Beat the teams you're supposed to, knock off a coupe you weren't and that's a winning season.

It is nice seeing Ameer Abdullah still in the NFL and given a chance, even if a small one, to show what he can do. Been a fan since the Lions drafted him.

thoughts on the Raiders moving on from franchise-leading passer Derek Carr?
he definitely has not played well the last few weeks and they have a chance to get out of most of his contract provided he does not get hurt the last two weeks, but I am not sure yet if this is the right move or not

My 40+ years as a Raider fan are really being tested right now. This team has been pretty much dog shit for 20 years now and the only player that has been a consistent bright spot is being sold down the river. I was wary when Josh McDaniels was hired as his past history as a HC is not good on many levels. Mistake in my opinion. What is he going to do now? Bring in Tom Brady? For what, one year? Jimmy Garappolo? These are not answers. That will not make the team any better. The defense has been atrocious for a decade. That has not changed.
I don't know how much longer I can follow this team. It's too nerve wracking. I will say that wherever DC goes, I will be supporting. Hopefully he still has enough in him to have success because his time in the league so far has been wasted with little to show for the great years he has had.

I think Mark Davis is being too generous with Josh McDaniels as I still don't understand why Davis earlier this season said Rome wasn't built in a day. The Raiders were not rebuilding they were a playoff team last year and doing things such as signing Chandler Jones in free agency (which overall has not worked out) and trading a First Round and Second Round pick for Davante Adams (who has now said in the press he is only focusing on the next two games here in Las Vegas after they benched his college teammate Carr.) Those are not the moves of a rebuilding team and for Davis to defend McDaniels as if this was a rebuilding season instead of a season in which they were supposed to contend is inexcusable.

Yeah, over the years it has become obvious that Mark Davis is not a good owner. He focuses on everything but having a good team. I think he's more interested in the image of the team. Well, winning is a good image! As far as rebuilding - you'll never get anywhere if you keep knocking the house back down. Which is what the Raiders have been doing for so long now.

I ever say this...but thank goodness the season is over. It was miserable being a RAIDERS fan.
Defense Secondary needs HELP and so does the O-Line...I say stick with Stidham for next year, and THEN if things don't pan out, THEN go get a new QB. Might even use a LATE draft pick on a QB...but do NOT even think about bring brady in!!! NO!!! NO!!! NO!!!!

At this point I'm more interested in who the Saints are drafting. Me and the Raiders are having a trial separation.
