I read today that the Raiders plan is indeed to keep playing regular season games in Oakland before making the possible move to Las Vegas after the stadium is built (provided the NFL owners vote yes as expected.). But I also read again that the possibility of a Raiders preseason home game still exists while they wait for the stadium to be built.

Seems that the Raiders will have to wait till next summer to find out if they can move.

Seems that the Raiders will have to wait till next summer to find out if they can move. The stadium bill was signed into law by Governor Brian Sandoval today at UNLV with Raiders owner Mark Davis in attendance and the plan is still for Davis to mention his desire to move at the owners' Fall meeting in Houston tomorrow and Wednesday for a possible vote by the owners in January. www.reviewjournal.com/business/stadium/gov-brian-sandoval-signs-football-stadium-bill-video

Just what I read on CBSSports said the owners are thinking about tabling it until July but if it's January, cool.

Really hoping this passes and can't see a reason why it wouldn't. Makes all the sense in the world. Besides a great new regular NFL city, you have a major Super Bowl venue in a city that can easily handle it hotel room wise. Plus as an added bonus for people like us, Wrestlemania in Vegas will most certainly be happening.

Yeah, if the NFL owners approve the move so the stadium can get built, I think by about 2020 or so there will be Wrestlemanias at both the Rams new stadium in Los Angeles and the potential Raiders new stadium here in Las Vegas. If so, I'm going to both.

video from today's NFL owners meetings in Houston of one of the most influential NFL owners Jerry Jones of the Cowboys talking about his support of the Raiders possibly moving to Las Vegas:

Was reading that Oakland is trying to sort out a stadium situation but not sure they'll get it done. If they do, do the Chargers skip L.A. for Las Vegas?

I think if the stadium votes next month fails in San Diego (and it sounds like it is going to fail) then the Chargers would move to Los Angeles and share the stadium the Rams are building regardless if the Raiders stay in Oakland. Of the two teams, I think I would prefer the Raiders coming here, but at the same time I don't want to take anyone's team from them either. I just want that new stadium and unfortunately, although the vote passed the legislature, the shovels aren't going into the ground until an NFL team is secured.

That is a nasty catch-22. Hope it all works out.
