seeeing the Raiders win was one of the few good things that happened for me in the NFL today, although if the Eagles can keep their 5 point lead over New England (looks likely as they just stopped them on 4th Down with just over 2 minutes remaining) then my afternoon parlay ticket is still alive (I need the Cowboys to win tonight too.) although the Eagles nearly blew it, they held on to cover and the Cowboys won 40-0 to keep my afternoon ticket alive, now I just need the Jets to win tomorrow night (or lose by no more than 2 points) and I can cash in my 6-1 ticket. I went 0-3 on my morning ticket (I picked two of the 3 winners but neither covered.) |

Unfortunately, yesterday Garoppolo played like Carappolo.
And I was worried about the Raiders defense even before Chandler Jones had his meltdown.
Hopefully we can get things back on track this weeeknd when we host the Steelers in the Sunday Night game.

Unfortunately, yesterday Garoppolo played like Carappolo. And I was worried about the Raiders defense even before Chandler Jones had his meltdown. Hopefully we can get things back on track this weeeknd when we host the Steelers in the Sunday Night game. Game wasn't looking to bad until right before halftime. Than it got very bad, defense was horrible Jimmy G was disappointing too. |

I'm looking forward to the Raiders hosting the Steelers on Sunday night, but I'm scared at the same time. They got trounced by Buffalo after a promising start to the game. Hopefully they have a better showing against the Steelers.
It's now over twenty years of pretty disappointing seasons for the Raiders, save for some exceptions. I keep waiting for the turnaround and was hoping Garoppolo would be a breath of fresh air at QB but the jury remains out on that.

One of the biggest problems the Raiders have playing in Las Vegas is too many visiting fans in the stands. Every fan base wants an excuse to travel out to Vegas.

Every fan base wants an excuse to travel out to Vegas. yeah, I see this hapening too at Golden Knight and at UNLV games but the problem is especially bad with the Raiders because in the NFL, unless you play in the same division, it might be years before a team visits a particular city again. For example, since the Raiders moved here in 2020, the Seahawks have not played a regular season game in Las Vegas. |

I saw on Facebook that one of the Steeers fans there is a fellow Social Studies teacher at my high school. He is one of 2 guys from Pittsburgh in our department. |

I am not sure what the Raiders were thinking kicking that field goal with 2 minutes left when they still needed a touchdown and then Carapollo throws his 3rd interception of the game.
It might be a long year as a Raiders fan but we have a weak schedule (the Bears, Broncos again, etc) and that should lead to some victories.

Yea with time on the clock and field position the better play was go for 1st down if not TD. Score TD and go for 2 point to tie. If you don't get the tie you get the ball back and can attempt a long FG for the win at the end. |
