GWF REPORT (SUDDEN DEATH 2104 CARDS 861 - 864)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Pegasus (Top Contender: Chaos) * GWF Tag Champs: No Fear (Top Contenders: Ninja Assassins) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Talisman (Top Contender: Draconian Sheik) * GWF Ladies Champ: Anaxis (Top Contender: Thrash) * CPC Heavyweight Champ: Matador of M83 (Top Contender: n/a)
Latest News:
A busy month for title switches. The Ladies, Tag and IP belts all changed hands. For sure the tag victory by No Fear was most dramatic. It wasn’t just a title change, it won them the feud and retired the hated Bishop Hell after 17 years of terrorising the GWF. Considering everything Pulsar and Archon have been through to reach this point it is an incredible achievement. The one title that was expected to change hands didn’t. Pegasus was injury ravaged and forced into the ring if he didn’t want to give up the Heavyweight belt. Somehow he still came through against Death’s Head. He still carries his ailments into 2105 so might be vulnerable to the next challenger but with every passing day things are improving. It’s no secret that Chaos wants to challenge him as soon as possible before Pegasus gets too healed up. But at the moment there is no guarantee that the GWF will see him as #1 contender. Chaos already had a failed title shot as recently as #852.
Horror at the Arcturus Parthenon as another of those violent attacks that will forever be a part of history happens. The victim this time is Vertigo at the hands of Tocsin. He was relentlessly beaten on the body and legs with a baseball bat. Painmaster made sure he was not involved to escape any disciplinary action. Whatever decision is made will be solely on Tocsin’s shoulders. The seriousness of Vertigo’s injuries are not fully known at this time. As at the time of writing he is still in hospital and being assessed. The concern is this could be a career ending injury. Not too many words coming out of the Genesis camp but Max Shield assumes full leadership and says “our thoughts will always be with our friend and leader, Vertigo, but whatever happens we will soldier on. He won’t want us wallowing in grief. The feud with the Colonizers continues for as long as it has to. They won’t get away with this latest atrocity”.
Changes afoot now SUDDEN DEATH is over. Press conferences will be real interesting where the banishments will be officially announced but it’s a hero clean sweep in the feuds pitting a hero team against a villain one. Of course a couple of the feuds didn’t fit into that category. The headline feud saw Sam’s Stormtroopers soundly beaten in the end. It all went wrong around the time of GALACTICON. All the success dried up and their point count started trickling. Many call this Omega’s finest victory yet. It will be good riddance to one of the Stormtroopers team. Not known how this will play out just yet as we await the start of next year. Although it looks increasingly likely that Commando Sam won’t be at the helm.
Biggest landslide undoubtedly was the Gladiators over the Hitmen. Considering the Gladiators were trailing big up til about halfway this was incredible. But in 2104 the addition of Malice galvanised them. I had serious doubts as to whether the Hitmen managed a single victory over them in 2104. It took a while to check but I found just 4 victories in the end and three of those were only by DQ. TEAM SUPREME was just a further humiliation for the Hitmen.
Many of the other feuds were dramatic and open right til the end. The most tense was No Fear against the Lords of Fire which hinged on the main event at FINAL BATTLE. The feud between the Fighting Titans and Masked Assassins ended much closer than it really was. There was the desperate attack on Lord Nexus by the Ninja Assassins but it didn’t stop the Titans closing out victory and thankfully the seriousness of his injuries are not too great. Genesis finished off the Colonizers despite the shock of what happened to Vertigo. Other winners were WAR, Savage Kingdom, Jack of Diamonds, Killer Queen and Dynamo.
Have to feel sorry for Scourge. He was within a point of Dynamo and should of gotten one last match decider at FINAL BATTLE but the GWF focused on bigger feuds to fill the match slots and denied him the opportunity. So Dynamo wins the feud. Having been banished as a result of SUDDEN DEATH twice now that is probably the last we’ll ever see of Scourge.
With all the talk of the final standings it almost gets forgotten we had a classic TEAM SUPREME event with another shock winner in Genesis. It could be argued the success enjoyed here by WAR and Genesis are what pushed both teams over the line towards their popular overall feud victories. It remains a mystery how teams like the Champions and the Gladiators have never triumphed at this event. They always come up short. End of year awards were dominated by Pegasus. He was head and shoulders above the rest. Raven did well to get the runner up spot in the wrestler of the year category despite not holding any belt gold this year (second year in a row). His performances at OTB and TEAM SUPREME are what got him noticed. When Dark Justice misses out he labels GWI a joke publication full of smut and inaccuracies. He thinks having 2 runs with the IP belt deserved recognition. He’d do well not to upset the editorial staff as some of the guys working there hold a lot of influence over GWF rankings. It could jeopardise his chances of getting another shot at it anytime soon. Newcomer of year without doubt is Malice. What an impact. Transformed the feud for the Gladiators and saved Vengeance’s bacon. Toyed with giving the Ninja Assassins second place but as they aren’t technically newcomers, despite their radical overhaul, I plumped for Scion Nexus instead. Other notable placings were Tocsin making a late charge to most hated for what he did to Vertigo. Once the footage started getting shared he become a real figure of hate. He wasn’t exactly too highly thought of even before that. Pegasus also scooped the popularity and inspirational awards for leading his team to victory and dominating the main belt. He really connected with the fans this year. Wolf was actually down on the most popular list as his lack of commitment to Genesis hurt him but his Santa antics over the last few cards reminded many fans just why they love him.
There is a lot of worrying about the posturing of the CPC. Reports that Colby and Pelf are haemorrhaging cash as part of some mega plan soon to be unveiled. However the GWF tries to put that to the back of their minds and prepare for the BETTY awards. It’s the BLOCKBUSTER END TO THE YEAR that happens every third year and includes the new inductees to the Hall of Fame. Morpheus, KO Keller and Torin Caelum set to become the latest guys to enter its hallowed list. INJURED – Manslaughter (1), Pegasus (3), Vertigo (4); SUSPENDED – Splatter (2), Alpha Force (3)

THE BETTY AWARDS
List of previous inductees is Thantos, Spike, Brute and Massacre, Matador, Omega, Greek Gods. Of course the Matador is the only active wrestler in the Hall of Fame. An astonishing honour given largely for his incredible 94 card run with the IP belt. Now three more to join them and an opportunity to celebrate their careers. Precautions in abundance at the lavish ceremony. The guest list is like a who’s who of wrestling with stars past and present in attendance. Mixing with many celebs of varying reputations. Even former Commissioner Carter is present. He now looks quite elderly and it is noted that halfway through the ceremony he crashed out and was dribbling. Poor old codger. Anyway all are here to honour the latest inductees who are to be Morpheus, KO Keller and Torin Caelum. All of them get a huge ovation. Even Morpheus despite his shady past. He may of been gone a couple years but still looks in great shape. In fact they all look great. Torin Caelum and KO Keller, complete with their bow ties, have barely aged at all putting to bed rumours that Torin now requires the aid of a walking stick to get around whilst Keller can never be more than a stones throw from a toilet. Morpheus: Whatever anyone thinks of him there is no doubt that Morpheus is one of the most important figures in GWF history. Without him we wouldn’t be here today. There is a lot of controversy that he is not listed as the first champion. Having won it at the tournament he was dethroned immediately in the first title match afterwards against Omega. As he didn’t successfully defend the belt he wasn’t listed in the record books and the honour of first champion went to Omega. He had many title attempts over the years but never did win the belt again. He was certainly a victim of competing in a very strong field. Omega at his peak was virtually unbeatable. His role in influencing Thantos to break the Galactic Code after retiring has come under scrutiny but never proven. Years later when he returned to manage the Citadel of the Elite as the top villain manager he grazed on lots of successes. Presiding over many championships and getting the better of Omega’s team. Unfortunately it didn’t last and the MEGATOURNAMENT gamble backfired as his top stars misfired. Despite all that he leaves a long lasting legacy and deserves his spot as tonight’s main inductee to the Hall of Fame. KO Keller: One of the most popular guys of the classics era. Keller was a no nonsense fighter and second to the legendary Omega in terms of success. He enjoyed two long reigns as champ. Later in his career he forged a close bond with Lord Nexus. This gave him an extension to wrestling days. Lord Nexus is forever grateful for the help and guidance Keller gave him. He had to deal with a crowd heckler who accused him of waffling and riding Omega’s coat tails in the early days but they were soon removed by security. Keller continued his speech and didn’t let that little incident ruin his big night. Torin Caelum: Many modern fans only have a vague recollection of Torin. He was a brilliant technical wrestler who still maintains an interest in running a wrestling school to this day. He was past his prime when the GWF was formed which shows what a capable guy he must of been in his POW days. He was the first guy to take the belt off Omega. Sadly his reign didn’t last too long and he never reached those heights again. Maybe underperformed slightly given his stats but still remembered by older fans as one of the greats and deserving of tonight’s accolade.
BIG BETTY BASH – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Very much booked with an exhibition flavour. The Titans recognise the close past relationship Lord Nexus had with KO Keller. In tribute to him they turn out in force and feature heavily. As a special moment Lord Nexus asks KO Keller to be at ringside managing for his match. When Chaos was asked if he’d like to make a similar gesture to Morpheus the response was one that ended in the word ‘off’ … Was trying to get a few info nuggets into this last show as kind of like teasers for 2105. Superiority Complex on the brink of being no more and of course the impending collapse of the Murderer’s Row team.
Max Shield and Raven grinds out a win over Superiority Complex via DQ. In a change from the norm Max and Raven team up after the special bond struck up at TEAM SUPREME whilst grappling each other. What better way than to come together for this unique occasion. Superiority Complex are booked against them in a nod to Morpheus. Although they are self centred and not exactly close to the great man despite all he did for him. In fact Prodigy was really reluctant to wrestle the match and has to be cajoled. Controversially saying he’s had enough of tag action this year. Come match time Superiority Complex burn to the ring on motorbikes. Circling round and round. Their antics annoy Max and Raven. They daren’t come out if they value their lives and are trapped in the ring. The minute their backs turn as they remonstrate with the ref over this game playing Prodigy and Skinhead throw down their bikes and rush the ring to beat their opponents down from behind. It becomes a doozy for the two heroes as they struggle to get in sync. Understandable seeing as they’ve never tagged before. An early case of just hanging in there until something clicks. Thankfully they weather the storm and Max then starts to show some fight. Unleashing MAXIMUM IMPACT on a couple of occasions. However the defensive tags of Superiority Complex have been a huge part of their success over the years and it’s what gets them out of trouble again. Raven looks a little jaded after all his recent heroics and starts to struggle against Skinhead. Uncharacteristically he rolls out the ring for a breather. Normally he likes to stand and fight. Skinhead follows and tries to pitch him back in but gets annoyed with partner, Prodigy, for jumping in and double teaming. When he refuses to stop the referee issues the DQ. Skinhead looks annoyed with him for this pointless act. Prodigy doesn’t seem to care and is overheard saying to Skinhead “does it really matter? It’s a sh*t event that means nothing. It was going on too long and I got important things to do”.
Star Warrior extends the miserable run of Holocaust. Little did everyone know but this was Star Warrior’s swansong (a memorable 25 year wrestling career). It was a tough test but Holocaust has been in dreadful wrestling form (6 straight losses and soon to be 7). Has got nowhere near his potential to be a big player contesting the Heavyweight belt ever since his dramatic arrival into the GWF in 2097. No Johnny Rocket with him. Probably still sulking over his team’s defeat to WAR and plotting what he can do next year. Before the match begins Star Warrior asks for the mic and makes an emotional introduction for his father, Omega, to come out. Of course Omega does come to ringside occasionally but not normally for matches like this. The way they hug and Star Warrior then wipes a tear suggests there is more to this than they are letting on at this time. Holocaust soon interrupts their show of affection. Drawing boos from the fans as he tosses Omega outside and starts laying into Star Warrior. Not going well as Holocaust dominates the first minutes and places his hand onto Star Warrior’s chest to deliver SHOCKWAVE. Groans turn to cheers as Holocaust then drops backwards onto the mat. The instability of the move overloads him. Although Star Warrior doesn’t get the pin from this it’s the lift he needed. Comes back big time and although it goes back and forth a bit there was a sense Star Warrior would prevail now. With Omega expertly dealing out encouragement and saying the right things at the right time his son works the position everyone wanted to see. Mounted on the top turnbuckle ready to leap. Holocaust staggered straight into COSMIC BIG BANG and it’s over. Star Warrior is overjoyed and there is another embrace with Omega. Wonderful moment.
Mutant lays waste to Lord Nexus. Massive cheer for KO Keller who is in the corner of Lord Nexus. The two great friends hold up each other’s arms to begin. There is no time to reminisce though as they both get attacked from behind by the Mercenaries. Krakan’s hatred for them still burns. Looks bad but Keller never shirked anything in his life and wasn’t about to start here. Stands up to the advancing Vigilante who is armed with his rifle. In a great moment Keller decks him with a punch. Nobody was going to pop his balloon and get away with it. Simultaneously Lord Nexus dropkicks Mutant who falls through the ropes and cannons into Soldier of Fortune. Before the Mercenaries can dust themselves down and launch a second wave attack a fleet of security sets upon them. Stun rods being used in taser mode to force them away from the action. But the danger isn’t over as Lord Nexus has still got to deal with Mutant. It absolutely destroyed Wildcat recently. A reminder of its wild capabilities and it’s trail of destruction continues here. The earlier drama maybe taking out of Lord Nexus’s ageing body. He shows a little of the old magic but generally can’t cope with Mutant. The pain of TEMPLE GRINDER too much to take. Of course with no apparent handlers accompanying Mutant there is a struggle to control it. The match is over and the bell rings but Mutant keeps on attacking. Not for the first time KO Keller rolls up his sleeves and gets involved. Pulls Mutant off and sends it whimpering away with a flurry of punches. He then helps Lord Nexus to his feet and checks on the ref who took a few blows from Mutant. Lord Nexus walks across to hug his great mate and wishes him well for later “see you at the ceremony buddy, you deserve this”. Not the result everyone wanted but still special to see this happen.
In the middle of the card Cycle Hog shows up and starts selling ‘Hog Shakes’ to the crowd. They are very calorific. One frosty official orders him to leave to which Hog remarks “give me a break. I gotta make a living, I’ll be out of a job soon”. Guess that’s an early teaser as to whose getting banished from Cannibal’s team then.
Dynamo overpowered Terak. A classic old feud gets recycled. Terak had some great battles at the last SUDDEN DEATH, almost a decade ago, when Dynamo was Mr. Galaxy. Maxine Babe springs a surprise as she is with Dynamo who is busy posing and preening and not paying attention. He thinks Terak is too old and doddery to hurt him. Terak is bugged by the disrespect and plants his old rival straight into a turnbuckle before the bell as he strikes yet another pose. It then gets worse as Mollock picks up Maxine Babe and carries her away kicking and screaming. It’s like something out of a King Kong movie. Back in the ring Dynamo is getting his ass kicked. Crowd is excited and senses an upset but end up being disappointed. Terak cannot keep up the pace and Dynamo settles. His incredible power coming to the fore and very much in evidence with Dynamo Rib Crusher. Terak cannot struggle free and eventually fades. Maxine Babe runs back out having given Mollock the slip and writhes all over the posing Dynamo.
Titan Attack just about able to see off the Upstart Punks. The Punks try to put their stamp on the big night. Brag the GWF should stop living in the past and honouring washed up over achievers. Time for the future of wrestling to be in the spotlight. Clearly they learned nothing from the beating the Gladiators gave them a couple weeks ago and still believe they are better than they are. Their opponents, Titan Attack, are much more likely to become future stars. Although the expected easy win for the Titans doesn’t materialise. The Punks have been bogey opponents before for Titan teams having shocked Titan Fury in the past. We nearly have a repeat upset as both Scion Nexus and Ursa Major have to react to PROPULSION PILEDRIVER. Thankfully they battle back and Scion starts taking the match to the Punks. Takes a few goes but he puts away Taurine with THE RISE AND FALL and the banana skin is avoided.
Zouave defeated Pulsar by DQ for a rare win. Almost certainly Zouave’s last match for at least 2 years and maybe forever. No doubt as the weakest member of the Masked Assassins he will take the fall for their loss and be banished. Pulsar gives the fans a treat by proudly wearing his half of the tag belts that No Fear has just won. Darkos, whose Ninja Assassins will be the first challengers, warns him not to get too used to wearing it. One Eagle eyed reporter wonders why Thantos isn’t with Pulsar tonight. Seems strange he wouldn’t be at a big commemorative occasion like this. No doubt Pulsar would want to downplay this but he certainly could of used his manager. He got caught red handed using ACID RAIN and lost the match because of it.

CPC 2105 INTRO
There was so much drama at the press conferences after the results were announced. The summary of them is as follows:
CPC … Well it finally happened as ‘Maggie and Pelf’ confirm the creation of the CPC as a legal and independent wrestling organisation to take on the GWF. Unless you’ve been living under a rock it was clear something very big was on the cards for quite a while now. The meticulous planning all leading to this. The main arena will be Pelf Palace and is even plusher (if that’s possible) than before after a multi-million upgrade. Even the ring gets a facelift and is now emblazoned with the logo in the middle. Reynard B. Guile is rewarded for all his hard work with the position of Commissioner. Announcements on the initial champions and signings all to follow. Smart money is on the Matador being installed as the top guy after what happened last year. B. Guile not expected to be unbiased Commissioner and will surely make life for any non CPC wrestlers difficult to make an impact. This is what steals the headlines for the year of 2105 and heralds the start of one of the most unique and unexpected storylines in history.
CHAMPIONS-STORMTROOPERS … Major revelations. Omega ends on a high and retires. Star Warrior takes on the managerial reins of the team. With the torch passed Star Warrior pays tribute to his father and speaks on a few subjects including that the team will be standing up to the CPC and try to protect the GWF. No way they’d allow the fed his father lovingly created with Morpheus to be crushed into the ground. But overshadowing all that was the shock appearance of Phantast. Mesmer had just tried to banish Chaos for the loss. Phantast then showed up and revealed the trickery Mesmer was using to manipulate people like Commando Sam, Massif and even Pharaoh Khety. By injecting Faltax which preys upon ‘susceptible’ minds. The tables are then turned and Mesmer is banished by Commando Sam. Of course Sam is freed from the drug effects now back to his old self and publicly apologises to Omega. During the whole saga Chaos calls Sam a loser and officially dumps him from the Stormtrooper team. In essence Sam hadn’t been in control for some time but this made it certain. The team then leaves. It almost doesn’t get noticed that Prodigy was missing from the entire press conference. As for Mesmer he features prominently later on in the CPC press conferences but meets a sticky end. Sightings of him after that are fleeting. After a few months he disappeared for good and nobody knows where he went. Rumoured to of fleed to Dimension X where he did eventually duel with Phantast and met a grisly demise.
COLONIZERS-GENESIS … The Colonizers go first. Tocsin savagely attacked Vertigo at the end of 2105 leading to serious injuries. Vertigo had been left in the lurch when Blizzard was unreliable and did not show up for a match against the Watchmen. Tocsin got a long 3 month suspension but it doesn’t matter as Mandrill banishes him and changes his into Sentry. The dangerous new bodyguard of the Colonizers. Ram is blamed for the whole feud loss but at least he is released from his slave shackles. Current position and fate unknown. Mandrill strengthens the team by bringing Vendetta in to create an awesome new tag team, Rebel Empire. He also declares he is ready to take over the villain team with a leadership void created by the disbanding of the Stormtroopers. He will be asking the other villain managers for their support and recognition of his status. Pretty ominous. Genesis have no time to bask in SUDDEN DEATH victory. They don’t look much like winners with Blizzard AWOL, Vertigo injured and Wolf gone. It’s almost as if the Colonizers have stolen victory from the ashes of defeat. Genesis will be without Vertigo for at least a month and even then when he returns the injury will be with him all year (as a minor injury). It could be a tough 12 months ahead.
BRYMSTONE BURNING-THE CENTAURIANS … Despite losing to No Fear the Brymstone Burning team does not care. Bishop Hell is forced to retire and blamed. The main talking point is the emergence of Death’s Head as being a Brymstone native and the arrival of Erebus, a deeply disturbing looking entity. Mandrill interupts things to try and gain the backing of the Brymstonians. Maleph agrees to support but warns they cannot always be trusted. Mandrill is satisfied enough with the response and even suggests he and Blazing Skull should team up on occasion to battle mutual enemies Max Shield and Archon. For the Centaurians there is some change. Pulsar is no longer with them but receives a glowing reference from Archon. It was always planned that it would only be a 2 year alliance. As No Fear is the current tag champions Archon says they will continue to team together until they lose the belts. His manager, Thantos, is missing too but Archon does not know why this is. Johnny Rocket cruelly jibes it is because Thantos is so old that he has become forgetful. The arrival of Blade with a dramatic demonstration of switchblade throwing creates the big buzz. He is the brother of the murdered Crossfire so he is fuelled by a deep passion to take on Blazing Skull. They are joined by Talisman. As a result the team inherits the IP belt. Not that Archon is driven by that. He wants it to be business as usual and by that means beating the Brymstonians anytime, any place just like last year.
HITMEN FOR HIRE … This was an unbelievable swerve. Krakan thinks long and hard about who’ll be banished after his team was crushed by the Gladiators. Everyone thinks it is for show and Mayhem would be the target. The fact Mayhem had even turned up was a surprise. Suddenly Mutant runs in from behind grabbing Arsenal off a table and smashes Splatter down. Mayhem begs for a turn and continues the brutal assault. Krakan and the Mercenaries quietly watch. Eventually Krakan interjects “as Splatter is too badly injured to be of any use he will be banished”. Nobody could believe it but it is soon apparent that all the problems with Mayhem last year was to throw Splatter off the scent. He was always going to be scapegoat. With the message delivered and the beating dished out Krakan refuses to accept Mandrill as the villain leader. The future role of the Hitmen unclear. When asked if they will side with the CPC Krakan says it’s a possibility “if the price is right”. Splatter is left bleeding and unconscious with Mayhem administering one final hit, making him spasm, before the Hitmen leave. With Death’s Head and Mutant now apparently on new teams the final question is of the fate of Murderer’s Row now they are 2 members down.
WAR-GLADIATORS … Blood rematch 10 years in the making. TEAM SUPREME late last year got the juices flowing but that was small time compared to this. Wolf does his usual thing of going where the most intense action is and joins WAR to face the Gladiators. He replaces Eagle, who won’t be wrestling this year, and makes the team very much stronger for it. No disrespect to Eagle but he was a serious weak spot although Johnny Rocket’s comment about ‘looking in the mirror and realising he stinks’ was unkind. Vengeance wants WAR to agree to another SUDDEN DEATH contest but Destructon 3000, despite accusations of cowardice, won’t be drawn in and commit his team. Tellingly WAR looks very together. Mace is making all the right noises and is perhaps back on the same page as the others. Driven by the motivation of battling the Gladiators again. The final segment sees Nefarus infiltrate and immediately say to Vengeance “I think you know why I am here”. He gets the yes he wanted and quietly leaves. Vengeance soon makes it clear the conditions of allowing Mandrill to lead the villain team are very much the same as existed with Thantos back in 2086. No rules or expectations. It is more a co-existence but with WAR on the side of the heroes it is natural that the Gladiators will line up on the opposite. Mandrill and Nefarus know all too well not to tamper with things. All they needed was for the Gladiators not to be against them and appear to of gotten that wish.
ROCKETMEN … Johnny Rocket so far playing good cop/bad cop. Winning back fans for his very public disdain for the CPC but he is still not to be trusted and very much of a heel persuasion. The direction of this press conference was interesting and casts him very much back in a villain role. He’d alluded to his big signing previously and now was time to deliver on it. The announcement that Holocaust was banished an afterthought. Almost giddy with excitement Rocket announces the signing of Paragon. The man who went toe to toe with Chaos in WGX. Shock at how he had pulled it off. But Rocket’s demeanour turns to embarrassment as Paragon no shows. X-Termination and Brainstorm are sent out to have a look around. Whilst that happens a lackey runs up to Rocket and hands over a letter. Rocket reads it and then crumples it in his fist before angrily storming out of the room.
FDF-CASSANDRA’S STORMTROOPERS … Any doubts about Sam’s state of mind cast aside. He insists on being called Commander again. Back to pilot the legendary FDF team and all is forgiven. His years of loyalty to the hero team are not forgotten. Joining Sam, US. Patriot and Ms. Liberty are Jack of Diamonds and Killer Queen. They will not have two managers but Exo-King says he is on hand to assist Sam in the running of the team whenever needed. Cassandra picks up the bones of the Stormtroopers. Just her, Dark Justice, Powerhouse and Hammer left. Don’t fancy their chances much especially with Justice showing a little doubt. He is annoyed at all the chop and change. Doesn’t want to keep switching sides like some kind of ping pong ball. For now his only priority is beating US. Patriot and also to regain the IP belt which he had a strong hold on last year.
CHAOS, HERACLES, SKINHEAD … For once Chaos and his team are not centre of attention. Chaos does most of the talking and says they are through with managers and will have no team name. It is quickly apparent Prodigy is no longer with them which brings about the end of one of greatest tag teams in history, Superiority Complex. Chaos wants to know why Johnny Rocket had tried to sign his once great rival, Paragon. A potentially heated situation gets diffused quickly as Rocket strokes the massive ego of Chaos and agrees to tell him everything in private. All very unprofessional as nobody bothers to formally close the press conference. Rocket and Chaos just walk off and start whispering whilst covering their mouths to stifle any lip reading. Everyone is itching to find out more on this but the secrecy around Paragon remains for now.
FIGHTING TITANS-MASKED ASSASSINS … No surprises to learn that Zouave takes the fall for the Masked Assassins loss to the Titans. Darkos tries to sound regretful but he was always there as an insurance policy. The huge news though was the return of Pulsar to the Titans. An emotional reunion. Darkos accuses Lord Nexus of hypocrisy to accept someone who uses an illegal finisher like ACID RAIN. Maybe some truth in that but Lord Nexus says they’ve agreed that the move will only ever be used if the opponent cheats first. Pulsar brings with him one half of the tag belts. Although he and Archon are no longer on the same team they do not want to just give up the belts (poor Archon had to do that once before when Crossfire perished). He confirms they will continue the tag team until they eventually drop the belts and then split up permanently. There is not too much to say beyond that as this long standing feud continues. No moaning about that because the matches are always high quality. Oh and almost forgot that Nefarus showed up at the end and got the pledge of support from Darkos towards Mandrill. The caveat being when Darkos adds “just don’t forget me when I need something”. He got no response to that.
SAVAGE KINGDOM-ROCKETMEN … This was two press conferences but I’ll roll it into one. Initially meant to feature Murderer’s Row but the team is crippled. The only detail that emerges is that Cannibal has decided to leave the GWF and Cycle Hog becomes the banished one. No time to pop the champagne for Terak. Knowing that WAR are otherwise engaged with the Gladiators he decides to challenge the Rocketmen to a feud. So the next press conference that takes place focuses on this new rivalry. Maxine Babe dumps her banished boyfriend, Vanity, and joins Rocket’s team along with Dynamo. But that’s all a sideshow as everyone wants to know what’s going on with Paragon joining the Rocketmen. Johnny nervously says there is a tiny problem with the contract which his lawyers are looking into. He expects it to be settled soon and to formally announce Paragon’s arrival in a few days.
CPC … Lots to talk about. There will be team press conferences to come but Colby, Pelf and B. Guile take the stage. Commissioner Guile, after some scolding from his employers, gets on with announcing that an exciting new Zero Gravity Platform match will become a part of CPC shows and a full suite of championship belts created including a Cruiserweight title. The weight limit is 240 lbs and B. Guile jokes that if he wasn’t busy as the Commissioner he might try to win it himself. All done to show the GWF up. Apparently private tournaments have been run to establish the first champions although it is suspected the Matador’s trial run as it’s Heavyweight holder and all the manoeuvrings means he hasn’t had to undergo all the rigours of all that. Anyway I digress. The GWF is challenged to come to Pelf Palace and contest these belts (all pending Guile’s approval of course) where they will be shown to be inferior. It is all the start of the CPC becoming the premiere wrestling federation. Next comes an unwelcome interruption as a mist forms and Mesmer appears. Seems he was in cahoots with the CPC and is ready to join them as reward for a job well done. That’s not how Colby sees it though as he remarks Mesmer failed in his mission to get Chaos banished. Mesmer contests this and says Colby must deliver on his promise to make him the main manager of the CPC team. He argues that Phantast showing up was the reason things did not work out. Everyone listens with amazement as it is clear that the CPC had paid him to cause all the disrupting of the last two years. Things get heated as we all learn that the CPC had been using Mesmer as a pawn and they already have a top manager lined up. Slightly panicked Mesmer explains he has to join the CPC as he cannot go back to the GWF but is told that is his problem and not theirs. Mesmer has outlived his usefulness and is asked to leave. Whereupon Splatter emerges from behind a large pillar and smashes Mesmer from behind with Arsenal. Mesmer falls to the plush red carpet completely unconscious. Splatter picks Mesmer up and drapes him over a shoulder. Pelf orders Splatter to now escort him off the premises. All very dramatic and this signals the end of the introduction. Tomorrow the first team press conference.
PENTHOUSE SUITE … The members are the Matador, Janus, Terminus and Prodigy and as the name suggests they represent the pinnacle of the CPC. The big reveal is that of their manager. Thantos is unveiled. He digs at his past team mates like Star Warrior and how they get big send offs by the GWF when they retired. He complains that he is done with the GWF and doesn’t want to be managing second rate bums like Archon and be categorised with lower tier managers like Lord Nexus and Terak. There is very obvious jealousy in his voice when he refers to Star Warrior getting the high profile gig of managing the Champions team. Then he is asked why he didn’t decide to manage Chaos or get involved at the Colonizers. Thantos reveals he could never work with Chaos again after the betrayal nearly ten years ago. His team is a shambles anyhow. Whilst the Colonizers would be interesting they are a closed group. Thantos is happy to inherit such incredible talent that he now has at his disposal. A chance to make history for a second time and remind everyone that he is still the man. He then moves on from anymore questioning about his motives to start announcing some of the winners from the private belt tournaments. Unsurprisingly the Matador is revealed as the Heavyweight champ. Forgetting how he played a part in betraying Thantos in 2096 (he was the one choking and dragging Thantos with his cape) he calls it an honour to be managed by him and further recognition of his excellence. Next up is Terminus who is crowned as the Interstellar champ. Terminus is proud and also boastful about how he has added this to his collection and challenges GWF wrestlers to try and win it from him. He digs it is far nicer and more lucrative than the shabby GWF variant, the Interplanetary belt, which he has held a few times. This is a big blow to the GWF as seeing his potential as a great champion they’d been working particularly hard behind the scenes to get him away from the CPC and into another team but they just couldn’t match the sums Colby and Pelf offered to keep him on board. Finally, the Cruiserweight champion is Prodigy. That is interesting as Prodigy says he jumped a sinking ship to join the CPC and will now prove his greatness as a singles wrestler and match all his tag achievements. Of his old team he says “they are finished. The team is in such disarray. Anyone joining them would be like someone turning up at the scene of an Earthquake armed with a dustpan and brush”. That gets a few laughs. No doubt that Cruiserweight battles against the likes of Skinhead, Enigma and Rising Sun have the potential to be classics. Poor Janus doesn’t have a belt but he doesn’t care. His brief is to win GWF belts and receive large cash bonuses for doing so. The final announcement to Qualitar is a real bombshell. Johnny Rocket can forget about signing Paragon. The CPC have offered a much better contract for him to join them. Due to the legal wrangling Paragon’s debut will have to be delayed til 2106 and he will stay in WGX til then but what a way to end it. Chaos will be shocked by this. His old enemy back to haunt him. Word is Paragon always had his measure back in those days and was a large reason why Chaos left Dimension X. Qualitar, whilst concerned about the whole emergence of the CPC and all these huge signings, cannot help but snigger at how his rival has been done up like a kipper.
TRANSEVOLVER … Johnny Rocket is complaining vociferously about how Maggot Colby and Sonora Pest have stolen Paragon from him to start. Doomsayer soon cuts him off. Says he was outsmarted and is a lousy manager and that this will be proven when Doomsayer manages Monad to the tag team titles. Johnny demands to know who will be the partner. This is when Dreadnaught bursts in. Not that tired and haggard Dreadnaught we’ve seen for a few years now. This one is bristling with a power look and looks intimidating. Clearly he has been through the Transevolver again. Dreadnaught dismisses questions about his health. He doesn’t care if he drops down dead in the future if it means a couple more big years in wrestling. Better that than to waste away as a loser. Doomsayer says that the team is called Transevolver and that they are the CPC tag team champions. He challenges deadbeats like X-Termination to try and win them from them if they can earn a title shot. Johnny is so angry about the deceptions that have taken place he is vowing to send his team after the entire CPC and bring the organisation down. He will obviously need lots of help but it’s at this point he is beginning to win some fan support again. Still very much a villain manager but fighting for the right cause.
THE OUTCASTS … Nobody knew why a final press conference was called seeing as no more defections were in the midst. However it is then revealed the CPC has signed Bishop Hell, Splatter and Mad Jester. Quick to point out they are only banished from the GWF but are free to wrestle on Pelf Palace and contest CPC belts. They all have something to say for themselves. Splatter challenges Mayhem and Mutant to come and face him. He is angry for the deception and being treated like dirt by Krakan too many times. Mad Jester is his usual zany self but actually seems a bit gobsmacked by the opulence he is surrounded by. Bishop Hell steps forward and ignites a fireball to give his rant more levity. Angrily calling Blazing Skull a slimeball. Because of him he is banished for life rather than just the 2 years of the others. He challenges him and other members to face him at Pelf Palace in special matches. A perfect opportunity to show off the new Zero Gravity Platform match unique to CPC. Pulsar also remains on what he calls his sh*tlist. The close of this segment sees Colby confirm they can only wrestle at the Palace and although they were offered a manager the team chose not to have one. Although on occasion, depending on importance, he and Pelf may accompany them from time to time.
Note … it is unclear where this leaves Splatter’s lottery. I’ll play it by ear but it’s safe to assume (for now) they are over at GWF shows. I may still let them happen at Pelf Palace though.
UNSCHEDULED PRESS CONFERENCE … Commisioner Grogan leads this and is joined by several other wrestlers or managers for a final say. Grogan reminds that any CPC aligned wrestler is free to compete at GWF venues and be ranked. The only ones prevented are the Outcasts. He says there is not much can be done about all this but hopes it will benefit fans and make for interesting matches. He is not worried and considers the CPC just to be another GWF team that has a fancy name … Star Warrior is a bit more concerned as he knows the CPC bank balance allied to the drive of Thantos can pose a huge problem. He cannot believe Thantos has betrayed him a second time and as a result is fully committed to the Champions cause of taking the Penthouse Suite on as his first managerial assignment … Skinhead up at the mic next. He makes it well known Prodigy is a turncoat big mouth punk and that his sole aim is to come after him and his Cruiserweight belt. He will prove by doing so that he was always the superior one in their legendary tag team … Even Maleph was in attendance to respond to Bishop Hell’s challenge on behalf of Blazing Skull. Says if he wants a hardcore match at Pelf Palace he’s got it. Adding that “we would love the opportunity to spread disorder and chaos at such a nice place and reduce it to rubble” … Archon backs up Star Warrior’s views on Thantos and makes it clear the Centaurians are up for the battles ahead with the Penthouse Suite as well as continuing their ongoing feud with the Centaurians … Interestingly Enigma chooses to criticise the GWF for not having a Cruiserweight belt of its own and says he cannot believe CPC has done it instead. His very obvious attention is on Prodigy as a result … Of course Johnny Rocket is angry after having his fingers burned over Paragon. His message is that the Rocketmen will be finishing off Savage Kingdom and then coming after the CPC … Krakan says the Hitmen were considering joining the CPC but that all changed as soon as they accepted Splatter. Hi words are “Colby has gone too far”. As a result the Outcasts have moved to the top of the hit list and his men are coming for them with guns loaded … Final word is with Chaos. He reminds everyone that he is still the top guy in the GWF. In his view the Penthouse Suite is merely a team made up of Citadel rejects. Along with Heracles and Skinhead the team will continue to dominate and his first priority is to reclaim the Heavyweight belt that symbolises his greatness. There is a big warning for Paragon. Chaos urges him to think again about joining the CPC or GWF if he is smart. Chaos vows to end his career forever if he does.
NEWCOMERS:
BLADE … The brother of Crossfire brings a switchblade gimmick to the ring. His sole aim for joining is to avenge his brother’s death. Before that happened he’d never set foot in a wrestling ring but has trained hard 7 days a week for almost 2 years to reach a level where he can join the GWF to take on Blazing Skull.
EREBUS … A frightening creature from Brymstone that doesn’t talk too much. Will be forming an intimidating tag team with Death’s Head called the Lower World. Poised to face off the Centaurians in cage matches.
VENDETTA … Another traitor who joins the Colonizers to form a deadly new tag team with Nefarus called Rebel Empire. He was already a strong guy but the Omicron event made him stronger still. He is a big bruiser but also has decent agility which makes him a very capable wrestler. Rebel Empire could easily become one of the top tag teams very quickly.
CARD CHANGES:
MAXINE BABE … New look as she joins the Rocketmen. She could not wait to dump Vanity the moment he got banished and went out the limelight.
DREADNAUGHT … Gets a return to similar stats shown on his prime 2092 card. Dreadnaught is playing Russian roulette with his health by going back through the Transevolver. For now he forms a very strong looking tag team with Monad.
SOLDIER OF FORTUNE … The toll of the Transevolver switching him back and forth from Tongsoon beginning to show. Can the Mercenaries remain as a top team?
STAR WARRIOR … Finally retires to end a glorious career in the ring. Now becomes the manager of the Champions. His father’s boots are big ones to fill. He is determined not to let Thantos and the CPC destroy what his father created over 30 years ago.
PRODIGY … Ranks as the most shocking defection to the CPC. Prodigy is convinced he will write a new chapter as one of the greatest singles wrestlers to go alongside his tag exploits. His goal is to establish the Cruiserweight as a credible belt and see off the best of the high flyers that the GWF has to offer.
DEATH’S HEAD … His true background is revealed. Comes as little surprise that he is a Brymstonian given his look and cruel mannerisms. Now focused on being a tag specialist.
COMMISSIONER GUILE … We have the ridiculous scenario of Guile running the CPC. He will in no way be impartial as Colby and Pelf do not want GWF wrestlers winning their belts. They will look to Guile to ensure that doesn’t happen without making the favouritism too obvious.
DRAGONMASTER … Another vet showing signs of age. Will Titan Fury be able to hang with their younger Assassin opponents for much longer? Dragonmaster knows time is running out and with things now winding down is already looking for a career outside of the ring. He says management isn’t his style but he’d like to stay within the wrestling industry.
MANDRILL … Is Mandrill still controlling the Colonizers or is Nefarus muscling in? Either way the Colonizers are moving forwards with the plan to become the top villain team in the GWF. Mandrill has made improvements to his style and could be ready to step up and be a champion and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Thantos and Chaos. Although his Voltaic Stunner is shorter and less effective it is better concealed than ever and more potent offensive moves have been added to his armour. Mandrill will be a very dangerous opponent for Genesis in 2105.
SENTRY … The new look for Tocsin. The Colonizers get round his banishment by making him into a Stun Gun carrying bodyguard. He wears a suit and thankfully his putrid stink is largely contained within it. His job is not only to protect and run interference but also fire shots of his gun to bring down opponents. Although the art of concealment means it is very tough to aim without being caught so he is just as likely to hit the ref or worse still a Colonizer wrestler.
STATUS OF WRESTLERS:
Banished for 2 years … Vanity, Scourge, Zouave, Cycle Hog, Holocaust, Mesmer, Tocsin, Bishop Hell, Splatter, Mad Jester
Banished in GWF but active in CPC … Bishop Hell, Splatter, Mad Jester
Unknown status … Draconian Sheik and the Terrorists
Missing in action … Ram, Blizzard, Eagle, Mesmer
Retired … Omega, Star Warrior (from wrestling), Bishop Hell (from GWF), Cannibal
Inactive in GWF and CPC due to contract complications … Paragon

***BETWEEN THE ROPES***
CPC ANNOUNCE MAJOR BOYCOTT ... Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf have stunned the galaxy by announcing that the CPC will not be signing to any matches at the forthcoming DEIMOS PERENNIAL. Clearly they are very serious about their intended GWF takeover which is something that Commisioner Grogan and his officials should be very worried about. The CPC isn't about to play fair in the federation wars. When confronted Magnus Colby told "we won't make a habit of doing this because the CPC still wants to try and capture the GWF championship belts in addition to our own belts. However by missing the event and maybe future cards it will show everyone just how much more superior CPC events are. When fans see the best wrestlers in the galaxy competing regulary at Pelf Palace they will start to realize that the CPC is the better federation. In fact plans are already being made for a huge supercard at Pelf Palace later in 2105. I promise that it will overshadow anything the GWF has ever promoted!" Just minutes after the announcement Commisioner Grogan was hounded by the press and he obviously wasn't happy about what was going to happen but admitted there was little that he could do about the CPC and their attitude towards GWF cards other than to encourage his wrestlers not to sign matches at Pelf Palace. The press was probably hoping for a slightly stronger reaction than that. It is a nailbiting time for the GWF but the feeling for the time being at least is that the GWF is the bigger promotion and with it's vast roster of talent can still prevent the CPC from growing too big. While on the subject of the CPC, the first card at Pelf Palace has been scheduled for February but it is apparent that very few GWF wrestlers will be making the trip to the Palace because of a big GWF card at the Titan Sportatorium taking just a few days before. It may mean that there won't be many matches taking place but it still looks like it could be a very interesting card. One which NETWORK DEIMOS will be giving full exposure to. As Magnus Colby excitedly pointed out "you'll see on the night that the CPC aims for quality not quantity, this is the premiere wrestling promotion and when the night is over a new chapter in the history books will be written, it will be about the beginning of the CPC, about the beginning of an era, an era which will shake up the very foundations of the GWF and then destroy it." Several matches have already been signed although Sonora Pelf and Magnus Colby are being extremely tight-lipped about who will be competing. The only confirmed match is that Hunter's Moon will be locking horns with the Stormtroopers. In other matches it is rumoured that Splatter will take on Mayhem in a potentially bloody opener, to be followed by the CPC Tag Team champions Transevolver going head to head with X-Termination although it is unlikely that the CPC titles will be put up for grabs (unlike the GWF there are no rules in place for how often titles should be defended). The biggest news about the card surrounds the details of the main event which could well feature the first ever Zero Gravity Platform match, it would not be unreasonable to suggest that the Penthouse Suite will be squaring up against the Champions of the Galaxy. We'll soon find out!
THE COLONIZER PLOT THICKENS … As seen by everyone at the recent press conferences Mandrill and Nefarus are planning to become the new evil dictators in the GWF. But Chaos is still the main villain and until he is dethroned from that position the Colonizers cannot fully takeover. However it seems that the movement of power could well happen sooner rather than later because several villain managers, as seen in the press conferences, have for the time agreed to support Mandrill and Nefarus. The only stumbling blocks being Chaos himself and of course Krakan who as everyone knows entertains aspirations of leading the villains himself despite his claims that the Hitmen are an entirely Independent group. Krakan though may not prove to be a major thorn in the Colonizer's side having been humiliated by the Gladiators of Aethra during SUDDEN DEATH. He has lost the respect of the villain managers with this loss and is considered far too untrustworthy, just ask Splatter about that. Some may argue that the Colonizers record is far from impressive too after being beaten by Genesis but due to some clever planning by Mandrill and Nefarus they have managed to turn defeat into victory by seriously weakening the Genesis team with a series of planned attacks whilst bolstering the Colonizer team. They’ve become a frightening unit. If all goes accordingly and Mandrill defeats his arch enemy Max Shield in Sirius he could be in a position to challenge for the Galaxian championship sooner than he thinks. Should Pegasus hold off the challenge of Chaos at DEIMOS PERENNIAL then by rights he could be next in line for a title match with Pegasus as the top contender. But if Chaos wins the belt there is no way he would willingly give Mandrill a chance to challenge for the belt meaning that an appeal for a championship match would probably have to be made to Commisioner Grogan. Of course Chaos knows all too well that as long as he is the holder of the Galaxian title he remains the ultimate villain. Despite Mandrill's intentions many insiders believe that his lusting for the belt is as much his weakness as it is strength.

CPC 2105 STARTS HERE, VERY EXCITED TO BEGIN THE FEDERATION WARS. I HOPE I CAN DO IT JUSTICE!!!
Card 865 – Mimas Spectrum:
Ladies champ, Anaxis, retained after beating Thrash by DQ. The hot potato that is the ladies titles changed hands a total of 6 times last year. The only woman that had a firm grip on it for any amount of time was Thrash and now she was back to try and reclaim it. Anaxis had used Heracles as an intimidation tool in her last match against Supernova but there was to be no help at hand this time around. No way Heracles would be prepared to lay his neck on the line and risk getting any heat from the Gladiators. Not too much to say about the build up. Thrash calls Anaxis too weak and demure to be considered a proper champion. Although Thrash has a long standing rivalry with Amazonia she prefers to be facing her in these sorts of matches. Having a quiet respect for such warriors and deriving more satisfaction from beating her. Supernova is in the commentary booth for the match and suggests Thrash give more credit to Anaxis by saying “I know first hand how tough she can be. There is no guarantee that Thrash will outbrawl her”. With the introductions over they finally lock horns. Thrash is giving it everything. The pressure, back on Aethra, is being laid onto the Gladiators to start winning titles again. A mere SUDDEN DEATH victory not enough to placate senior ranking war officials. She shows her power in mauling Anaxis around. Taking her by the back of the neck and planting her into each and every turnbuckle one by one. The crowd isn’t sure who to cheer. Its about 50-50. A few times Anaxis scurries out of the ring to try and break up the punishment but she’s not having much joy keeping Thrash off her. At one point she was half out but then suddenly gets yanked back in by her hair and tossed over to the other side with such force that she slides under the bottom rope. This is where Thrash’s eagerness and aggression goes against her. Now running at the ropes and throwing herself through the middle like a cannonball. Anaxis just about reacts and sidesteps. Thrash hits the crowd barrier. Everyone winces but Supernova in commentary calls it a clever move. Anaxis is groggy but thinks that has done enough to get a count-out win and tries to clamber back into the ring. However Thrash defies the impact and lunges to pull her back. She is still alert enough to now pick Anaxis up and throw her into the crowd. Spectators scramble out of their seats. At that exact moment the ref signals for the DQ. Thrash’s move had been one of instinct. If she’d been thinking more clearly would likely not of done this as she would be full aware of the consequences. Her last move is to warn Anaxis that this was not the end of this title pursuit. Although Thrash may not be given a rematch straight away as she’d have to leapfrog other contenders. If she’d been the one winning by DQ things might be different. Will have to see where this goes. New Order beat Theatre of Pain in Titan Death action. There had been quite a bit of excitement building to this. The unpredictable Theatre of Pain coming face to face with the New Order. In fact a lot of people were tipping the Theatre of Pain to cause an upset given their impressive record. Despite their part-time status they have surprised quite a few teams. But a Titan Death match is just the sort of thing Dreggs and Mace relish and they used it to show everyone just how good they still are even allowing for all their past problems. With such a dominant win over a team as together and dangerous as the Theatre of Pain consensus is that New Order can quite easily become the tag team champions once again if they can maintain their heads and get along. Having begun at tremondous pace the match virtually ground to a halt as the New Order came to terms with Comedy and Tragedy's fast tags and differing styles. Mace was especially impressive as he stood up to Comedy’s power. Dreggs was also doing his part in matching Comedy’s speed and trickiness. Not falling for any of his traps and cheapshooting. Together they linked effectively and had the last laugh on the Theatre of Pain as they combined to unleash DECIMATION and take the match. Big cheers went up as they had their arms raised in victory. Now it seems the New Order are ready to take it to the Gladiators and even the tag champs No Fear. As Dreggs said in a post bout interview when asked about the proposed match with Thunder and Overkill at the Deimos Perennial "they should not underestimate us. We are working together and in the form of our lives. Ready to beat this new breed of Gladiators just like we did the old". Of course the rivalry with X-Termination isn’t completely forgotten and will simmer in the background. Dreggs knows his brother is still extremely hostile towards him. Wraith and Max Shield beat the Ninja Assassins. As seen by everybody the Ninja Assassins had already been active earlier on in the night following a brutal brawl with Draconian Sheik and the Terrorists. By the time they were due to appear for their own match the scars from the earlier altercation had barely been stitched and sealed. Within moments these wounds would bleed again as the team of Max Shield and Wraith ripped right into them. But if the Ninja Assassins were supposed to be hurting from earlier then they certainly didn't show it as they used some incredible offense to overwhelm Wraith and Max Shield. But despite their domination and ferocious moves they couldn’t finish the match off. That as much was clear when Wraith stunned the near capacity crowd evading an almost certain pin after falling victim to DOUBLE EDGE SWORD, he somehow had the presence of mind to get his foot on the ropes and stay in the match. Frustration started to show in the Assassin attacks and anxiety would have been etched across Darkos's face if you could see of it. The Assassins tried upping the tempo by pounding both Wraith and Max Shield with chops. This led to their downfall as the longer things went the better Wraith and Max Shield got. They started the match fresh unlike the Assassins and having been on the receiving end of a lot of punishment weathered the storm and emerged from their shells guns blazing. When the Assassins dropped their guard they took the initiative and blasted them. Max Shield nearly knocked Hydrax into another dimension with MAXIMUM IMPACT. It led to a terrific win for Wraith and Max Shield and added to a miserable night for Darkos. This was hardly ideal prep for the Ninja Assassins with a big shot at the tag titles looming. Mandrill just too much for Karah. Massive amount of anti-feeling towards Mandrill as he comes out. The press conferences had shown his intentions. Very likely his team will become the main villain group if Chaos doesn’t get his act together. Mandrill’s wrestling style has also been refined and the youngster Karah was to be the first victim to be demonstrated on. It was a risky match for him to take on but should Karah pull off an upset it would do wonders for his career. Sentry was lurking at ringside and keeping a very close eye on Mollock. These two had the potential to cancel each other out. Although it seemed very unlikely Mandrill would reveal Sentry’s full capabilities in such a low key ‘sparring’ match as this. Credit to Karah though. He has a go. Using his agility to keep Mandrill at bay. It’s a good while before Mandrill is able to get any kind of offence. Problem is Karah’s move set isn’t really doing much damage and it was always a matter of time. When Mandrill catches him with Prime Piledriver it is the beginning of the end. A Rack Power Bomb makes it certain. Not sure if Mollock would of interfered but it never becomes a factor. Sentry wasn’t taking any chances. From the other side of the ring firing a really accurate blast from his stun gun to put Mollock down. Mandrill now nonchalantly pins Karah and leaves the youngster in a mangled heap. Soldier of Fortune beats the transevolved Dreadnaught. Age is creeping up on Soldier of Fortune. Has lost some his menace and his purposeful march to the ring has been replaced by a more casual approach. Dreadnaught looks very much the opposite with a hulking look reminiscent of yesteryear. This is an interesting match up and a cool pre-cursor to a forthcoming bout between the Mercenaries and Transevolver. Also not forgetting the long history these two have. Krakan and Doomsayer are both in their places at ringside ready to interject and try and swing the match if things don’t go to plan. Krakan seems to hate everybody and Doomsayer is no exception. He thinks Doomsayer’s twisted experimentations have no place in wrestling. When Qualitar asked if he’d ever consider going through the Transevolver so he could maybe get back in the ring Krakan responds by pushing a rifle under his chin. The first thing Dreadnaught does when he climbs through the ropes and sees Soldier of Fortune is laugh “look at how pathetic you have become. You don’t deserve to be in the same ring. I always was superior to you when we were a team and I will prove that I still am. Bet you wish you could get another dose but I don’t anything can help you”. The taunts seem to have an awakening effect on Soldier of Fortune as he strides straight over and gives Dreadanught a painful right hander to the ear. In a surprise Soldier of Fortune keeps up the intensity. The bout goes outside many times and the ref does well to resist temptation to DQ them. When they do spend a few minutes back where they should be Soldier of Fortune strikes with THE REVENGER a couple of times. It’s not enough to pin Dreadnaught but a Hitman’s Clothesline is. Soldier of Fortune has words of his own for his beaten opponent, “I’m not over the hill yet but you are worse than ever. That was easy”. Doomsayer is baffled at how this went. Expected this to be a walkover. Drags Dreadnaught away and just yells back “wait til you face Transevolver in a tag team, this was just teething problems as Dreadnaught adapts to the changes in his body”. Draconian Sheik wins a wild conflict with Manslaughter. The true identities of the mysterious Terrorists are still unclear but Drac remains on a warpath with the Masked Assassins. This match against the was no doubt arranged at the behest of them. The wild ways of Drac proved too much for Manslaughter. Everytime he managed to gather up any kind of offense Drac would cut him down to size either by resorting to sick tactics or dragging the match outside where the Terrorists could get involved. Despite the constant appealing to the referee by Darkos to call a DQ no bell was forthcoming so tried to take matters into his own hands and armed himself with a chair with which he could attack the Terrorists with. He bravely charged them but was totally unaware of Drac coming up behind. By this time Manslaughter was bloodstained and slumped in the ring like a carcass having just succumbed to the DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. It meant Drac could support the Terrorists unhindered. As Darkos swung back, the chair was grabbed and ripped from his hands. The terrified Darkos turned round and tried to scarper but Drac stopped him and shoved him back towards the Terrorists. The entire crowd anticipated a deadly attack. However Darkos's luck was in for the Ninja Assassins were scheduled to appear later and were able to rush to his aid when they saw the attack taking shape backstage on a monitor. The inevitable occured as a brutal brawl broke out between the 6 men. Officials were trying to get in the way but as far as anyone could tell they were getting flung round like rag dolls. There was no ending the riot as it continued up the runway and out of sight with a still groggy Manslaughter stumbling along some 20 yards behind. It had been a rather rowdy way to start the night and had certainly sparked conflict. Darkos for one was furious at what had gone on and demanded that the Terrorists unmask and step in the ring themselves. The matter as at the end of the night was still unresolved although you did not have to be genius to figure out a series of matches against the Assassins will now follow for Drac.

Card 866 – Mimas Spectrum:
(Note that CPC is hosting many of it’s matches at GWF venues. Two of its champions plying their trade tonight but not billed as non-title matches because the belts are not recognised. They have not been banned from doing this, at least not yet, but of course any banished wrestler involved in the Outcasts team will be refused entry to any GWF venues)
IP champ, Talisman, survives the challenge of Draconian Sheik with a DQ win. Talisman is in a happy place again. Always thought the Champions team were too up themselves. So he has found a new home among people he can trust and hopefully lead, the Centaurians. At the moment Archon is happy to stand by and let him do his thing. His greater priority is to make sure Blade settles. Feeling he owes it to his late partner, Crossfire, to look after him. Was also keen to ensure the Centaurians weren’t outnumbered the growing numbers of Brymstone wrestlers. He has been saying all the right things to make Talisman feel valued and wanted. So Talisman comes into this looking confident but Draconian Sheik is a very dangerous threat to his IP belt. On a run of devastating form and strongly favoured to win it. Not sure Drac cares much for belts or even understands much. But the Terrorists sure do. Among their violence there also seems to be a lot of intelligence under those head dresses. Talisman comes out running with one armed raised and wearing the belt. He exudes a confidence that suggests he is more powerful and heroic than perhaps he really is. Putting too much into looking good and not enough awareness of his surroundings. The Terrorists are already standing at the end of the runway preventing a path to the ring. Talisman looks at them and raises his fists ready to take them on but then pauses and says “hey wait, where’s Drac?” He doesn’t see Drac coming up the runway behind him. He feels a knee go straight into the back. On his way down to the floor the IP belt is ripped from his waist and used as a weapon. The match hasn’t even begun so there is no DQ. The Terrorists just beat him enough to keep the match on. Talisman is tossed into the ring in a bit of a state. The ref tries to give him a couple minutes to recover but is under a time pressure and forced to get things started. Talisman takes some hefty punishment from Drac but musters some offence of his own but surely a title switch is imminent. Mostly hinges on Drac and the Terrorists staying under control. The pre-match antics already has the ref on high alert. When Talisman has a short clothesline countered he bails outside having felt a diving knee into the back of his neck. He falls right at the feet of the Terrorists. The temptation to lay into him again too much to resist. Perhaps they were hoping Drac might divert attention from them but he is too busy pointing to a camera flash in the crowd to realise or care. Talisman gets worked over again and is split open but emerges as the DQ winner and more importantly is still the IP champ. The plan for him to form a tag team with Blade will stay on ice until this title run is over. Lucky for Talisman that his injuries sustained were largely superficial. The treatment he got does actually lead to his first run-in with Archon. Talisman thinks the team should expand their feuding to Draconian Sheik as payback for this but Archon is adamant that the team’s focus should be squarely on the Brymstonians. The Mercenaries win a heated battle with Transevolver by DQ. Could the CPC tag team champions prove themselves superior to one of top GWF tag teams? That was the question on everyone's lips. We’d had a little teaser when Dreadnaught faced Soldier of Fortune in singles action and that hadn’t gone too well. Unfortunately, the question still hangs in the balance after a sour end to an intriguing tussle. The Mercenaries found the unfamiliar duo of Monad and Dreadnaught a very potent force and struggled to control the match. However they showed just why they are considered as one of the greatest teams of all time by biding their time and gradually wearing into Transevolver's stubborn defences. It started to look desperate for Dreadnaught as time ticked by because the Mercenaries began to batter him beyond help with a series of well instigated double team moves. Then as Vigilante began to subject Dreadnaught to some POLICE BRUTALITY the end looked near. Dreadnaught though somehow survived the onslaught paying testament to the fact that his 2nd dosage inside the Transevolver has indeed paid dividends and boosted his strength and stamina. He got the hot tag but it didn’t bring respite as Monad then came in for a barrage of fire from the Mercenaries. The attack was relentless as Monad was pounded without hesitation by both Mercenaries. Pinging back and forth between them. Desperately he tried to bail out of the ring in a vein effort to catch a breather. It was just the opening Vigilante was after as he menacingly leapt over the top ropes and straight onto Monad who collapsed under the impetus and then struck the barriers heavily. As Monad lay barely conscious on the outside the referee started to count him down. Sensing that Monad was not going to recover Doomsayer decided to take matters into his own hands. He rushed onto the apron and began to argue with the referee to try and break the count. The ref wasn't having it and gestured for the bell to be rung after Doomsayer gives him a meaty shove. There was a lot of uncertainty as to what had actually happened. Had Monad been counted out or had Transevolver been disqualified for what had gone on? The announcement came moments later and it was that the Mercenaries were winners by DQ. Typically Krakan was not pleased at the outcome, he felt Doomsayer had ruined what was destined to be a resounding pin victory for the Mercenaries. Later in an interview with Johnny Rocket he challenged Doomsayer to a rematch "DQs mean nothing to me, this isn't over yet. We will be coming after you and next time we'll finish the job we started tonight." Upon hearing the news of this Doomsayer obliged Krakan by arranging for a rematch, according to him “tonight the Mercenaries had won the battle but next time they meet us (at Pelf Palace) Transevolver will win the war”.
This develops further as Krakan and Doomsayer cross paths a couple of days later at GWF HQ. Both are in attendance over different personal matters. Krakan decides to attack Doomsayer to show nobody messes with him. Doomsayer, although mobile with the exo-skeleton, is not exactly able to defend himself very well. Gets easily beaten down before Krakan backs off in case any high ranking officials see. Whilst this was happening some intruders managed to smash their way into Doomsayer’s lab in Cygnus and cause damage to lots of equipment. CCTV observed a couple of guys in balaclavas carrying it out. Mercenaries are the chief suspects. Soldier of Fortune had once said of Doomsayer that for all his intelligence he never changes his access codes to sensitive areas. He betted that if he ever wanted to get to Doomsayer it would be pretty easy to gain entry. Prodigy shows his singles credentials in beating Rising Sun. Prodigy takes to singles action like a duck to water. Rising Sun was like a bullet at the start with high flying martial arts moves and delivering chops with surgical precision. Prodigy withstood it all (accumulated 3 tokens) and waited for his chance. Rising Sun was never going to keep that pace going and tired a little. Suddenly Prodigy pounced on him. Exploding with a flurry of offence. He showed off THE PERFECT TAG FINISHER several times during this flurry and the move eventually has the desired outcome of a pin fall victory for him. It was interesting to observe the interactions of the two managers, Lord Nexus and Thantos. Two legends of the GWF trying to make a name for themselves in management. Neither gets involved but whereas Lord Nexus wants to coach and encourage Thantos is much quieter and more reserved. In fact he spends as much time staring at Lord Nexus trying to psych him out as he does watching Prodigy perform. When Prodigy wins he offers a small nod and departs.
Rebel Empire has a winning debut over Royal Court via count-out. With all due respect to the Watchmen it looks like the Colonizers have a much better chance of capturing tag title success with this new team. Sentry is a real ringside threat and Vendetta looks a cruel and powerful man. He prefers to let his partner, Nefarus, start so he can get a good look at what he is in for. Commander Sam was making his managerial return in a face role. Some fans give him a hard time but he was generally well received. Sadly it’s not a winning return. His team does okay but it’s clear Rebel Empire are going to be a top team. It took a while to get going but when they did Killer Queen got annihilated. The moment he was on the end of EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT it was pretty much over. He only survived it because Jack broke the ref’s 3 count on Sam’s insistence. Nefarus reacted to the intrusion by angrily throwing Queenie over the top rope and accepted the count-out win instead. The Stormtroopers see off Karah and the Creeper. Experimental stuff from Savage Kingdom. Terak communicating in primitive animal language which the Creeper seems able to understand. Karah still learning the ropes but getting better all the time. The strange pair give a pretty good account of themselves but eventually beaten by the slicker tag teaming skills of the Stormtroopers. Karah falling to HAMMER’S LOCK. Cassandra was happy and thinks it shows she is better manager than Commando Sam was and able to bring out the potential of the Stormtroopers. Bit full of herself thinking she can be judged on one match against a team like that. Ms. Liberty stunned Thrash. From the top of the card to the bottom but Thrash doesn’t care. She wants to stay as the top contender to the ladies belt so will wrestle anyone, anytime at any place to achieve it. Nobody is at ringside, Ms. Liberty doesn’t feel comfortable letting Commander Sam be with her just yet, so hopefully a good clean battle. Turns into a disaster for Thrash. Having just hit a Neck Thrasher looks to be in control but Ms. Liberty wriggles outside and shows an uncharacteristic aggression. Dragging Thrash out with her and slamming her into the side of the ring apron. Then follows straight up with THE LIBERATOR to win. Big shock.

Card 867 – DEIMOS PERENNIAL – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
In a defiant show all CPC wrestlers boycott Deimos Perennial as promised. This probably wasn’t the huge surprise the CPC hoped for after B. Guile let the cat out of the bag late last year. However it certainly made a statement of intent. Many pundits saw it as a hollow threat that they wouldn’t go through with. Commissioner Grogan keeps saying the same thing “there is not much I can do” which isn’t exactly inspiring anyone.
INTRO (A few complaints received into GWF HQ over some of Johnny’s colourful language. He needs to watch his tongue better when calling a show) … Johnny Rocket: “Evening all. I’d like to say we’ve got a great night of wrestling action ahead of us but I am afraid I can't, well not until my Rocketmen come out and whip those pathetic zoo animals led by Terak the Insect-Rider. You’ll have to wait for that as it’s penultimate match on. Should of been the main event if you ask me. Still, even the undercard is a damn sight better than anything that CPC could ever come up with. I’ve actually come up with a new explanation of their acronym. CPC now stands for Crappy People Club. Anyway unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know those toads aren’t even wrestling here. Probably for the best as they’d only of been embarrassed. And ..." … Mesmer: "What about introducing me to the public Rocket. Dare you ignore me, Mesmer? I am the Master of the Black Arts!" … Johnny Rocket: "Oh I forgot I’d been burdened with the responsibility of sitting with you. You’re full of sh*t. Nothing but a fake as proven by Phantast at the press conferences. And aside from that you can't manage and you can't wrestle. I mean you couldn't even make it into the Crappy People Club. You just got beaten up by Splatter when you tried. That must be saying something about the sort of credability you have built up in the GWF, ha, ha." … Mesmer: "That was a disgusting sneak attack they pulled on me from which I am still suffering a lot of discomfort. If I could I'd go to Pelf Palace right now and destroy the very foundations the CPC was built on." … Johnny Rocket: "Yeah right. You and whose army? Face it you're on your own. You betrayed everybody and you've got no friends left." … Mesmer: "Watch your tongue Moonrocket or I may have to inject you with faltax and convince you that you are the no good weasel you really are." … Johnny Rocket: "Hey put a lid on it Mesmer. I'm no weasel. I've got the Rocketmen and I am the greatest manager of all time. Nobody can argue with that. Remember in 2103 when we won TEAM SUPREME. That was down to my management." … Mesmer: "Still clinging onto that fluke in the distant past, great managers get crushed at SUDDEN DEATH do they? Great managers hide behind their wrestlers, not big enough to stand up for themselves? I'll tell you something, as much as I detested them, guys like Commander Sam and Omega always fought with their hearts even as managers. You, well you're just gutless." … Johnny Rocket: "Gutless huh, I'll show you. I can fight. I tell you I can beat half the federation even though I am not trained as a wrestler. Imagine that a manager and reporter being ranked in the GWF. I like the sound of that." … Mesmer: "So when are you going to don your tights, oh no sorry leotard then Moonrocket? I doubt you ever will, you snivelling coward. Every time you did that before you got beat. Didn’t Reynard B. Guile beat you once?” … Johnny Rocket: "With all I’ve got going on I cannot possibly remember something so trivial. Anyway I’m going to show you. That’s right I'm gonna challenge Wildcat to a match next week at the Titan Sportatorium and I'll beat him. Watch for me in action folks which is more than can be said for Mesmer here whose been banished by the GWF and is a CPC reject, ha, ha. No don't bother speaking Mesmer it's time we got on with the Perennial coverage and watched the first match. There goes the music for the newcomer Blade and oh, there goes that has been Mesmer too, ha, ha." Mesmer had decided he couldn’t be in Johnny’s company and leaves the booth and that folks, was the last time Mesmer has ever been seen. Rumours are rife of his whereabouts. Some say he is back in Dimension X, others say he is now dead after his past catches up with him and he has a confrontation with his former mentor, Phantast. Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, gets the better of Chaos by DQ. Every match Chaos has is normally a big one but with Mandrill sniffing around the villain leadership and also the Heavyweight belt it becomes imperative that he wins here against his longtime rival. It would show the other villain managers that he is still the top guy and slow down Mandrill’s plan. Chaos brags this will be easy now he hasn’t got an idiot like Commando Sam dictating how he should wrestle and sending confusing signals. Pegasus is not about to roll over though. He is finally injury free and building a very strong run as the champ. He is also full of confidence having cleaned up on the end of year awards. If anything he wants to get this done and dusted so he can get stuck into the CPC guys. Maybe a mistake to underestimate or look past Chaos though. Star Warrior wants to be a very visible manager unlike Omega and makes sure he is at ringside behind his man. Chaos wonders if Star Warrior has got the discipline to be a manager and offers him up. Star Warrior doesn’t rise to it and folds his arms. Johnny Rocket laughs when seeing this “looks like Star Warrior has chickened out. That’s the only reason he retired. He couldn’t live up to the immense power of Chaos. I thought Paragon would be the man when he joined us. He still might be but for now Chaos is still the king. Those distrustful Colonizers didn’t ask for the support of the Rocketmen and I’m glad they didn’t make me choose. I am behind Chaos”. So with that speech done any chance of calling the match impartially goes out the window. As for the match, well, it’s not going to be remembered as one of the great main events. It all went out the window when the Alpha Stone faded almost immediately. Chaos saw this and looked stressed. He then comes under real fire from Pegasus. It’s just one way traffic. A damaging sequence that involved a bone-crunching clothesline, Pegasus Press Slam followed by a Tomahawk Thrust left Chaos really scrambling. It seemed each time he got up Pegasus just put him down again with a big move. Chaos angrily leaves the ring and starts tapping the Alpha Stone to try and rejuvenate it but there is nothing doing. By this time Star Warrior was within a few feet of him. Maybe trying to keep Pegasus out of the eye line of Chaos. Pegasus had left the ring too and was coming up behind Chaos to try and bring the action back in the ring. However he seemed to tread on something that made a loud sound. Chaos immediately turns and spots him. His way to deal with it is to make a grab for Star Warrior and throw him at Pegasus causing them both to topple. Almost as if this act caused a surge as the Alpha Stone springs to life again but it’s too late. The ref has already made his mind up and disqualified Chaos. Naturally brings about an angry response from Chaos. He pushes the ref backwards across the floor for doing this and then stomps away giving both Pegasus and Star Warrior a hefty kick as he did so. They managed to recover from the assault and make a small celebration. The strong title run of Pegasus goes on but the big winner from all this was surely Mandrill. The Rocketmen crushed Savage Kingdom in an Elimination match. Terak and Mollock were not accompanying. With Johnny Rocket on colour commentary Savage Kingdom wouldn’t have his sneaky interfering to worry about it so didn’t feel it was necessary. Although the decision comes back to haunt Terak as his team bombs. Maxine Babe was the thorn in the side of the Rocketmen instead and proving to be an annoyance. Unfortunately the poor tv audience has to put up with Johnny’s complaining and accusations of persecution against his Rocketmen throughout all the bouts. Johnny calls for all referees to be sacked for showing bias. He must’ve been watching a different match to the rest of us. His team was in complete control. Order of eliminations as follows … X-Termination eliminated Karah. Sleeze doing most of the damage. They then link up to send Karah to the HEADBANGER’S BALL … X-Termination gets rid of Vyper. Again with HEADBANGER’S BALL With the strongest opponent now gone the Rocketmen are well setup and could even whitewash this. This second fall was very much a shootout between X-Termination and Hunter’s Moon. Wildcat played a very big part and fought valiantly. At one point saving his struggling partner and taking the fight to both Sleeze and Grunge but it wasn’t enough and Vyper perished … Dynamo makes a mark for his new team in beating Wildcat. Poor Wildcat was flagging and a couple of strikes from Brainstorm’s HITTING THE BOOKS left him in a bad way. Clings on as long as possible but Dynamo ousted him with MUSCLE RIPPER. Oh dear, this is bad for Savage Kingdom. Just the Creeper left against 4 men … Dynamo completes the sweep against the Creeper via MUSCLE RIPPER again. The Creeper did well considering. Wrestling on instinct and roughing Dynamo up with ELIMINATOR but then got overwhelmed. You can imagine how excited Johnny Rocket was back on commentary at this outcome. He would of also been pleased at the effectiveness of Maxine Babe. It should free him up more to do his media work. Raven has the measure of Malice in a Titan Death match. The Gladiator-WAR feud is back in full swing with the bouts that have been booked at this event. This being the second one. Malice represents a very different challenge to what Raven’s been used to. After years of facing mainly the Rocketmen wrestlers in feuds here was one to test him again. Raven pledges to adapt his style to cope. He has always had a good mix of agility and power but he needs to try and bring some hardcore flavour to the table. Otherwise, as so many others have found, he will get steamrolled. Malice suffered very few defeats in his debut year but one of those was actually against Raven so his appetite for revenge is extremely high. However he will have to wait a while longer for that as he goes down to Raven again. Malice just could not keep a decent tempo and gets very frustrated quickly. It wasn’t a stroll by any means but Raven is dominating. Mixing it up with lots fast moves and also not afraid to get in close and grapple. There was even a spot where it went outside and Raven didn’t think twice about using a chair. That got a big cheer. In fact could go so far as to say it was one of his all-time greatest performances because of who it was against. Not putting a foot wrong and registering 4 tokens on Malice before finishing off via BLADERUNNER. Raven himself was never really down on the ground and stifled mostly everything that came his way. The Gladiators are understandably a bit p*ssed off by the way 2105 has begun. It will be interesting to see how Malice responds to this. A test of mental strength as he deals with his first slump since joining. Draconian Sheik wins the hardcore battle over Mutant in a Titan Death match. Recipe for carnage. The Hitmen are another group on the Terrorist radar (is anyone safe?) which makes Mutant a natural target. Krakan doesn’t want them getting to the Mercenaries so is choosing to sacrifice Mutant to keep the Terrorists away. That may only work for so long. Anyone expecting to sit back and enjoy a wild bloody battle might be disappointed. Sure it’s bloody but without any guidance neither is really sure of what is going on. Drac is dazzled by the arena lights whilst Mutant is terrifying some young fans after spotting them sharing a bag of crisps. The bacon aroma is driving it mad. After what seemed an eternity ringside officials finally get them to engage. They use long wooden poles to prod and push them. Drac tries to bite the end off his but then sees Mutant and starts wildly attacking it. Believe it or not though Mutant is hot with 3 wins in its last 4 matches. It’s wild antics are superior to Drac’s. Several times able to latch on with TEMPLE GRINDER. Drac lacks the intelligence to tap out and bears the pain. He was never going stay under the cosh for the whole bout and with Mutant slowing down as the minutes pass the momentum swiftly switches. Drac’s barbarism increases and you actually felt sorry for Mutant. By the time Drac puts on DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER a greenish type of blood is oozing from Mutant’s mouth. It gives off one last pathetic whimper and then passes out. Suddenly the Terrorists appear in the ring and perhaps for brutality awaits Mutant but they show no interest. Instead they escort Drac away from the scene. Everyone wonders who might become their next victim. Amazonia blitzed Supernova in a Turnbuckle Shock match. Been a while since one of these match types. It’s down to the women to bring it back in a contenders match. Many wrestlers shy away from this match type as they hate the electric shocks they can receive. It’s certainly brave of Amazonia and Supernova to take it on. There was talk the voltage would be toned down a bit but the way those turnbuckles were popping and sizzling without even being touched suggested they were pretty juiced up. Anyway we needn’t of worried. The turnbuckles didn’t get used once. Amazonia really had the bit between her teeth and flew out the blocks. Supernova never knew what hit her. Amazonia executes a flying toss. Supernova gets up and runs back into the action but gets floored again with a Warrior Smash. Rather than wait for her to get up again Amazonia pounces in her with a Savage Claw. Keeps it in place for about 30 seconds before releasing and going for AMAZON ATTACK. It’s an easy pin after that. The speed of victory shocked everyone. It was expected to be an close and exciting match up. Amazonia hasn’t always been too friendly in the past and that has made Supernova wary. But maybe in the glow of such an impressive win Amazonia is ready to be more tolerant. In fact when Supernova gets up after losing she is unsteady and almost rests against a turnbuckle but Amazonia rushes to stop her in case they are still electrified. Instead she allows Supernova to lean on her until she feels strong enough to support herself. A nice gesture. Wonder what might of happened if the boot had been on the other foot. The Lower World destroyed Talisman and Wolf in a cage match. The always unpredictable Wolf partners with Talisman to take on this eerie new tag team, the Lower World. Of course his main feud is against the Gladiators but with Brymstone emerging he wants a piece of them too. Blade will be the regular partner of Talisman but is currently being eased in. So Talisman finds a willing partner in Wolf. Everyone is pretty freaked out by Erebus. He was seen in the press conferences but inside the cage is an even more terrifying entity. It is clear that Death’s Head will be the brains and leader of the team. Talisman is still sporting a superior complex and insists, as the bigger star, that he is introduced first. Good job Wolf was unaware of that. It was a bad move by Talisman to enter the cage alone. Before Wolf is even on the runway he was already under savage attack inside the cage. Wolf runs towards the action but even though his partner is in peril and going through the door would the quicker entry he insists on climbing into the cage Wolf-style. As he reaches the top Talisman is being pressed against one of the sides. Death’s Head hacking at his back with long fingernails whilst Erebus powerfully pushes his head against the bars whilst also biting the neck. It’s like some kind of assault you’d see in a low budget zombie movie. Wolf hurries his ascent and leaps off the top of the cage kamikaze style and flattens all three of them like pancakes. Hurting himself in the process too. In fact he came off worst and blows out a knee. Means Talisman is on his own against the Lower World. He just cannot recover enough from the early double teaming. Death’s Head delivers FUNERAL MARCH a few times and then feeds him to Erebus. It was no nonsense as Erebus immediately hits with a Brymstone Bludgeon. Talisman falls flat on his face and gets turned over and pinned. By this time Wolf tried to crawl over and make a save but was too injured. The Lower World now looks to feast on Wolf and make things worse. However Amazonia, who was due to wrestle next, bravely charges out and into the cage armed with her shield and sword. Both Erebus and Death’s Head back away and out of the door. Danger averted. Wolf now forces himself to stand and seems to recover rapidly now. Angrily shaking the cage causing the whole thing to wobble. Will he go back after the Lower World or give the feud with the Gladiators his full attention? Maybe he’ll try and do both. This could do with a blow off. Thunder and Overkill win a chaotic match over New Order. Things been looking much better for New Order of late. They are currently getting along and rapidly improving. Years of inconsistency have plagued them but if they can beat the Gladiators they’ll be right near the top of the tag team tree once more. The improvement can be traced back to TEAM SUPREME last month where they took the Gladiators to a time-limit draw when nobody gave them a chance. Thunder remembers things very differently. Screams into camera during the promo “we should of won the match last time. Mace saved the skin of Dreggs. Tonight we will finish the job”. There is some focus on Destructon 3000. Will his inhibitor switch be on or off? He prefers to keep everyone guessing. The match itself was frantic. A lot happening. The most memorable spot was when New Order hit Overkill with DECIMATION. On seeing this Thrash hands Thunder a chair and manages to distract the ref. Thunder ran in and smashed it over the back of Dreggs and reversed the cover. Somehow Dreggs survived this but it led to DECAPITATOR. It was a travesty of justice that had turned things around. Only Mace being alert with a pin save saved his partner again. The momentum was back and forth after this until Thunder caught Mace with THE TEMPEST and got the pin. At that point Destructon 3000 had enough. He instructs Dreggs to switch off his inhibitor and enters the ring. His target is Overkill. Thunder tries to leap at Destructon 3000 but just bounces off. Overkill backs towards the turnbuckle and the crowd urges Destructon 3000 to pulverise him. Just as he gets within a step Thrash runs up behind and flicks up the inhibitor switch and Destructon 3000 pauses just as he is swinging a punch. It allows Overkill to step forward and slam him down. Before this goes any further both Mace and Dreggs pile into Overkill and a brawl begins. Thunder and Thrash soon join them. Bodies going everywhere. The ref gets out in time and hides under the announcer’s table. It takes over a dozen security armed with tasers to stop the brawl and separate everyone. That was madness. In the aftermath New Order is commended and it is accepted they were very unlucky and deserved better. Wraith beats Mandrill by DQ. With fed domination on his mind Mandrill has other priorities. However he is still going through the motions and booking matches against the Genesis team. Max Shield remains his main rival but Wraith always represents a good scalp and beating him will maintain his high ranking. Wraith is keen to make his singles mark. With uncertainty over Vertigo’s longevity and the Genesis Prime tag team it’s something he has had to think about. Johnny Rocket yawns as they go chest to chest and Wraith starts playing the invisibility game to confuse Mandrill. Rocket says “with those pathetic illusions we could be here all night. I wish Mandrill would just get Sentry to zap him or something and get this over with”. When it finally happens there is some dramatic action. Mandrill is coasting for the first few minutes and comes close to winning clean with COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. He then made a huge mistake in going for a deathjump and missing big. With Mandrill in apparent trouble Sentry sees this as his cue to fire up the gun but in trying to conceal it makes a right hash of it. The stun blast hits Mandrill and nearly gets him pinned as a result. Wraith now in total control. Sentry makes up for it a bit later with a crucial distraction but then costs Mandrill the match. Mandrill had rode out Wraith’s period in the ascendancy and managed to get back on to. Having just thrown Wraith down from the top turnbuckle he then tosses Wraith from the ring. Sentry assumes Mandrill wants him to carry out an attack and it brings about the DQ. Maybe that was Mandrill’s intention. Just wanting to avoid a pin loss and continue to look strong. Wraith wasn’t happy with the outcome. Felt a possible major pin fall victory was snatched from him and their actions were despicable. Pulsar in top from against Heracles. Pulsar readying himself for a singles push. He still has the tag belts to defend but knows as soon as No Fear loses them he will become the main singles guy on the Titan team. Heracles represents a big obstacle though. Chaos has told Heracles to win the IP belt this year. It’s a step below what Heracles is used to but he might have to fall into the line. Especially as Chaos is the clear leader of the team again. There is also pressure to beat Pulsar because for a long time the Titans have been thought of as the one of the top hero teams. Second only to the Champions. More to do with their historic significance than actual success. But that makes them a target for Chaos too. Lord Nexus proudly observes Pulsar from ringside whilst also trying to keep a watchful eye on Anaxis. He has given the green light for Pulsar to use his illegal finisher if any opponent does anything that goes against the rules first. He just won’t be doing anything to try and distract the ref as that goes against his own morals. All this comes into play almost immediately as Heracles lays on a choke almost as soon as things are underway. The ref calls a break which Heracles refuses. Classic heel work as he gets a 5 count and releases right at the last moment. Only to then apply it again. Rinse and repeat several times. Lord Nexus shouts encouragement from ringside, tells Pulsar to not let himself get bullied. Pulsar responds brilliantly. In no time at all is well on top and throws ACID RAIN. Heracles never really recovers from the moment he took the move. The ref doesn’t want to know when Anaxis complains and turns a blind eye each and every time it got used (3 times in all). In between all of these Pulsar even knocked Heracles silly with WHIRLWIND. It was hugely impressive from him even though the legality of the move is always under scrutiny. Heracles could take no more by the third time it was unleashed. As he staggers around totally unsighted and dealing with the burning pain Pulsar pins him with a schoolboy to close things out. Max Shield overcomes Nefarus by DQ. Genesis against the Colonizers is still a very hot feud. Max Shield insists his team will not be a Colonizer stepping stone and they will never leave them alone for as long as they exist in the GWF. With Nefarus emerging as almost a co-leader of the Colonizers beating him is every bit as important as beating Mandrill. Plenty of trickery from Nefarus is on display. Pulling everything in the ‘book of cheats’ to try and get an opening. Begging off being a common move. Max hesitates a number of times allowing Nefarus to catch him with cheap shots. It seems that Max is also getting bothered by Sentry. In truth it was a big disappointment. Just as the match threatened to get going Nefarus goes cowardly and rolls himself out the ring. Grabs the stun gun off Sentry and just blasts Max with it with no attempt to conceal it. He’d rather lose on a DQ than get pinned. Max looks vulnerable after taking this in the chest but luckily Nefarus is no mood to do anything further. Just enjoys the sight of Max at his feet and spits on him before leaving. Nefarus then deals with some questioning in the aftermath over his role in the team to which he replies “my going after the tag belts instead of the Heavyweight belt has nothing to do with hierarchy. Our goal is to capture all the belts with myself and Vendetta forming an unstoppable team as Rebel Empire. Mandrill will be dealing with Max more than me”. Blade blows Gila away. Lots of fans excited to see Blade in action for the first time. Should be an easy start for him. No point sending him to ‘swim with the sharks’ straight away. His mastery of the switchblades is incredible. He tosses one an inch past the ear of Gila and it pins a balloon that had floated in by its string to one of the turnbuckles. Gila almost soiled himself in that moment. Johnny Rocket remarks over the airwaves “so the boy’s got some neat circus tricks but let’s see if he can wrestle”. Gila gets some composure after that heart stopping moment and attacks Blade whilst the ref tries to speak to them in the centre of the ring. Would he be a big party pooper and spoil Blade’s big debut? We needn’t of worried. Blade counters the sneak attack and it’s over in about half a dozen rolls. Gila gets levelled with SWITCHBLADE KICK and that was that. Blade excitedly celebrates the win and enjoys a great fan reception. The Brymstone Burning team better take notice. Poor Gila is left to go crawling back to his hole. Will we see him again anytime soon? Cassandra and Dark Justice beat Ms. Liberty and US. Patriot in mixed tag action. Bit of banter over whether Cassandra is not only managing Justice but he has become her new fella. She said if him only a few months back “he has a lot of attractive qualities”. Anyway all that soap opera aside this was an interesting tussle. Justice was certainly not shy about trying to get hands on Ms. Liberty even though it’s against the rules. Adam cannot bring himself to do the same to Cassandra despite getting slapped by her at one point. There was plenty of cool action. The most stand out being Adam taking a hefty hit from SHOCK PROBATION (+4) but still kicking out. Unfortunately his wife, Ms. Liberty, got into trouble against Cassandra and ultimately lost to a Valet Crack. It wasn’t a good night for Ms. Liberty who was later reported to be attacked by Thrash who is still stewing about about losing their match on the last card.

Card 868 – Sirius Silver Spire:
Ninja Assassins make sure the reign of No Fear is a short one and become new tag champions. Air of inevitability about this. The Ninja Assassins have upped things considerably since their facelift. Many breathtaking performances and here is another. They just have too much in their weaponry for No Fear to cope with. Linking up to slay Archon with DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. Pulsar could possibly of saved Archon but hesitated after climbing through the ropes. In that split moment remembering how much Archon hates rule breaking of any kind and probably deciding it’s not worth the aggro. Darkos takes possession of both belts barely allowing the Ninjas any time with them. He declares the second reign of the Assassins has finally arrived. The dust barely settles on this when the speculation of who the first challengers will be. The chance to inject the titles into the Masked Assassin-Titans feud could be too much for the GWF championship committee and the promoters to ignore. Especially after what went down earlier. Mandrill defeated Max Shield by DQ. Genesis members not liking being described as sparring partners for Mandrill as he preps an assault on the Heavyweight belt and expanding the Colonizer domination. Max says he will ram Sentry’s stun gun down his throat if they try anything. In the process he will aim to destroy Mandrill and derail his title ambitions. Might be a bit late to stop a title shot happening but he can at least put doubts in the mind of Mandrill as to his readiness to match up to Pegasus. Sadly Max is not up to the task. His over eagerness to injury (maim?) Mandrill just lands him a ranking damaging DQ loss. Then gets set upon by both Mandrill and Sentry and can count himself lucky Massif was doing some work at the venue. He soon put a stop to any post match antics. The outcome didn’t get a good fan reaction. Across the last 2 cards there have been 3 DQ outcomes in matches putting the Colonizers against Genesis members. If this feud is to continue in its upper card slot there needs to be some special matches to freshen things up and separate the men from the boys. Manslaughter overpowered Scion Nexus. Too much clowning around from Scion Nexus for my liking. His youthful inexperience has him wanting to show off fancy moves. His father, Lord Nexus, is a patient man but even he isn’t happy and calls out “turn it in. This is wrestling, not gymnastics. Focus”. Scion respectfully nods back and gets going. Once he got serious he was great. Really holding his own despite barely having wrestled any singles action. He possibly should of won but lost out to a brawl and then Manslaughter got on a run with SNAP, CRACK, POP which proved too much to withstand. But it doesn’t end there. In a sinister turn Enigma joins Manslaughter and carries on the attacking. Like a couple of street thugs they lay into poor Scion Nexus. Both delivering their finishers over and over again. Lord Nexus tries to help his son but gets held back by Darkos also appearing on the scene (he wasn’t at ringside initially). It took the arrival of Pulsar threatening to douse them all with acid to break things off. Medics attend to Scion Nexus and he is stretchered away. Darkos wins against Draconian Sheik by DQ. With the Ninja Assassins going for the tag belts in the main event a match against Draconian Sheik is not something Darkos wants to be doing. But in a rare act of bravery Darkos took it on so it might deflect the attentions of the Terrorists from his own guys. If their lust for savagery is satisfied against him it might be worth it. Of course everyone expecting a walkover is forgetting Darkos can actually wrestle. He’s nowhere near what he used to be but is certainly no jobber. Anyway Darkos does okay. Keeping Drac at bay for a while. When Drac manages to toss him from the ring the Terrorists lay the boot in. Looks as if something serious could occur but when Drac hears the bell go he seems to freak out and tears off down the runway screaming manically. The Terrorists have to abandon and take off in pursuit of him. All a bit weird. Supernova outclasses Maxine Babe. Johnny Rocket seems to be quite taken with Maxine Babe since she became part of his team. Lecherously blurting into his mic “phwoaaaar” every time she skipped past his eyeline. He makes the mistake of doing the same to Supernova to which she yells “sexist pig” then swivels and embarrassingly takes him down with a spinning kick which knocks his expensive designer sunglasses into the crowd. That will become a cool souvenir for somebody. Maxine Babe tried to take advantage of that distraction. Has Supernova under the cosh for a little while but ultimately class shines through. Supernova is just superior in every aspect and turns it around. A Cetus Slam her father would be proud of seals the deal. Johnny by this time was back on his feet and tried to interfere but was way too late to the party. New Order defeated Mayhem and Mutant by DQ. New Order are barely over DEIMOS PERENNIAL and facing the Gladiators and now comes this. But if they want to be big players on the tag scene again they’ve got to accept the hardcore matches coming thick and fast. Mayhem looking bloodthirsty and rips into Dreggs from the start but it’s Mutant that makes most headway when it gets tagged. Applies TEMPLE GRINDER to Mace a couple times. Mace is not having any of that and turns it around. Pulverises Mutant with MACE’S LITTLE HELPER three times in a row. Each time Krakan or Mayhem foils the pin. Mace then angrily tosses Mutant out of the ring. Rather than follow he just watches the carnage as Mutant starts to go nuts and draws the DQ all on its own.

Latest News:
Krakan and the Hitmen after 2 years of being tethered to the Gladiators are enjoying going back to picking their own feuds. Their current main targets are the CPC Outcasts (for Splatter) and the Transevolver team over whom the Mercenaries hold an early advantage. He calls Doomsayer some kind of mad scientist, “that’s why I tried to attack him”. Doomsayer’s laboratory also gets smashed up and the Mercenaries are initially detained by authorities but Krakan later manages to pin the blame on Mutant. No jail will take it on so it is swiftly returned to Krakan’s custody in exchange for a large fine payment. An offshoot of all this is that Krakan wants the Mercenaries to receive a shot at the CPC tag belts held by Transevolver. Having crushed them in a recent bout (only a DQ win to show for their domination) with a rematch at Pelf Palace to come Krakan thinks it’s a no brainer. Doomsayer wanting revenge for the attacks on him and his property is up for it but it needs Commissioner approval. It’s Reynard B. Guile’s first big decision to make. Predictably it is not a popular one. Despite the Mercenaries looking stand out candidates he decrees they must beat the superstar team of Janus and Terminus first to prove they are worthy to be in the same ring as the CPC tag belts. If they fail then the match at Pelf Palace will just be a non-title match. Krakan calls the decision outrageous but plans to make B. Guile look like a fool by destroying both teams. Details emerge on the whereabouts of Ram. After the Colonizers lost to Genesis at SUDDEN DEATH it was assumed he had been cut loose and was travelling to different galaxies looking for a place to settle and find acceptance. However it turns out Mandrill had him placed on Omicron to carry out hard labour slave duties there under his oppressive rule. Ram was more miserable than ever. It was bad enough being a slave but to be moved out of the public eye and away from wrestling was worse than ever. He made a bold bid for freedom after befriending some other slaves and managed to escape his captors. Unlike many of the other slaves he had the skills and strength to fight his way out. After commandeering a transport ship he got to a teleportation site and beamed himself back to Andromeda. Immediately seeking out an old friend in Incredible Badger with whom he has now made amends. Badger talked him out of a return to wrestling and the two of them are now often seen by fans sitting in the many beautiful parks throughout Andromeda. They sit and play chess like a couple of old men but are always happy to share their stories with fans when approached.
Looks like Mandrill’s alliance with the other villain managers is already working in his favour. All villain contenders are to stand aside to clear a path for him to challenge the Heavyweight championship after the failure of Chaos at DEIMOS PERENNIAL. There is no intervention from the GWF as although not #1 contender he is ranked high enough to be considered if anyone above him forgoes. It’s time for Mandrill to deliver. Although he has triumphed in some big events, belt gold has eluded him in the 5 years he has been in the fed. Pegasus is confident he can see him off and says “bring it on”.
Thrash is targeting Ms. Liberty. Totally embarrassed by losing to her. Thrash wants to face off again and this time make it a special match so she can really do some damage. Ms. Liberty had tried to ignore her but came under attack during DEIMOS PERENNIAL. This maybe a challenge she cannot shirk.
Time is already up for No Fear. There was hope this popular duo would stay together longer by building a tag title reign but they dropped the belts almost immediately. It was a weak effort compared to some of their heroics last year against the Lords of Fire. Maybe their hearts weren’t in it. The Ninja Assassins take over as the new champions. There can be no denying that they don’t deserve this. They were the reason the Masked Assassins pulled back a huge deficit last year against the Fighting Titans. Although end of year award results behind runner up aren’t published it was leaked they had finished third in the eventual list which was an achievement.
The Masked Assassins and Fighting Titans feud is ready to heat up again. Obviously the Ninja Assassins becoming tag champs makes things feisty. But what’s really lit the touch paper is the bullying attack on Scion Nexus. It was a vicious targeting and left Scion needing a stretcher. He seems to of got away without too bad injuries as it’s only 2 cards but that’s besides the point. Manslaughter and Enigma didn’t get off too lightly as they cop a 6 card suspension but I don’t think Darkos cares. He’s got the tag belts and also sent a very painful message out to the Titans that his team means business. Any hope that the Terrorists would sidetrack his team totally downplayed by this occurrence. There is some frustration from Lord Nexus that Darkos didn’t get suspended too but because he didn’t land a detectable blow he gets away with it. Lord Nexus says of it “I think they got that decision wrong but I will have to respect it. The best way to get back at Darkos is to beat his guys in the ring when they return and also try to get those tag belts off the Ninja Assassins”. Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf are now under permanent personal guard (they can certainly afford it). They’ve been getting bombarded with death threats. Presumably an angry minority of GWF fans. Commissioner Grogan urges the fan base to try and stay calm. Violent threats are not the answer. He is confident this is just a passing phase and things will be back to normal in a few months once Colby and Pelf have gotten bored of playing this game. It’s good that he is not worrying but some people wish he would take this a bit more seriously. The CPC has the wealth to follow this through. CPC’s first official card from Pelf Palace is coming. More details emerging all the time. Main event is a big one, Penthouse Suite against the Champions team. GWF not shy about sending it’s wrestlers there to try and show the CPC roster up. They are trying to do things the right way and in the process embrace healthy competition as they are so confident in their own product. Star Warrior makes a rallying call on behalf of his team. It’s his first big assignment as manager of the Champions and he promises “we will do our part to protect the GWF. There’s too many egos on that team, including Thantos, to succeed in the long term. Hopefully we can bring them down a few pegs right from the beginning”. There will be CPC titles defended as members of the Penthouse Suite will appear twice on the same night. Prodigy being given an easy ride in his first Cruiserweight title defence as it is decided Karah is the best contender. Karah loving the chance to be in the spotlight and do his bit for the GWF. It will be a tough task but maybe if Mollock is allowed to be at ringside it will give him a chance. Also the Heavyweight belt is on the line but in a decision that will cause annoyance it is being kept in-house as Janus is offered the first chance to win it from the Matador. The losing wrestler will then be tasked with capturing GWF titles. Tag belts might be on the line. Transevolver and the Mercenaries will take each other on but as mentioned further up it is all dependent on what happens on #870. The Mercenaries must win there to earn the right to make it a title match. No part on the bill for the Interstellar belt so Terminus will carry that a while longer. When he does eventually defend it will likely be against US. Patriot. Adam seen as someone who can give a good entertaining match but lacking the mental toughness to beat Terminus on his own patch. Commissioner Guile is not sharing any rules on how often titles will be defended but someone with inside knowledge has said there are no mandatory timescales. Titles might only be defended every other month or even once a quarter. They will just do as they please and book according to what suits the moment. INJURED – Scion Nexus (2), Vertigo (minor all year); SUSPENDED – Manslaughter (6), Enigma (6)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: DRACONIAN SHEIK - more a culmination of a couple months work. Drac has been ferociously destroying most of what the Terrorists put before him. They continue to spread fear among the fed.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: NEW ORDER - ok, they may of just lost to the Gladiators but it was hugely controversial. There were other wins for them to enjoy. They just seem to finally have got their sh*t together and are a top team again.

DARK MATCHES –Titan Sportatorium
Daeman takes down Draconian Sheik in a Stun Rod match. Wondered if Drac will even know how to use a stun rod. It’s a weapon so instinct will probably takeover. There’s no controlling his rage at first and it doesn’t look good for Daeman. However Drac is nowhere near as effective without the Terrorists at ringside to guide him. Daeman gets wise to this and just stays away as much as possible. Letting Drac burn himself out attacking other things. Anything but him. It’s mainly just objects. All the while Daeman has got his eye on the holster light so he can make a grab for it immediately. It would just be a juiced up nunchuck to him and could do some real damage in his hands. Disappointingly the thing never lights up and with the crowd getting impatient for some wrestling action he has to engage Drac. He comes up behind as Drac is busily gnawing at a turnbuckle. In a devastating flurry he unloads lightening speed kicks and then grabs hold with Daeman Death Grip. Follows this up with IRON HAND a couple times and it gets him a win nobody expected. Things looking real good at the moment for the Ninja Assassins what with their recent capture of the tag straps and now showing they can cut it when called upon to grapple singles action.
Monad survives a scare to beat Brainstorm. Monad has old scores to settle with the Rocketmen so this feud simmers in the background. Doomsayer allowing to break away from tag team duties momentarily. Commissioner Guile insists Monad wears his CPC tag belt to the match so the GWF crowd can get a good look at its beauty. Incredibly Brainstorm almost won this. He got out the path of a deathjump. Monad’s high pin rating makes any pin attempt dangerous especially when Doomsayer fails to interfere as he did. Brainstorm managed to kick him off the apron. Perhaps that brief delay in covering gave Monad just enough recovery time. He manages to power out and after this Brainstorm’s chance of a shock is missed. Later finding himself in SURFBOARD SUBMISSION which has Darla in tears to see him suffering. Sadly the poor misguided girl idolises him. Titan Attack turn on the style to beat the Stormtroopers. Scion Nexus trying to show a few injuries won’t slow him down. He wasn’t about to miss a chance to perform in front of his adoring home crowd. Nearly gives them an unbelievable show by almost immediately pinning Powerhouse. After the buzz of this near miss dies down an even contest plays out. Both teams having their moments. Eventually Ursa Major starts to get on a run of impressive high flying moves and Powerhouse just cannot cope with it all. The Titans then link up to perform TWIN HAZARDS on him to finish the match.
Colussus pinned Skinhead. Tough intro to singles life for Skinhead. Although he is very competitive and suggests that he could do well. Especially in the Cruiserweight division of the CPC if he chooses to go after. Puts some decent moves on Colussus here. But cannot maintain it. Colussus starts to telegraph him and adds tokens with his impersonations of BAD ATTITUDE. Then brings about the end via a Colussus Double Smash. Skinhead doesn’t take the loss graciously and calls any win that Colussus earns as cheating because of the internal cyborg circuitry embedded in his body. Wildcat easily beats Johnny Rocket. Probably just as well this was dark. After all the bravado Johnny didn’t actually want to do the match. Least of all on live TV. Wears a singlet that makes him look like the latest winner of Mr. Puniverse. His attempts to wrestle don’t fare much better than his look. In the 2 or 3 minutes it all lasted he was barely on his feet. Wildcat not giving a moments respite before deciding to go for the pin after a Savage Slingshot Suplex. The Titan crowd enjoyed seeing Johnny get destroyed. Supernova totally whips Cassandra. All too easy for Supernova. Cassandra gets no foothold and in what seemed no time at all is being pinned after SPEED OF LIGHT.
DARK MATCHES –Titan Sportatorium
Painmaster delivers a small upset in beating Alpha Force. The older bro of Star Warrior is adjusting to life with him as the manager. Alpha Force embraces the move and says he has no problem following the orders of a great leader. By the same token he doesn’t want to be receiving any special treatment from his sibling. Something some cruel, misguided people used to level towards Omega and his handling of the team. Anyway after discussing with Star Warrior he takes this match on with a view to kickstarting his singles career again. It’s clear that he will be needing a few more to get back into it again though. It’s not vintage Alpha Force at all. Painmaster fully deserving of this win and not needing any help from Sentry. Just kept putting Alpha Force in THE TORTURE RACK until it yielded the submission. Star Warrior chose not to interfere. Am sure he will be more hands on than his father was but at the moment is doing a lot of observing. Ursa Major deals with a nagging old problem as he beats Pollux. Must be said that Pollux was in the bad books with the Titan crowd. Having had some history with Ursa Major (and Lord Nexus for that matter) as we remember that horrible Titan Bums angle. Pollux certainly does and brags to the crowd he was the main guy on that tag team whilst Ursa Major was the reason it failed. Anyway the fans were hoping he would soon to be silenced on that. On paper it should of been a stroll but Ursa Major huffed and puffed a little bit. Although Pollux didn’t really get anything on him. Ultimately Ursa Major gets the job done with a moonsault being a stylish way to do it. Blazing Skull crushed Meteor. Like a lamb to slaughter Meteor enters the ring against Blazing Skull. Maleph is big on intimidation and flaps about warning Meteor he will be thrown onto the bonfire once he is beaten. Poor Meteor looks pretty petrified. He subtely sticks a tube up his nose and takes a sniff. It seems to relax him again. Officials look closely at him with puzzled looks. Before they can call him over to be searched Blazing Skull is upon him. They decide to back off and let the match commence. It’s one way traffic as expected although Meteor does draw gasps by surviving BURNING TOUCH. An annoyed Blazing Skull administers a Skull Head Crack and tries it again. Meteor wasn’t going to get away with it a second time and is defeated. Raven overcomes Dynamo. Won easily enough with BROADSWORD. Frustrated that her new man had been beaten Maxine Babe swings her bag at the celebrating Raven. Reckon that purse Maxine Babe was loaded by the way Raven went down. Destructon 3000 has been much more active in recent months and fights Raven’s corner. With Dynamo now on his feet and taking possession of the purse to rein down with more blows Destructon 3000 steps over Raven’s semi conscious body. He gives the advancing Dynamo the littlest of pushes. Sends Dynamo almost spinning like a ball over the other side of the ring and out onto the floor. He collected Maxine Babe along the way.
Rebel Empire brush aside Hunter’s Moon. Rebel Empire really impressing in their early link ups. They absorb the early energies of Hunter’s Moon and then takeover. Wildcat gets totally brutalised but they cannot get him pinned. So they turn attention to Vyper. He isn’t so lucky and gets put away with EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT. This is definitely a team well capable of capturing the tag titles for the Colonizers and a massive improvement on the Watchmen. Vengeance easily beats the Creeper. Vengeance has been pretty quiet at the start of 2105. In fact the whole Gladiator team has. Never a good thing as that means something big might be coming. For now it’s a low key battle against the Creeper. Won without any dramas via HELTER SKELTER. Mollock had been present at ringside but seemed hesitant to interfere. Almost if it feared the Gladiators.
