn’t want to be micro managed. If a situation occurs again that needs to be dealt with he won’t hesitate to do it again. Obviously Destructon 3000 doesn’t want to lose Mace, he knows he is a great wrestler but if things spiral too out of control then he may be asked to leave the team as he is unprepared to take any more crap. Mindless violence goes against the ethos of WAR.
Star Warrior and Pulsar suffered a damaging loss on Brymstone. Omega wants his guys to immediately stop signing matches against Blazing Skull before someone gets seriously hurt. There are rumours that behind the scenes things are happening relating to Blazing Skull. Will his guys listen to him? Star Warrior can be a bit head strong at times and of course Pulsar won’t want to leave it like this. He wants a chance to redress the balance. With another dark show on Brymstone coming up soon it will be interesting to see if any the Champions team are on the bill. If they are, it won’t be with Omega’s blessing.
The lottery inspired feud between the Hitmen and the Citadel goes the way of Morpheus’s team. The Citadel has won virtually all the matches between the two teams. It seems Krakan has quietly drawn a line under all of this without actually admitting Morpheus got the better of him. Plans are already being drawn up to prepare the Hitmen for a feud with the Gladiators. This looks likely to happen in 2103. Krakan also wants to ensure that the Mercenaries don’t come unstuck during this difficult time and end up losing the tag belts they have had a vice like grip on.
Even without the added muscle that Genocide brings it appears Buck Steele is one tough cookie. He took a pounding from the Colonizers after his GALACTICON glory as they jumped him (again) in a revenge attack. Despite being left bleeding and requiring hospital treatment (at the insistence of Vertigo) Buck makes light of his injuries. Just brushing them off as superficial. He says of the incident “I just took myself off to the medics, lifted the bandages and said ‘what do you think of that Doc?’ I only needed a lie down before I got back to the party”. REACTING TO GALACTICON … The event spawned an unlikely hero in Alpha Force. He has gone largely under the radar last couple years. Overshadowed by the likes of Pegasus and Raven on the hero team but he produced an incredible effort to win the main event Battle Royal. It’s made a big impact on his personal points tally but he is still a long way back from the front runners. His amazing victory went some way to appeasing a frustrated crowd who had been in uproar shortly beforehand when the Mercenaries blatantly cheated against Titan Fury to retain their tag belts. A failure to check for weapons led to Rising Sun being assaulted with brass knuckles and unable to assist his partner. It had looked like this was the night the Titan team would finally come of age. Lord Nexus reveals Commissioner Grogan has apologised for the oversight but cannot reverse the outcome. His only hope is that the GWF championship committee gives Titan Fury another shot at the belts. Unfortunately there was more heartbreak for the hero team even before that. For all their success in the main event it wasn’t a good night relating to the gold. The Titan disappointment was matched by Amazonia losing the Ladies belt to Anaxis. It had been on the cards if truth be told. Ever since she captured the belt in the tournament climax Amazonia has been on the slide. Amazonia vows to win it back as soon as possible. Pegasus also blew a big opportunity to get daylight between himself and the Matador in the MEGATOURNAMENT MVP race and Colussus spectacularly lost to Heracles in the Stun Rod contest (luckily without any lingering effects despite how bad it looked). So if it wasn’t for Alpha Force in the main event it could of been a very bad night for Omega and the Hero team. Probably the loudest cheer of all happened in the middle of the card as Genocide showed up and destroyed Mandrill. It was an incredible atmosphere but unfortunately the Colonizers got back at Buck later (read above). Other smaller talking points were Theatre of Pain upsetting Generation X to remain unbeaten by pin fall in the GWF (their only blot a DQ loss to Sam’s Squadron). They look a solid team which could go far. With Centaurus Cluster beating Superiorty Complex the newcomers move into the #1 contender spot. Colby and Pelf want to push their new team so will place no restrictions on them challenging the Mercenaries for the belts even though both teams are on the their independent roster. Of course the strained relationship with Krakan played a factor in their decision too. Also Mesmer caused a stir. Not for his match but what he said afterwards. Makes the future of the Brotherhood look very bleak. INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – Mace (6) WHOSE HOT ... Mayhem, Max Shield, Thantos, Chaos, Alpha Force, Matador, Heracles, Buck Steele, Vyper, Anaxis, Titan Wrestling, Centaurus Cluster, the Zodiac, Sam’s Squadron, Demons of Hydra WHOSE NOT ... Pegasus, Colussus, Mandrill, Janus, Pulsar, Star Warrior, Splatter, Ram, Killer Queen, Mutant, Amazonia, Titan Fury, Generation X, Thunder and Overkill, Henchmen
MEGATOURNAMENT STANDINGS: Omega’s Heroes 414, CPC 406, Morpheus’s Villains 318) (Colby and Pelf never content. Despite getting possession of the Heavyweight belt again to go with the tag belts they show their frustration. They call their team to a special dinner after GALACTICON and then feed them scraps. The purpose is to punish them and lay into them all for losing so much ground to Omega’s team. With survival all but assured the eyes are on the big prize of finishing first. They saw the efforts of Splatter, Vengeance, Mayhem and Pulsar in the main event as a GALACTICON failure. The only ones that came out with any credit from the event were the Matador and the Mercenaries but Colby and Krakan are not exactly seeing eye to eye at the moment. Morpheus is so far back it looks almost impossible. The event, given the amount of points on line, probably represented the last chance of making up some ground. He can’t fathom some of his guys. They can go from brilliant to awful in the space of a card and it’s that inconsistency that has let him down. Superiority Complex and Enigma fit that category for sure. Janus also guilty of that after failing to hold onto the Heavyweight belt and playing into Mayhem’s hands. Omega’s team still leads the way. He has Alpha Force to largely thank for that. In the respective MVP races things are getting real interesting. The Matador and Pegasus are neck and neck in the singles section. Whilst the Mercenaries are coming up fast on the Gladiators. Just 7 pts adrift now. Thunder and Overkill need to get their minds back on it if they want to triumph. But do they even care?)
MVP STANDINGS: SINGLES: Pegasus 80, Matador 80, Janus 68, Raven 55, Alpha Force 50, Chaos 48, Mandrill 47, Wolf 42, Mayhem 40, Bishop Hell 34, Vengeance 33, Colussus 32, Pulsar 23, Monad 22, Holocaust 21, Heracles 21, Max Shield 19, Splatter 10, Enigma 6, Johnny Rocket 1 TAG TEAM: Thunder and Overkill 78, Mercenaries 71, New Order 35, Gamemasters 35, Superiority Complex 27, Generation X 21, Sam’s Squadron 19, Centaurus Cluster 16, Henchmen 10, Titan Fury 10, Flamboyance 4, Pillars of Power 2, Watchmen 2 WOMEN: Amazonia 38, Anaxis 20, Thrash 16, Cassandra 4
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: Max Shield – There were others that achieved great things including his mate Buck Steele. However this is the month Max finally came of age. Captures the IP belt and realises the potential that’s always been there. Feeling is this could be month that everything Max does in the future will be traced back to. His team also convincingly beating the Colonizers too. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: Titan Wrestling – Much loved team that can still mix it at the top level. They actually lost two out of three but when footage from their dark show win over Janus and Heracles made it onto one of the GWF subscription channels reaction was through the roof. It was most watched bout on the channel to date and showed the Titans doing what they do best.

Card 745 – Mimas Spectrum:
Nefarus overcomes Max Shield in non-title action. The first of two consecutive match ups between them. This ones for pride, the second one will be for the IP belt. Despite an unimpressive win/loss record since entering the GWF Nefarus raises his game in this title match dress rehearsal. It’s a pulsating encounter in which Nefarus hits Max with everything he’s got. Gets the better of it with SCISSORDRIVER but it did take three of them to eventually end it. Poor Max looks shocked at the loss but gets out of the ring as soon as he can making sure to get hold of his prized belt. No telling what the Colonizers might do given their track record if he hangs around too long. Big bragging from Nefarus on Spacebook late into the night. Max, against his better judgement, bites back and they engage in an online war of words that gets so heated that both their accounts are temporarily suspended. Things are white hot for the next encounter.
Monad uses its many arms to manhandle Pulsar. Once again getting a running commentary from Johnny Rocket. Pulsar, in keeping with his aggressive mannerisms, tells him to shut up or that mic will be shoved so far down his throat they won’t know from which end is best to extract it. Certainly not Titan talk and shows his attitude is still a long way from becoming one again. The outburst comes back to haunt him. Having hit WHIRLWIND is just about to pin Monad when Johnny creates a distraction. Allows Monad to nail Pulsar from behind with its four arms. Shortly after QUADRUPLE CLAMP severely weakens Pulsar. The Collector for once is looking out for Pulsar and manages to get Monad to break the move. Monad tries to go after the Collector but the old boy is surprisingly spritely and evades capture. Monad tires of going after him and goes back to Pulsar who hasn’t sufficiently recovered. Unloads DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE and it’s the final nail in the coffin for Pulsar. Holocaust turns the tables to stun Pegasus. So this is the latest CPC plan to try and slow Pegasus. Send the remaining members of Reynard B. Guile’s team after him. Reynard hopes they can complete a clean sweep of victories to impress his employers (although he predicts Ram might be the most likely to let him down which is another confidence knock for the ex-Animan). Pegasus is willing to meet the challenge head on. He certainly needs a pick up after suffering a bad GALACTICON month. Unfortunately his struggles continue with another devastating loss. Missed a death jump and gets pinned after a snake eyes roll. Much of the wrestling media reports this an upset which is a bit unfair on Holocaust. He boasts a solid career and can count beating Chaos as one of his many past triumphs.
The Zodiac surprised Thunder and Overkill with a DQ win. The Brotherhood maybe headed towards possible disarray but the Zodiac did experience a good GALACTICON. Plus the form of Mesmer has been excellent in recent months. A win against the Gladiators could thrust them towards a shot at the titles. However is facing the Gladiators biting off too much? Thunder already made it clear that if the Overlord comes near him with one of those wacky chants then he’ll rip his head off. Faced with that threat the Overlord simply doesn’t show up. The Gladiators certainly deliver on their aggressive reputations. However they slump to yet another disqualification. Overkill caught in the moment whilst punishing Mesmer for daring to kick out after his TURNBUCKLE TRAP. Pressing anyone into the crowd, even someone as evil as Mesmer, is just not part of the GWF fair play rules.
Titan Fury far too good for the Demons of Hydra. The Titans dust themselves down after their controversial cage loss to the Mercenaries. They aim to get themselves back into the #1 contender spot as soon as possible. Already take a big step towards that with a dominating display here. Would of beaten Hydra with DAY OF THE DRAGON if not for Darkos saving him. Hydra was so messed up by the move that when Dragonmaster deals DRAGON DROP shortly after this there was no coming back. Lord Nexus is happy and keeps beating the drum that Titan Fury will become the tag champions very soon. Just a matter of time.
Enigma defeated Alpha Force by DQ. The promoter wanted at least one match on the show to be for MEGATOURNAMENT points. Alpha Force couldn’t make himself available quick enough as he wanted to follow up his GALACTICON glory asap. The GWF paired him up with Enigma. His confidence is still high and he dominates Enigma but gets lured into a brawl and then all the blame for starting it pinned on him. It’s a bit of a smash and grab from Enigma to come out with this win. Darkos celebrates but it’s not as if a single solitary point is going move Enigma up very far. He is still the lowest scoring wrestler.

Card 746 – Mimas Spectrum: Nefarus delivers a crushing blow by beating Max Shield to grab the IP belt. Although Genesis do not have a manager to look after their affairs Max makes an approach to Omega to join him at ringside. Just as a one off for his first ever match as a champion. In a taped segment he speaks to Omega “I know you have already helped me so much but I just wondered if you could do me this favour?” Omega, who was very instrumental in assisting in Max getting signed to the GWF, says he will be honoured to stand in his corner for the bout. When the match commenced it follows a very similar pattern to their previous meeting. Nefarus really punishing Max and hitting SCISSORDRIVER twice. But this time Max can draw on the inspiration of Omega and uses that to battle back. Takes it all and starts to trouble Nefarus and having has his own near miss with MAXIMUM IMPACT. With over 15 minutes elapsed it’s really anybody’s match for the taking. Max has a remarkable 6 tokens at this point whilst Nefarus hasn’t got away token free and carries 3. Next pin attempt will surely do it. Unfortunately it goes the way of Nefarus. Max tried and fails to get his shield up against a spinning back kick. The impact leaves Max in cloud cuckoo land and a sitting duck for a third and final SCISSORDRIVER. Nefarus steals the belt from under Max’s nose. Rather than flaunt the win Nefarus signals to the back and out come the Watchmen. The Colonizers just don’t tire of trying to strike on the Genesis members. With Max barely conscious they see it as a perfect time to try and put him on the sidelines for an extended period. Omega bravely tries to thwart their path but the Watchmen call him a pathetic old man and shove him aside. Despite taking a hit Omega is able to get up and raise the alarm. He gets Buck Steele and Wraith to come in to even things up in the brawl. Eventually security are able to intervene to keep the two sides apart. They look relieved that during all this carnage Buck remained his normal state and Genocide didn’t appear. Mandrill is reported to be very happy by tonight’s events. Whilst not being able to injure Max Shield will frustrate the capture of the IP belt represents a big moment for the Colonizers. The first small step towards his domination of the GWF.
Thunder and Overkill win a classic over Titan Fury. Big match as far as rankings go. The Gladiators have been told by Colby and Pelf there will be no roadblocks as far as challenging for the titles is concerned. Not sure they would of listened to them anyway. So whoever holds the belts whether it be the Mercenaries or Centaurus Cluster will not receive any protection from the advances of the Gladiators. However simply winning here may not be enough. They will need to obliterate the Titans for they need to repair the damage from a run of DQ losses. Fantastic match takes place. Titan teamwork working perfectly to cope with the rage and power of the Gladiators. They rattle Overkill and the giant Gladiator almost falls to Rising Sun’s SUNSET SPECTACULAR. Trying to keep the pressure on Overkill, who looked to be wilting, Rising Sun tags in his fresher partner. Dragonmaster keeps moving fast and peppering Overkill with top rope moves and martial arts tricks to continue sapping his energy. Then it all goes wrong. Dragonmaster goes to the top rope but feels Thrash tug at his ankle. He turns to admonish her which gives Overkill the opportunity to get over to him. Dragonmaster is in distress as Overkill throws him off and straight to the outside. It’s a painful fall and things look desperate. Tossed back in the ring the Gladiators now have their way with him. Several brutal Aethran Power Bombs from Thunder leave Dragonmaster barely able to crawl much less get up. He’s going to have a bad headache tomorrow after taking all those. Rising Sun cuts a frustrated figure on the apron. He knows what is coming. Lord Nexus thinks about throwing the towel in but holds back in the feint hope Dragonmaster can turn it around. Sadly there is more chance of winning the Galactic Lotto than that happening. The Gladiators both nod to each other and DECAPITATOR is executed. Dragonmaster is done for. The Titans ranking takes a big hit on the back of this. Will the dream of capturing the tag belts ever happen for them?
Buck Steele is never in it against Vengeance but still wins by DQ. Rep of Buck Steele keeps growing with big matches coming thick and fast. The latest one to try and stop him (or Genocide) is the cunning and sadistic Vengeance. Unfortunately Buck in his everyday form is a long way behind someone like Vengeance. He can’t lay a finger on a Vengeance even when he is trying to tap into his boxing repertoire. Vengeance thinks, because he is so dominant, that he can take on Genocide. Seeks to force the transformation by dragging Buck outside and then blading him. The ref spots what he is doing and calls the bell. Not only does the plan backfire but the drawing of blood causes Buck to hulk up into Genocide. Suddenly Vengeance is frozen with fear. It is not a characteristic any Gladiator wants to be associated but this is the effect Genocide has. Luckily his position near the runway allows Vengeance to snap out of his mental state and get away unharmed. The enraged Genocide has to settle for destroying the ring. The poor ref almost wanders into his path but manages to slip under the ropes just in time. By the time Genocide has calmed down again all the turnbuckle pads have been ripped off. Also a hole has been punched through the mat such was the force of Genocide’s pounding fists on it. Big delays after this as the ring has to be patched up but another demonstration of how awesome Genocide is. The first guy to actually pin him will get a lot of respect. It surely cannot be long until Chaos wants to test his power against Genocide and of course Mandrill will be back for more. Pegasus outclassed Ram. It’s a no win situation for Pegasus. He’ll be expected to triumph and convincingly so. If he doesn’t then he will be 0-3 against Reynard’s guys. This conflict is all well and good but these are not points scoring matches. Omega needs to get Pegasus back on track and not mired in these petty squabbles. He’s a main event guy but is currently toiling in the mid-card and also losing. For Ram, on the other hand, this means everything. Destined to end up in the ‘not wanted pile’ at the end of 2102 every match he now wrestles is a shop window advertisement. He is doing it on his own again as Reynard spurns his ringside managerial spot. To be fair to Ram he gives it a good go but there is a huge gulf in class. Pegasus is back to something approaching his best and needs less then five minutes to be finishing him off with PROJECT PEGASUS. Less than an hour after the match has ended Pegasus is on Spacebook looking to get his MEGATOURNAMENT MVP pursuit back on track. Makes public challenges to both Janus and Chaos to face him on the next show. Both accept immediately and it is up to Morpheus to decide who will get the chance to face Pegasus. It’s another head ache for him as whoever doesn’t get picked will resent Morpheus for it. Holocaust gets the better of Wraith. Lingering heat here. Wraith shows there is life outside of the Colonizer feud by going after Holocaust. Of course Holocaust is fresh off a brilliant win over Pegasus. To follow up with another victory here will do nicely for his singles ranking and push him into the top 5. Wraith is on the offensive straight away but then seems to let Holocaust off the hook by letting Reynard B. Guile at ringside get to him. Reynard is a master at breaking momentum and getting under people’s skin. Wraith missed a turnbuckle charge because of it and falls hard to the outside of the ring. Lands right before a laughing Reynard B. Guile’s feet. Wraith pathetically grabs at his ankles whereupon Reynard calls to Holocaust “now finish him off!” Holocaust obediently pitches Wraith back inside and gives him the jolt of his life with SHOCKWAVE (+6).
The Henchmen upset Superiority Complex by DQ. Looks like it would be a walkover for Superiority Complex when Skinhead hits Marcel de Sade with BAD ATTITUDE within the first minute. Dreadnaught manages to reverse this by coming down on Skinhead’s cover and putting his partner on top. Morpheus protests this vehemently but the ref ignores him. Maybe because it happened so early and wanted to give the match a chance. It’s as if the incident unsettles the Citadel duo for they struggle to get into their rhythm after this. Dreadnaught gets in the ring and despite getting a bit of a pasting digs in and leads his team to an unlikely DQ victory after Skinhead clocks him with a foreign object.

Card 747 – Fire Island:
(Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … Centaurus Cluster - In an embarrassing moment Johnny calls out both Archon and Crossfire but they no show. A red faced Johnny has to work on the fly. Ends up by bragging that the reason Centaurus Cluster no showed is because Johnny cancelled them. Claims nobody is lucrative enough to secure a slot on his show in a bid to save face. It does get a little bit interesting as Dreggs takes the opportunity to come into the empty set. His intention is to make a public plea to his twin brother, Metalhead, to end his wild ways and leave the scummy Rocket Men. Johnny won’t have any of it. The very moment he sees Dreggs approaching he presses a button under his desk and about a dozen hired goons masquerading as his security team intercept Dreggs. As they take hold of Dreggs he fights back and manages to take a couple of them out but there are just too many of them. He is picked up and although he struggles is powerless to stop them throwing him out the back door of the set. He is left bloodied as his head was used to open it. Later on it emerges that Archon had vetoed the appearance of Centaurus Cluster as rumours emerged that Johnny was working with Bishop Hell to setup a possible attack on them. With a tag team title challenge coming there was no way Archon was going to risk this. Archon is sorry that Dreggs got hurt instead but said he shouldn’t of gone out there and needs to more careful)
Heavyweight champ, Mayhem, beat Heracles by DQ. Morpheus may well be on death row as far as the MEGATOURNAMENT is concerned but he has got the Citadel lining up for title shots. Apparently three of the four possible challengers the GWF championship committee were considering came from his team. It was between Janus, Chaos and Heracles (Alpha Force was the other guy). Wins last month against Colussus and Splatter just about gave the nod to Heracles. He hopes if he wins the title it will be a better reign than he managed last time. That lasted an embarrassingly short 3 cards. Certainly takes things real serious. No grand entrance, walks all the way to the ring with a fixed stare. Anaxis obediently trotting behind proudly wearing her own Ladies belt. Mayhem is chomping at the bit. Flings his title belt somewhere in the direction of the officials and steams right into Heracles just as he steps through the ropes. Heracles struggles to stem the initial tide with Mayhem acting like a thing possessed. After several minutes of this Heracles decides he better try and do something or he’s not going to last too long. Bails out for a chance to catch his breath and his thoughts. However, Mayhem isn’t going to relent on the pace. Runs across the ring and flies through the middle of the ropes with a kamikaze dive and floors Heracles. Anaxis looks on in horror and jumps on Mayhem’s back. She is quickly flung off but it’s enough to make the referee call the disqualification. At first Mayhem keeps pounding Heracles but then seems to get bored and leaves. Heracles later blames Anaxis for his failure suggesting perhaps she was jealous that he was about to win a bigger title than hers. Harsh as she seemed to be just trying to protect him but of course we all know what Heracles is like. Has little or no respect for anyone least of all females. Of course Anaxis should stand up for herself but does no favours by agreeing she was in the wrong. She views Heracles as some kind of god that can do no wrong.
Chaos goes over Pegasus by DQ. A points scoring battle is just what Pegasus needs but it won’t be easy against Chaos. Needs to secure some kind of win to lay a marker down to the Matador. This will force pressure onto the Matador to try and match this against Colussus on the next card. Whilst Chaos doesn’t want to be doing any favours for the Matador there is no way he is going to roll over here. Makes a big point of showing Pegasus how much stronger he is by offering a test of strength to start. Remembering his old villain days Pegasus reaches for the hold and then suddenly kicks Chaos in the stomach to get a cheap advantage. Morpheus goes mad at the ref for such a move and then starts bad mouthing Pegasus. Calling him a corrupt hero that will never fit in with Omega’s team. Reminding that he will never get a fair shake because Omega will always favour his own sons. Pegasus reacts to this and jumps out of the ring to confront Morpheus. Defends Omega by calling him a great man and tells Morpheus to shut his mouth. Of course Morpheus now knows he’s got a reaction and predicts Pegasus will soon go down the same path as Thantos did all those years ago. With that Pegasus grabs Morpheus in a choke. Chaos comes up behind as this is going on and picks Pegasus up in BOW OF DEFEAT. Amid all this the bell goes to indicate someone has been disqualified. The match had been barely a minute old. Pegasus manages to power his way out and comes back at Chaos. Both of them brawl to the back and it takes a fleet of security guys to get them apart. A disappointed crowd gets even more disappointed when they then hear the announcement that Chaos has won the match.
Justice beat Vigilante by DQ. Had a battle that only former partners could. Clear that the priorities of their managers lay elsewhere as neither Sam and Krakan are present. Suggested that Krakan has been called to an urgent meeting with Colby and Pelf to try and sort out their differences. The low pin rating of both guys and Vigilante’s lack of a potent singles finisher makes it a long match but it’s passionate from start to finish. About 15 minutes in and Justice looks like he’s building something after striking with Canon Law. Not clear if Vigilante fell out or bailed out but the worst thing Justice could of done was to follow him. He meets the thick end of Vigilante’s rifle and gets a bloody nose in the process. At least he got the win but would of much preferred to be pinning Vigilante. There is some background noise which goes back to when Sam’s Squadron faced the Gladiators at COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON and had Hitmen rifles as weapons. Justice clears that up in a post match interview “we would never form an alliance with those scumbags. The truth is we bought those replica rifles and put ‘Hitman Property’ on ourselves. Was Sam’s great idea. We welcome a feud between the Gladiators and the Hitmen and want to encourage it. Let those two violent groups destroy each other”.
Titan Fury and the Zodiac draw when time is up. The conclusion to a three way battle between the Titans, Gladiators and Zodiac to determine the next tag team challengers to the Mercenaries or Centaurus Cluster. Lord Nexus has been meticulously preparing his guys for this. He gave them a huge dossier on all the tricks to watch for. Hopefully he hasn’t over complicated things. Sometimes too much info is a bad thing. Wrestlers need to trust their instincts and react to the moment (something Trainer Jim told him when the managerial torch was passed). Anyway the main aim is for Titan Fury to succeed where Titan Wrestling failed and blow the Zodiac away. For about ten minutes it is total Titan domination. Nothing Mesmer and Gemini try can buy them any offence. Mesmer is so lucky to survive DAY OF THE DRAGON as the Overlord gets to the ring apron. It delays the ref making the count and gives Mesmer just enough time to recover. As the match moves into its final minutes the Zodiac start to look more threatening but they are still generally second best. Trouble is Titan Fury cannot quite put it together and get it finished off and the bell soon sounds to signal 15 minutes are up. Nothing set it in stone but the Zodiac is now favoured to progress to a title match next month.
Cassandra sends Ms. Liberty tumbling to a count-out loss. Dreadful display from Ms. Liberty. A long way from her brilliance of last year when she won the pilot ladies OTB and upset Thrash a couple of times. Gets battered and bruised then dumped outside. Cassandra follows her and jabs a lipstick right in the eye. Ms. Liberty then staggers about before falling over the crowd barrier in her temporary blindness and shows no effort to get up and beat the count back. May of been a cheap shot but Cassandra was allowed to dictate and deserved to win. With Anaxis looking for challengers to her Ladies belt (after she arrogantly dismisses Supernova and looks beyond that match) it’s a bad time to lose for Ms. Liberty as she might of had a strong case to step forward.
Genesis Prime easily beat a handicapped Pillars of Power. Farcical as Dynamo has to use the restroom seconds before the bell. In his quest to build muscles upon muscles he has been taking untested black market supplements. One of which has wreaked havoc with his body. The ref won’t hold the match up so whilst Dynamo makes a dash the bout commences. Genesis Prime have got a chance to make the extra man count (I planned to give them 20 moves before I brought Dynamo back in). Dynamo would of barely closed the door by the time this was over. Genesis Prime needed about a minute to take Powerhouse down. Vertigo got the jump on him and then quickly tagged his partner in. Wraith wasting no time putting his invisibility to good effect by hitting SUDDEN DEATH (+3). Dynamo will have a tough time getting over this humiliation.

Card 748 – NETWORK DEIMOS WRESTLING – Deimos Intergalactic Arena: Centaurus Cluster beats the Mercenaries to take the tag titles. Colby and Pelf make it clear where their loyalties are. They are accompanying Centaurus Cluster. Colby suggests in the interests of their ‘partnership’ that Krakan leaves ringside but he stands his ground. Krakan has a look that longs to get a hold of Colby and pummel him but knows the ramifications could be huge and resists any physical assault. Archon looks totally fed up with all this jockeying. He just wants to wrestle and to do it with honour. Reckoning that he and Crossfire could pull off an upset. Tall order as the Mercenaries are machines at the moment, churning out win after win but Centaurus Cluster have plenty of high profile casualties under their belts. They are well capable of one more and by the way it starts they look well up for it. Crossfire comes off better against Vigilante after a double clothesline takes them both down. As Vigilante gets to his feet Crossfire shoots him back down with BOW AND ARROW. Then he links up with Archon for CROSSFIRE. Krakan is alert to the danger and right in the referee’s face preventing a quick count. Soldier of Fortune tries to muscle the Mercenaries back into the match but Archon handles it and counters virtually everything tried. Crossfire soon wants to get back in and Archon wanting to take advantage of his young partner’s energy and confidence complies. Crossfire instantly hits a moonsault and to the shock of everybody at ringside (including Colby and Pelf) gets the pin. It’s another one of those snakes eyes rolls. Centaurus Cluster are the new champions. Not sure if it can classed as a big upset given their record but it leaves Krakan standing open mouthed. The Mercenaries 31 card reign is over.
Supernova pins Anaxis to capture the Ladies belt. Every time Anaxis wrestles she looks liberated. As if she is relieved to be out of the shadow of Heracles. Even in her short time in the GWF has already cemented herself as a ladies legend. She’s already surpassed Thrash in MEGATOURNAMENT. Her arrogance and total devotion to Heracles are clearly her weak points. She looks weak and fragile around him but inside the wrestling ring is a completely different animal. Fortunately Heracles is not with her here as he sulks over his failure to capture the Heavyweight belt. Supernova is overcome with excitement ahead of the meeting. Calling it the biggest moment in her life and will not let the opportunity slip from her grasp. Admits she has been getting tips from Amazonia on how to defeat Anaxis. When Anaxis hears this she laughs “getting tips from Amazonia. She couldn’t beat me so why would anyone seek advice from that barbaric woman”. Supernova is so hyped up she can barely wait for the bell. Anaxis is only half way down the runway when Supernova jumps out the ring and does a majestic array of cartwheels towards her. It ends with a spectacular kick to the chest of Anaxis. And so the match begins in the runway almost like a Falls County Anywhere. Something the ladies have been wrestling plenty of lately. This time though it’s a good old regular match and the strict ref quickly orders them into ring. Supernova keeps up the intensity and has Anaxis rocking. An attempt with SPEED OF LIGHT nearly brings a pin. Looks like Anaxis might get away with it as despite clocking up tokens keeps evading being pinned. Even manages to build a serious assault on Supernova herself with CALL OF THE SIREN. The crowd is loving the fact it’s really in the balance and their excitement grows even more as Supernova gets a second wave going. This time Anaxis cannot stave it off and drops the title to a tilt-a-whirl slam. Supernova is overcome with the moment. Bursts into tears as she is handed the belt. Her proud father, Omega, comes out from the back to hug her. Wonderful images.
Matador wins a tough test against Colussus. A big match for both of them for different reasons. Of course for Matador his relentless pursuit to become MEGATOURNAMENT MVP is well documented. To him it is more important than capturing the Heavyweight belt. On the other side Colussus needs a lift. Every time he takes on his ex partner seems to get consumed by a form of depression that only gets worse when he loses. Some think it’s the internal circuitry inside his body causing his mental twitches. Others think he is just a very sensitive guy that misses his friend. Either way he badly craves something positive to build on. It does take Colussus quite a while to get going but he gives the Matador a run for his money. CYBORG DEATHBLOW making Reynard B. Guile worried enough to try a distraction which is successful. Ultimately the Matador is too good for Colussus. Brushes off the brief threat and gets into a rhythm. Once he gets into the groove the Matador takes no prisoners. Waits for the opportune moment and nails BULLWHIP. Even the robotic side of Colussus’s head cannot absorb the blow and the match is lost. Although the Matador wins, on closer inspection, it looked as if Colussus might actually of got the shoulder up in the nick of time. Replays confirm this was the case but it’s too late now. Colussus complains he was victim of a crooked referee but his appeal is thrown out and the final decision stands. It’s always a thought in the back of the mind with any CPC wrestler due to vast resources at their disposal. The Matador marches on and moves back into the lead of the MVP race.
Mad Jester beats a traumatised Vyper. GALACTICON rematch. Vyper vows not to fall for any juvenile pranks although what Jester threatened to pull last time still haunts him. Vyper obviously carries a secret phobia but nobody seems to know what it is apart from Jester who endlessly torments him about it. Again there is very little actual wrestling. Lots of taunting from both guys and it spends more time outside than in. Colby and Pelf are loving the insane psychology of Mad Jester and watch with great interest. Jester suddenly ramps it up out of nowhere and Vyper doesn’t offer much in resistance. As if Jester’s threats are in the back of his mind and are now affecting him. He gets set up for A DEAD MAN’S VERSE and easily pinned. Jester isn’t finished as Vyper is tied in the ropes again. Jester laughs and proclaims this time there is no joking around. Produces a container which will make Vyper wet his pants. Terak frantically tries to free Vyper but cannot do it fast enough. How he regrets not bringing Mollock along now. Jester opens the lid of the container and throws several spiders onto Vyper. They crawl all over him and Vyper suffers a panic attack which results in him passing out.
Thantos wins the dream match against Wolf via DQ. Incredible booking. Despite both being heroes now the lure to lock horns again is too much. They had some phenomenal past contests before the dramatic hero turn of Thantos. They were probably about 50-50 when they met one-on-one and the Heavyweight belt traded between them many times. Since 2096 Wolf, despite having respect for Thantos, has still never really fully trusted him. Of course he will always hold Thantos responsible for breaking up his relationship with the Gladiators. The feeling from Thantos has been mutual. Always wary of Wolf’s wild and unpredictable side and has never considered him a team player. Frenzied pace immediately. Wolf’s first move is to throw Thantos to the turnbuckle and charge him. The old master gets out the way and Wolf flies outside the ring. Thantos pitches him back in and goes for a death jump but Wolf recovers and meets him at the top. Managing to suplex Thantos into the middle of the ring. It’s a shuddering impact that really takes the wind out of Thantos. Wolf doesn’t hang around, straight on with SAVAGE FACE CLAW but Thantos calls on his experience to slowly edge over to grab the ropes. The ref lets Wolf know and he sportingly releases. Then takes a step back and urges Thantos back onto him. It is clear Wolf is perhaps the stronger of the two as makes most of the running again. However same as at the start comes the same mistake. Only this time Thantos gets the boot up on the turnbuckle charge. The rattling impact turns the tide and before long it’s like the old days as they are brawling outside the ring. The ref wants to let it go and allows them to get back into the ring. However within a minute of being back in they are then back out again. Thantos having tossed Wolf over the top rope. This time Wolf goes too far and body slams Thantos straight into the announcer’s table leaving no option but for the disqualification to be called. Shame it couldn’t end on a pin outcome but it was an awesome grapple and both keep their dignity. Their actions speak volumes at the end as we see something that never thought possible. A handshake between Thantos and Wolf. Two guys that were the best of enemies for many years after the code was broken but now united in respect. They will miss each other when Thantos retires no matter what side they might be on.
Sam’s Squadron against the Watchmen ends in double DQ. The Watchmen dominant over Justice who never gets out the ring. Gets subjected to HAZARDOUS WASTE twice and then put in THE TORTURE RACK. Needs to get out soon or he’s finished. Unfortunately he cannot manage it and when the next move is Tocsin Crucifix looks certain to be pinned. That is until US. Patriot tries to save his buddy and a wild brawl between both teams breaks out. With no chance of controlling it the ref disqualifies both teams.
Draconian Sheik overcomes Jack of Diamonds by DQ. Bloody battle. Neither able to get the job done with their finishers. Jack stands up to Drac despite repeated assaults on his face with a sharp bladed object. Exo-King gets wild with the ref that nothing is being done. Becomes so frustrated that he comes in and body slams the ref which, although it gets a cheer, is an instant disqualification. Exo-King justifies action as that he was only looking out for his son but gets a large fine and possible ringside suspension to come.
Amazonia easily beat Maxine Babe. From the top to the bottom of the card in the space of a couple of months Amazonia starts her rebuilding process here. AMAZON ATTACK with barely a minute gone to win is a good start.

Latest News:
Qualitar has been busy working offline. He’s given up most of the commentating gigs to Johnny Rocket. Fans need not worry. He’ll be back on our screens and behind the mic very soon. Qualitar has been working on a book that could be a massive seller called ‘the GWF Files’. It is going to be about the inside of the fed we all love. Featuring little known facts about stars and a whole host of revelations. Commisioner Grogan was worried and initially forbade it calling it a conflict of interests. However once he proof read the first draft he changed track immediately. He was so impressed he has even written the foreword. Qualitar dedicates the book to one of his heroes from the classics era, a guy called Jammer, who is reportedly not in good health these days. In fact he has even written in a huge section about the classics era which many fans know very little of. After the breaking of the code the fed was relaunched and much of the detail from 2074-86 was unofficially purged from history. This could be the first insight for many into that special time and fill in many blanks. The Colonizers repeated attacks on the Genesis team are drawing lots of attention. Mandrill keeps hammering home the message to Max Shield that as long as he and his buddies stay in the GWF they will be exposed to danger. He declares “I am giving you a chance. We have taken away your Interplanetary title. Next will be your health. Get out whilst you still have your bodies intact. If you disappear by the end of the year I might just go easy on your people back home on that freak world Omicron. 16 hours slave labour a day instead of 20!” Max and his team remain more determined than ever to stand up to Mandrill in the wake of this. Max tells Mandrill that this is a feud that will never end. He also has a message of gratitude for Omega. He recognises that if not for the bravery of the living legend things could of been much worse and he could of lost a lot more than the Interplanetary title. Omega tells him “anytime. Am sorry I couldn’t help you keep the belt but am sure you’ll win it back soon. If I can, will gladly help you again. Mandrill is not only a threat to you but to the entire GWF and must be kept in check”. Outside the glare of the wrestling media Thantos has been going on a farewell tour of all his favourite stop offs. Apparently he has been quietly wrestling lots of exhibition matches against stars from other organisations (with Grogan’s blessing as long as keeps up his GWF commitments). This more or less confirms his retirement at the end of 2102. Thantos didn’t say too much about the various opponents he has faced and certainly won’t reveal results. All he did say is watch out for a guy called Terminus. If he ever comes to the GWF could easily be the next big thing.
Offbeat feuds are sometimes the best ones and the latest one is between Mad Jester and Vyper. Normally Vyper has opponents already beaten because of having a psychological edge. Many people fear snakes. However Jester is just too crazy to care. At the same time Jester knows Vyper’s secret phobia and has revealed it to be spiders. What a battle this will be as it is the Spider versus the Snake. Mad Jester is even insisting that he will announced as the Crazy Spider next time he grapples Vyper.
Commissioner Grogan tells wrestlers to clean up their act in an email sent to everyone on the roster. A glut of DQ outcomes was the catalyst for this. Grogan was particularly frustrated on #747. Three huge matches between Mayhem-Heracles, Pegasus-Chaos and Justice-Vigilante all descended into carnage. Leaving fans feeling short changed. Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf have struck a deal with the GWF to host OTB at their lavish Pelf Palace wrestling arena. Speaking of OTB there is more bad news for New Order. Mace’s suspension has also cost them their spot. Although he will be back by the time of the tournament their ranking has dropped too low. No Ladies tournament this year. Heracles shows what a chauvinistic pig he is by calling it a sensible decision and claiming that it is not important. The Commissioner doesn’t share that view and explains the decision as purely down to a lack of numbers on the female roster. Last year’s pilot tournament was entertaining but showed him that awarding byes is not the way forward. Once at least 8 competitors can be put forward there will be a strong case for bringing it back. INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – Mace (2)
WHOSE HOT ... Nefarus, Holocaust, Matador, Mad Jester, Monad, Supernova, the Zodiac, Centaurus Cluster, Genesis Prime WHOSE NOT ... Ram, Colussus, Vyper, Max Shield, Pulsar, Anaxis, Mercenaries, Pillars of Power, Demons of Hydra MEGATOURNAMENT STANDINGS: CPC 419, Omega’s Heroes 414, Morpheus’s Villains 322 (CPC holding a small points buffer now as they move back into the lead. Reynard B. Guile has been trying to take all the credit for their position and points to how well the guys he is managing have dealt with Pegasus. Notwithstanding Ram’s performance. Even thinks he is on equal footing with Colby and Pelf after being invited to join them in their VIP lounge at the last show. From the outside it still looks like an owner and pet relationship but there is no doubt Reynard has stalled the point scoring prowess of Pegasus and given the Independent team every chance against Omega’s team) MVP STANDINGS: SINGLES: Matador 84, Pegasus 80, Janus 68, Raven 55, Alpha Force 50, Chaos 50, Mandrill 47, Mayhem 45, Wolf 42, Bishop Hell 34, Vengeance 33, Colussus 32, Pulsar 23, Monad 22, Holocaust 21, Heracles 21, Max Shield 19, Splatter 10, Enigma 8, Johnny Rocket 1 TAG TEAM: Thunder and Overkill 82, Mercenaries 71, New Order 35, Gamemasters 35, Superiority Complex 27, Generation X 21, Sam’s Squadron 19, Centaurus Cluster 16, Henchmen 10, Titan Fury 10, Flamboyance 4, Pillars of Power 2, Watchmen 2 WOMEN: Amazonia 38, Anaxis 20, Thrash 16, Cassandra 4 WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: Nefarus – Made a dismal start to the GWF much to the delight of the fans but out of nowhere beats Max Shield twice (convincingly) and steals the Interplanetary title away. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: Centaurus Cluster – Making the CPC very happy as the two top titles are back in their possession. Everyone thought this new team had potential but maybe not as much as they have shown.

Dark Matches #1 … Phobos Sundome
Max Shield canters to victory over Tocsin. Amazing how things can change so quickly. A month ago Max was on top of the world. His team had a great GALACTICON and he was the IP champ. Then suddenly two defeats in a row to Nefarus and the loss of the title paint a very different picture. Tonight was about stopping the rot and building himself up again. Tocsin without his partner is a much different proposition although he does still stink up the place. Max handles him pretty easily with MAXIMUM IMPACT twice helping out before a big power bomb leads into the pin; Hunter’s Moon comfortable against the Henchmen. Wildcat having a good match as he dominates both Marcel de Sade and Dreadnaught with the latter falling to WILDCAT STRIKE; Maxine Babe beat Anaxis by DQ. Maxine coming close to a pin upset after Babe Blockbuster. Anaxis, instead of working hard to try and turn it round, rolls outside and then comes back at Maxine intending to break a bowl over her head; The Mercenaries defeat Terak and the Creeper by DQ. Mercenaries looking to work off their anger at some of the recent events. Not quite what they planned for as Vigilante ends up getting choke slammed by Mollock. Krakan and Soldier of Fortune looked too afraid to help him out; Chaos destroyed Crossfire. Dark matches sometimes throw up some odd pairings. This isn’t the sort of match one would expect to see but with OTB looming Chaos was probably looking for someone to crush as practice. Crossfire tries his best but is totally overwhelmed by the power gap and loses after BOW OF DEFEAT is applied multiple times; Cycle Hog squashes Pollux. Comical attempt at a body slam by Pollux results in him collapsing under the weight. Hog laughs, grabs himself a pretzel and whilst still eating delivers a falling elbow crusher to flatten Pollux like a pancake.
Dark Matches #2 … Brymstone Battle Dome
Star Warrior is inspired as he beats Blazing Skull. Things remain very tense between the Champions team and the so called Demonic Beings but it’s no secret Omega wants to put an end to this dangerous rivalry. For now the meetings continue. Within a minute of the match commencing Bishop Hell makes his way half down the runway and stops. He stands and stares at the action but doesn’t move a muscle. Star Warrior is so focused on the match that he isn’t noticing his sinister presence. The first he knows of it is when he goes for COSMIC BIG BANG to put the seal on his early domination. It’s at this point Bishop Hell charges down the runway to get involved. Star Warrior cleverly swivels and nails Bishop Hell instead on the outside. It’s an awesome move that knocks the Bishop out of the match. Back in the ring Star Warrior just picks up where he left off but Blazing Skull surprises him by surviving his finisher three times. Undeterred Star Warrior ignores the growing hostility of the crowd and eventually puts Blazing Skull away with Gamemaster Grip. It’s one of Star Warrior’s greatest ever performances. He is smart and doesn’t hang about to celebrate. Just as well because Blazing Skull’s head goes off in spectacular style moments later. If he had been in the ring there is no telling what damage that could of done. The ref who was stood on the ring steps at the time suffered light injuries as the shockwave sent him tumbling and caused him to strike his head in the fall; Ursa Major pinned Cycle Hog. Ursa Major makes allowances for the huge disparity in weight. Low moves focusing on the legs. Hog just cannot get near him. Ursa Major manages to win after using Hog’s weight against him to use SHOTGUN CRADLE. Cannibal tries to storm in and break it up by charging Ursa Major. The young Titan gets up and jumps out the way and Cannibal just trips over his own guy and falls through the ropes. Ursa Major then repeats the move and pins Hog; Genesis Prime struggle to a win over Flamboyance. Wraith really off colour and lucky not to lose as Vanity uses LADIES CHOICE and Killer Queen strikes with WARP SPEED. He gets away with it both times. Fortunately Vertigo fares better and manages to beat Vanity after Wildfire Windmill; Death’s Head and Draconian Sheik beat Exo-King and Jack of Diamonds. This was a Titan Death match in which Death’s Head pins Exo-King with FUNERAL MARCH after lots of wild brawling action; Kati and Pharoah Khety grapple to a double DQ. Kati is enraged after overhearing Khety describe his people as a primitive race. Seeks to make him pay but ends up frustrated that he can’t finish Khety off. The longer it goes the more likely it was to boil over and that’s exactly what happened; Stalker beat Darkos. Initially looks like Stalker has too much in the locker for Darkos but after a near miss with CALL OF THE WILD finds the going tougher than expected. Darkos makes a real fight off it and even uses FINAL CURTAIN twice. Trouble is Darkos missed a death jump whilst on top and Stalker got out of jail.
***OTB BUILD UP***
Points aplenty up for grabs as Commissioner Grogan decrees that the winners will score 10 bonus points if they are on one of the rosters. Also to make things fair among the active MEGATOURNAMENT rosters each team will have 2 participants in each bracket. There is the usual posturing of guys trying to ensure they are part of the event causing managers some selection head aches. The biggest absentees are New Order and the Mercenaries. In the case of New Order, Grogan blocks their entry because they are ranked too low. It means that the Gamemasters are forced back into action as a team (perhaps against the will of Thantos) for one last shot at glory together. Colby and Pelf show favour to Centaurus Cluster and the Gladiators over the Mercenaries which angers Krakan. In another controversy Morpheus decides to veto the Watchmen to show Mandrill who is boss. Mandrill is also pushed into the cage tournament so that Chaos and Heracles can pursue singles glory. Janus misses out altogether. There is the opportunity of a lifetime for Jack of Diamonds in the singles bracket. Benefitting from restrictions placed on MEGATOURNAMENT wrestlers he is deemed best of the rest. Can he hold his own against the big guns? Buck Steele also makes it in. Has posted some amazing wins including a huge victory over Mandrill and fully deserves his chance. The dream match would be to see him come up against Chaos and transforming into Genocide.

Card 749 – Fire Island:
Tag title match, Centaurus Cluster and the Zodiac cannot be split as time expires. On such a big night the Overlord receives a humiliation from his own guys. Tired of his endless chanting and pledging of peace throughout every build up interview or promo Mesmer finally cracks on their approach to the ring. In front of all the crowd and cameras tells his manager to shut up before he places a dark spell on him. The Overlord looks shocked and frightened. Sinks to his knees and grabs at Mesmer’s cloak begging forgiveness. Mesmer says nothing and turns to continue his approach to the ring. The Overlord picks himself up and follows his team quietly. Doesn’t make a single sound after that. An intriguing tussle ensues. Twenty minutes absolutely fly by and when the time limit expires everyone is genuinely surprised. Crossfire struggled at first. As if the responsibility of being a champion was weighing down on him. Archon is there to pick up the baton and has a fantastic tussle with Mesmer. Survives EVIL EYE twice but probably won’t be too thankful for the pin saves or managerial interference conducted on his behalf due to his honourable values. Nonetheless he fights valiantly back and Crossfire now picks up his game and shows some appetite. Credit to the Zodiac though. This was a big opportunity that may not come around again and they were giving it everything. Even when Archon got going on his submission style with CROSS KNEE RACK they were clever not to let him get on too much of a roll. Crossfire started taking more risks as the final minutes ticked and his Flying Missile Shots were thrilling the crowd. Really was anybody’s match to win. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it apart from Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf who were looking very worried that their prized investments might be about to drop the tag belts at the first time of asking. The look of relief on Colby’s face when the bell went to signal a draw was priceless.
Vyper takes down Mad Jester (aka the Crazy Spider). The spider phobia revelations have given Vyper’s enemies lots of ammo. Jester is playing the moment up. Dressed up in full arachnid costume and carrying two big jars full of spiders. Puts the jars into the middle of the ring and threatens to smash them with a hammer. Vyper, in his panic, seeks protection from Mollock. However it is soon clear Mollock isn’t fond of spiders either. So much so that Mollock suddenly leaves. The thought of any bugs crawling through its fur is too much. Vyper is on his own. Jester laughs and then pulls a small device from inside his left boot. A quick press of the button casts a huge web from his sleeve to trap Vyper up against the turnbuckle. He’s full of tricks and there is worry about how Vyper might handle all this. Suddenly Vyper seems to have an epiphany and gets his head together before Jester can even think about adapting A DEAD MAN’S VERSE to suit the scenario. Rips his way out of the web and heads over to loosen the lid on both jars letting the creepy crawlies go all over him. Some of them scuttle into the crowd causing some screams. Despite profusely sweating during this segment Vyper shows a great mental strength to confront his fear in front of the galaxy. Jester’s laughing abruptly ends as the demonstration ends and Vyper now grits his teeth to lunge at him and finally commence the match. The pace of it is incredible. At one dramatic point Jester tries to charge Vyper in one of corners. Vyper sidesteps and as Jester rebounds hard he quickly performs VYPER’S SIDESHOW. Should of got the pin there and then but as he was covering a spider sped across Vyper’s eyeline a couple of inches away causing him to jump up. Jester gets given a chance and comes back forcefully with hardcore stuff but Vyper shakes the scare off and gets back down to it. He is edging the hardcore battle and when Jester starts to bleed smells a chance to finish it off. A quick mule kick sets up another chance with VYPER’S SIDESHOW and this time the pin sticks. Having won Vyper gets out as fast as he can. Is desperate to shower and wash that creepy crawly feeling out of his body. He’s not fully over his phobia yet but tonight has shown that it won’t get the better of him.
Dynamo somewhat fortuitous to beat Vanity. Former partners meet. Vanity bucking the trends of fashion again. Calls himself a trend setter but cannot really see the gold feather boa he is wearing catching on. Dynamo, who is trying get over the humiliation of being caught short before his last match, is eager to get started and rips the feather boa from Vanity and uses it to strangle him. Relations aren’t good outside the ring either as Cassandra and Maxine Babe are catfighting. There is some controversy as the ref takes a bump during the bout and misses LADIES CHOICE. It’s a huge let off for Dynamo who later recovers to win after his third MUSCLE RIPPER. The conflict doesn’t end in the ring as whilst Dynamo was wrestling Vanity’s partner, Killer Queen, is up to no good. Breaking into Dynamo’s locker and putting laxatives into one of his energy drinks. The less said about what happened to Dynamo later in the evening the better. Generation X overcome Genesis Prime. Wraith injecting some heat by calling Generation X a couple of layabouts. Johnny Rocket has plenty to say about that hitting back where it hurts, “my guys maybe a bit too fond of partying but at least they aren’t a couple of freaks who rely on illegal powers to help them in matches”. Maybe Johnny’s words got to them or perhaps it was the old problem of inconsistency plaguing Genesis Prime. They don’t have a great match. Wraith gets busted open with THE SOUND OF MUSIC (+5). Vertigo saves his pal so they survive. But they don’t get away with it when Grunge nails Vertigo having been helped by a sneaky pin reversal. KILLER AIR GUITAR leads into a pretty dominant win.
Bishop Hell easily beats Exo-King with HELLFIRE. The Bishop never forgets old enemies. Is well in control and builds to a big fiery finish. A painful reminder for the King of the effectiveness of the move.
Vengeance beats Stalker after just two moves. Timed at under 30 seconds. Stalker starts with a crowbar and then throws Vengeance into the turnbuckle. The follow up misses and he gets immediately pinned.

Am pretty happy to of almost reached landmark number 750 cards in my fed. I guess pretty fitting it will be the beginning of my OTB event. Taken me I reckon 20 years to get this far. Of course I am excited if I can reach 1000. I suppose all the dark shows I've also done might push the number up significantly more but I don't count those. See them more as fillers. I did complete the 2074-86 era which was 162 cards in total. So they were numbered separately, so I guess overall have so far played 911 official cards.

Pretty awesome job Wayne to get to that landmark episode. You put a lot of work into your write ups and usually one of the things I read in the morning after my work out and before I log into work.
In a weird way thanks to Covid I'm about to get 500 cards in my fed but it's mainly due to being unemployed the first two months and sitting down and playing whole years in a day since I got banished to the second floor lol (my wife was working from home, shes a social worker and I cant see whats shes doing or saying).
Good job and good luck getting to 1000!
